He's just moving a bit. Should have been around for the true Face Camp days. Back then, Killers could stand in one spot and block the hook prompt like Survivors can to body block. They changed it cause it was an "exploit" to for killers to use their collision / hit box to block the unhook prompt. However survivors using their collision / hit box to prevent a hook is "perfectly fine."

I always felt that was bias as hell toward Survivors. If using your collision / hit box is an "exploit", then that applies for both sides, not just one side.

One forces a survivor to not play the entire game (which tbf you can still do) and the other is countered by dropping then downing the body blocker. 2 people not doing gens benefitting the killer. Not really in the same ball park.

  • You can’t really KNOW where it spawns unless you have that add on. Unless you know the position of every survivor you just need to rely on luck. From what I’ve experienced it spawns near loops/pallets/windows based on the survivors positing of course. You can sort of try to triangulate where it is but it’s mostly just dumb luck from my experience at least.

It’s not supposed to be found by the killer tbh, it’s just there as a little reward if you do. Its honestly better to pressure some gens and get downs than to go find it, especially since Pinhead doesn’t have much pressure and his chains can be easily avoided if the survivors know what they’re doing.

  • I mean Sprint Burst and COH are still the best perks by far. The other 2 can be hook or anti tunnel related. Gives more flexibility instead of running the same exact thing.

Thats the point of DBD. You're not supposed to stay up and last "forever" Against any killer...Let alone nurse. If you can make it 30 ish seconds and 2-4 missed blinks. Thats a good chase, and how most chases should be. I dont see why it's so hard to accept getting hit by nurse and the nurse making a good read. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO EVENTUALLY GO DOWN.

Oh let me rephrase that. You’re not lasting more than 20 seconds in chase against a nurse unless you’re already half way across the map and have 30 different instructions blocking her view. Literally the strongest thing in the game

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3117851#Comment_3117851

What exactly do you THINK nurse counterplay is....? Breaking LOS and forcing them to make choices. If you're going for pallets and windows. You're doing it wrong.

I go against decent nurses often enough. This is coming from both a place of me playing against nurse. And being a cracked nurse myself. I know what works against me. What to look for and how to play.

Yes I’m going for pallets and windows. That’s what “she can blink through pallets and windows making them useless 90% of the time” means and implies.

REALLY? BREAK LOS? If only I thought of that and mentioned it in literally all of my comments. Nooo way, I am now enlightened by your wisdom. I’m never going to be the same again.

Nothing works against Nurse except breaking LOS. Which you can’t do for very long if she has RANGED add ons now can you? If it’s a good Nurse you’re going to lose. You can’t break LOS forever and if she’s actually GOOD she won’t let break LOS for more than 3 seconds.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

If you don't think you can use the enviroment against nurse. Then that's your problem right there.

She can blink through pallets and windows making them useless 90% of the time. Like I said you can use it to lose LOS but that’s it lol. You must not go against very good nurses.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3117538#Comment_3117538

The environment is more important for nurse then it is blight. The environment is your weapon against nurse. With blight. The enviroment is his weapon against you

Not it’s not lol. You can only use the environment against Nurse to lose LOS which does not matter with ranged add ons

  • What’s the incentive to not DC? You have fast Q times and it’s only a 5 minute ban. Oh no I can’t play DBD for 5 minutes!! The horror. Even if you increase the DC penalty people would just go afk or suicide themselves on hook. Kindda what BHVR gets for nerfing an already

Theres no real incentive to play survivor anyway. You get less BP then killer even when SoloQ is the weakest role. Gg go next, some people just don’t want to play a match that’s more unfun than most DBD matches as survivor already are. They’re ruining the game for the rest of the players but odds are they were gonna be trash anyway.

  • @FrostyEyesSusie said:

As soon as you get at room temperature MMR survivors will have more than two braincells to rub together and learn all it takes is for them to split up and make Legion a M1 killer. And with more than two braincells to rub together they can easily exploit the safe loops and bad map designs that makes any M1 killer chase a 2 mins affair.

