  • That's most useless idea I have seen in a while. Like really, how many people care about pips?

  • Not to mention how many nurses I run into that just get free wall hacks

Just give Nurse blidness while charging her blink. No need to nerf a perk that is fine on any other killer.
She would stop gatekeeping so many perks.

  • You are funny…

    - display to survivors they are exposed
-remove aura reveal of NOED to survivors

This way you won't get on suicide save of hooked survivor, but you need to try a little to find the hex (not like totems are hard to find).

Interestingly, many of the killers typically ranked high on tier lists have average or below average win rates. For example, Billy, Nurse, Chucky, and Artist are near the average. Oni, Wesker, Spirit, Pyramid Head, and Huntress are below average.

More like Devs giving too much power to the Power Role which leads to one sided fun. Devs treating Survivor like a joke role to Killer fantasy when they all say Dead by Daylight should be horror.

    How so?

Patch notes from last year or so say otherwise. I hope you really don't think yellow mori basekit is a buff for killers…

  • Yeah, same for me. I haven't seen not even 50% for either side for several weeks.

if it’s good enough already why is it rarely used or seen? I’ll tell you why because it’s really not that good enough

The perks strength is on demand speed but the speed is so negligible it’s really not worth it a simple 10% buff to it would make it to where it’s half the strength of a sprint burst but also only lasts 2 seconds

if it’s good enough already why is it rarely used or seen? I’ll tell you why because it’s really not that good enough

Based on nightlight, pickrate is around 2,27%. That's higher than most perks in DBD. So seems good enough to me.

Speed is enough for you to reach window, or pallet you shouldn't reach. It shouldn't be even close to speed distance of Sprint Burts. Yet alone removing health requirment.

Dramaturgy is also not simple haste perk.

A slightly faster Dramaturgy wouldn't make you able to run over Trapper's traps or even bypass some platforms.

A slightly faster Dramaturgy wouldn't make you able to run through the Killer to ignore bodyblocks.

A slightly faster Dramaturgy wouldn't make you invulnerable for a second.

A slightly faster Dramaturgy can still screw you over by making you exposed or giving your position away by screaming.

A slightly faster Dramaturgy wouldn't be instant and would still require using it before being in imminent danger due to it's startup.

Dramaturgy doesn't really need a buff, it's a meme perk like every aspects of the Nick Cage chapter, but even hyper-buffed it would never be on the level of old DH.

Dramaturgy doesn't really need a buff, it's a meme perk like every aspects of the Nick Cage chapter, but even hyper-buffed it would never be on the level of old DH.

Did you ignore the part where OP wanted also remove healthy requirement? At that point it would be stronger than old DH at least against most M1 killers.

  • I personally liked PTB version more, but I am quite happy it's gone.

Funny is I hated Distortion (players) more while playing a survivor than killer.

  • Someone wants old Dead Hard, but better.

The perk is already good enough imo.

  • only one that gets to fun is the killer

Oh no, killer is having fun. That's highly unacceptable!

  • Why is it useless?

I really want to try it with Finesse and probably Lithe, or Dramaturgy (might be too much). Just try to stay healthy for as long as possible.

I might use it basically instead of Bond for soloQ.

  • Yeah, if I see survivors trying to use that offering, they are dead.

  • Funny is you can still easily bodyblock someone there with a stealth killer at least.

  • Don't even bother, she is just gone. I have switched to Blight, so survivors have more "fun".

They really want to avoid that players think they need to grind to Level 200 or that they are missing out on something. 2 Million BPs would exactly achieve that.

Then put some valid number on all levels. 5k is a joke in my opinion

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

This is just so that players can see a number getting bigger the more they play. Because honestly, it was pretty frustrating to reach Tier 85 and then there is nothing to do with the Rift, every Challenge you complete grants no Rift Fragments, your playtime does not grant anything, any Login Rewards, etc…

They will not put something meaningful past Tier 85, simply because they already made the Rift so easy to complete because players did not want to miss out on anything. Therefore, Tiers after Tier 85 will just feature a few BPs, which is fine.

