Don't forget how DC's can inflate those numbers so I wouldn't use that for a reference if I were you.
Matches are not counted that have a DC. All i'm saying is given the statistics, i doubt bhvr are eager to buff him. Hopefully it's more of quality of life update, but given what they've done in the last developer update, they nerfed 3 killers based on high kill rates and nerfed unknown for whatever reason. And cenobite has consistently had high kill rates since his launch, and i don't see why they would have gone down recently. They did nerf him 3 months after his release by nerfing his solve duration addons.
Would love to be wrong but just trying to avoid disappointment -

This is old though. His stats have changed drastically over the last 8 months.
As i said, last time they posted kill rates.

This isn’t true. He was far from number #3

It should be, it does not. Try in a custom game, the survivors will be near silent. Something is bugged

Freddy is the fourth deadliest killer, isn't he?
…I'm scared.
I don't know what to expect anymore ☹️

Really? I rarely see pinhead anywhere right now except when I play him
Low-ish pick rate but last time they posted kill rate stats he was #3 iirc
-
It's the next major patch, the next chapter.
Considering what they did to skull merchant i'd lower your expectations… pinhead consistently has one of the highest kill rates. -

The idea of Finisher Mori as a whole is simply unhealthy.
By hiding the Mori animation behind a 4k, it automatically incentivizes people to slug for the 4k...and we all know how fun and riveting it is.
Not to mention it also indirectly encourages proxy-camping/tunnelling, reduce Killer variety and perk variety in order to get that juicy animation (which I guarantee will get old really quick and will be met with more scorn than a normal 4k, it would be a matter of time before Mori animations are seen as a form of BM like "let me rub my victory in your face a bit longer with this cutscene") since when Survivors start to get better, weaker/slower/M1 Killers tend to struggle more and need to play more aggressively to compete.
Hiding Mori behind 4k is, in my opinion, only going to make people hate those animations and will make the game even less casual/newcomer-friendly than it already is.
There's a reason why the dreadful basekit Unbreakable was attempted alongside the Finisher Mori PTB: otherwise every single games would just end in a slugfest. Hell, during that PTB there were more bleedout games than normal even though people could get up because Killers wanted that animation after tunnelling the first 2 Survivors.
Completely agree with this. 3 years ago they said in the anniversary stream that they want moris to be seen as less toxic, but this has not been addressed at all. Now, mori offerings are a bet that says "i will get a 4k". Incentivising them to 4k even more, making it feel worse when they don't, and those "nice mori" comments won't be going anywhere. Reworking the offerings means it will be very rare to get multiple mori matches too.
Overall extremely disappointing especially when this was tested 2 years ago and all they come back with is cypress mori basekit and the same reworked offerings that no one liked. -
I think the worst about it is that it sets a precedent for how they can "balance" killers. If survivors complain about a killer enough bhvr won't hesitate to nerf them into F tier until they feel like reworking them some day.
It makes me worry for any killer, is any killer even safe from this?
Pinhead and plague might be up next, since they consistently get high kill rates. After that they will probably gut chucky at some point. Been losing motivation to play after the dev update, it's been really disappointing. -
Yeah i think this iteration of lights out is a lot better than the original. Only problem is that if survivors hold candles they are screwed when getting chased, because they are highly visible even through walls.

Her kill rate was 11.5% above average as of February. These changes are not going to swing those by like 15%, which is what she'd need to be terrible. She still gets free haste and her drones can still force survivors to leave loops or take hits. She still has decent tracking, either from the drones themselves or from seeing where drones get disabled. She can still three gen pretty effectively. She will be plenty playable.
Yes, kill rates aren't the end all be all, but she was an outlier in how well she was performing before. She needed big nerfs to rejoin the pack.
No she doesn't get haste at all anymore. Drones only get you a "free" injure if you dont injure the survivor before they get tagged 3 times without going in the dying state, which is far more unlikely to happen due to having only 1 scan line. There will be no outside of chase tracking because the drones have no stealth mode anymore. She sounds extremely weak, trapper sounds much better.

She will still be playable after the nerfs. She'll just be lower tier, which is fine and appropriate.
Her nerfs are absolutely massive, otz even agrees that its the most he's ever seen a killer nerfed and she will be terrible.

Predator, Genetic Limits, Blood Echo, Distortion.

I really don't think she needs another rework, I like her power concept currently, the only issue I felt like she had was the haste and hindered aspect, which has been adjusted
Haste and the hindered is what I despise about going against skull merchant, with that being gone, she's gonna actually felt pretty ok to go against
Sure to go against but she's going to be absolutely awful to play. That's not ok

The dev note just said scans. It never said claw traps. Those were 2 separate features.
The dev note mentions two things that affect the distance and one of them is removed, i think it's safer to assume it's been removed but we'll know for sure on the 17th.