The problem there is that most people play SoloQ. And most SoloQ players are the dumbest, most suicidal players I’ve ver seen in any game. They won’t have brain cells when you’re SoloQ but when you’re killer you suddenly get comp players.

Man with machete** would like a word with you.

** "Man with machete" means playing trapper but not using traps, which was often played by Admiral Bahroo for the memes and actually earned him a regular 4k even on higher ranks.

Ranks mean nothing lol. You could play blindfolded and because SoloQ players are so bad you’ll still get a 4K.

That’s not true at all. And you missed the entire point, being that nurse does not have the option to be an m1 killer. A nurse HAS to blink to get hits. She is the only killer like that.

At the trade off that nothing can stop her from getting downs/kills when mastered.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3117471#Comment_3117471

Pallets and windows don't do all that much against him really. He may actually be stronger then nurse at this point.

Yes they do. If you time it right you can stun him mid rush. Billy it’s gonna take a bit for him to rev his saw to try and curve around it and even then you can stun him. Even if you don’t they still have to break it giving you some time. Nurse completely ignores it. If yes REALLY good you physically cannot do anything. Even if you break LOS.

Bloght with Alchemist Ring arguably could be stronger than Nurse but then you add the range add ons and nope. You still have to bump into things, and still rely on your environment. To Nurse, what is the environment? He could arguably be harder but honestly not stronger.

  • @RatbasterdJr said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3117471#Comment_3117471

Blight is also difficult to learn his power, the difference is he doesn’t NEED his power to get a down / kill. Neither does billy.

You’re playing an M1 killer if you don’t use your power? Every killer NEEDS their power to get a down unless they’re going against survivors than just don’t know how to drop pallets and vault windows. Even the most basic M1 killers still have a power they NEED to rely on.

Could you theoretically get down/kill? Yes but good luck. You’ll drop so low in MMR that you’ll get survivors practically hooking thrmscles.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/339558/is-nurse-one-of-if-not-the-easiest-killer-in-the-game

Nurse is the hardest killer in the game to learn. She's just a different ball game. Comparing her to other killer's is like comparing apples to oranges.

Uh what about Billy? Honestly Blight could be harder arguably since you still have to actually play the game. Pallets and windows still work on you if they time it correctly.

  • If they’re competent you’re losing since you’re playing Wraith lol.

Artist's power was so busted on PTB, she deserved nerf. And after "fair nerf" she is still top tier killer.

But ofcourse all about skills. If you are bad, you are just bad. Even Nurse will not make you good.

Not really she sucks. She’ll 100% get a down but it takes her so long to do so against a good survivor that gens are popping. If she places crows leave the loop. She’ll eventually out you in a bad position where even if you do leave the loop she’ll get an M1 hit after she catches up but that’s just anti-loop killers for you.

Its not that I am that "salty that I can't even look at them", its more of a "don't feed the troll" situation. I know that its an impossible fight, but I won't support their toxic ways by giving them what they want. At every point they can just leave and save everyone involved time. If the killer doesn't walk any closer in the first 20s, its pretty save to assume that they won't show up later, but for some survivors the urge to BM is jsut that stronk.

Except you’re not feeding them since you’re getting BP by hitting them and you force them out so they don’t waste your time. It’s a win - win. The only reason people don’t do it is because they’re salty they lost and just want to go to the next game.

Settle down there bud. Gonna have a stroke with all that sarcasm. I'm saying that SWFs are not this big bad the community makes them out to be. Oh no, it's a SWF, they must be a bully squad. They must be out to ruin the killer's game. It can't just be that they want to have fun playing a game together.

Solo Queue sucks, and half of the reason is bad teammates. The other half is a lack of information. If solo queue had access to the same level of information a SWF does, they'd be able to make informed decisions but they wouldn't magically be any better at the game. It's the same deal with a relatively new SWF. Communication isn't going to make up for their lack of experience.

