Idk they don't do damage so I dont really count them

Seems like BHVR weren't the only ones that forgot about Plague.

  • To all those posting, I wouldn't try.

The OP is infamous for being either a troll or just wanting everything they slightly don't like to be nerfed.

Because they are incredibly entitled, biased, and don't care about anyone but themselves and their fun.

  • My name is a mixture of a few things, one of them being I just liked it.

Nomi is a combination of my first and middle names.

I have moved a lot, and that's where the Nomad comes from.

    So, NomiNomad.

Well, you're right but what I mean is, every killer does look creepy in their own ways, and if they don't, at least they look scary or disturbing. Trickster does fit the definition of a psycho in his lore, and his appereance is okay, it's just it doesn't really blend in like the other killers. The fact that he also doesn't have a map makes him look even more out of place.

    I mean...

Ghostface, Blight, and The Twins' didn't get maps either. Does that make them look out of place?

    Thank you.

At least yours made some attempts at trying to make it a fair match.

I think the biggest problem you have is just the Solo Queue issue. A lot of perks heavily punish Solo, not just BBQ. NOED is probably the biggest one in my own opinion. Solo Queue is just... A bad experience. A lot of it is due to matchmaking. Hopefully the MMR will fix that, but hey, I doubt that.

My honest advice is just play with your friends, if any play this game. Yeah, Killers get mad but really, just play how you want to play on both sides. Both sides get mad over the most petty things, so there is really no pleasing everyone. As long as your not toxic, I don't think much is wrong. Most killers seem to think ALL SWF are the sweaty kind, which is just not true.

  • This is a solo queue and matchmaking problem. If your getting survivors that don't know how to counter BBQ, that is not BBQ's fault.

BBQ is a perk that has over four counters. But, since you asked for advice, I'll give my best.

Depending on where the person was hooked, you can stealth away after the four seconds have passed. Depending on the map, this is either very easy or very hard, but again - Not BBQ's problem. Or just stick to the gen and loop the killer if they come to you. Depending on how many people are in range, and what the other survivors are doing, they might not even come for you.

Blight will use up all his tokens to get to you, so you know he can't use his power again for at least a bit. Loop him according to the Blight's skill. I've legitimately versed only one good Blight, so my experience is not very good, but sticking behind long wall loops and being safe seemed to counter him somewhat. A bad Blight is just an M1 killer with good mobility and a very punishing power of they use it wrong.

  • In the PTB he moves at 150% in cloak!

  • Imo, the Legion. They're by far the most bland, boring killers the game has ever gotten. Edgy teens with ######### masks and knives that run fast.

  • Well, NoobyGugget, it definitely seems decent. At least, compared to the last few patches. We of course won't know until it goes live, but just by looking at it, it seems bearable. Definitely a step up from the Twins. I haven't played it much, because the PTB just ######### explodes my computer for some reason.

    Wraith buff, good!

    Blight POV fix, good!

DS change, good or bad depending on your viewpoint!

The Trickster, better than the Twins' imo. Even if he's brought out a lot of screaming about "k-PoP bAd MaSkEd MaN gOoD!1!!". He seems really fun, but not too strong. Could probably use some buffs and changes to be more interactive on both sides.

The new perks are okay. Survivor's are worse than Killler's, but none of them are game-changing.

Yeah you're definitely right. He's something fresh and something definitely new, so that's probably why some people don't like him. I just wanted to say why I personally don't find him attractive (play wise and even look wise) enough to buy him. The killer cast is full of diverse personalities and characters so having a killer who's actually a psycho killer is nice, very nice. I just needed something little, maybe one small detail to like him enough. I also must add that not having a map related to this chapter is a big loss, that would also add way more personally to this killer.

The lack of new map is a huge loss, but I understand why. Despite what I've said, I'm not the biggest fan of his outfit. His overall design is fine, I just think it's just a tad too bright, but I do know a lot of people adore him already, so hey, whatever. I think he looks stupid-fun to play though, so I probably will get the chapter, even if he isn't going to be necessarily strong.

Yeah I didn't want to bring up licensed character cause you know...DBD didn't create them so I don't try to compare them with original DBD characters. But I agree and I see your point. Although he does not stand amongs the newer killers...Clows is like what...almost 3 years old? Legion 2 years? Huntress maybe evn 4 years? I mean, he's like a huge step back to me with anything exciting adding to the original dbd killer crew.

"He's just a guy who enjoys killing people so...we didn't decide to give him any original look, he's just a psychopath, done. "

That's just a poor excuse to me but once again, I understand your comment and I value it.