They will not put something meaningful past Tier 85

I am perfectly fine with just BP, but fact that amount is lower than start of the rift seems like a joke to me.

level 200 should be like 2M, not 5k…

  • Not really, I enjoy playing against him. All of his powers give me a chance to outplay them.

  • 109, but I wasn't really motivated to play much after 85.

5k is just nothing, I really hope it was just to test, how far players get to determine better rewards.

  • Nah, I am currently using DH with Iron Will and it's quite fun.

Issue is if you buff DH and it is going to become meta perk again, more killers will start to respect it, which is kinda not fun for both sides imo.

It's not really difficult to get at least 1 use of DH, simply because most killers don't respect it unless you make it really obvious.

I don't think you understand how bad this will be to play against. Her playstyle is now "Put Drone at loop, spam rotate, injure, M1" and that's it.

Yeah, I really hate they made rotating of drones mandatory. Thing is she will be terrible, if you won't do it.

the most fun part about playing skull merchant for me was setting up drones in advance and being rewarded with over-time haste effects map wide. that is exact part that they removed from killer and they left the most uninteresting part of her kit.

I am going to be so much more happy when she receives a rework. whenever that is.

  • @GroßusSchmiedus said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/428818/skull-merchant-fast-vault-question

Yes but the SM can also counter it by rotating it back, meaning if you try to fast vault again you might even vault back into her. Its some nice back and forth in theory.

We will have to wait and see, but my guess its once of those counterplays that will never get utilised and people forget.

Doesn't really work when I just crouch/not move after fast vault, right?
I can just keep waiting next to a pallet (safe pallet) and spam fast vault when she gets nearby. She can only kick the pallet, so basically Clown.

  • Kinda funny they noticed nerfs were too much, so they give her some "buffs", but also new nerfs on top of it…

  • It's good with Spies from the shadows, but it's not that good for most killers.
I use it only on Spirit.

It won't save you from SB, but works well on DH and Iron Will. I still had survivors to use DH on me anyway.

  • I personally liked PTB version more.

but I am just happy rats won't be that annoying now.

  • @GeneralSkien said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3812073#Comment_3812073

Yeah, People are complaining that SM is stronger than ever but that is just plain lies.

Without getting people heated this is still a straight up nerf, but its more on the "Spirit nerfs" than what freddy go, C tier killer

The nerfs are way worse than Spirit got in my opinion.

    • 1 laser
    • drone always active
    • worse haste
    • worse hindered
    • drones won't detect fast vault
    • slowed while using drones/radar

She completely lost any pressure outside of chase, because survivor needs to be blind to get a claw trap and her chase is worse too.

as I have said before, the outcome highly depends if laser tagging is possible or not. If you can't use laser tagging (I think it wasn't possible on PTB), then she is stil terrible.

I wanted to get rid of spamming rotation changes, but they made it mandatory instead.

You're being a bit self oriented, you didn't even realize I was referring to the survivor winning the game.

If you tunnel someone, even if his teammates are on gens 24/7, that person is dead 90% of the time. You're robbing someone specific of any chance of "winning", which is that individual making it out of the trial alive.

Besides, tunneling gives you less chasing because you only have... Let's say 1.5 health states to go through, along with the fact that you have to be within a certain proximity to the hook to make it in time.

On the other hand, equipping an information perk to go after another survivor will result in quicker chases that are also higher quality.

So please, stop making excuses because the only way you can win is through a strategy that's sucking the fun out of it from others.

You're being a bit self oriented, you didn't even realize I was referring to the survivor winning the game.

Well, I don't care about it exactly because I am not self oriented. I couldn't care less if I escape or not. I just want to get 3 out as SWF, or at least 1 survivor to escape as soloQ.

This is team game (at least survivor side), if you want win to be specific to single player, then go play killer. It's expected in most game some survivors will die.

