Lol an assumed flag and the words he’s watching and you deduce the new killer is a shape shifting hippo.Sinner said:There was another dev that said something like he can"T talk more about it because "he is watching". Haha so you remember F13 and how that was gonna kill this game.... that didn’t get anywhere near close and look at that game now.

So more likely some sort of tribal witch doctor voodoo killer type character maybe?

People would go back to their current coms, it’s a pointless waste of time and resources. You don't need to add proximity chat. The killer doesn't have to hear the voice chat for it to be balanced. The devs could do other things to balance around voice chat like buffing killer stealth so killers can hide better from groups and adding a secondary objective that's more difficult than generators to slow down the game.
I think the point he's trying to make is that people want the game balance solely around the chance that there is a 4Man on comms. They don't care about the 2/3 mans.

Then yes it’s not bugged or no it is bugged still.

The thing is most survivors already play in SWF squads. From watching the biggest streamers it's clear that the players already have de-facto killed the idea of 4 random survivors unable to communicate outwitting a killer.
The devs need to admit the truth.
not sure that the majority of people are in a SWF squad at all, and I’ve been messaged by killers after a match saying nice SWF, even though I had no idea who these people were and wasn’t communicating with them at all.
Killers wilm call call any random group that plays a certain way a SWF group when in fact it isn’t at all.
Id love to see an option button after a match that asks the killer was this a SWF match or a random match and see what % they actually get right at the end of it, at the moment they guess based on loading and game play and some case FL, but they don’t really know.
Also non of my friends play this game and the friends I’ve made via DBD and played SWF with don’t use coms at all during game play, the coms really aren’t the advantage at all. -
Even harder when the bug isn’t easy to replicate and doesn’t seem to have a standard pattern that causes it to happen, recoding and error handling blind is by far the worst case, and from what I’d guess the loading screen bug is probably one of those situations.ToxicFengM1n said:@DuckApproved Let me help you here, every single game has bugs, littered in bugs, some are harder to achieve than others, how bout this, try to be a dev for a day and fix a bug, then come back, it is an extremely hard

Oh sorry I missed the point gaining from completing activated generator/totems I guess if that’s for points it doesn’t even need a bonus but could actually give a debuff,
so activated generator/ totems give max points but increase either gen time or skill checks of the gen activated.
But if a gen is finished they can’t activate that totem and won’t get the points from it, so it forces the option of leave your points and get out or risk your time to get out with points.
I like the idea of a secondary task that has a risk reward.
Killer side needs a bit of work, as relying on people remaining on hooks to complete a secondary objective I feel is a bit unfair when they have to apply the pressure along with it, maybe have it on a timer like PGTW and make the activated totems visible while timer is going?
some good ideas though -
Some
good ideas, the time to activate a totem doesn’t seem worth it for potential increase.
Also when a skulls been used to activate the totem is it lost, or can you still escape with it for the points? -

If it has nothing to do with my experience why did you quote it over and over as if to make a point?AlwaysInAGoodShape said:I haven’t noticed it some people’s experience is not a universal experience, maybe I’ve been lucky with who I’ve been matched with, this forum is not and never has been the majority of players, and the opinions of people here are not necessarily ones I agree with and their experience is theirs but it doesn’t mean I’ve felt the same, I say the same about Libby dodging, I don’t experience that much either, but I play 90% solo, I hardly ever get campers I don’t feel like I’m waiting ages for a lobby either.
Just because you (not surprisingly) chose to think your experience must also be mine and if it’s not mine it must be a lie, just shows what type of person you are.
It has nothing to do with your experience.
It's a fact that in this event, taking scoring event points and optimising them as your win-condition, it is the META strategy to no longer save your teammates once the exit gates are open/when the last gen can be finished before them dying/when multiple people are dead and it's possible to get the hatch.People who didn't experience this simply didn't play to optimise the maximum amount of event points they could and thus simply didn't play towards the event win-condition.
It has nothing to do with experience: it has everything to do with whether you play the event or the degree to which you ignore it.
So now we’ve moved to end game saving to optimise point scoring.
okay I’ll play:
Same will happen in your event too because their escape is irrelevant at this point.
if their hooked and have the item and won’t drop it, to promote a save, or just to be a troll.
they will be camped.
If they drop it, saving them is second priority to finding the item in the 5 possible places it can be.
If they didn’t have it they are second priority to getting the item out and they loose nothing yet being left, and I’ll gain nothing from attempting the save event wise.
Anyone who doesn’t play this way wouldn’t be playing to optimise maximum event points!
See how easy it is to apply to your event.
Same situation only now you get the points.
I didn’t experience the lack of saving because of this event so I must not have played to optimise my event points or play to the win condition, I achieved the event quota though, so really it’s still irrelevant.

