I have personally found there to be an increase in being slugged for the 4k... but I've been using Calm Spirit so not sure if it's because of UW necessarily lol

Survivors will use this to take their revenge upon her mains.
I have a feeling a lot will probably stop playing her once the easy wins/dopamine hits stop coming
-
Play whoever you want. I happen to like playing against Nurse so wouldn't be opposed to seeing more of them. I had 5 Xenos in a row earlier.

I was just thinking the match must be going terribly wrong for the killer for this to happen. Or survivors are playing the most selfish game and just let's everyone die and play for hatch.
In my case I happened to get matched with god loopers and killers who decide to commit to them. I never actively play to escape, even for a challenge. If it happens it's because I lucked out with strong team mates lol

do you happen do have it on video? I haven't ever seen it happen myself.
Unfortunately no. At the time I was focused on trying to get that gen done, the survivor had kindred and I could see the killer coming straight back to me so recording it didn't even cross my mind.

Every single radius in the game works this way, i doubt they will change it.
Secondly, you can say "another survivor in the radius blocks it" but it is not hard for the guy on hook to use coms to say "bar going up" or "bar going down get back a bit" to try and trick the killer into the radius. Again, it is a complex mechanic that SWF will abuse while not actually solving the problem of the person being hard camped and tunneled out of the game.
You still have yet to answer the question, will you have more fun getting facecamped with this mechanic? Will it actually solve your problem? Or will you still rage and DC anyway?
Lastly, there are so many better ways they can do this that are far simpler to implement, understand and actually address the problem.
Why not just make it work like PH cage? If killer is close to the hook, they teleport to a different one?
Or my always proposed favorite, tackle tunneling and camping in 1 go, make survivors share the 1st hook state. Now in order to tunnel or camp someone out, you need 6 hooks before you can kill someone.
I feel like it'd probably be easier for swfs on Midwich (a small map) to say "killer's on me, go for the unhook" than it is for a survivor to run the killer around a tiny radius for 40 seconds or a minute or however long a self unhook will take. The hooked survivor is better off healed and on a gen than trying to slowly manipulate an unhook timer without their buddy going down. But maybe that's just me.

Oof. I suppose it was an inevitable consequence of them announcing a rework. Anyone who uses her to 3-gen is probably going to get as many games as they can in during the next month.
I genuinely hope the rework turns her into a fun killer to play. They've been doing pretty well this year with killers that aren't her. Singularity is a solid design that's strong in the right hands, if a little on the easy side for countering. Xeno's just an all around strong killer with both high mobility and a good chase power (it's still good after the "nerf"). Maybe it's naive, but I think they could redeem SM.
On the flip side, I'm also seeing more MFT survivors when I play killer. I think any changes that got addressed in the AMA or teased directly are going to become abundant until the Midchapter patch drops.
Probably not a good idea though, getting in as many games before it changes. They'll bump themselves up to a higher MMR then probably struggle once the changes come in. Self sabotage.
-
I had this selected and couldn't get a single iri emblem. Unselected it and picked the 'avoid a basic hit' one, and my next 3 games I got the iri emblem 🫤
-
Calm Spirit doesn't counter Doctors whole kit. It stops the screaming only, it still applies madness. Likewise with Ultimate Weapon, it only stops the screaming but still applies blindness.
-
We knew a cooldown for missed attacks was coming, not sure why the dramatics
-
Cheers guys. I'm positive it was the same hook because there was 1 gen to go and I was going back and forth with the killer to it. So I got hit twice on the same gen by the same survivor. One survivor was already dead and the last hadn't been hooked yet.

There is little to no lockers on the map meaning they can barely apply pressure on the map or even travel far on it I feel like it should be implemented in the game that extra lockers spawn for Dredge that way they can travel and apply pressure more effectively. Mainly on very open maps such has Shelter woods or Rotten fields. You may ask "Well where should lockers be placed" simple just put some extra rocks or hay whatever the map as and just have it for lockers it's just so Dredge isn't weakened by those kinds of maps.
I think it's hard for them because what's good for one killer can be bad for another. They could add structures for additional lockers, but then ranged killers would be unhappy because there's more tiles and clutter for them to work around. I don't think it's possible for the devs to make every single map friendly for every single killer. I think stealth killers struggle as well on maps like Shelter Woods as survivors can usually spot them a mile away.

