I can't think Giant spider without some lackeys to make it even more dangerous.
It has a nests of eggs scattered about the map in clusters that can spawn in smaller giant spiders that roam the map. Make the smaller spiders AI somewhere between Neme's Zombies meets Knight's Guards and they can damage survs.
Alternatively, In lieu of damage, they could could either shoot or lay a ground web that instead applies a movement speed debuff to survs like Hindered.

Good morning fellow Pigs
Carpe all those DMs

Boil Over & NOED are just annoying enough to get an eye roll 🙄
Maybe its just the players that use them, but I don't like em regardless.
If I were going to speculate the most hated in history, Old DS #1 on survs. Eruption for Killers from recent memory, but you could make a case for the infamous gen tap Ruin days as well. That was a fun time.

I guess pubby is just that powerful. On the one hand, I love it, but on the other hand, this is going to murder my MMR. Shenanigans are my weakness.
…I do love that this community consistently decides the most terrifying creatures are adorable and their pet now. First the lamprey-jawed monster from the Upside Down became our dog, then the ultimate predator organism born via chestbursting became our cat, and now we're frantically petting the immortal vampiric lord of darkness and calling him the goodest boy. Newest Castlevania game be lookin' kinda different.
I've said it before and I said it again. I love killers (like Pig and now Dracula) who can bring the community together through positivity rather than tearing one another down.
-
Yes. Sounds like we have some Dracula players who cannot resist belly rubs. I think he also gets boops? I have some survs try to boop the snoot too.
A couple of times i've had survs say to me: "CAN I PET THAT DAWG?" They seem so enthusiastic for some reason 🤔

I’ve heard about the infamous survivor rule book that everyone talks about but I have noticed a few things in endgame chat exchanges between killers and survivors (which to be fair, has surprisingly rarely ever been toxic from my own experience).
I’ve noticed this on many occasions but only posting because yesterday I saw quite a few in quick succession and it stood out.
In soloQ, had a few killers who slugged and bled out and the endgame exchange between some of the survivors and killers: (these are across different games)
1: some killers said they didn’t like that survivors had flashlight in lobby so they were gonna tunnel and slug
2: killer said they didn’t like 3 toolboxes (none had bnp) so they did it to counter genrush
3: they saw a few players with the same character so presumed it was a swf so they played ‘sweaty’ (not my words)
4. Someone did a sabo in the game so they decided to slug everyone
5. Someone used blasting so they wanted revenge on the team
6. Someone hit them with two pallets so it was revenge
7. Someone self-unhooked so they consider it unfair and so tunneled them
8. One said they needed it for a challenge
9. One killer stated they disliked that there was a map offering
10. One said they saw medkits and didn’t want people to heal up so slugging was easier
11. One said they didn’t like someone using dead hard so went after them after that
12. Several said they felt survivors were being gen-rushed (in some matches this was at 4 gens)
It was like a roll call of things killers don’t like and I’ve seen it echoed at times in the forums. I’m not someone that wants to create drama so please do not consider this a killer bashing post.
I just find it very similar to the concept of a ‘survivor rulebook’. The fact that killers can tunnel and slug as a means of ‘punishment’ and remove agency from others in their toolkit is a little dismaying. My point is not to discredit killers or their motivations or the rights or wrongs of any play style or the above - but it seems there are two rule books. What exactly is considered inoffensive play for killers?
You might find this video funny. It is satire and covers rules similar to your experiences.

I feel the exact same way about the Moris. It could be me but I’m not seeing a lot of enthusiasm for the new Mori system.
I don't think there can ever be enthusiasm for such a system. It just seems so wrong, so…Un-DBD. Maybe it's just me, but I believe if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

Mori offerings no longer grant the ability to mori Survivors in the middle of a match, but Perks like Devour Hope or Rancor do still allow you to kill additional Survivors.
How exactly does this line up with the dev team's goals for Moris as a whole?
I get what you mean by you can still kill additional survivors, but neither one of those perks listed can almost guarantee a mori like green or ebony can in their current iteration. Devour Hope may or may not let you kill an additional survivor depending on if the surv team incapable of destroying the totem by the time you have 5 stacks. Rancor just seems kind of redundant without a change seeing as it's already an endgame perk with a major tell to your obsession that you are running it. Any vigilant obsession will know you are running Rancor and leave ASAP once the gates are powered so you are likely not to get the chance to mori them.