All your teachables and regular perks just keep spawning in the web until you have them all so if you don’t get the teachable it just stops it appearing in other characters webs, but it will keep showing in yours randomly though so might not get them in the same web, and if you do you’ll only be able to get one and the entity will take the other if they are in the same web, so you’ll have to get it when it pops up again.Ryuzaki said:Hi people of the fog.

(with again my premise points being the reason why it happens, to which you agreed because you randomly filled out the premise but for the moonrise event and said: "see the similarities?"... because you saw them... Correctly.)
Just because you (not surprisingly) chose to think your experience must also be mine and if it’s not mine it must be a lie, just shows what type of person you are. -

And the third was was about actually geting to experience the only the only thing in the event for survivors, that stops it being the same game outside the event. Nothing to do with stealing points, but getting the item!
Stop already your not good at this at all. -
Again never said that at all anywhere.-Your own life is all that matters. You losing your life completely cancels out your reward.

Oh you are comical and I’ve already told you that trying to mislead and misrepresenting quotes won’t work with me:

2: The second point is clearly referring to the current event, again you’ve misrepresented, it to look like I’m referring to your made up event, but it’s clear from the wording what we are both refring too.
as your comments in bold are referring to the current event and my replay is also about the current event. So yes please explain how that wrong!
3: I stated no such thing your misunderstanding or attempt to mislead forced you to argue non existent content.

Nope can’t see a single word in my comment that mentions stealing event points... seems like you have a habit of incorrectly reading between the lines and adding words and sentences that don’t exist.AlwaysInAGoodShape said:I was merely pointing out all the things people complain about are easy to still achieve in your current laid out event.
Let's put that to a test then. People complained about their Vessel being stolen and people heading off, resulting in them not getting event points.
Let's start here. How in this event would you steal and run off with the points of your teammates?
I was merely pointing out all the things people complain about are easy to still achieve in your current laid out event.
This is your comment:
Rarely contested: The dynamics of the event shouldn't incentivise players to not rescue. Because players lost their vessel when hooked, there was little incentive to rescue them if you could already steal their vessel» If for example only vessels were lost when being unhooked, then such incentive wouldn't have been lost. We want a system that thus promotes rescuing etc.
And then think a good promotion to save someone is to be tunnelled by the killer after saving so they can destroy this bluewaffle, it’s like a baton race, and the waffle gets better for each dead survivor, seems counter intuitive to me.
leave survivor to die, waffle increases in usefulness and killer has to find you after you e picked it up instead of getting save notification. You made the ridiculous accusation that you can steal event points in this event, while literally everyone has their points rewarded based on the same condition.
That is not showing that you can "easily achieve all this in the current event". It is just a flat out wrong statement. You are saying that a football team member can steal the win from their own teammate. No: No they cannot.
You’ve quoted me and my words and then added your own spin and then argued against your own spin!
-
haha your games of avoidance and misleading doesn’t work balance is part and parcel of the subjective fun.
Also it’s several of your key ‘fix’ points.
youve tried to make out that this is way better then any event that’s ever existed, and that it would be the key to avoiding the things People don’t like.
I was merely pointing out all the things people complain about are easy to still achieve and will be done in your current laid out event. Which makes it just as bad as the ones before it.
Maybe if you stepped off the pedestal you’ve put yourself on and avoid your condescending attitude, your topics wouldn’t end up like this.
-
ugh give it up the more you try to make out it’s a flawless balanced idea the worse it gets.
I’ve given plenty or game play tactics that will occur though you ignore those to just keep driving home that this is somehow a totally untuchable unflawed idea, even when plenty of flaws and abuse systems are obvious.
I get what your attempting but you’ve missed the mark, some of the ideas are good, but as a whole event it’s not well designed or balanced.

Me too only so they can implement it and I can watch all the threads on how balanced this is as an event haha.
like I said some good ideas but not having the ability to create your own points based on your contribution and longevity, takes away risk reward play style, giving survivors IMO nothing but a bit of extra end game and a set up that promotes SWF coordination that solo players don’t have just doesn’t sound like fun to me, killers already dodge SWF enough without having an event that promotes the worst behaviour of a Toxic SWF match, which will lead to lobby dodging and typical day to day BS of DBD event life.
Spoiler alert: SWF was superior in all the events or the event introduced game-throwing.
Solo's will do great without SWF's in this event too. They literally have an item with which they can solo a killer. (as power distribution changes upon survivor death.)