90% is bad teammates. Information is also a key factor but the fact I’m getting teammates that don’t even know how to unhook or which button it is to fix a gen; hell they don’t even know HOW to do a gen is the most annoying part. Just give me a team that isint trying to do a 4K any % speed run as survivor

  • @Kaitsja said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3114063#Comment_3114063

Information is the only thing that makes SWF better than Solo Q. That being said, a 100 hour SWF isn't stronger than 1000+ hour Solo Q. Knowing how to utilize the information and assess the situation are important skills that you don't just automatically gain by playing in a SWF.

WHAT? You’re telling me that people with 10x more experience in the game are better? Get tf outta here with that BS. You’re telling me that relatively speaking the more you play the game, the better you are? No, absolutely not. No way, absolutely impossible. A quantum computer wouldn’t even be able to process that even if it were running for YEARS, DECADES.

I hope these players are at least having fun because their MMR doesn't go up from hatch escapes, and they sure aren't buying much with their points. Not really sure why you would do this to your team.

MMR doesn’t even work regardless if it “goes up”

Bond+Kindred+OpenHanded+BT/OtR is the way to go, baby!

Survivors are somehow allergic to this, as you say, and claim that SWFs basically get this information without burning up a perk slot, but this people totally sleep on the fact that SEEING is infinitely superior to HEARING! Yeah, it might be nice to hear your buddy say "I am coming to shack from the mid of the map with the killer in tow!!!", but its something totally different to actually see everyone on half the map around you and getting a very good general feel of whats actually going on. No one (unless they are really professional gamers for a living and train for this) can actually describe everything so fast and vividly like a quick glance around can do.

And Kindred with OpenHanded is like using sanctioned wall haxx. If anyone is hooked you basically see everything the killer does on literally half the map. Its so strong that you might be tempted to leave someone hanging :P

So everyone laughing about these kinda builds should trey them out themselves before scoffing.

Beacuse you don’t need to see lol. “I’m running him on shack”, why do you need to see the chase? You already know they’re at shack so what does wasting a perk slot on information that’s useless. If they leave shack thye’ll tell you where they’re going. There’s no need for seeing anything unless you’re legally blind.

Only value I see in this build is if you’re going for a flash save but even then you just need good positioning and you either find the angle or don’t. I don’t need to see my teammate looping, I just need to know where they are to know what I should be doing. It feels nice ig but you can run an exuahstion or healing perk which will get way more value.

  • @INoLuv said:

Use kindred instead, everyone is allergic to it, they prefer to run around the hook while the killer camps instead of doing gens

You’re team will still probably not do gens even if they face camping or will find a way to go down while trying to 1 for 1 and you’re still on hook.

I don't know. I almost never use map offerings because I like it being random, but sometimes when you've been sent to maps you dislike strongly several times in the evening, it's nice to be able to decide where to go, without it being a very strategic plan.

Maybe if there was a seperate game mode for very high mmr where people do this kind of strat, map offerings could be banned, but for casual players I feel like most times it just amounts to avoiding Midwich for a while.

I mean MMR doesn’t mean much tbh. I could run Sole Survivor, Wake Up, and Left Behind with hatch offering every match. I could hide the entire game until my team dies then escape through gates or hatch. That would raise my MMR yet it is most definitely not skillful. BHVR needs to fix MMR before they try to implement it into anything else.

Not easily, but good game sense is 100% a substitute for comms. On top of that, most SWFs aren't even talking about the game and they're still way stronger than solo because they're all good players.

It's also the reason SWF isn't a problem. It's not drastically stronger than survivors should be, it's just playing survivor at a higher potential.

After seeing your comments in other threads. Bravo, you got me. I thought you were serious. You got me haha. Pretty good troll tbh

Nah, Oni can keep the bug. He is actually usable with it. At least until they get around to adjusting his add ons.

Maybe they will fix Nemesis to celebrate Project W. You never know!

whats wrong with Oni? He’s been an amazing killer. A - B teir at least. His power is an insta down that can hit multiple survivors so if you’re tunneling bonus points. It’s mobility is insane and you can insta down with the strike and dash combo. And if you can’t hit your strikes you can M1 regularly. He has quick pallet shreds like Demo and Bubba. Even faster than Bubba and only slightly slower (I think) than Demo. His only real counter is medkits and honestly that counters every killer except Plauge.

