You somehow made this killer worse than he ever was.
4.6m speed feels good, but his throw rate and the 8 hits required to injure someone is so stupid. just go M1 at this point. you somehow made this killer worse to use. it's so easy to counter in high MMR matches. please revert his knives throw rate and make it requiring 6 hits to injure someone.

i hope. this was written before today's patch fix.

*anti-facecamp
Keeping the actual name of the feature in mind should help clearing all the misconceptions you may have about it.
this mechanic should promote proxy camping, but camping above basement is like "face-camping", other people can't really save you if the killer stands above and your meter bar is not filling. that match was painful to play, as there was no counter-play to that. one teammate had to die to save another one. lame gameplay by the killer.

I am from europe and i never Saw that 25/50% bp for playing Killer only 100% for playing on survivor to be honest ...😅
same here

Why are you trying to go for high mmr? At this point you're asking for the sweats.
never claimed i wanted to reach high MMR, i'm just complaining about how this game feels once you get there. it becomes a sweaty tryharding shitshow
-
@pseudechis said:
It really is a complete fallacy that BHVR want survivors or killers to quit the game.
Basically it sounds like you have peaked ability wise and have hit a wall. That's not BHVR's fault really.
I wish the MMR was more consistent too but if you aren't pressuring gens well or chasing efficiently you don't have to be at high MMR to get creamed by even slightly organised survivors.
I hit that wall too and it can feel like you have to eat a lot of losses to get back to manageable games, often only taking one or two wins to get back into the sweats.
You used to be able to just go for BBQ stacks and still walk away feeling accomplished but now you just have to eat a bunch of losses to reset things.
guess that's the only way...

@Rovend said:
This game could have 60min gens and killers would still rely on camping and tunneling
i disagree. if this game was better balanced, you wouldn't feel the urge to tunnel and camp, and 10 seconds BT basekit wouldn't be an issue in the first place. just admit this game is busted.
-
this game doesn't deserve a skill system, it's not competitive, it's not like CS GO or LoL. do you wanna win this game? play SWF with 2-3 people having common sense and you get a guaranteed victory. pathetic
-
i'm pretty sure i'm high MMR, i've 4000 hours in this game and played killer regulary since wesker release. after the disappointment of wesker, i started playing this game very less and less. i just reopened it today and i still get 5000-6000 hours profiles SWFs, tryharding the crap out of this game like their houses were at stake xD so yeah, i pretty figured out i'm high MMR.
-
even demogorgon feels more consistent, you can bait and zone survivor with his m2, even if you don't use it... at least feels more consistent.
-
i think everybody here is entirely missing the point of my post. i never said he's bad or else, but he's not good at loops since he takes too long to charge/recharge his power.
i'm okay with his new hitbox, but still doesn't feel consistent when you gotta use his power in loops, making you wanting to use just m1 instead and get looped and juked, wasting so much time... time that can be precious in high MMR...
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Yeah, there are a lot of situations where you just can't use your power for a number of reasons (long windup, fat object collision, too many chained tiles + objects), and then you get those situations where you can use it, but then there's too much open space and you get no value. Considering his dashes are the only aspect of his kit that actually matters (unless you're tunneling an infected survivor lmao) it's really underwhelming at times.
whilst i agree with your second point, i don't agree with the "he's fine the way it is" like other people say. he needs time to be mastered, but he's okay just in low/mid tier. he's unplayable in high MMR, just take a look to some best skilled killers on twitch, you'll see what i mean.
i already said he's ok, but not viable in high MMR, where people would just use blight or nurse to deal with skilled survivors.
-
@Shroompy said:
how do you know you're high mmr
i think it's easy enough to realize when you're facing high MMR players and low/mid tier players.

Wesker has a 1.5 second cooldown, during which he moves at 74.75% ~ 92% before quickly ramping back to 115%.
That's... honestly not bad. It's surprisingly useful when used correctly.
still useless in long loops, survivor can take much distance and vault again before you have enough time to reach them.