-Your own life is all that matters. You losing your life completely cancels out your reward.
Only if you have a vessel you still get all your points for your participation up to death.
-The event points are scarce; you compete among teammates over event points.
Again only for vessel, which you can claim if the survivor with one messes up and gets hooked.
-Under the condition of resources being scarce: If such points can be stolen from someone without having to unhook them, then there's less reason to do so.
you have only 1 resource of use that stops this being a typical game day for a survivor, of the hooked person drops it you don’t need to unhook to steal it. If they don’t drop it wait for them to die and steal it.
how do you not see the clear comparison in this?
Even more so that you can’t escape via hatch so you’d need to apply more focus on gens to even get a chance of your points, saving detracts focus from this by a minimum of 50%.
If I was the killer I would certainly be wanting their numbers down fast, tunnel and slug, now your on the floor and stuck with the item and I just have to keep the pressure on a single person to get my points and stop the survivors who cares about the gens at this point, that’s a side objective for me in this event. -

I think he means only all survivors who manage to escape will recive an event point.se05239 said:@AlwaysInAGoodShape said:
The event is simple, really: There is 1 special item in the game. If the survivors manage to escape with it, all survivors get an event point. If no more survivors remain in the map (either dead/escaped) but the item still remains in the map/is destroyed, the killer will get an even point. So if a survivor dies early and decide to not watch the entire game for 10-20 minutes more.. they'd lose event points if the other three survivors ended up escaping?
You do realize that we live in an age where people have the attention span of a puppy, right? Forcing people to spectate in order to make sure that they'd get any potential event points seems like a really bad design choice, if you ask me.
Edit:
Never mind what I wrote above, I just read the thing again and found this:Leaving the match
Since the moment when you leave it isn't sure whether someone will escape with the Waffe or not, your points will be awarded automatically in the menu, and you will see a special notification when a change has been made.
This means that if you die and leave the match you'll still get your points if someone makes it out with the item. There is no need to spectate.

“You came up with a false premise.”
The premise of my arguments is not false
“You got the unhooking incentive wrong.”
What incentive? Apart from normal game play, I didn’t mention the incentive as I don’t see one above normal game play!
“You avoided answering the correct premise gave you.”
I avoided nothing I said I would give the examples when I wasn’t on a mobile
“Instead you went on about how 3 Dc's dont give you points”
It wasn’t 3 DCs is was point 3 which is clear by the point 1 and 2 that preceded it!
“how people with the waffe wont do gens while this event promotes gen rushing”
Gen rushing doesn’t mean all survivors doing gens, and I said gen rush meta not gen rushing!
Your rules state no hatch escape with the only thing that gives points which means all gens need to be done, no one is going to be rushing for saves when they have to get all 5 done just to get any event points.
“You started randomly check-listen false issues.”
Again not false at all
“Perhaps when thinking someone with the waffe wouldn't do gens, you could've asked yourself; why did they pick it up in the first place?”
Eer because apparently if you save someone who had it and hasn’t dropped it you now have it, your rules not mine, see now this is where it gets difficult, because you’ve implemented a reason not to save via your own comment, because searching for it is not the same as being lumbered with it, so now in your haste to keep hammering home your point your arguing the one I made.
This would end up a SWF wet dream and a killers nightmare -
I already did, there are literally so many ways this will generate everything I’ve said and if you can’t think of those situations, that is gap in your knowledge of this community and the mechanics of your own idea.AlwaysInAGoodShape said:

So you honestly think that the person holding this waffle while flashing away with blue sparks and buzzing like a bumble bee, who is now accountable for everyone’s points is going to be doing any saving or gens and risking the inevitable tunnel that willl come if spotted by the killer?
Then you need all other 3 to be doing gens while you try stay hidden. If someone’s hooked who’s gonna risk the save when all 5 gens need doing for the escape to happen for anyone to get any points?
Its an extremely flawed idea and will promote the things that all killers and survivors hate.
Tunneling check
Camping Check
Gen rush meta check
Hook sabo check
DCing when points are no longer in play check
Troll ability check
Killers more difficult to get full BP bonus check
surviours can prevent killer progress without skill check
I’m telling you everything that happens with these events will be repeated in your idea.