Really easy to use and the only real learning curve is learning how to straif with demon dash and learning how to hit the demon strikes. Good 1v1 potential and good map pressure with his mobility.

Solving the MMR problem isn't as easy as you think it is. And comms don't do much in DbD in most cases.

“Comms don’t do much in DBD in most cases.” - No one ever.

Yea knowing where the killer is at all times pretty useless. Wouldn’t do ANYTHING useful during a match. They should host tournaments without comms. Although for some reason everybody including any good DBD streamer says that comms do in fact change multiple things but who are they to talk they only play the game for a living. And a lot of them are even chosen to be representatives of the community but what do they know imma right

  • @PapiFelixPSN said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3114029#Comment_3114029

Solo is considered weaker because in the vast majority of games the randoms, who make or break your game, are bad. SWF is only stronger than solo because they can filter out bad players.

Yep not like you get free kinderd, know the exact location of killer 24/7, can coordinate saves to maximize gen time, know where each other are at all times so they don’t have to waste time trying to figure out where they are to coordinate heals, and completely counter any stealth killer power except ig Wraith unless they have flashlight. All things SoloQ can do easily and are totally equal to that of a SWF.

I support adding in game comms. I just don't think it'll solve anything. Comms won't make bad players good.

Which is why I said solve the MMR problem right afterwards. Anybody with half a brain is gonna take advantage and play better then without comms. It’s brining SoloQ and SWF closer without buffing SWF.

"so people just embrace the Go Next mentality if the odds are not in your favor."

This is what I don't understand. Do these same people throw the chessboard across the room if the "odds are not in their favor"?

Man used chess as an example LMFAOO. IN chess the other person can’t just take a pawn and then stop me from playing the rest of the game. In DBD you get downed once and facecamped you’re not gonna be able to play the game. You’re also reliant on yourself. You don’t have another person with you moving your chess pieces for you then losing the game beacuse of them. I get what you were trying to do but that was a horrible example.

To have fun as survivor you either have to not care about anything or hope you get decent teammates with a fun killer that doesn’t tunnel or camp with a decent map that isint too busted like The Game but not completely horrendous like RPD or that one variant of Shelter Woods.

I mean, I regularly play solo queue. I played it before SWF was even an option (Although I will admit I dodged lobbies to play with my friends a few times).

Anyways, the game is now being balanced around SWF, which is the potential that survivors have. This is obviously going to screw over solos, who can't guarantee good teammates.

A solo queue team with all good members is as strong as a SWF with all good members. Comms means next to nothing, just skill.

Again, we don't know if MMR is broken or if the survivors you're getting are the same skill level as before, just without overpowered things to carry them such as DH or COH. There's no real way to tell the difference.

How would BHVR balance the game without harming solo? It's impossible.

Add more communication options for SoloQ. Done. Solves a lot of problems. Now you just need to solve the ######### MMR problem broken or not it’s bad. Then the game is actually playable.

Sure, but all of the things you listed you could already do before, and even more efficiently because they only had one health state as opposed to two. And I would reason that because gen slowdown perks are on average worse than before, hard tunneling is less effective because gen interrupts are more important than ever since you can't just hook the same guy twice, get two Pops after two Tinkerers, because both of those perks were nerfed heavily going into this patch. With Deadlock you might be better off, but with the extra health state I don't think those 10 seconds are a big deal.

Regardless, I think no matter what you do killers who want to tunnel will tunnel, and killers who want to camp will camp. I think there are reasonable adjustments they can make, but IMO the best solution to the camping and tunneling problem (and I will agree that it is a problem) is to add positive incentives to not doing those things, like adding BBQ's old BP bonus base-kit or factoring in hooks in MMR. Because killers and survivors know every kill and every escape is treated exactly the same according to the system, some will play as scummy as humanly possible because they know the game doesn't care.