I would think that if something gets marked as "not a bug" 3 times, that BHVR clearly knew what they were doing when they marked it "not a bug". There's zero room for misinterpretation with the ticket descriptions. All 3 tickets were clearly worded.
Or they were all marked Not A Bug by the same person, who assumed it wasn't a bug but has since received confirmation that it is?
-
Sweet, here's to some (hopefully) more interesting games
-
They're probably the reason I still play this game. I don't throw games to get them done - most I can do naturally as I play, others I just take advantage of good opportunities. It doesn't bother me if it takes a few games (or several!) to get one challenge done. I don't feel like I play as much as alot of other people do and yet I always manage to get the Rift done by the time it closes, so I feel like it's really only as frustrating or debilitating as people make it. It can suck when other players clearly throw to get a challenge done but people throw for all manner of reasons these days.
-
I played three games last night. One was with a P100 Jake, who was just okay (he died first, wasn't tunnelled). Another was against a P100 Huntress, who was also just okay (ran her for over 2 gens and she left me alone for the rest of the match). I think people need to realize its been like 14 months since we got the ability to get to P100, and in that time we've had plenty of chances to invest bps (the 7th anniversary masquerade was nuts) and so we'll be seeing alot more P100s and most are just average players like all of us.
Edit: and I was just facecamped by a P100 Blight. That's all I need to say lol
-
I can't commit to a swf right now as I can't play at a set time for a set amount of time. Maybe once the kids are older. So solo it is.
-
The best suggestion I saw on this forum was to give her drones different abilities. So one can stay stationary, maybe another can attach to a survivor and follow them, etc.
-
I'm not opposed to the idea, but would I be putting myself at risk of being reported for working with the killer? Particularly if the exploiter is part of a duo or trio who then all proceed to report me in endgame so it's my word against theirs?

Why does everyone hate Skull? She’s my new favorite killer now. I don’t even have to 3 gen lock, and I still win. She’s the only defensive killer done correctly. I liked Knight, but he doesn’t even work anymore. Made For This lets players outrun all of his summons.
I think only survivor mains hate Skull. If you’re a killer main, or in the middle (Me), you wouldn’t hate her. Unless you’re in solo queue (Also me). Skull in solo is a nightmare. As potatoes and lemming hide all day. For those complaining about holding the game hostage. That’s part of the killer’s job. To keep you locked inside the match until they get you.
The devs have said that locking the game down for an hour is not an intended part of gameplay and is why Skull Merchant has an upcoming rework

I'm using Calm Spirit because of the all the screaming, including perks. Every game seems to have a screaming perk and I hate it, I can't use headphones anymore. CS is the only thing that helps.

You are quite literally by definition cheating, it's not intended to never get hit/downed. By using this bug you're gaining an unfair advantage and you're literally able to hold the game hostage if other survivor's do this. By all accounts, it's cheating.
The thread I was replying on was merged into this one by a mod, and the OP was asking if a third party program was being used. That was the context of my reply. They're not using a program.
-
It's been awhile since they made it possible, so I feel like it's natural to see more and more of them
-
Ngl, I'm feeling pretty fortunate. Been playing for over 3 hours today and haven't seen a single person do it. I'm glad people in my region just want to play normally.
-
Today it's a 10/10 because of the killer who went out of their way to make sure I got the Left 4 Dead achievement (they even shook their head at hatch - I had to open the exit). Thank you Cheezburger, you made my day.
-
It's the weekend there so they're unlikely to update everyone until tomorrow. While it sucks, it is only a game at the end of the day and there's no threat to life so I doubt they'll be coming in on their day off to fix this.

Gotcha. I will edit the post to add that I've heard it's an exploit cheat rather than third party software. Although I'm curious why none of the other players could do so. Perk combo? Or do we prefer not to say so it's not easily replicated?
Yeah, you need a specific item in order to do it. That might even be too much info but I won't elaborate 🤐😅

They're exploiting a bug, it's not a cheat program

It's not a buff or a nerf, you're trading one advantage (speed) for another (silence) and that can be a useful trade.
I've had many cases where I've been cleansing a hex totem, a survivor has run the killer near me, I'm entirely out of LoS, but the killer hears the bones and interrupts me.
Alternatively, I had a game today where a Plague had Devour Hope and I was the only one who bothered to look for it, and I found it sitting right out in the open on Borgos map. Of course she could see it easily from a distance, and of course Calm Spirit made it a PITA to try cleanse (I couldn't do it). The silence really didn't help me there.
-
Yeah it was definitely a nerf. You're getting punished for participating in gameplay by equipping it. For me though, I really really hate the screaming perks. My ears can't stand them, especially on top of the hook screams. Too much screaming. So I've been using it alot lately and while it's still mediocre, it's worth not having to deal with the screaming.
-
This is the first I've heard of this glitch. Makes me wonder about my game last night with a slugging killer. I jumped in the locker mid chase to force him to grab me as the game was dragging with being slugged, picked up, repeat. He stood outside the locker the whole time I was in it, and I thought we were having a stand off. Was it some sort of glitch?
Edit: I've looked it up, nothing to do with the glitch. It was just a stand off.

