They are also connected by an older line of comics and a couple of games.
Yeah but for the purposes of DBD they're more likely to reference the events/lore of the movies over the comics or games.

I just wish more of them got cute lil tails like Blight 🥹

Thank you good sir

True.
Survivors can also gain those points by pickingup and healing one another. Im not quite sure what the scoring looks like on the survivor end as I dont vs many killers with this playstyle, but for killer it always factors it as survivors having a surplus score for the action of restoring a downed teammate and killer goes negative.
I honestly don't play against very many slugging killers, so can't say for sure, but I did play against a slugging Sadako on Lerys shortly after her rework and I spent majority of my time picking up downed team mates and I ended up depipping :/
-
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but unhooking is a pretty big component of survivor objectives. Helps with pipping, bp, certain dailies and challenges. So I guess hooking helps the people you are playing with.

You’re welcome and glad I could help and yeah forget to mention that the process is definitely a pain. It took me a long time to. But glad I could help. :)
I worked it out lol apparently doesn't work on mobile, so I've got the laptop out and it's finally progressing
-
That feels more like a Wesker thing than a Plaything thing. I honestly can't say I notice any more tunnelling when Plaything is in play. Weskers though are hit n miss with that tactic. They're up there with Wraith and Huntress with those I expect to tunnel.
-
They're both Disney, so makes sense

The recent cooldown change was all it needed. Best way to counter the tail attack is to fake windows and pallets drops. If they're right up your ass as you get to a pallet, run to the side and don't drop as they will always strike. Yeah, it's tough when it's an experienced player but the same could be said about any killer. Anyone who puts lots of hours into a certain killer can become formidable. Always have turrets set up too - this can be tough in solo queue. I usually spend a chunk of the game doing it myself.

Well I kind of know but also don't how to keep progress. The best I seen was going to this BHVR website https://account.bhvr.com/twitch-drops/dbd/ which allows you to connect your Behavior account with the platform you play on while also connecting to Twitch. Hope it helps and good luck cause I don't know if It will show up on consoles cause I've haven't checked my Ps4 account yet. But for Pc it seems to work on there but only if you resign into Twitch from my understanding.
Cheers. I set it all up the other day - honestly took me like an hour for the BHVR site to accept and link everything - but I'm not seeing any progress despite watching and having everything connected.

How do I check on item progress? Ta

That there is very sus, indeed. Even if it’s a remnant of the old prestige system, you’d still expect her to be at least p1
Thanks! Yeah I'm pretty sure she at the very least hacked the outfit. She didn't display any obvious hacks in game (which I was expecting considering her choice of cosmetic), and neither did the other two. I'm pretty sure they were a 3man swf, as they were really coordinated and kept taking hits and going down for each other.
-
Because she sells well. If you were in charge of putting out products for a company, I imagine that in the interests of keeping yourself employed you'd probably want to make sure your products are appealing and making money. It's common sense. I do think that they have definitely taken the feedback into consideration though, because less popular survivors are getting more and more cosmetics these days.

I just played on it again... there was a palletless jungle gym.
I didn't even know that could happen.
Probably a sign of things to come with future maps and reworks. I played on it again about an hour ago, and had to try run around obstacles as tight as I could because none of the gens i was working on had pallets nearby. Just random clutter. Didn't really do much when the killer is naturally faster than me and the only way to get out of the unsafe area was to take a hit.
-
After getting Alien, I'm positive it's Predator now. Both owned by Disney now, both connected to each other through those god awful AvP movies (sorry, just my opinion!)
-
I guess Overcome + Lucky Break + Quick and Quiet + Iron Will maybe? Or Overcome + Lucky Break + Bite the Bullet + Self Care? They help each other work more efficiently.
Get hit and use Overcome boost for distance and escaping chase, Lucky Break covers your tracks, Quick and Quiet hides if you vault and leave the tile or jump in a locker, IW covers your sounds.
Or, as above with Overcome and Lucky Break, then BTB with SC covers your sounds while you hide nearby as the killer searches.