Yes but I survive more than a minute guaranteed. Not just 10 seconds. Health states don’t really mean much if you can just delete those health states in 5 seconds. I’m not explaining that again. A tombstone Myers doesn’t care if your healthy kind of like that. 2 health states in theory is nice bus it doesn’t matter when it can be taken away so easily. Just hit off hook catch up hit again. DS you get hit off you stun them or you get slugged for a minute giving your team some time to either pick you up or do some gens. OTR does not grant the same protection. Like I said in theory it’s better in practice imo it’s most definitely not.

Yea. Can’t stop that. Put you can insentivize people away from it. Thus anti tunnel perks being meta.

  • @cluxdx said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3113516#Comment_3113516

But how is it easier to tunnel if every survivor you're tunneling has 2 health states compared to 1 in the past? You are making zero sense. I would genuinely make the case that because of OTR hook trades on the rescuer are more efficient than tunneling in the vast majority of scenarios.

And regardless you aren't addressing my point that while 62% seems like a lot, it's relatively on-par with what I was getting pre-patch playing the exact same way. I'm not making a "killer OP" or "survivor OP" argument, I'm making an argument that things aren't realistically that different.

And again, you are not getting camped and tunneled every game. Some killers play that way, some don't. Acting like every killer camps and tunnels is the same thing as all the killer mains on the forum going "I face nothing but comp sweat squads!" Realistically, the stats we see are probably less than half represented by camping and tunneling, and the majority are just people playing normally.

Well if I’m Nurse I just destroy them lol. As Blight I hit them off hook catch up in 2 seconds and down them again with 0 punishment. As Nemisis I hit them off hook and when they try vault/throw a pallet down I hit them with my tentacle since they’re probably infected already they’re going down instantly. As Huntress hatchet then down them in 2 seconds. As Trickster I knife them and keep knifing them or M1 2 seconds later to down them. As Deathslinger M1, shoot them, down. As Artist they might maybe actually get to a loop but I just place my crows and down them with those or I just M1 them after they have 0 other options since it’s a lose - lose. Clown I just bottle hit bottle hit then down. Again 0 punishment unless they’re already in a good loop. Which won’t mean much if I’m an anti loop killer or have STBFL.

Yes they have 2 health states but it doesn’t matter if you can delete those 2 health states instantly. Gens take longer, teammates are worse = no gens getting done. Chases are nerfed with the holding W being weaker and the recovery after hitting a survivor. You get less distance, even if you loop them you get less gens done even if your teammates are somehow good and know what a “gen” is. I don’t get what’s so hard to understand? Do you actually play survivor? If you’re getting tunneled regrades of perks you’re going to die. Unless you’re a comp player youre dead 99% of the time. It’s not rocket science.

Yea I know. Killers still run slowdown and survivors still run anti tunnel perks. Never said they weren’t the same. I agree with you on that. Just saying that tunneling is more effective with the 90 second gens and MMR being worse somehow on top of SoloQ getting an overall nerf.

For me I get tunneled with OTR and I die instantly beacuse like I said any mobility or anti loop killer is downing you and putting you on hook in the same breath. DS forced them to get hard punish regardless of killer. Mobility, ranged, and anti-loop killers are still obviously killing you in most situations but beacuse gen rushing and chases were a lot easier back then tunneling wasn’t as effective. Otz the killer god himself said tunneling and camping is more effective multiple times on stream and in his videos lol. OTR is good, just doesn’t do much against tunneling in this patch. Neither does base kit BT. It does absolutely nothing 99% of the time. In fact it’s even worse because instead of the killer maybe waiting those 8 seconds BT bought allowing you to get slightly more distance they know hit you immediately and down you again since you’re right in front of them and I’m not repeating how easy it is to down a survivor you’re tunneling.

  • I mean what’s the inventive? SoloQ is the weakest role in the game yet you get less BP than Killers relatively speaking.