If they didn't count, you could just drop your MMR (my Wraith MMR is pretty negligible as I use him for tome stuff/let people go), get as many BP as you want off a weak group via hooks/chases/etc, then slug them all until death - repeat as desired.
Not counting slug deaths as kills would be hugely problematic, imo.
I mean have them considered null, like hatch escape is. So MMR doesn't move at all.
Edit: Peanits also said that MMR increases also depends on your opponents MMR. If you beat someone with a lower MMR then it doesn't affect yours because the game expected you to beat them. So purposely seeking out weaker opponents has no benefit either. The best increase comes from beating opponents with higher MMR

Fact is 4 good survivors in soloQ can win 80% of their games.
The problem comes from the matchmaking that mix ppl of highly different skill level.
In my games, i have survivors that do not do gens, really, they don't. Sometimes i finish 2 gens while they ahve barely touch a single one.
And most of all, those same survivors go down in 10 seconds against any killer...
2 months ago i did not have those players in my games and i was escaping a lot in soloQ.
In my today's game, there is always 2 gens left and i have done 2 or 3 out of the 3 that has been done... those devs honestly are really bringing DbD in the worst direction they can,
I'm wondering if it is on purpose, or because they do not care at all or if they honestly have no clue about it...
Yeah I've said before that I'm starting to think the poor matchmaking is intentional. They want killrates at around 60% and the matchmaking is just one aspect that helps that.
-
This topic has come up before, and I always assumed it didn't but apparently data mining confirms it does (someone informed me once). I've actually said that I think a good way to disincentivize slugging is to make bleed outs not count as kills/count towards MMR. Won't stop it obviously, but people might be less inclined to not care about people spending the game just laying on the floor if there was a disadvantage to them as well.
-
I faced a Xeno who ran bamboozle last night and... it was strangely effective. He was weird though, and kept leaving us slugged. Eventually I jumped into a locker during chase to force him to grab me, but instead he stood outside the locker the entire game. No joke. I waited in there until all gens were done and exit gate was open. He downed me when i exited but then let me wiggle off and leave lol one of the top 10 strangest games I've played.
-
I haven't seen any obvious ones personally. Had suspicions on a few but can't say for sure.

The whole "get over it" is something I mentioned in my original post. It doesn't work for everyone, and expecting people to just turn off their feelings is not helpful advice. Yeah, it's not a big deal, but it's when it happens constantly over and over that it starts to get to you. People are different, and calling them snowflakes for being annoyed at something you're not annoyed at is just inconsiderate.
I don't think it's about getting over it. But one thing I tell my kids is that they can't control how other people act, they can only control how they react to it. It'd be nice if you could reach out, flip a switch, and suddenly everyone were kind. But it unfortunately doesn't work that way - especially with the anonymity of the internet. You're never going to erase BMing from this game, so all you can do is work on not letting it bother you.

Yeah I had a read through earlier and was a bit disappointed. I thought they announced the AMA because they had lots of info they were keen to share. Possible people didn't ask the right questions but regardless, there wasn't really any revelations that we weren't already kind of expecting.

Well, it looks like the dream is dead folks. The wording is weird but it seems like BHVR is only interested in bringing back outfits that are Very Rare or above. Once again the wording is unclear, but this seems to suggest that the single piece rift and non Very Rare outfits will not be returning again.
Zarina's On The Move set is Very Rare I believe, so hopefully that means it's coming back. That top is my favourite, I have it on the Switch but I need it on the PS5. Shame what it means for everything else though.
-
My feelings towards the game constantly changes. If I had to answer once a week, it would range from anywhere from 1/10 to 10/10. At the moment I'd say my feelings are a 5/10.
-
I have about 1400 hours all up (Switch and PS5) and I'd consider myself intermediate. You'll naturally get better the more you play but I do feel the Switch can hold you back as the camera sensitivity is awful, even at 100%