If he is a cannibal with a few add-ons, he will see a survivor pull out of an underground hook, then turn on the chainsaw and get a second shot even if the survivor jumps out of a window.
Since even this level has not been properly verified, bhvr and some survivors who believe that AFC can contain Face Camp will be ridiculed as ignorant.
Oh no doubt. He did down Yui again shortly after her unhook. But, again, I'm not talking about the efficiency of the AFC anyway. I'm simply amused by a Basement Bubba (a meme in this game, really) adapting.
-
Yeah I wouldn't bother using it on Freddy lol he doesn't have a terror radius in the dream world, so UW won't work then, and most survivors don't bother getting out of their dream state because there's no point (Freddy still has a lullaby so you know when he's around).
-
"Actual threat"? What does that mean lol it's a game that loses any semblance of horror and scariness within a few weeks. I just want some bp and shards.
-
Zarina. Dunno why, I just like her and find her lore interesting I guess.

I can confirm the mechanic is flawed. I had a camping Myers yesterday who put me on a hook close the a hill, he camped on top of it and although he was inside of the 16m radius (thank you Kindred) the bar did not go up. The Game literally thought he needed to leave the hill the way he got onto it... But in reality he was maybe 10m away max.
The devs made changes because of maps with second stories. Looks like Myers found a nice loophole.
-
I love these threads lol
-
I played on it twice today using Windows of Opportunity, and the folks saying there's deadzones and very little pallets were correct. Had one game where a massive section of map had a single unsafe pallet. Even using Overcome there was nothing else to reach.

not sure if people read what was the feature about
"ANTI FACE CAMPING" not "kill all sort of ""camping"" but ok
This didnt had any effect on me except one game I was playing with sadako where I downed the unhooker before they got to the hooked person I reminded myself couldnt be around them the survivor just simply crawl towards the hooked survivor inestad since they knew I couldnt get close to them..
This feature will be weaponized for survivors I can already tell like endurance off the hook..
Yes, we all know it's facecamping. If you're referring to my post (since no one else has mentioned anything other than facecamping) I'm laughing at Bubba adapting to the basement hooks no longer being facecamp-able.
-
I'm dying 🤣 Bubba "camping" basement hook from a respectable distance. She (Yui) got unhooked just as I took the screenshot. At least I was able to get the random perk challenge done lol never change Bubs
-
I actually enjoy going against Nurse, personally. They break the monotony of normal chases. Yeah, an experienced Nurse will wipe the floor with you, and getting caught in an open space is pretty much ggs. But the majority of Nurse games I do find enjoyable.

When I changed platforms fully at end of last year, I left all my Halloween, Christmas, etc, stuff behind. So I havent had any of that stuff all year. And you know what? My gameplay was not affected in the slightest. If you miss out on something you want this year, I promise you, you will be absolutely fine until next year rolls around.
I want to add that I do understand the vulnerability of those who experience FOMO. But I just want to try and offer a different perspective. We aren't talking about food and shelter here - things we *need*. At the end of the day these are just cosmetics in a video game. I suffer from severe anxiety and I address this vulnerability in the best way i know how, because it's my responsibility to myself to do so. I go to therapy, I meditate, or I take meds if needed. It is my responsibility to manage my conditions, not anyone elses.
-
Alert. I love it, great info perk.
-
I say let them. Lots of killers can hold a 3 gen, but only SM could drag it out for an entire hour and bore the absolute ######### out of everyone. You can still make progress against a 3 genning Hux.
-
I just played a few survivor games and didn't even notice the mechanic. Killers hooked me and left. Same as usual.
-
Best option is maybe use this thread to gather advice on how to play against her? I wouldn't mind that either. I think she's essentially a new killer in that people need to take time to learn to play as her as well as against her.
-
Easiest option is to get rid of the middle gen/s first. Keep the ones on the outer map going. That's the best way to not shrink the map.

When they announced the Halloween event last week (?) it mentioned a new Halloween currency. Dark Trinkets if I recall correctly.

I won't be able to check them out until tomorrow. Are there any photos? Ta

Was the hook grab removal to do with facecamping? My understanding was that it was removed for the sake of the hooked person, who had to endure the annoying unhook 'dance' between their team mate and killer.