Even if your teammates don’t DC they might as well have because they’re so horrendously bad 99% of the time because MMR doesn’t even work and even if it did anybody with a brain will tell you that escaped does not equal skill. Literally got a game against a Billy where a Dwight crouched the entire game and ran into the chainsaws when he wasn’t even getting chased and didn’t even know what a “gen” was. Does that match seem fun to you? At least killers get BP, survivors are completely reliant on their team to not throw like they do almost every match or if the killer isint playing scummy.

Onto that point the only fun thing for survivors to do is chase. Haha GOODLUCK half the killers are anti loop. Or they’re Blight, Spirit and Myers with busted add ons that might as well give them 4K’s if equipped. You get facecamped? Have fun staring at a screen for 2 minutes. Your teammate gets facecamped? Watch as your team all hook bomb the Bubba go down and give him a 4K insentivising it more. And in the very, VERY lottery winning off chance you get a team that doesn’t have the collective IQ of a couch have fun doing gens and holding M1 the entire match. Getting tunneled? Hey at least you get chase interaction at the trade off of certain death, less BP, and most likely de-pipping. Haha so much fun. If you’re not getting chased have fun pressing M1 for 3 minutes. Yes 3 minutes beacuse if I’m not doing a gen odds are nobody in my team is either and someone has to actually progress the game.

But hey you can just play with friends to avoid bad teammates? Nope it’s considered toxic and you’re a sweaty DISGUSTING SWF. Well what if you don’t play sweaty and meme around? Nope you’re toxic bully squad beacuse doing gen = gen rushing and not doing gens and memeing = bully squad. You literally cannot win no matter what you do. Literally a post about having an invulnerability window for killers because a killer got stunned by by a “bully squad” Head On too many times.

But what if you somehow, god blesses you and gives you actual decent teammates? Haha to the killer any coordination = SWF. Because SoloQ is so bad that a lot of killers think that if survivors can work together as an actual team they HAVE to be on comms and are a DISGUSTING SWF.

So to summarize to have fun as a SoloQ survivor you have to go against an actual fun killer that doesn’t counter the only fun thing you can do, have to have teammates that know how “gens” are and don’t go down in 3 seconds, and the killer has not play a causal game part game of DBD like they’re competing on a 10 million dollar tourny while their entire family is being held hostage at gunpoint and the entire world is gonna explode if they don’t get the 4K. So I ask again why would anyone want to play SoloQ survivor?

You don't know if it's made matchmaking worse or if it's something completely different that did it. Hell, you don't even know if matchmaking is worse in the first place or if survivors were crutching on DH to win them games.

At the end of the day, the balance changes in the patch have NOTHING to do with solo queue being horrible. Solo queue didn't die with this patch, it's been dead since before SWF was an option.

And now it’s worse. No one, not s ingle person except killer mains pretending they play SoloQ would tell you that SoloQ wasn’t dead before the patch. The fact that BHVR is committing necrophilia on SoloQ is the problem. An already weak role getting worse. Nothing happens to SWF’s. Killers still run slowdown. Yes it’s been horrible and now it’s worse. I don’t get where you or other people are getting that from since survivors have been complaining about SoloQ for years.

Suddenly everybody got baby teammates more so than usual, Clown is kill switched, survivors drop more blood orbs (they still haven’t acknowledged it so shadow buff ig), and the BP inventive got broken. No I may not know for sure but using context clues you can see a pattern, and anybody who regularly plays SoloQ is going to tell you that the MMR and the teammates are definitely worse. Hell Scott Jund made a video mentioning how MMR is indeed broken/was broken. How do you raise a patch with multiple things getting bugged making SoloQ even worse. Double whammy.

But again, OTR is directly equivalent to being healthy, with the only exception being that you have to mend. If you're getting tunneled right now with OTR on the current patch, you are in an inherently better situation than you were in the past, because you are the equivalent of being healed to full pre-patch, and never even had to heal in the case you're running OTR.