These sorts of demands are juvenile and unconstructive. You think BHVR is reading this, shaking and crying and ordering an immediate buff for weaker because you, you specifically are important enough a customer that they care about your refund?
Come on.
you see, the only reason i wrote "i'll demand for a refund" was to get their attention. do you really think you'd be here commenting and telling me this if i didn't write that? you'd be just avoiding my post and scroll down in the page.
guess you people took the bait/taunt.
-
@Milkymalk said:
Sorry, but what?
Wesker is in almost all aspects better than Huntress, one of the best killers in the game.
He has no ammo.
He throws himself and gets closer even if he misses.
He has great mobility and moves fast.
He doesn't give a speed buff to survivors he hits.
He vaults pallets.
He has a debuff that exposed survivors.
"he doesn't give a speed buff to survivor he hits" he does, after the animation ends, survivors get the boost
"he vaults pallets" and? he has a cooldown and goes slower... useless in a loop"
are we playing the same game? do you realize how long his cooldowns are?
-
as a killer main, nurse definitely needs a nerf, she's too broken and there is little counterplay against her once you master her.

Preach!!! I've been playing this game for 4+ years and as much as I hate to do it, I'm thinking about uninstalling the game indefinitely. SBMM has killed any fun I used to have playing killer. The game is so unbalanced for this system to work and survivors now dictate a match which should NEVER be a thing. I didn't play this game for as long as I have and dumped as much money into it, to be a competitive sweatlord for 95% of my matches. It just feels so damn bad.
couldn't find other words myself to describe my terrible killer experience! <3
-
@Triplehoo said:
is farming bloodpoints. No. Seriously. SBMMR has made my killer games completely miserable. I can admit the fact that I am below average killer. Then why the hell does the ranking system put me against red grade SWF's, who are obviously above my skill cap?
i made a post about this 2-3 days ago.
SBMM ruined killer experience, getting matched up against SWFs tryhards is really annoying and pathetic. killer mode became sweaty and frustrating rather than fun and fair.
-
@BrotherLove said:
You know what I too am fed up with killer. In fact I'm gonna not kill survivors out of my empath for my fellow Killer mains .... for a while.
we don't get much love from devs... why can't they understand this game is unbalanced for killers and survivors get always favorited in this game?
i get triggered as hell when on forums or instagram page, i read people typing "KiLlEr SiDeD GaMe!!111!!"
i mean, lol, you must be new or bad at the game to make such a statement.
-
@Thrax said:
no you aren't. everyone says it everyone comes back. we hate ######### ourselves playing this game and enjoy it
yeah... fair point.
-
@eloise said:
I share the same idea as you, I don't want to play killer anymore because too many toxic swf but when I play survivors I'm with a zero team, it's very frustrating.
this is the reason why i started maining killer, i'm tired of meeting bots on my team, but rn, even killer got frustrating, because i meet fully tryhard teams that pop gens at the speed of the light. i wish i could meet these people when playing survivor, but it never happens, lol.

Yup I feel you. been getting nothing but sweat fests every game. The other day was sent to Haddonfield 4 times in a row vs these death squads.
lol, same, but i got sent to coldwind like 7 times in a row, i think it was cowshed, which contains good long loops with safe pallets. that was frustrating as hell.
-
i'm glad some people in here could relate with my "outburst" and understand what i went through.
i still like DBD, i spent most of the time there when i'm bored, but you know, after a strenous day, all you want to do, is to open your favorite game and have some fun, but it gets sweaty and stressful and all that happens is you getting angrier and frustrated.
-
@EvilJoshy said:
Back 4 blood just came out. My usual crew are playing that instead of dbd. Were tired of the bs.
i'll try, thanks.

thinking they're good thanks to those meta crutch perks.

