Killers don’t struggle with bots in the regular mode. It’s not like bot AI is based on the Seal Team 6 SWFs you’re constantly facing.
Killers don't struggle with bots in the regular mode because regular mode has less target, smaller map, limited resources, more gens and much weaker perks for survivor while having much stronger perks for killers
2v8 mode is innately lot more survivor favored because developers are overestimating the strength of killer teamwork, bots who just do gens would absolutely wreck majority of killers

One way or another these matches as survivor are miserable and it's getting worse the more I play. I'd rather have bots as teammates, that's how bad it is. The 400% bonus isn't worth spit.
BHVR should actually pad this mode out with bots. I want to play killer, but the queue times are too much. Meanwhile, survivor has me wanting to recommend this mode never ever return. There's nothing BHVR can do to force people to play as a team, not even encouraging roles works.
2v8 with 7 bots would make killers extremely difficult to win for sure, they heal, do gens, and chase all with pretty decent efficiency, not wasting time

Dev really needs to fix the generators, I suppose

This is true…. but even solo as trapper, i've been pretty nasty… so this is just a partner to work with my traps… :D
5 seconds out of 8 survivors, not sure how much of a problem it is
Definitely far better than getting trapped for sure

You can get to the end of the page only playing one side. I finished all the survivor challenges and got the page reward before bothering with the killer ones.
For current tome yes, but anniversary tome had lot more currencies in both sides

Ultimately "just disable traps" still exists

As others have mentioned, the purpose of the incentive is to encourage people to play Survivor in 2v8 to help balance out the queues. Survivors are needed most in the 2v8 mode right now and by a pretty large margin, so that's where the incentive goes.
We aren't able to support different bonuses for each mode at the moment, so the incentives for the regular mode are currently disabled. We're looking to separate this so we can support the appropriate incentives for both modes in the future, but to manage expectations, I would not expect the regular mode to have an incentive as big as the limited time mode (or anywhere near 400% for that matter).
At least you guys learned the lesson and stop adding side specific challenges to the event tomes, right
Well at least I wish so

I don't think bad is the right word to use here. It's just solo vs comms again. The comparative performance reduction of solos is made drastically worse because there's too many objectives to accurately gauge what your teammates are doing, regardless of icons - or what you should be doing, when normally you can rely on your own game sense no matter what. It's way too easy for several survivors to group up unnecessarily or for everyone to assume someone else is getting that guy in a cage across the map, because there's just too much going on you don't know about.
If survivors are on comms, efficiency spikes and gens will fly unless the killers are playing an insanely tight game.
Not exactly sure about that, just spreading out and doing gens and rescuing someone nearby will generally nets pretty decent performance
-
The only reason 2v8 works in current state is only because survivors are absolutely bad, full stacked 8 player squad would absolutely demolish any killers

Unfortunately it is still somehow not enough to get them to play..
It's more of the killers having more "fun" content than anything problematic for survivors, basically those who played survivors exclusively due to friends can now play killers too
-
Without perks games would have died already because of boringness
But hooks are surely the real reason why tunneling or camping exists

Here too 400%. Killer wait over 15 minutes - and you need it for the challenges.
I have to say i got some very unfair situations.
I am not sure if i like it that much.
And it is heavily killer sided if the killers are decent and the survs are not.
I doubt that's how "sided" works in the game

The game mode isn't supposed to be balanced. At least not as balanced as the main game.
It's supposed to be a mode where everyone can just mess around with their friends. It's not supposed to be as competitive and not supposed to be taken as seriously.
The fun comes from the chaos
There is no "chaos" when the result is pretty much guaranteed, it's a same expected game every time
To make a game chaotic, it MUST be balanced to be unpredictable, unbalanced mess is so boring and predictable

This isn't a stretch, it's literally the devs own words:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/521124#Comment_521124
This applies to extended 3 genning, specifically when the killer isn't trying to hook anyone, but just holding gens until the game closes.
Except knight guards CAN injure people, which means you can't call him "purely for stalling the game", you can't differentiate the knight who is trying to make enough time for guards, and the knight who is just trying to stall the game
-
both is ultimately unreliable, carnifex pallet gang is still most reliable option

No, it's just that only good players play singularity

Seeing this combo more often now. Was okay with it until it began throwing most games out the window.
Swf can easily counter this but soloq is oblivious and even when they knw, it can be difficult to find everyones items in thick bush.
Weave Attunement should deactivate after a while as Bubba has add ons that drop items but don't reduces charges like Franklin's.
Still order of magnitude better than any other perks because at least you CAN counter the perk, unlike other perks that does not have any counter at all