And yes, specific perks have always been a requirement in this game, whether that's a good thing or not. Exhaustion perks have always been a must, as has been BT. Now instead of BT, it's OTR. Gen slowdown is still required, just now instead of Pop and Ruin it's Call of Brine and Deadlock. This patch is far more alike to how the game has always been than you think. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Ok? It doesn’t change the fact that it’s hard countered by almost every killer who wants to tunnel, STBFL or just hitting you instantly. But I mean sure OTR is technically better. Doesn’t really matter since in this patch it’s infinitely times easier to tunnel than the old patch. Even if OTR is the “best anti-tunnel perk” you’re gonna die faster than if you had old DS and all the other changes before the patch.

Yeah, It does not matter when in-chase you are led to two lockers that are toghether with a person with Head On inside each. And you have no other option than going through there or else you will loose the survivor. I am talking of Dead Dawg's second floor. If you drop chase there you may loose the survivor. The "git gud" does not apply here, buddy. And take in count that SWF groups heal faster due to their coordination and perks oriented to be a pain. The result, if you try to avoid the stuns, may be endless chases while they have a guy always doing gens. And if you daré chase that Guy, another one starts repairing while the other two make sure you are in hell. This has happened to me some time ago and I could do nothing although I was trying my best. I assume you support survivor empowerment.

Or you could bait them or grab them out of the locker. After the 3rd Head On stun you should know their shtick and search the lockers before you get stunned. Now you get a free hook. Problem solved. It is most definitely a skill issue if you get stunned THAT many times.

Take into accounts it’s a SWF odds are you’re going to loose regardless. Literally everything is buffed. Gen times, chases, coordination everything is a pain.

Huh then I wonder why in tournaments they don’t just run Head On and chain stun the killers then and just get insta win LMFAOO. Bro you’re bad and it’s OK. SWF are pretty OP and by the sounds of it you are not a skilled killer if you’re complaining about the weakest exhaustion perk in the game. Just make post about how annoying SWF are then go about your day,

Pipping, especially in solo queue is way too reliant on your teammates. If a a teammate suicides/DC’s early at gold/iri ranks it’s almost a guarantee you’ll be losing a pip. For killer, you’re in control of your destiny a bit more so I agree that “git gud” is more of a reasonable suggestion. However the issue for me is if a killer is outmatched in a game due to MMR screwing them over then the pipping system encourages camping/tunnelling to try and salvage a safety pip by any means necessary. The game needs to discourage sweat at this point not add to it.

Also people have documented at iri ranks that if a killer players poorly meaning you as a survivor literally cannot get chase/altruism points there is a chance you can escape and still de-pip! Which is absolute insanity. If that doesn’t tell you how flawed the system is then I don’t know what will.

Anything in SoloQ is reliant on your team lol. Which they WILL suck. If you could have a perk that deletes the killer from the match your team will still find a way to not do gens

  • It sucks but you could just try to not play Freddy. You can’t purposely play a bad character and expect not to get dogged on while simultaneously wanting to win. If you want to win while having fun play Oni or other A tier killers.

  • So you want them doing gens instead of memeing with Head On? But then they’re toxic genrushers? So are they just now allowed to do, anything that is annoying to killer? Head On is one of the the worst if not the worst exhaustion perks in the game. If you’re losing to that it seems like the squad isint the problem it’s you.

That's a matchmaking problem, and it has nothing to do with the patch.

Its made matchmaking worse. People have been getting teammates that literally don’t even know how to unhook people. It’s most definitely a this patch problem. Although MMR has been a problem for years so your half right.

That's why I said to run Resurgence or We'll Make It. Killers cannot proxy camp all the time if the survivors aren't screwing themselves over and not doing gens. As soon as the killer goes to pressure gens then gen the save and slam the heal in 8 seconds, or 4 if you have both perks. Even if you can't get healed, Off The Record by itself gives you 2 health states, which is directly equivalent to the best situation you could be in pre-patch before the OTR buff.

So you have to run a specific build and waste 3 perks slots to fix a core gameplay mechanic? Alright it could work doesn’t seem like much fun but sure?

