Yeah he's pretty good.
Important things to know in my opinion :
- Fly is best used to fly over a vault in a chase. It doesn't give much distance for otherwise just catching up
- Mage Hand is best used when you are close to a survivor in a pallet loop. If you use it too far it wont work
- Dispel Sphere is actually good after the bugfixes you can use it in a chase to disable items
- Flight of the damned is only really good for spawning skeletons on top of survivors. It's pretty bad otherwise.
He also has 3 good perks. Weave attunement is pretty strong with franklins. Dark Arrogance is good vault speed. Languid Touch is good anti exhaustion and may become very useful when iron will gets buffed. -
I think the killer that needs updated the most graphically is myers. Very low detail on the outfit and the proportions are weird.
He should look more like the Fortnite skin
Also Ellen Ripley could look a lot better but not a case of being outdated unfortunately -
I think at the least you should be able to vault over pallets that are being broken. That's the strongest thing about it in my opinion, is that it simply turns the pallet into a blockade for the duration it's being broken. I don't think it's technically possible for the game to allow 2 interactions on a pallet at the same time so maybe they could make it work like dissolution.
-
I wish they did have mouse and keyboard support for console. Killer is simply harder on a controller. You have less potential.
Thankfully at least cross progression is coming so the option to move to PC would be there for those who can afford it -
Isn't that why they give up? Because a gen isn't done?
Unfortunately a hook before a gen means the killer has a strong lead. -

I understand your point. However i do disagree. I started this game as a killer main. Playing doctor, legion, trapper...now demogorgon and twins. If u try to have fun with the survivors 60% of the time at least 2 of them join in. And some of those moments are my most memorable. Killers always have and will control the flow of the trials. However stalling the final hooks for a min or two (which could be spent kicking gens, pallets, injuring aurvivors, etc) doesnt seem like a lot to ask.
I wouldn't want to stall the final hooks. Dragging the game out when the survivors know they are going to lose seems annoying. I get annoyed when nurses get multiple downs at 5 gens and 2 hook everyone anyways. The game is already over.
And i don't care about bloodpoints at all -
I think it's cool but i don't like skull merchant getting cosmetics because it encourages people to play her and i don't like that.
-
Asking players to behave differently never works.
Instead i think the game needs better balance and matchmaking.
Like this anniversary event is far too killer sided.
Perk balance is still not great.
Matchmaking is just bad. It doesn't feel like it scales noticeably.
Going easy on players just isn't fun. -
I like them and have no problem with them personally.
I think an option to turn them off would be fine though. -
Weaving spiders is not meta, toolboxes were not buffed in it's repair functionality, specialist is bad.
-
Yeah. Some of the clips i saw of the game people were demonstrating seemed pretty horror.
I don't think it really matters when it comes to survivors anyway. What makes a survivor "horror"? You can't tell by their appearance and that's all that you'll see anyway. -
I think you should be able to earn the old ones for free as well. At least for iridescent shards.
They aren't really that popular cosmetics, i can't see that many people will buy them. -
Chucky. Corrupt, Grim Embrace, Pain Res, Barbecue and Chili
Power Drill and Jump Rope -
Casual everyday wear for survivors.
Similarly for killers i like the ones that they would realistically wear in their stories. Like Legion's Saturday Slasher (Julie)
I also like brutal looking weapons -
2v8 mode is official and it's happening as a limited time game mode in July
-
I'm happy for you
But haven't both of these characters already been featured in a tome before? Seperately. -
I think flight of the damned is in a unhealthy spot.
The only viable way to use it is to spawn skeletons on top of survivors at a loop. I doubt this was intended and it doesn't seem fair for survivors.
But using at a range is just pointless. Survivors don't even need to know where it's coming from. If they hear it being used just crouch. -
Gonna be honest if you aren't getting value from we'll make it then you are probably unhooking too early. Or the killer is billy or blight. In which case you need a lot of distance or they need to be chasing someone else

Reassurance

I have to wonder is it not possible for dredge to have exclusive locker placements? Like instead of where onryo TVs would be, could there not just be lockers?

I think the power cooldown atm is why scamper can't be good. Because if you chain scampers and get a hit it allows you to have a shorter cooldown after you hit the survivor. I don't think scamper hits should reward a shorter cooldown because it overwhelms survivors.
I think the problem with scamper is the turn rate. Because atm, at most pallets, after you scamper a pallet survivors can just walk to the side of the pallet and chucky cannot hit them and then they'll vault the pallet.
Also i don't think the charge speed is too fast especially compared to other killers. Slice and dice needs to be fairly reliable because he's a 4.4 killer. -
His cooldown is already confirmed to be getting increased in the near future.
-
I seen some people testing it in a discord and apparently the stun across all killers ranges from 2.9 seconds to 5.9 seconds. Not one single killer gets stunned for the proper 4 seconds. Very bizzare bug.
-
You have to let the power button go after launching slice and dice to launch the attack early. Otherwise you'll just slide off of survivors and obstacles.
-
Maybe they can do backfill? So it's possible to join an ongoing game

That window was removed for a reason, it made for an insanely strong loop that was virtually impossible to catch a survivor at, even with bloodlust. So it was removed deliberately and will not be returned.
Thank you 🙏

Party totems reveal your aura after you interact with one and the peakaboo card reveals everyone's aura

I like the event a lot, tryks is a great character, the bag of tryks mechanic is fun. I like that the queues are seperate as it allows for a lot more interesting event gameplay.
Unfortunately i think it's safe to say the event is too killer sided. The killer abilities are very strong whilst the survivor abilities are only slightly useful. -
It is always 50% for me. I completely understand why. Killer abilities are very strong. Survivor abilities range from slightly useful to somewhat useful.

