  • I mean, they tried for sure. I would say the mode is quite survivor sided and it is kinda expected for many to escape.

But killers are still more fun. You have basically constant chase and it is still something new.

Not really true for survivors, I would say average chase will be worse than 1v4, you have often games where your total chase is either none, or 10-20 seconds. I had many games where only thing I did was work on gen, or heal, then escape.

  • What could make Survivors play the gamemode more?

You would have to go way futher, where it becomes kinda unplayable for most killers. Give survivors extra items (smoke bombs, flashbangs etc.)

Basically make it a bully fest.

It's already quite easy and we escape in most of our games. Just give me 400% BP, so I can farm better.

Even when it's expected for survivors to escape. Killers are more fun, you basically have nonstop chases. I would say surivvors have less chase time compare to 1v4.

      2. <3
      3. fr? so why basically all the time I play this it was only 2😭? Its not a joke?
      4. HOW. Is it working only in some speific moments?

personally i didn't notice any dif

You don't have many hours in DBD, do you? There are completely new structures on some of those maps. For example Saloon is changed a lot with many extra loops and pallets.

Not really hard to see a difference, if you know maps.

  • Yeah, noone can get me to play M1 killer there.

We were playing mostly Blight with Spirit and that was fine…

  • @TragicSolitude said:

Out of curiosity, are you a survivor who wants the bonus BP or a killer who's tired of the long queue times? (I have no strong opinion either way, I'm simply curious which side you're approaching this from.)

I definetly want more BP to have an ultimate farming simulator. At least something when normal BP incentives are broken…
I don't care much about long queue times on killers, because I can watch something on second monitor :D

Maybe try to think of players who aren´t as good as you.

I also met some nasty combos of very fast killers who had great double tapping and cage rushing - that is not very fun.

Then I can say killers are miserable, because there are worse killers than me? DBD in general is miserable, if you are bad enough.
    Not really a good argument…

  • We need the shirtless Myers!

  • If this was the current issue of DBD, then seems like we are good for now.
Just learn how to delay on every pallet and window, where you force him uncloak. Not really difficult to play against him.

It does kinda seem like the balance of players has been consistent a lot lately…

I have noticed that the survivor queue is at 150% first thing in the morning, but otherwise it's bounced around from 0-50% most of the time for survivor.

but it clearly is not balanced. Even when one side has way higher queue times, there is little to no bonus.

  • So right now I have a bonus. 25% on survivors, which didn't seem right to me, so I did some testing.

My queue times on killers: 18-25 seconds (tried 5 times)
My queue time when I tried survivor (soloQ): 3 minutes 18 seconds

Like really, this is clearly not working, how have you managed to break this devs?

    Bez názvu.png
  • Fix shouldn't be buff for survivors, that doesn't really make sense.

Just let survivors die faster / give up under some conditions.

  • bring % back to 25 and I wouldn't mind

  • @tjt85 said:

My experiences are similar. I get 25% or 50% on Survivor most of the time and I've not seen a 100% bonus (or any bonus) on Killer for quite a while. I'm missing it because Legion is how I do all my farming for BP :(

I guess this means the queues are relatively balanced right now, with lots of new players from the Halloween period?

I guess this means the queues are relatively balanced right now

Thing is they are not. If you try to queue on both sides, there is still usually big difference even when noone has bonus. Who it is depends on time as usual.

  • Well, depends on the situation, but leaving survivor as long as possible on hook is often correct play. Especially when you expect killer to tunnel.

If you see they try to suicide, of course you try to stop it asap.

  • @Triplehoo said:

I've been having 25-75% incentives all day for survivors. European servers

I wonder why is it happening. I am on European servers too and haven't seen 100% BP for weeks.

25-75% is still less than should be tho. Before kinda standard was 100% for survivors during day, then 100% for killers during evening.

  • Finally someone has it too, so I am not the only one… It's very annoying for me. I am used to playing whoever has 100% bonus and I am not really motivated to play when there so no bonus on either side.

The only way to counter, huh… guess you've never heard about lightborn? Shadowborn? Hex: two can play? There's a bunch of anti healing perks and addons out there too.

If you're going to say the "counter" survivors have is to "not bring 4 items", then I say an even better counter is to quit the game and not even play.

Are you really trying to pass Shadoborn and Hex: two can play as counter to flashlights? Those perks are garbage.

If you're going to say the "counter" survivors have is to "not bring 4 items"

or just don't bring item you will care about it. I simply play with brown medkits, if it makes killer waste a perk slot, that's good trade for me.

  • Doesn't really work in 4v1 and no matter how you implement it, game is going to be worse overall in my opinion.

Simply when maps would be voted, game will always be worse for either side, because noone is going to vote for balanced map…

  • In most of my matches the killer tunnels one survivor and then camps 3 gens that are very close to each other which makes repairing them almost impossible.

Oh my, wanna stream? Sounds fun

  • If everyone else is dead, I will rather give hatch unless survivors annoyed me and if someone is still on hook, I don't want to waste everyone's time just to wait for mori.