Doesn't change the fact any mobility or ranged killer is downing you almost instantly even with OTR unless you have amazing loops near you. If they’re playing a normal killer than yea, better then DS but considering half the killer roster is anti loop good luck. Only really works against M1 killers.

Even if you got downed instantly DS forced them to either wait a minute before tunneling or 5 second stun which could more often than not get you to a loop. You couldn’t really counter it if you were hard tunneling. Now with its 3 second pillow slap to the killers face you might as well put yourself back on hook. Theoretically OTR is better but in practice it has too many counters. You can still make more plays technically with OTR but if they bring 5 second DS back I can almost guarantee less or more killer will be punished for tunneling.

Survivors were used to being the power role, and the second that changed they started crying.

People aren't leaving in droves, either. Everyone with the slightest bit of skill stayed.

Funny cuz any really good streamer that plays killer will tell you that SoloQ is weaker and that SWF is the only problem and power role. Hmmm

Iframes didn't matter. DH was broken because of the distance it gave, and it still does the exact same thing that everyone claimed y'all were doing with it. Now, you can actually wait out DH.

Survivors definitely did need major changes. Some of them I don't agree with, but overall the patch was a very good thing

This patch slight inconvenienced SWF and totally killed SoloQ. Already weaker than killer. They just made SoloQ a stomp fest for killers in most matches since their MMR system sucks and doesn’t even work half the time

Camping is and always has been an absolute throw for the killer. Now you went from a guaranteed 1k doing it to a guaranteed 1k and maybe a shot at a 2k if you have Deadlock, NOED and/or No Way Out. If the killer gets more than 1 kill camping, it's probably because you gave them more than 1 kill.

Tunneling is in the exact same spot is was before if not marginally worse because, in my opinion, OTR is better than DS was. If a killer tunneled you through BT and every single predropped pallet in the past, DS may well only have 10 seconds left by the time you went down. Slugs you for a bit, comes back and rehooks you.

Now with OTR a survivor is essentially healthy off hook until they themselves decide to disable the effect. Better yet, have Resurgence or a teammate with We'll Make It and you can get healed to full and have 3 health states, so if you get tunneled the killer will just end up throwing and giving your team loads of gen time.

Killers who tunnel will tunnel, and killers who camp will camp. Camping is still not an effective strategy to win unless the survivors enable it, and tunneling is even riskier than before.

If you’re getting tunneled how are you getting healed?

if they decide to eat BT immediately there goes your “free health state” which even if they wait out BT and hit your OTR any mobility killer will down you instantly and out you on hook. Any ranged killer is also dogging on you. Same if they play Legion or have STBFL.

I see issues with any of this tbh. It's fairly obvious to most folks that as long as all four survivors possess a functioning brain and make relatively good calls the game is a good back and forth struggle. The problem is how survivor MMR works.

Say you have bad matches with teammates with such laughably low intelligence that referring to thier intellect as "sub-brick" is a complement. Well in matches with teammates that practically kill themselves (sometimes this is more literal) the odds of escaping through the gates is far harder than it needs to be. So until you escape through the gate repeatedly, you won't get good matches, since the hatch doesn't affect MMR and death lowers it.

Honestly? If folks have awful teammates for more than 3 games today, equip Wake Up and Sole Survivor and just gate creep. Prioritize getting yourself out those doors above everything else until you get 5-10 wins a day. Do this enough times and maybe the teammates will get better.

Bold of you to assume MMR actually works

the extremely strong on both ends should be nerfed. The idea of players on comms having free 1 min base DS in addition to anti tunnel and anti camp perks sounds awful. Just like nurse running her best perks is also awful, they should both be toned down. I do think camping protection should be increased & perhaps tunneling as well, but disagree that a 1 min shield is the solution to this issue. I would much rather they buffed the base time of free endurance & reverted the DS stun nerf + give it 2 procs.

They could just remove collision if you get the base DS. That would solve all the problems.

Is the 1 minute shield that bad? They can’t do any gens except heal. And more than half the killer roster is anti loop so even if they get to one it shouldn’t be too bad?