Plz give her a rework where she can control… Just give her a rework where she plays exactly like crypto from apex.

Overall, I have to agree. This update seems very good. Knight needs to be tested. The guard change at will seems a bit too much to me and it also seems like his insta break got removed. That would be pretty bad if one asks me.
All around. Im pretty excited for the ptb.
Insta break not removed, confirmed by peanits, they are actually making it easier.
-
If you mean that this means the devs don't intend to change distortion i disagree. Before distortion got it's recharge rework they increased the tokens to 4 before reverting in it's rework. Perhaps they just don't intend to change distortion right now, maybe they will do it in the future at the same time as other changes. Or maybe not but i don't think this confirms distortion will stay the way it is.

If most people don't want to put the time and effort into learning him it's their problem.
it's their problem
This IS gatekeeping.

It's not gatekeeping if inexperienced could literally just play more and get better instead of complaining. The concept of bad players performing badly makes sense to most people but in the dbd community it's "gatekeeping"
Yes but evidently most people don't want to put the time and effort into learning singularity because they don't think he's worth it. By making him easier more people will want to play him. It just feels like you are saying "well, he's been difficult to play for me so it should be difficult for everyone else too". You never had to play singularity if you didn't want to.
-
This sounds like gatekeeping to me.
-
I'm excited for the knight update.
The only thing i want to say is, i don't think the devs understand why Map of the Realm add-on is popular.
I think it's more because of the side effect of the add-on more than the actual effect. The side effect causes the initial patrol range to grow faster, therefore if you drop a guard on a survivor, the guard will detect them faster to start a hunt. I think this is the main appeal of the add-on.
Therefore i think they should have made this increased range grow speed basekit and removed it from the add-on. Because add-ons doing more than what they say is not good. -

Thats a wild statement, communication and teamwork in coop games is key, the way you communicate is up for debate but to say chat (voice or text) is impractical is just factually wrong... To coordinate a gank or something in a moba you need to somehow let your team know what you are planning, same for when you get gsnked and need to ask for back up... At its very core communication is required when you play or work together with other people to be as efficient/effective as possible.
And people can decide for themselves whether to use it or not and block people that use it negatively.
I believe it's impractical in solo queue. Strangers do not usually work well together. Just try overwatch and you'll see.
It doesn't have to be "key" and it's not key because they developers have not made it to be key.
And the problem with adding is that it means the game will then be balanced around having voice chat. Therefore if you don't use it you will be at a disadvantage. So it would affect all players so i would rather they not add it at all. -
I completely agree that his hitbox should be bigger. I really don't like playing him because the shots are so unforgiving, i feel like there's no room at all to be ambitious with his power, which isn't fun. This is with me using oil can and warden keys.
Don't really understand why huntress hitboxes are the size of beach balls and deathslinger's is the size of a needle and he isn't even guranteed a down. -
Realistically, team chat in team based online games in solo queue is impractical. Most people don't use it and when people do it's often used negatively.
I like dbd solo queue being balanced around not having voice chat. -
Apparently they tried this interally and they didn't like it so i don't think it will happen
-
Weak add-on. Would have preferred maybe it would reveal auras of survivors around pallets that you mage hand or something.
-
No i don't think so
The "Dedicated server is not responding" i think is more of a confusing issue than it looks like.
Afaik when this happens and you get a penalty, the server doesn't actually crash. If you look at a stream in the lobby for me the match was going on but i still got disconnected.
I've had matches where i had this message and i did not got penalty, i believe when that happens the server actually crashes.
I think the problem is some people are being randomly disconnected from the game for unknown reasons. I don't how to fix it, i contacted bhvr support and they accepted it as a bug. This was last november. And i think it has been an issue since early 2023 for some people. -
The nerf seems pretty pointless to me though. They increased the volume to increase awareness but i don't feel like this was ever an issue. Survivors are always crouching if you try to use it for a wall. It doesn't effect the only viable way to use it atm which is to spawn the skeletons on top of survivors to get an instant injure
-
If they made the game free to play they'd probably start monetising in other ways. And they'd probably stop with the earnable cosmetics during the events.
-
I play normal myers more than tombstone. Tombstone isn't really that fun, it's gets unrewarding very quickly.
-
Pretend we are hooking a survivor when we hang our towels
-
For me it doesn't mute but it changes to the store music

Regarding slower teleport speed at the start of nightfall: This happens because there is a 3 second transition period between daytime and nightfall where most of the benefits of nightfall haven’t gone into effect yet. If you begin your teleport during this 3 seconds, you don’t get the faster teleport speed (it is still 12m/s).
When you see the circle around survivors’ portraits turn orange, that’s when nightfall actually starts and that’s when the faster teleport speed (and faster cooldown) goes into effect. But if you start the teleport during daytime or during the transition time, it keeps the slower speed for that entire teleport.
Ah okay thank you