  • I am all for letting console flick too, which could be done simply by increasing sensitivity, but you said:

He should be more friendly to play as on Console for sure

while increasing overall sensitivity is not going to do that, no? Quite the opposite.

  • @MechWarrior3 said:

I love Oni for Console but yeah. He should be more friendly to play as on Console for sure. 180 flick is neat and all but for us console users its not fun. lol

Can you explain this to me?

I fail to see how something you can't do is not fun for you. WIll it become fun when noone can do it?

I would be fine if they basically give console option to increase sensitivity so they can do something close to it 180. I will be highly annoyed if they remove it.

  • I like current version a lot and don't really have an issue playing against it…

  • I kinda like it on Oni.

It's definetly not meta, but it's not terrible as it used to be.

bloodlust take 15 to 35 sec ( t1 to t3 ) in chase, average chase is 1 min.

So no, most chase doesn't end before bloodlust.

    except that...you forgot one thing

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BZU3RYSV1Q42/stats-july-2024-v0-qvsfo2pcaadd1.png

average survivor chase time PER MATCH. Meaning average chase lasts...20s.

BL 1 is reached in 56% of marches, BL2 only in 14% and BL3 in brutally low 3% of matches.

That's not really how it works, because those 20 seconds are highly reduced by trading for hooked survivor etc.
I would like to see an average first chase survivors have.

  • @radiantHero23 said:

Windows is not only a training wheels - perk. It also helps survivors in soloq to not run into dead zones, created by other survivors.

Sure, there are people that use it to just "run to yellow", but there are also a ton of people that genuinely use it to balance out an information-gap between soloq and swf.

there are people that use it to just "run to yellow"

I mean, kinda everyone is going to play this way with WoO. It's not like you will run into deazone on purpose in most situations.

I don't think WoO needs a nerf, but I would like a good blindness perk.

  • But, if they made something like this, then I wouldn't mind that much some feature to let survivors fight against slugging for 4k with basekit unbreakables for example (only when there are two survivors left).

  • Issue is how it affects each killer. Like I will gladly go for this as Oni, Blight etc. because I know odds are in my favor.

But if I really need 4k for adept/challenge, then I still would rather play it safe to secure 4k with most M1 killers, especially if last survivor is not injured. so rather than secure 4k with slug, you just need to make sure last survivor is injured.

Well, unless I need 4k for something, or survivors annoyed me, then I just go afk and let survivor find hatch on their own.

The finisher mori can definitely change the outcome of the game for survivors, just not much for killers. Wiggling free can be the difference between death and hatch. You and I appear to agree that the small chance to wiggle free is being taken from survivors as a result of the finisher mori :D

Given that, it's definitely not just cosmetic. There is a functional effect of the finisher mori on the game and on the experience of the players.

I did read OP's ideas, and I agree that they're overkill if we're just trying to address the functional loss survivors experience as a result of the finisher mori. But there is an issue with how the finisher mori rewards getting a 4k regardless of the methods used to get it. I don't think the ideas presented here (e.g. self-repairing gens) are necessarily the way to deal with it, but I do think playstyles that disregard other players' experiences (tunneling, proxy camping, slugging for 4k, bully squads) should be discouraged by in-game effects.

On a different note, I'm curious why you call my reasoning petty. :D

You and I appear to agree that the small chance to wiggle free is being taken from survivors as a result of the finisher mori

It's so small chance that in my 2k hours it never happened. If killer can't hook you, they can just drop and bleed you out, or look for it.

There is a functional effect of the finisher mori on the game and on the experience of the players.

Cosmetic things change experience of the players. It doesn't change balance in any way, it's just for show.

I'm curious why you call my reasoning petty

"Killers got something I don't like, so what could we do to them, which they won't like too."

Mori is irrelevant and noone asked for it. So it would be very pathetic, if there is a negative feature for killers, because of something so pointless.

  • I don't think strength of perks is the issue, except few.

Just fix totem spawns. They are so bad it's not even funny.

  • Knight, Wesker, Nurse, Blight etc?

Basically any killer with good setup.

but I would definetly reduce the effectivness of 3-gen feature. Just make it work only for actual kicks, you can't really stall the game that long without kicking gens.

Functionally speaking, you're partly right. But moris do take away a small set of survivor abilities; they prevent any chance of wiggling free or using certain perks to break free from what would otherwise be getting carried to a final hook. So I think survivors are actually losing something in this deal.

Practically speaking, I think it's clear OP is trying to suggest ways to discourage the behavior the finisher mori appears to be encouraging. But I think you're right that survivors could be given a small new ability to deny some small killer power. Like maybe the last survivor gets a small advantage in chase for a moment. Or maybe like a single instance of sprint burst to cover more ground at the beginning of the hatch race. It would usually make no difference, but could on very rare occasions.

Realistically, I think that instead of any of this, the finisher mori should be denied to the killer if they slug for 4k. That would be something that discourages negative playstyles, and I think the DBD community needs some incentives like that.