On the other hand, equipping an information perk to go after another survivor will result in quicker chases that are also higher quality.

Higher quality is always the survivor closer to being dead… Information perk won't result in quicker chase than chasing injured survivor, it will only get you into chase faster (depends on the perk).

So please, stop making excuses because the only way you can win is through a strategy that's sucking the fun out of it from others.

Lol, I have never said I am tunneling in my games, but nice try.

I just disagree with your claims.

  • This highly depends if laser tagging is going to be possible, or not.

If she can laser tag to get the haste with good timing, then she is going to be way worse, but not completely useless.
If laser won't start in front of her (I think that was the case on PTB, not sure), then changes do absolutely nothing and still Z tier.

Fact that laser won't work on fast vault seems also questionable to me. If you predrop a pallet, there is kinda nothing for her to do other than destroying it.

  • @GroßusSchmiedus said:

The big problem is that SM now gets haste from dropping drones too, which encourages the playstyle of just dropping them mindlessly on loops to get the haste.

She gets haste only if survivor gets detected 5 seconds after deploying or rotating drone, no?

I really don't think I need to point out how much you know the fallacies in your argument. Don't argue just for the sake of arguing please.

I'm just going to do the first one for good measure, you can do the rest by following the formula:

You're robbing the person being tunneled of:

    • The chance to win
    • Any interaction past chases (ie. hiding, healing, repairing, saving, rescuing, choosing where to take chase)

This is like downing someone when a gate is open with old DS when it didn't cancel during endgame.

Sure, you're chasing. Sure, you're mind gaming. Sure, you down the survivor. Now what? They escape anyway.

Unless you are magically happy with your only interaction in game having been delaying the inevitable, you're not making a lot of sense here.

I really don't think I need to point out how much you know the fallacies in your argument

    You are one to talk…

    The chance to win

Not really, it's not like tunneling is guaranteed way to win. It's not like survivors have nothing to do against it.

Unless you are magically happy with your only interaction in game having been delaying the inevitable, you're not making a lot of sense here.

Nothing magical here. Chase is main interaction between survivor and killer. I like to chase, tunneling is giving me chase most of the games.

I am usually not annoyed by the killer when I get tunneled, more like by my teammates who gave him the free option and simply don't know what to do against it.

    Base regression shouldn't change.

    The perks themselves? Absolutely.

Call of Brine, Overcharge and Hex: Ruin should all have the 200% regression speed. Ofc, to not repeat the Overbrine meta, both of them should have a condition that the regression speed cannot exceed 200%.

Even if they were in the version of overbrine meta, I don't think it would be an issue.
It's not really possible with 3-gen feature.

  • Yeah, I am not planning to play anything else in 2v8. Maybe Spirit…

Especially when I will get slowed and annoyed with picking up survivors, there is no way anyone can get me to play Trapper, or Wraith there.

We will see how much their feature will help against slugging. So far their changes give me reasons to do it instead.

Well, they wanted to make mode more fun for survivors and less for killers. This definetly does the job.

Genrush doesn't prevent you from playing for chunks of the game. A Killer still has the ability to play the game without being stuck on a hook, unlike a Survivor.

And yes, hyper sweaty 4-man gen focused builds exist, but obviously most people don't refer to that when they say "genrush".

As for opportunistic tunneling, it's fine. If someone is off the hook and I have no one else to chase, that's just fate at that point. But actively choosing to hook the same person consecutively even when presented with alternatives is simply toxic behavior until all other options are exhausted.

Genrush doesn't prevent you from playing for chunks of the game.

With that logic neither does tunneling. You will get to have a chase for majority of the game even if you are being tunneled. All other survivors get to play the game too.

A Killer still has the ability to play the game without being stuck on a hook, unlike a Survivor.

Because of tunneling, survivor won't experience end game (if killer manages).
Because of genrush, killer won't get to experience early game (most of it at least)

if being on hook is your issue, then you are playing wrong game. That's kinda core mechanic. Staying on hook is counterplay against tunneling anyway, so this sounds more as camping for a change.

hyper sweaty 4-man gen focused builds exist, but obviously most people don't refer to that when they say "genrush".