I was a bit iffy on bringing up the licensed characters too. The only one I am really adamant about including is Ghostface, since technically BHVR created that version. I also do get your standpoint. I'm just for diversity. I think Oni is the best-looking thing in the game, but I think characters like Trickster have a place in it too. A diverse cast is good, it prevents them from muddling together.

  • I don't know. They're both very similar in terms of why they kill. They might even be friends. Ghostface seems a little more clever and patient, Trickster seems more unhinged and arrogant. It depends on if Ghostie could sneak up on him.

  • @kucerka said:

I don't find many killers scary. Scary is a very subjective word. For example the Twins? Are they scary? Eh...they're gory, same with the Alchemist, he's not scary but his ripped off jaw makes him rather gory than scary.

I don't even mind his bright colors, there are many outfits which are brighter than barbie house and no one cares. The problem why some hate him is because the fact all previous killers were brought by the entity from the past makes him stand out. I remember myself thinking the same with the Plague...like "oh...but she's like from completely different century...it's weird" but then I realized entity can choose anyone from the past, present and future. And the Trickster feels like a modern or futuristic killer amd I like that. My personal problem though is his lack od...DBDishness...cause many killers have this special...I don't know how to say it...interesting twist. For example the Spirit's cut body parts - the way she was killed. Or the already mentioned Twins. So to me he looks very...Meh, like the Legion..basically a survivor with a mask and knife, how shocking and suprising look. I just don't get him...he's throwing knives because he was taught this skill as a kid? I mean...ok, what an excellent lore. He uses a bat with a sharp knive for what reason then? Just...make his special somehow.

There are plenty of killers that are lacking that "special" thing you claim. Huntress, Ghostface, Myers, Pig, Legion, and Clown are all just people wearing masks, or in the case of Clown, makeup. Lore wise, the killers that aren't messed with in the way you're talking about are the most sadistic. They enjoy what they do. Ghostface is a literal serial killer, same as Clown. The Trickster's unabashed humananity is his 'special' thing. Not every single killer needs to be masked or mutilated in some way. That would get insanely boring, and it's a very limited definition of horror.

  • He is a worse version of Plague, that moves slower. How does he have "no counterplay"? If you don't get hit long enough with a knife, you start to lose them. His counterplay is exactly the same as Plague and Huntress.

  • Not all the characters have to be disfigured or monstrous or masked. To me, that get's boring after a while. I love a lot of the original killers- Like Blight and Oni, but then there are some I think are way worse designed than Trickster. I can't stand Trapper's design. I think it makes him look goofy, and the only saving grace is his mask. Hillbilly is the same way. His permanent "O" face is stupid. I'm glad they tried something new like this, and I like the utter personality he brings. Do I personally like his design? From an outfit standpoint, no. I think he's just a tad too bright. I really like the fact that he's so human-looking though. That's real horror, to me. A person like Jin-Woon could exist. Fake monsters don't scare me. Real humans do, and Trickster is the closest thing to that we have.

From a power standpoint... You need to bring up Ghostface and Oni for having very similar powers to other killers. It's not just Trickster. I do wish his power could be more unique, but I also think it looks fun.

  • Lessen his fatigue.

Remove the harsh, harsh penalty for missing.

Get rid of him losing his power when he hits someone with a basic attack. That's all.

I was like you. I used to have an expansive rotation of killers, including the “mighty” Freddy (But I preferred old Freddy).

I don’t even really play him anymore either.

Hey, that's understandable. If you find something that just clicks with you, why not use it?

  • I'm the opposite. I main Wraith and Ghostface, two stealth killers, but I find myself wanting to play Oni and Blight more and more. Sometimes Doc and Bubba.

I've also really started liking Trapper, for some reason.

  • I mean it really depends on what Killer's you're talking about.

Nurse? In the right hands, yes. Spirit is pretty damn near the OP mark too.

Pretty much everyone else? A lot of them are incredibly annoying, (Lookin at you, Fredster) but not OP.

  • Just bash your head into the wall all game.

I'm sure the Survivor's will understand when they see a blight on Lery's.

  • That is an argument. Literally everything is subjective.

You said NO player would find him scary, based solely off the fact that YOU don't find him scary. I've already seen posts about people who find him scary. So I guess you're already proven wrong, right?

  • @Ivaldi said:

Except it is like every other killer?