While I agree that she will be bad, the haste removal is one of the right nerfs tho, the others might be too much, but I‘m happy that they basically gutt her as someone who hates her.
You don't know the right nerfs, then.
-
Not liking this update very much.
Finisher mori is great but it's embarrassing that it took 2 entire years from it's original PTB to be released as a literal basekit cypress mori.
Changing the teamwork perks just allows swf to abuse them even more. Solo wont find much use out of these perks.
Lucky star change is really bad. If you want to be silent in lockers just use Iron will. The 30 second effect from exiting is not very good. The removal of the aura is the worst part, that made the perk cool, now it's just niche and very boring.
Genetic limits change seems overpowered, chase killers can use this perk to counter exhaustion perks almost completely.
Leverage change is ok but i'd rather use gift of pain
Skull merchant update is horrible, they nerfed her so bad.
Every other change is ok but overall im feeling negative about this update -

I hope so, that is the most annoying part of her kit.
She basically has nothing left now, need 3 scans to injure and break a survivor, and 4 to slow them down by 5%. Why would u play this killer anymore, clown's gas slows survivors down by 15%

Claw traps yes, scanning no.
I think it's been removed entirely based on the dev note.

Oppression is the only gen regression they buffed recently. I've tried it, but survivors hit the skill more than i expected and you don't get info on the other gens that get regressed without surveillance but it's not really worth at this point.
They did buff Trail or Torment, Dragons Grip and Machine learning. These buffs are quite nice, but they don't replace gen regression, and you have to adapt your playstyle to get value out of them. -
I main chucky (i've said this since last year so im not just making this up) and i honestly think he is currently too easy. It's too hard to avoid slice and dice. I barely use rat poison, usually use drill and jump rope.
Not sure how they could address this without making him awful to play though. Maybe a slight increase in cooldown would be all that is necessary, because he was arguably harder to play when he had a 18 second cooldown because you had to carefully manage it. Not saying they should put it back to 18, i think that's too long when he has no scamper. But maybe 14.
Or maybe make him 4.6m/s and replace slice and dice with a different ability, but i don't know what ability that could be. -

Since when? 24 charges standard, minus 33% is 16 ( 1 heal on self ) 16 charges via add-ons then give 2 heals, the 33% debuff is given before add-ons
Since they reworked medkits a while back. the 33% debuff affects add-ons, the charge add-ons are affected by the efficiency penalty
-
He got a rework with the chucky patch. No recoil, moves at 4.6m/s, gets main event in 8 blades instead of 30 but has slower throw rate and removed ramp up and takes 8 blades to injure. Because of his decreased lethality, his memento blades add-on is basically a must have, as it straight up increases your throw rate by 10%.
-
A full heal takes 16 charges, but medkits have a 33% efficiency and speed penalty when self healing. So a self heal requires 24 because of that, so you would need 48 charges to get a medkit that heals yourself twice.
-
agitation is really good for scourges and just in general speeding up the hooking process. The increased terror radius is usually a downside though i suppose.
-
It does work with the 3 second aura reveal duration if you are the obsession, so it reveals the killer for 5 seconds but they will only see you for 3. I don't know how the interaction works when the killer is revealed by them revealing you.
-
Also if you own all characters the newest one isn't at the top anymore. However in the store, the newest characters will appear first still.
I like how it is now -
i got the achievement a while ago. Sometimes i play it just for fun but not often because it's unrewarding in terms of bloodpoints and grade and also gets repetitive fast.
-
Not sure what you mean because getting 6 traps as trapper is still extremely difficult
-
I expect they are working closely with Scott on the chapter, so i don't feel like it will mostly be BHVR's interpretation. Scott's said if he collabs he wants to make sure FNAF isn't misrepresented. It's why the movie took 9 years, there was a lot of different screenplays and 3 or more partners he worked with.
-
I remember seeing it got 1.7 milion views after 19 minutes, and it's quickly become the most liked DBD tweet.
It's fair to say it's one of the most requested and anticipated collabs despite what naysayers think. -
They can't put other licensed characters onto already licensed characters. Director recently said in reference to Stranger Things Vecna onto DnD vecna "There's no way in hell it can happen" (paraphrasing)