Unfortunately, being without bias is probably not possible due to the way humans in general work. I don't mind if you're a Killer Main or a Survivor Main, bias doesn't bother me, it's the lack of empathy, that bothers me.
I've said this in the past and I'll say it again, this community absolutely insists on playing the game however you want regardless of how it makes others feel. And so that's what players did. And now people wonder why the community is so "us vs. them". We did this to ourselves.
You can't just stop caring about how other people feel and expect peace to exist. In any capacity, game or not.
Honestly, pvp games and empathy never matches in slightest, especially when it comes to what strategy to use

Survivors dont have any capability to control where totems spawn, and killers can snuff the totems the moment they hear any sound.
So yeah, pretty good comparison, especially since items are literally unlimited. Survivors have to pick them up, just like killers have to snuffKIllers has to snuff totems unlimited amount of times, the sound is extremely quiet and unreliable, the fact they can choose and will not lose any ability to boon it again already differentiate the changes
The amount of times survivor has to pick up is only once, items aren't unlimited IN A PLACE
a bad comparison without doubt

Just implement killer bots

I play both sides , and yeah I don't like get tunneled either. I enjoy reading the comments, but lately the comments ive been reading to me it sounds like the survivor mains just want to win every game . That not reality, I hate tunneling and camping , but it's part of the game. If a killer wants to take the time and tunnel and camp, then if you have good survivors they should make them pay by finishing up the gens. I don't like getting camped or tunneled but I would take one for the team if need be be. But what's really frustrates me is when that's happening to me, people aren't doing gens , so my death ends up being in vain.
If a survivor player want to make this bug a feature, they sure seems to want to win every game for free though
-
Even if they were to buff killers, I believe adding a more of weird tiles definitely isn't the way to balance the game
-
I believe implementing the reconnect feature is the way to go
-
Just instantly sacrifice everyone when there is no comeback, killer got a win, so just give them well deserved "victory" and call it the end
There is not a single reason to add a ridiculous basekit unbreakable in any way, removing time waste is enough to fix the problem
-
If you gonna buff boons to that much, finding them should be a lot easier
Currently sound que is extremely quiet and generally doesn't even reach the entire range
-
I don't understand what's the problem with 4 minutes really, it's not like most slugged survivors gonna go afk and put a crow for faster hooking anyway
-
Considering pretty much all the killers having 4.6 nowadays, I don't see the problem in buffing hag to 4.6

You can say I’m feeding into the ‘us vs them ‘ mentality if you want, that’s fine, but it’s just an observation.
Pretty sure it's just you being extremely biased towards survivor sides, most people with biased opinions tend to feel the place is biased towards something because they'll see a lot of opinion they don't like from relatively unbiased peoples

Because some of the killers around here are always going "hur dur, the only reason you're getting slugged is because no hooks are near by." Even though they have no idea what's actually happening in other people's matches.
Can you name few, because I haven't seen anyone stated hook depletion as "only reason", people repeatedly said you'll be slugged if you run to dead zones, but I haven't seen anyone saying "only reason"
Is it real or all your imagination

@Spirit_IsTheBest said:
The combo is very unhealthy, the problem is that the killer either has infinite aura reading on you, or you give them tons of slowdown by moving the item away when you could be doing generators.
People say to not bring items, but chances are that the other survivors will, and with the free aura reading randomly giving away your position, it’s like old Object, permanent aura reading, thats why the perk was nerfed in the first place, this combo should get changed as well.
You can move the item, but you get Oblivious in return for 30 seconds which is a decent amount of time for the killer to sneak up on you if he saw you near the item before you picked it up. So your basically getting punished for countering the perk in the first place, that right there is ridiculously strong in some scenarios.
In indoor maps, Weave will reveal survivor auras through floors, even if your below or above it, which is busted considering how indoor maps can feel like a maze at points, finding items to move them will feel like a chore.
Weave needs a full on rework, and Franklins shouldn’t drop items, but instead disables them on hit for a certain amount of time. (The Franklins change wasn’t my idea, but I’m using it here because I fully agree that change would be great, I forgot the name but credit to who came up with the idea).
I don't see anything unhealthy about that, as any other perks will also do similar things without any counter at all
-
BHVR definitely isn't trying to balance the game with those sounds in mind, I don't understand why they won't normalize it
-
Make deja vu basekit, there is no way game can be balanced when most survivors 3 gen by themselves

You don‘t have to keep them on your shoulder. Just carry them to the hook, drop them and keep face camping behind the slugged person. Depending on how close the slugged person is you can just stay behind them or you can go before them and the anti camp fills up very slowly. If the slug crawls away I can just bring him back to hook.
I know how it works and that can only be possible for like four times, the point is time it takes to slug away four times and time it takes to die due to hook timer