WoO was never a bad perk. It just wasn't something most people needed or wanted to give up one of their other perks for. If you asked people back then, why they didn't use it, most would have told you something among the lines of: "I know maps, so I don't need it."
But now WoO has a different use. It's a crutch for pretty much everyone who can follow simple directions. Run from tile to tile, pre drop pallets, that you can't loop around very well and repeat. You could be a complete beginner and still get the results of someone with 2k hours more experience. Meaning, it deletes a large part of the skill expression that goes into looping.
WoO also does pretty much the opposite of what many people argue, that it should do. If you rely on WoO then you don't learn maps. After all, why would you? You have a perk that makes this obsolete. My idea was to make it a perk, that would still be useful in chase and help you learn maps but would also require you to do some things right in order to really get value out of it.
If someone is using WoO to run from tile to tile, pre-dropping, then they're using the perk to the detriment of the team. Creating dead zones and wasting all the resources in one chase isn't something someone with 2k hours would do. At least I'd hope not.

If I am playing in SWF where I don't use voice comms, I don't know other people's builds half the time. And I quite frankly don't care. It's the fact that I am matches with 3 other people that are comparatively about as good as me, are willing to help and don't play selfishly, don't do challenges that are outright throwing or don't suicide on 1st hook is enough.
Basically all I really want is to be consistently matched with good soloQ teammates and that's it. That is enough to have enjoyable game as survivor. But you almost never ever get those. This is the main reason I never play soloQ. I won't play 10 games just so that I can have 1 normal game where the match is actually interesting (and I am not even saying that it's a match where I will win). I don't care that I get 3 free escapes (and 6 deaths where there's nothing you could have done) because thanks to matchmaking I got total potato killer from time to time - those matches are just as boring. I want games where killer decides to tunnel (which is perfectly normal these days), but my teammates don't shrug it off and actively try to do something about it instead of giving up on hook as soon as possible.
True that. I feel like the games where I do escape are unchallenging, because it's usually a far less experienced killer. I very very very rarely leave a game (dead or alive) and feel like I just faced a killer on the same level as me. It's a once in a blue moon thing. Nowadays my games seem to be 8/10 everyone dead with 4 gens to go because the killers absolutely steamrolled everyone, and 2/10 an escape of 3-4 survivors because the killer just couldn't keep up.
-
I'm honestly at the point of giving the game up. It should not be this hard to do an "open exit gate" daily. Especially for a measly 30k. It's times like this I agree with the sentiment that solo is unplayable, which I usually think is pure dramatics. I've accepted my low escape rate, I get that it's by design, but when things like dailies and tome challenges are the way you maintain interest and even then you can't get them done, you wonder what the point is.
-
The vast majority of people who play this game are not toxic, but the reason you don't (and won't) see more calling out of the toxic ones is because most survivors will move on to the next game once they've been sacrificed. Salty or toxic players are the ones who will wait until endgame chat just for the opportunity to be nasty. And there's not much you can do in game because they can report you for working with the killer if you intentionally sandbag them in some way while they're being toxic. I'll shake my head at them if I see them tbagging but I'm not sure what else I can do.
-
It's notoriously popular in the Asian region. Explains why you don't see it on Nightlight stats to the same extent - because people who don't speak English as a first language are unlikely to use that site. Swfs probably aren't as popular there, so more players simply playing for themselves.
-
Pennywise would be amazing but I dunno how they'd have convinced King to give them that license. He's pretty protective of his stuff afaik
-
From a business perspective that'd be pretty bad. We know they've tried reaching out to Netflix so they're clearly pretty hopeful to one day get the license again. If they do then they'd have let go of some decent potential profit by giving it all away previously.

From my experience Killers don't struggle near as much as they make it out to be.
That's my experience too. As a solo survivor main, I'd love to meet these people who get gens done. More often than not, games are over with multiple gens to go. I just last week came off a 20 game death streak, and it was only broken because the killer dropped me at hatch. People are free to "skill issue" me, that's fine, perhaps that's the case. But it goes both ways.
-
Hi, fellow solo queue player here. Expecting that you will likely die is the only way to play solo queue without disappointment. Find your own ways to enjoy yourself - do tome challenges, dailies, try for pips, etc. If you play solo purely to escape you will have a bad time. Solo queue is kill rates fodder.

Has anyone brought a mixed spread of Hatch at Shack/Hatch at Main? Does it actually split it evenly (or not even spawn at either)? Like say 2 Shack / 3 Main, is it a 40/60 split, or a 36/54/10 anywhere else?
Since it doesn't stack I'd say it's probably 50/50, even if there's more of one offering