@Clevite said:
But that is the thing, isn't it? You know from solo q that ######### survivors are out there, and maybe the majority. But, you get decent at killer and you run into the opposite.
I think some of the problem is, as killers, we were so conditioned and used to getting 4ks. Now , or because of this, we are matched with really good survivors that know how to play. But in fairness, the expectation of constant 4ks should probably not be a thing, if we are to indeed balance the game.
I just go for 2ks, play less sweaty, and have fun with it. I don't want to sweat in a video game. I'll save that for when I am working out
i try to have fun, but i keep meeting tryhards with decisive, click clicking and teabagging and gets more frustrating.
-
LOL i just played survivor, my teammate lasted 10 secs in chase. i instant DCed and closed the game.
it's unacceptable to play 20 killer matches against tryhards but having teammates that last as much as my farts.
-
@jesterkind said:
There's no benefit to playing when these are the emotions doing so brings out, so I definitely recommend you take a break.
It became a meme for no reason, when whichever dev it was who said it was just completely correct: try survivor for a bit, or maybe play something else.
How about Civ?
CIV 5 is definitely better than killer mode rn... unbalanced as hell.
-
what's the point on closing the hatch if survivor can open the hatch in 3 seconds and you as killer can't even know it? you can't guard both hatch and exit gates in big maps. plus, if you put a 5 secs counter, this allows the killer to know, but you can't even get there that fast so it's not even that much if you think about it. you can leave hatch opening progression to 99% which is stupid as hell, it should reset.

@IWasLeft2Die said:
Banking would be terrible. Killers would dunk on survivors and it would be slugfest galore. Some killers would never be used as well. Id guarantee almost every game will have a spirit. I dont see it fun at all as survivors
i think there might be some restrictions, like forbidding to use 2 same killers. (an example)
-
guys i mean, if they made a 2 killer mode in Identity V, why not here? it looks like Behavior just doesn't want to put much effort on this, otherwise it could've been real.
-
what's the point of this post anyway?
-
he's trash regardless which platform u play him...
-
i got no problems actually. it looks smoother now to me.

He's bad but tbh I do want his perks....I mean they are not so good that I need them I can get along just fine without any of them, but I mean I am interested in Starstruck and the gate blocking one. I wanna run it with noed and blood warden and bitter murmur or something haha.
Star struck could be fun, I mean it counters body blocking if that kinda thing annoys you.
The killer however? I have literally no interest in at all. He is not fun to play, he is one of the weakest killers I've seen so far. He could be fun, if they had expanded more on actually the skill base bouncing knives and focused more on mechanics like that, but it's too late now they won't give him that level of attention at this stage in development.
So I will probably pass on this DLC and wait till the day his perks pop up in shrine.
Actually, this might be the first DLC I don't buy if I am being honest.
same for me, unless they buff him. i don't really dislike him, but in this state, you can't really use him in red ranks.
-
yes. bouncing should be base and not possible by an addon. this would make him more balanced.
-
better to laugh about this... i can't believe they always destroy smth in every update...
-
i just made a post about it now. they broke the hit validation again. so many wi-fi hits.
-
it happened the same to me right now.
i've skins, shards and bloodpoints, but they're all level 1 and i've no perks/offerings.
-
this is the stupidest post i've ever read since a while.
-
Thank you everyone for your answers, but i think you missed the whole point of my post.
yeah, nothing u can do against facecamping rather than complete gens and get the hell out of there, but why using a crutch perk like NOED on an one-shot killer? i mean, his chainsaw basically kills you already in one hit, what's the advantage on using such a noob perk to a strong killer?

They need to just start announcing the update a few days before so there is no need to speculate and hope and then get disappointed when 90 min prior, it's revealed no update. Other games offer weeks' notice about incoming DLC and updates. As soon as the 2/9 update is locked in, announce it. At the latest they will know one business day prior if the patch is certified for launch, according to another dev that revealed some insight on the Sony process.
agreed. it kinda sucks we have to rely on external sources like leaks websites rather than BHVR itself.
-
well, if this "one week delay" helps improving the update and removes further bugs, i'm okay with it.
-

I believe it will stilll be the same and forced on us to adapt to it.
If this is true, i hope at least they will give us an option to change back to the old HUD
i hope they made some tweaks for the animations as well.
-
i love how half of these guys commenting are entitled survivor mains...
-
They say "February 3rd", as we know, they always release updates 3 weeks after PTB, so i don't believe it got "delayed"