If someone funds hateful bigotry to the tune of thousands of dollars, they at the very least consider such hateful bigotry to be acceptable.
Which the people targeted and harmed by such bigotry are well-within their rights to condemn, as is everyone who cares in the slightest about human rights and human lives.
Scott Cawthon chose to inflict material harm to LGBTQ people.
His response to being caught out doing so was a milquetoast non-apology and a vague handwave towards other donations he made. He's still doing the exact same thing to this day.
He still profits from the very same IP that BHVR has chosen - despite their own alleged support for LGBTQ people - to collaborate with. You don't get to be dismissive and disrespectful of the very real threats to human life that LGBTQ people face as a result of people like that.
No not necessarily. He didn't soley fund hateful bigotry you are just focusing on purely one thing when that's not what this was, there's more to this than just human rights and he didn't explicitly and soley chose to harm LGBTQ people.
His response to being caught out was honesty.
He profits from his own IP because of course he should.
You're in your right to condemn him but i don't agree with the reasons why. I'm not being dismissive i just don't see things the same way. -
You can earn all original characters for free and technically (though i will admit, not practically and conveniently) get all licensed perks for free too. They also have events where you can earn full outfits for free too. For me that justifies the game remaining paid and it's fairly cheap and goes on sale frequently. If it was F2P they'd probably reduce event rewards, iridescent shards and do more monetisation and i would rather they not.

I'm happy for them to announce it as early as possible so we don't have to keep anticipating it, getting disappointed when it's not it and arguing about it. I feel like the playing the game more now that i know my most wanted collab is going to happen.

I don't think Freddy will be a killer because Scott recently said in an interview that in the movie he wanted to preserve the innocence of the animatronics because they are dead children possessing robots. In the film, they only killed vandals because they felt threatened.
You could stretch it and say the entity has manipulated them to kill survivors to defend themself but scott also said that he is protective of the image of FNAF so making the animatronics bloodthirsty killers in DBD misrepresents them.
Personally i think Springtrap/William Afton as the killer is perfect and sufficient. A survivor would be cool and i hope Scott and BHVR come up with something cool kinda like with Yoichi. Map has a few choices too and there's a ton of cosmetic potential.
edit : also Stranger Things does not have two killers. -

Just finished watching the video. Really interesting takes for sure. It still really feels like the whole, "I can't be homophobic; I've got gay friends!"
Scott doesn't come across as that kind of person to me. The people that say that are sarcastic people that know they are actually homophobic but use technicalities to defend themself. But scott never really defended himself, i think his last reddit post is a better representation of him than this video in hindsight because fnaf community will want to defend him. But he never defended himself he made it clear what he did, why he did it and stood by his decision. "If i get cancelled, i get cancelled"

People make mistakes, we should let them grow from them. but now we are cancelling people for them and making them want to go harder into these, where they will never grow at all
grow up, like scott did
thanks
I am on Scott's side in this whole ordeal but i will say that he made it clear what he did is not a mistake. In the reddit post he did he explicitly refused to apologize, he stood by what he did. I'm saying this for accuracy

This video looks into a bit more if you're interested
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmrtnEzxEzMHe didn't donate to anti-LGBT organizations, but he donated to politicians who shared anti-LGBT views. I'm sorry but you cannot just say "Oh, I may donate to and support people who want to take away your right to exist, but I do it because I agree with them on tax policy." and then claim to be an ally or that you care about LGBT people.
He doesn't claim to be an ally either. But i believe that through his actions he isn't anti-LGBT. But i wouldn't say he's pro-LGBT either. I think he just treats everyone the same.

Donating to people who are trying to remove the rights of LGBT people absolutely makes someone anti-LGBT. It doesn't matter if you get found out and then try to make donations to save face. It is just super disappointing because BHVR has always painted themselves as an ally, but then turn around and give money to someone who is very much against the values they claim to have.
Still dont think that makes him anti-LGBT. He did what he thought was best overall when it comes to these things, you cant have a president who is everything you want. He didn't seek to harm LGBT people.
He didn't donate to save face because he consistently donates on charity streams and he's done that for a long time before that incident happened. When that incident did happen he pretty much disappeared from the public internet.
I don't think he deserves the hate he gets at all. I think it's misdirected. -
@HarmoniousMelody said:
I just saw this and I have to wonder if Scott Cawthon will be receiving money from the chapter. It would be really disappointing if he did considering BHVR has been incredibly pro LGBT and has fostered a community that feels far more accepting of LGBT people than the average gaming community, while he actively has worked against LGBT rights.
He definitely will because he still owns the rights, it says at the bottom of the image.
Personally i've always rejected the idea that he is anti-LGBT. Yeah he made those donations to presidents years ago that have anti-LGBT views but he said he did that because he thought they would run his country best overall. He's donated huge amounts to LGBT charities during charity streams and he's worked with LGBT and transgender people on fnaf projects.
If you still think he's anti-LGBT then you are free to not buy any of the content in the game -