    Trickster = Deathslinger & Plague 2.0

    Twins = M1 Killer & Portal-less Demogorgon

    Blight = Billy & Spirit 2.0

    Oni = Billy & Leatherface

    Ghostface = Myers & Pig

    Clown = Huntress & Freddy(Snares)

Deathslinger = Weaker Huntress with a smaller terror radius

I wasn't talking about his power. I never even mentioned his power.

I'm talking about how everyone is throwing a hissy fit over the design of the killer because he doesn't fit in, which again, I do not like that much, But Mr. Puddles, Robbie the Rabbit, Bunny Feng, the Bull Onesie for Deathslinger, all the Christmas skins, especially the ones that Dwight wears, the Legion's neon and Day of the Dead skins, the Krampus skin, the Minotaur do.

The whining about what he looks like is ridiculous.

  • Jesus Christ, the entitlement this community has.

How dare this killer not be the exact same as every other killer! Psychopaths aren't allowed to be conventionally attractive!

You realize if this person existed in real life, he would be terrifying right? But no, he's not mutilated or masked or a monster, so obviously, he can't be scary. You're allowed to dislike the killer. that's fine. I don't like his design either. I would prefer his color be more dull. But the whining this community does because the killer isn't conventionally scary is astounding and stupid. Of all the things to whine about, "I don't like the look of this killer" is such an idiotic one.

Not every killer in this game should be "masked/mutilated man/woman with weapon".

I'm not saying the game is going to die because of this, but come on. There's NO WAY ANY player of this game who thinks a guy in bloody flashy clothes is scary. Might as well be scared of P3 Nea...

    I guarantee someone does.

    Because horror.

    Is.

    Subjective.

  • @Smiler said:

I thought this was a horror game, how is this Asian Joker knock-off scary? I'm ok with trying with different kinds of horror, but this? I mean, you might as well put Mathieu Cote in the game and it would be scarier.

Horror is subjective. I personally don't find it scary either, but that doesn't mean someone else doesn't. I guarantee someone finds it scary.

Just because you or I don't like it, doesn't mean we can say the game is dying, or that they should be ashamed because they didn't put in what you or I would've wanted. That's not how it works.

  • That, I can understand.

There wouldn't be so much volume if people wouldn't argue about it though.

  • How dare the Dev's try to branch out? How dare they cater to more types of horror? I only want scary men with masks and knives, thank you very much!

They should be ashamed for trying different things, or catering to another part of their audience!

Jesus Christ. This reminds me of the Smash community whenever they get a character that isn't Western.

  • Yeah, because sexuality has never been part of Horror! Never ever, not once!

Blood Pact is a good perk.

Any perk that gives your teammates info to help them player is a good perk. Many of the problems solo survivors have would be alleviated if people learned to play with perks like Blood Pact, Aftercare and Better Together. They've learned to use Kindred, these other perks also deserve to be used. Maybe buffing them would do the trick; people didn't use Kindred until it got buffed.

I wouldn't mind the info perks being buffed at all, but I'm not sure how you could. Blood Pact is already map wide, same thing with After Care. I'm not too sure about Better Together.

You are right. I'm just mainly making this post after seeing all the changes to DS and killers whining it wasn't nerfed more.

I couldn't think of any good examples of survivors whining. Only times i encountered survivors complaints is against spirit and/or NOED.

(Which were also directed at me)

I've seen both sides whine a ton. On the first few pages of the forum, if it isn't discussing the new chapter and things associated with it, there's a good chance it's complaining about SWF, or any of the Killer's people don't like. Undying was nerfed (as it should've been) less than three months after the perk was released, and there was a ton of whining on the forums.

Both sides just don't want the other to have useful things. It's as simple as that. IMO, both DS and Undying should've been nerfed. Undying was nerfed, now DS is getting nerfed.

    I

  • The way they release their trailers is so inane. The Twins' got two trailers, for some reason. Blight didn't get his Trailer until like the day the chapter came out.

So I have no idea. We'll likely see the PTB tomorrow.

I can understand that I was just trying to show how it would fit if they ever did a chapter obviously the new chapter has nothing to do with FNAF.

Again, fair. I don't think it fits in as well as something like Friday the 13th, but I can admit the source material is dark.

  • That's true, you didn't mention the new chapter.

I am still very tired of seeing the words "FNAF" or "Springtrap" every time a new chapter comes out.

  • If I see one more post about FNAF, I'm gonna lose it.

If it gets in, it gets in. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

I don't care either way. I have no particularly strong feelings for, or against.

I'm just tired of seeing these discussions every single time a new chapter comes out.

At this point I don't want a FNaF chapter but not because I don't think it wouldn't fit, but out of spite.