But moris do take away a small set of survivor abilities

Sure, but it's not like iri mori become basekit. It works only when there is last survivor left and on ground.

Even if you are in unhookable spot, where you are 100% sure to wiggle out. I don't think getting bleed out is so much better option.

Yellow mori can never change the overall outcome of the game.

So I think survivors are actually losing something in this deal.

That would be true only with iri/purple mori, so you can skip DS when it matters. Yellow is simply irrelevant in most cases.

it's clear OP is trying to suggest ways to discourage the behavior the finisher mori appears to be encouraging

He is trying to massively buff survivors as "trade off" for basically cosmetic feature. Have you actually read his ideas? Self repairing gens, lol. Rats would love this with Plot twist.

But I think you're right that survivors could be given a small new ability to deny some small killer power.

Why? It's pointless feature, with petty reasoning in my opinion.

I think the DBD community needs some incentives like that

That's not an incentive, that's punishment. It's not like I care about mori anyway, I have used it once since it went live.

I just find it hilarious people try to "balance" yellow mori. It's just an excuse to ask for buffs.

There's a good chance you're helping those survivors get the achievement as last survivor finish the last gen and escape through the exit gate.

Yeah, I am usually just amazed by their audacity (in a good sense), so I let them do it. Luckily I have two monitors, so I just watch something on other monitor.

I especially respect those who bring their item in front of me and drop it even tho I am "afk".

  • You really have an interesting view on "balance".

Killer mori can be balanced with extra emote for survivors. That would be around the same.

  • I usually just stop playing unless I see a survivor when there is one survivor left. Playing for gate/hatch is just extra stress/work and I can't be bothered.

Funny with this approach is when survivors is waiting on exit gate for me to close a hatch and I had few survivors who noticed it and just finished all remaining gens.

If we can't have 150% WGLF then it's time for basekit Unbreakable. Powertripping killers are out of control.

  • @OrangeBear said:

Because it was punishing killers that left a survivor in the dying state for 6 seconds. In combination with MFT, it was ftp buckle up over again.

Well, it still works with FTP…

Wouldn't just increased CD do the trick? I would be fine with 45 seconds, or even 60.

  • I would definetly rather give a cooldown on changing directions than just removing scan line.
Or make it impossible to do it in chase, so you need to decide in advance how drone is going to rotate, that will let survivor actually crouch against it, because Skully can't just change direction instantly.

  • Well, that's annoying. I loved to use it lately along Babysitter…

  • I would just want good blidness perk (RIP UW) to counter it. It's funny how many survivors are just lost without it.

I have personally stopped using WoO when playing survivors and I enjoy my games so much more, when I can't just play on autopilot.

  • @smurf said:

This seems like a fun idea. It would feel kind of weird having the hatch just move because the killer says so, but I think something like this would fit the way a lot of people treat the endgame :D

Issue is for most games giving hatch is simply gone, which I don't really like. This would simply give alternative to let survivor go without wasting their time.

  • I know it doesn't fit the theme, but I wish instead of just mori last survivor, there would be an option to kill, or give hatch (instantly).

    Something like M1 = Kill, M2 = Hatch

It doesn't really make sense lore wise, but I would like it in the game.

  • DS, Babysitter, OTR, Bloodrush

Is it so hard to use perk against something you want help against? That's what they are for.

This just seems like killer complaining gens are finished too fast, while using no slowdown perk.

  • What exactly is basekit mori supposed to do for the killer? It doesn't change anything.
If you want to "trade", then maybe try something killers actually want.

  • Modern problem requires old solutions. Just do what we did when BBQ had extra BP and almost every killer used it.

    • hide in locker
    • hide behind generator
  • I would rather just shift all prestige down by 1 and simply tier 1 perks are unlocked as soon your purchase a character. So you don't need to waste BP on someone you don't even want to play.

  • Sure, but reduce hook stage duration to 50 seconds, so survivors need to save sooner.

Also give loud noice notification with unhooking, otherwise you are kinda killing macro sense for killers. Killer should go there anyway, if they are not in chase yet.

Discard loud noise notifications for unhooks. The killer will know when someone is unhooked by paying attention to the HUD.

Killer can see it happened, but they can't see where. Even if I don't want to go there asap, information where to find two survivors for next chase is quite important thing to track.

  • I don't think it is that easy to be an issue. Nowhere near FTP + Buckle up combo.

I really enjoy playing WGLF + Babysitter to deal with both slugging and tunneling.

Basically only thing where WGLF was beyond broken is against Twins. I can stay next to chased survivor, crush Victor after he downs a survivor and pick them up faster than Charlotte can get even close. It was very funny, but I wouldn't want to be Twins player against it.

I disagree with you about SB, 90 s isn't short by any means so most of the time I don't even think it makes a difference.

So 90 seconds with a perk, or 70 seconds with an addon? Perk on basically same level of an addon seems bad to me.