I’ll say remove her completely, give people who bought her a refund, rework her from the ground up (upgraded or a completely new power, fixed lore and tonally consistent cosmetics) and re-release her into the game.
Might as well do it instead of creating this fiasco.
Honestly, not the most insane idea ever. Just rip the bandaid off and get it over with. Send out compensation, open yourself up to the backlash, criticism, and all that comes with, put your PR team to work, and make a statement telling the community you are deeply sorry and that you will do better next time.

I don't understand why they are persistent in keeping this mechanic in the LO event. Gens already start at 30%, so as a killer you are being put in a position to punished for having to protect your objective from the start. If you're playing like me, you spend 1 charge at the start kicking the close gens next to you, and then are playing the game down a regression event for those gens. I've never seen the damn thing activate in 1v4, but in LO it's a different story and its directly tied to giving the gens a % headstart.

This question isn't directly in relation to the changes seen this patch, but rather seeking information on what hasn't been in any recent patch notes. Many of us Pig players have been wondering where her RBT has gone in lobby. The beartrap Amanda holds in lobby has been missing for many months now, coming up almost on a year. Many patch notes have passed with no fixes yet. This issue has been well documented, reported in the bug section, and we still have no word on any updates on if/when fixes are coming or any official acknowledgement. Is there any information you can share with us here or at least alleviate some of our concern on this pesky visual bug?
Here is a photo with it in her hand in lobby before and missing from her hand after.

After (Missing RBT):
Thank you for your time in advance if you do end up responding to this.

It's been alright for the most part. Dracula is very fun to play as in this game mode. I just creep around in the shadows using Wolf form and pounce on unsuspecting survs. I like the aesthetic of the candelabras. They did a good job on their design.

How it feels to let the last surv live after getting boops
-
Simple. AWOOO
Hot take but wolf form losing its hug tech changed nothing about it. The hug tech was a placebo effect, it was never needed for wolf form to perform well. Clever Drac players are unphased by the change and his entire kit feels so much smoother to use after the patch.
-
Dracula is in the perfect spot right now. His wolf form feels great. We summoned Awoonation on my stream just a bit ago with some nasty pounces. Honestly, didn't even need the hug tech, just a skilled hand. Bat and the rest of his kit are in the perfect spot. Transform feels great now and actually encourages a switch stance playstyle similar to Ullr (IYKYK). True to the title The Dark Lord. Best killer with the most refreshing gameplay they have released in a very long time. It's a breathe of fresh air.

When will they ever give us back her RBT?? Stop messing with Dracula Wolf form and fix our beloved Amanda!
-
I like using Coup sometimes just for wolf form. It's a fun perk. I usually use it in my flex slot in case I want to switch it out with something else.
Idk if i'd say slept on, cause it's definitely a good perk it's just not one that all killers benefit from. Y'know it's all about that min-max value bro
-
It's a strong map for killers imo. But truly, it's just another badly designed map that has its headaches on both sides. It needed more time in the oven to fully fleshout the ideas they wanted to implement.