Overall this feature did more harm than good and made this game more boring in my eyes.
I've been saying since the weaker ptb nerfed reassurance into uselessness, that reassurance should be put back to it's ptb form.
The only reason it was changed was 'to prevent hostage situations' which required at least two survivors and the killer to work together to keep someone on hook.
That problem is 100% fixed by "press E to cancel reassurance". Revert it with that change and let people have a useful anti camp tool.
Cause let's be honest, reassurance being viable to combat camping is the real reason people wanted it nerfed in the first place.
If we are talking about the anti-camping, two reassurance can protect a survivor for two minutes, I believe those time is enough to basically guarantee a gate open even before the survivor dies

The anti face camp is so easy to abuse as killer. When you have a downed nearby it doesn‘t even fill up and you can just camp like before, but with the difference that your teammates won‘t do something, because they believe in the anti camp.
Then it turned face campers into proxy campers, which is far stronger and more difficult to counter than someone who face camps or it turned them into tunnelers.
Actual facecamping almost never happened, so there is not really a point why the feature was implemented in the first place.
Agree, I even liked it, because it gave the game some fresh air.
Overall this feature did more harm than good and made this game more boring in my eyes.
If they gave the anti camp to perks like reassurance as status effect it could have been decent and funny some.times
That's more like your teammates abusing mechanics to make killers facecamp hooked person, as they can just slug away from the hook

any survivor that has the perk combo got the aura read. - Easy as that. Idk, but I certainly would take wallhacks over any exhaustion perk.
I also usually play killer add-on less (I might have a hoarding issue…) but I'd still not consider it a viable suggestion.
You also forget that your "quick hop to the corner" only works if there's no gen or gate anywhere near that corner and that it's also telling the killer "hello, I'm in a deadzone now, collect your free hit". It's also not nearly as quick. And if survs don't magically agree on the same corner, killers still have aura read on a huge chunk of the map. - You also get one pretty central free read on the first surv you hit; that item is there and you'll always know if someone attempts to pick it up.
Luckily most killers aren't capable of hitting a survivor at the corner, even billy would have problem with that
Especially when there is no generators nearby, going into that is massive time waste
Huge chunk of many deadzone is hardly a problem, 12 meter range is pretty short anyways
All you need to do is pick up and drop if you want, it's definitely not a threatening perk, especially against killer as they don't have any of the incompetent teammates like survivors do, just pick addons, and drop if needed, that already counters entire perk slots of half
Also no, "any survivor" is bad because you can abuse that with SWF, it MUST be 8 perk slots, no exception
There is far too many situations where survivors can work for it too, there is no more than single killer and there is far too many things that can't be stopped, if it's in important position picking it up during hooking is never difficult, if it's not in important position ignoring it is never difficult, the problem is nonexistent

if you want to tell yourself that then fine, but that attitude is a massive part of the issue. I get this forum is massively killer sided, but you can’t just fix one side. Killers have been eating so well for the past 12 months and unfortunately the survivor side is suffering for it.
As a survivor main I see WAY more people eat the DC timer than do this since the bots came in anyway.
Sorry but if you feel this place is biased towards anything, that just shows you are extremely biased to the point you see everything else as "other sided"
It's literally a facts, if there is a easy method, people will use it, nothing complicated, nothing difficult, the word "if you want to tell yourself that then fine" is exactly the word that can be applied to you
The extremely biased attitude of you is certainly a problem for sure, because people like you will always try to protect any of the toxic behavior with absolute effort just like what you do here, only to change literally everything you don't like to your own will, those kind of act only makes community worse without doubt

Could be. I would argue most survivors aren't too great so the Knight is fine as is. Since we obviously don’t balance around good survivors. Otherwise killers with a lot of counter play like Slinger, Huntress and Larry would be getting more buffs.
Yeah, playing him itself really isn't problematic par se, you'd get wrecked by some SWFs but it's same for most other killers anyway
he feels mostly worse than old one to play due to excessive depletion and longer cooldown though…

Plague should lose her corrupt purge by any stun, no idea why it was only a bug, it should be an intended feature, I feel like her power is a lose-lose situation, you either stay broken all game, or give her one of the most powerful abilities in the game by cleansing, which is not fun to verse at all.
Chucky in my opinion is in an awkward position ever since his scamper was removed, I think it should return but increase the time to scamper by a lot more and add a delay window to hitting for 2 seconds afterwards, so the "free hit" aspect can be avoided easier. Increease his cooldown to 15 seconds in return.
Every killer power is a lose lose situation, plague is no different