I would say most people take "genrush" as survivors using perks/items for faster gen speed. I don't know what you have under the term…

But actively choosing to hook the same person consecutively even when presented with alternatives is simply toxic behavior until all other options are exhausted.

What is toxic about it? It's logical.
If I have survivor on dead hook and survivor who wasn't hooked yet, I don't have any reason to go after the second survivor (unless I use perks for it).
It's definetly understandable to do so, if there is like 1/2 gens left. You simply need to kill a survivor to win at that point.
Even if someone does it at 5 gens, that's not toxic in my opinion (clearly even more overused term).

  • There is no such thing as genrush, guys.

It does, but the term is simply overused exactly same as tunneling, camping and slugging.

Unlike tunneling, which directly tampers with someone else's gameplay quality, genrush is simply just the main objective of Survivors.

    Killing survivor is killer's objective.

Actual gen rushing definetly tampers with killer's gameplay, because game is simply way faster than usual.

Tunneling is a problem in on itself

Tunneling in general? Not really, most killers are simply opportunistic, which is fine and should be a thing. 8 hook every game is unrealistic for most killers.
Tunneling since first hook (going into the game with a plan to tunnel) is exactly same issue as actual tunneling. But I would say both are quite rare…

  • 400% bonus for killers would make me willing to suffer…

Well, I will play Blight, so should be fine. I expect way more slugging tho.

There was no incentive to slug in 2v8 because there were no pallets and flashlights, but it still happened and happened frequently enough that they are making changes to address it now. They did not have any legitmate reasons to slug in 2v8 but many killers showed that they don't need a legitmate reason to do it, if they can they will because it was easier and some people have fun doing it. I understand your worry that because they have to counter flashlights and pallets they may slug more, but if they slugged without those things, then what is the solution?

I didn't watch it, what are they going to do against slugging? So far I have seen only reasons to do it.

because need to pick up, is very good reason to always slug. I rarely did it in past 2v8, but I might with changes I have seen mentioned.

Slugging seem as way to go. No faster gens, no pallet/flashlight saves

  • Well, but noone should act like everything improved for killers, when it's not true.

Current slowdown perks are very weak compare to past. Even with all those "buffs" that were mentioned, gen times are same or faster than used to be.

what exactly is the point of all the other perks if we are just supposed to run anti tunnel perks every game

You know I can say exactly same thing for killers, right?

You don't need to run neither anti-tunneling perks on survivors, or slowdown perks on killers. But don't complain when you lose the game, when you don't try to win.

  • I have feeling, it's better to use forum for feedback only.
Not suggestions, if you suggest something, you make sure it won't happen, because devs don't want to "copy" (kinda understandable, but annoying for players).

Like really, was there ever a specific feature that was created based on forum post?
Have you seen even 1 post exactly asking for changes done in past years?

Didn't killers got buff to gen kicking

    • reducing time to kick gens,
    • inflicting insta -5%
    • and disabling gen-tapping mid chase?

Are we just ignoring that and demanding more? 🤨

    It wasn't without a price.

I would rather have old regression perks and no 3-gen feature.

  • Probably not, it would be slightly easier to let survivors die to timer, but it would be still so difficult to get. It simply doesn't work when survivors expect it.

They should add at least 10 seconds, so it is same as hook stage timer. I don't think it would be suddenly broken, if you give more.

  • I think it would be better if survivors learned how to play against tunneling killers.
When I get tunneled, because teammate unhooked me 5 seconds after I got hooked and killer is still nearby, I am going to blame that survivor, not the killer.

Just use anti tunneling perks. DS, OTR if you have an issue, or Babysitter (it's very good now) for others.
If killer is tunneling, don't unhook early (just don't do it overall). Survivor is untouchable for the killer on hook, while you can work on gens. Unhook in last seconds, or when you know killer is in chase far from hook.