    ^^^^

  • The most pain I've ever felt in this game is trying for adept Trapper. Waited until after Rank Reset, so it would be a little easier (This was a couple of weeks ago.)

    Got Midwich.

    Got Merciless anyways.

    Didn't get the achievement.

    pain.jpg

Yes, I'm aware someone escaped, but I still got Merciless, and I could've sworn I've gotten adepts even if someone survived, as long as I still got Merciless.

I just want Trapper adept, dammit.

  • I run Blood Pact a lot for this reason. I don't currently have DS on any of my survivor's, because I just don't level survivors up. I do have Blood Pact.

I actually kinda think Blood Pact is under-rated. I really enjoy the perk.

  • My personal favorite dumb build.

Wraith, Purple and Green Shadow Dance (or, alternatively, Purple Shadow-Dance and The Serpent.)

Brutal Strength, Fire Up, Bamboozle, and Enduring. If you want it to be a little more viable, you can replace Fire Up with Spirit Fury. I mean, it's not like you're gonna need the extra speed.

    I bow to no pallet.

  • I, as someone who plays killer more, wouldn't mind if it got buffed in its anti-tunnel capabilities. Something like slowing the timer while in chase or while slugged. My problems with DS were it punished killers for not actually tunneling, and against killers that are actually tunneling it sucks. Now as a full anti-tunnel perk, I'd be fine with it getting buffed in that regard. I'm sure there are plenty of people that disagree with me though. The deactiviating upon touching a gen is exactly what I wanted though, same with unhooking and totems.

  • Then explain to me how the heavy K-Pop themes fit with FNaF?

    https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1364968660360716294

Tell me how that relates to FNaF.

You're just giving yourself and others false hope.

  • @bubbabrotha said:

The reason i dont like it is because its just kind of a free pass.

The perk by itself is ok, but combined with lithe or quick and quiet its a little much.

Yeah, but that's the survivor delegating 3/4 of their build to something that has a 40-second cooldown for one perk, a perk with a 25-second cooldown, and a perk that has a 40-second cooldown, that only goes down if they aren't running. And two out of three perks they can't control when they activate. It's a meme build. Same as something like Deception + Head On + Q&Q

  • What.

    How could.

    What.

It activates for 3 seconds. And has a cool-down of 40 seconds. If anything it could use a buff. I love perks like this and Deception. It's very mindgamey.

By this logic, Deception should be nerfed too, right? It messed with Scratch Marks.

  • Having overly-long cooldowns seems to a common problem with mediocre perks.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Yeah they kinda teased PH with the number 4 on the anniversary logo but no actual trailers

I prefer non licensed anyway so I’m fine with this

I was actually someone who didn't pay a lot of attention to the anniversary at the time, but looking back on it, it seemed pretty obvious.

I prefer original too, I just noticed this pattern when everybody was talking about the last chapter teaser, with the Twins' and everyone thinking Until Dawn. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed this, just the first to make a post about it. And I could be totally wrong, but this has worked out for me so far.

  • That must be a mistake, then. Adiris is definitely referred to as a "she" in her lore.

When she was five years old, Adiris, the youngest of a family of seven, was left on the brick-red burning steps of the Temple of Purgation at the centre of Babylon. To process her shock and sorrow, she held onto the belief that the Gods had a plan for her. Her new life was one of quiet servitude. She would tend to the gardens, prepare ceremonial meals, and polish ceremonial incense burners. At night, she would pray for a sign that would reveal her purpose.

    https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Adiris

Don't get me wrong, I'd be completely fine with a non-binary character. But Plague is 100% a she, it's just a case of inconsistency for some reason.

  • I am 100% sure this chapter is original. I just posted a stupid long ass post about the easiest way to prove it.

Long story short, they don't give licenses teasers anymore, and when they did they had copyright mentioning "other holders". The last original teaser was the Pig's. Since then, they don't get them.

The new teaser only has copyright pertaining to BHVR. If it was teasing something licensed, they would likely have to mention the "other holders" once again.

It's not licensed, and it's certainly not FNaF. Korea and the style of the pictures they've shown us have nothing to do with Five Nights at Freddy's, or Resi Evil.

  • I just posted a long ass examination of ways to tell if a chapter is licensed or not.

TLDR; I'm pretty sure it's original because it has a teaser. Licensed chapters just don't get teasers anymore, not since Pig.

  • It's all just theorizing. Also "leaks", but I tend not to put to much trust in those.

The K-Pop seems pretty obvious though. From the outfit, focus on music, and korean lettering.

1 … 33 34 35 36 37 … 57