I swear I get more escapes and loop better as Alucard too. And they feel super hard to catch. I had this chad Alucard in one of my Oni games (I'm a baby Oni and still learning to play him well for funsies; I was doing Killer/Perk shuffle for my birthday a few days ago to have fun) and he looped me so so well that I had to let the man have hatch.
I feel like Killers are nicer to Alucards, and I get amazing reactions from Draculas and Trevors too. It seems like Alucard has this aura of hero energy that just… it's just untouchable. Which makes me really regret because I'll eventually need an Alucard for my Ghostface Mori album and like… I can't kill this man. I just can't kill this man. He's too damn majestic, I feel actively bad doing it, it feels wrong.
Dhampyr and Vampires are simply the superior beings and should be respected as such. I can't explain it.
Also thank you @TheArbiter for warning me about that; I noticed that stalk bug in a Myers match I was in as Alucard and it weirded me out he could stare at me without being able to stalk. I'll need to be cautious about Alucard then especially since I main Ghostface and occasionally play as Myers too. Surely that's a bug, right?
You have better luck than I do with Dracs. I try to spin around and flaunt to them how majestic my cape is in hopes they will also flaunt their magnificent capes but they just smack me with m1. I don't think my message is translating well…Happy belated birthday!
-
My escape rate jumped to 100% as soon as I bought the skin. Now my new main surv as well. Trying to make it a thing that Alucard players are cracked loop gods.
I have now been convinced of the age old vampire superiority trope. All non-vamp survs are inferior beings.

i wonder how people can still play this game… it becomes boring af… allow me to explain better why:
- as survivor (solo) the game is almost unplayable due to randoms being EXTREMELY bad (or they are just trolling most of the times, especially when they are aganist a killer that they dislike)
- as survivor (premade) the game is extremely easy, without a real challenge to face
- survivor gameplay is boring (except being chased by the killer… pressing m1 on a gen for 90 seconds can't be defined funny in my book, not to mention that over time the devs completely erased the stealth aspect of the game… between aura reading perks, brighter maps, etc etc )
- as killer it's a mix between the previous points: solo survivors are relatively easy to beat most of the times (when you are aganist good solo survivors matches become a good challenge, but those matches are extremely rare), premades will screw you up badly, no matter what killer you take, you can't win aganist a 4 stack of people that are actually play for winning (too many 2nd chances perks paired with broken addons for their items and map offerings make the situation even worse), there's no middle ground
- they removed optimal gameplay (for the killers mostly due to anti camping stuff added, which mind you it could have been a good thing IF they also changed the survivor's objectives, but this wasn't the case…)
- they removed perk variety, especially from killers… everytime that i try to use different perks it always ends in the same way: i try to use different and funny builds/gameplays<survivors start mocking and acting like toxic brats cause they will won without much troubles<i get tired of their behavior<return to my "meta" build and tactics
- some nerfs/buffs were completely unnecessary/unwanted (from perks for killers/survivors to killer's powers)
overall this game isn't fun anymore for me… your thoughts?
I will spare you all the details, but I am in agreement. Simply put, not fun on either side for me either. Even the little things are starting to annoy me. Killers before like 2020 are left to rot in mediocrity while all the new killers are stacked to the brim with abilities and 3-pages of Yu-Gi-Oh card text effect for each ability. I was counting my blessings the other day that i'm not paid to play this game 24/7. I'd have unsubscribed from my lifetime subscription already.
-
You can't really go wrong picking either one on this one, so i'll go with SM simply because it's SM and no BD.
-
Looks fine to me
-
B-tier at least. A-tier with wolf hug tech. Add-ons are mediocre and range from situational to useless for the most part. The ones that do spice up his gameplay like the beast fang aren't really that stellar unless you are good with wolf form. Lapis acts like a pocket bamboozle in bat form, which is actually pretty nice and I've enjoyed that add-on the most.
Also after testing him on PC and PS, I consider him to be a better PC killer because idk about anyone else but to me switching forms is smoother and overall feels more natural to play Drac with M+KB. Console players may find using a controller to play him adds to his learning curve unnecessarily.

There is tons of good info out there and in this thread on how to counter flashlights.

Definitely asking to get slugged bringing that perk

I'd be down, but I don't think the fresh meat will last long in a game mode like that. That's a mode purely for the hardened OGs and masochists.

Yes, very sad about the maps. Wish they didn't decide to remove a lot of those atmospheric horror aspects like fog and DoF.

Because its awesome being able to have a ######### cape on surv??
Take it as it comes mate.
Alucard is superior to humans so why can't he just throw the gen at the killer? He can go bat form so why does he even need a gen to start with to escape?
It's not that serious.
