Yeah I was keen on it too, so disappointed as well

Here's the thing - they start working on chapters a lot longer in advance that it seems. If I recall correctly, they said they need at least 12 months per chapter development . So there's a good chance they had already signed the DnD license when they were still on the odds with Netflix/ST. There's a chance they did want ST chapter 2 with that particular Vecna, but with all things considered its pretty evident why going directly to the original source material was a reasonable option (or at the very least, alternative). As it stands, I think this chapter looks great.

If the opportunity presents itself then sure

I groaned out loud as soon as they mentioned the Finisher Mori. I knew it was too good to be true that it was done away with. But I know they'll likely be selling more and more special moris soon so they weren't gonna abandon it. I'm gonna have to try and not be part of the final 2 in a lost game anymore because this is absolutely gonna mean more slugging for that person. Especially if they're selling moris. People will want what they paid for and won't risk the last survivor getting hatch.
-
So I'm guessing Project T is why there's been no update to Backwater Swamp maps yet? Very interesting indeed

I dont think it is, because I suspect you replied to me in a different thread the other day but since my quote didn't show in your comment I didn't reply just in case

still haven’t gotten around to play any of these (and only watched Until Dawn and Quarry)
But yeah, Quarry had a promising beginning I think, interesting cast, the old lady with the tarot cards reminding of the therapist from Until Dawn while not feeling like a copy but then it was just… over? No climax, many characters were just there and nothing else.. it felt rushed. And thinking about the layoffs at Supermassive i don’t have the highest hopes for Frank
Glad it's not just me, I thought the same about The Quarry. Started off strong but struggled to hold my interest in the end. I kind of felt like they were trying to capture the same sort of Until Dawn vibe but it was overall a bit meh for me. I am hopeful for Frank Stone though.

For me, the sweats come out a few days before and a few days after reset. They'll calm down before the first week is out
-
Dunno about anyone else, but I'm excited for it. I'm not hyped up though cos I honestly know nothing about DnD lol so I dunno what to get hyped up for, I have no expectations.
-
Yessss as long as it's Switch > PS5. I have so much stuff on my Switch I need to share across 😭
-
Oh wow, must be a bug. Hopefully they can recover it. I'm glad now I spent all my bp this morning
-
Woohoo 😁
That was cool, thanks for sharing. Can't wait for the stream!

Survivor, but only if we can direct it at our team mates when they're hiding in the corner

The Jackal

It's funny, as a solo queue player the most aggravating challenges are the 'escape a trial' ones 🤣 I have to give them credit though, the recent challenges are alot better than the older ones. I changed platforms early 2023 and started going through them all again and it's been... something
-
Isn't the point of Ruin that the killer doesn't have to kick the gen? So yeah it makes sense those two perks won't work
-
"I personally feel like people want it nerfed because they assume it's why they lost a match"
It's because of this. They lose, they see the survivors are using Windows, rinse and repeat. Eventually they believe that's the reason. I agree though, I don't think it's a strong perk. I think it's just one of the better options among an increasingly dismal set of options. It simply shows you what's there. And Blindness counters it. I personally can't use it as all the auras make me feel overstimulated. I'm simply more conscious of my environment when I hop on a gen.
-
Devs have tested it in the past and realized pretty quick it wouldn't be a good idea. I would assume because as others have said, it's pretty easy to get chased away from the exit gate. Getting hit by static blast from Doctor, Trappers traps, etc. Not to mention endgame save attempts can be crazy fun, even if the result is more people dying.
-
I always do, but I've rarely had killers had come back to the hook so I'm happy to risk it. Tunnelling is fortunately not that prevalent in my games. And usually if the killer does come back they'll chase the unhooker. But it's easy to predict if the killer will come back - if no one is being shown as chased on the HUD, then the unhooked and unhooker are likely targets.
-
I guess they could revert the speed from 6% back down to its original 5% if you think that will make a difference. I'd like to keep the gen information part of the perk though. Maps are increasingly being made smaller through reworks, so gens are often spawning closer together.
-
Because people complain about genrushing, so I guess they're trying to get people to save their toolbox charges for elsewhere. If survivors have nothing else to do then they're just going to sit on gens.
-
Because the devs have stats that I would wager show Pain Res etc having a direct impact on kill rates and match outcomes. It's the only reason I can see as to why it seems to constantly be tweaked (this is like the third or fourth time it's been touched I believe?). I would wager WoOs impact is negligible.

Now that you mention it, no I don't think I have seen it in a while. I also haven't gotten Rotten Fields in like 2 months and no I'm not exaggerating.
I was just thinking to myself that it's been awhile since I saw Rotten Fields too. Both it and Wrecker's Yard are pretty basic, it'd be nice if they were getting a facelift

I had a game yesterday where I ran a Wesker for 5 gens. He wasn't a new Wesker either (P42) but the chase wouldn't have been so long if he would have tried to M1 me. He insisted on getting me only with his bound, and Ive always made it my mission against Wesker to avoid getting infected so i was just as stubborn. There was nothing aggressive about it though, it was actually fun and good natured. There were a couple of times he flubbed a bound due to the environment and we both stopped and he just looked down and shook his head at himself. He caught and hooked me just after the last gen popped and didn't hang around or hit me on hook, I don't think he cared about winning, he just had his own personal goal. He just went after someone else and I was able to get unhooked and leave.
-
Because that's what the playerbase seems to ask for repeatedly. Nerfs to the perks they see too often. What they fail to realize is that the same standard will be held across the board. If you just play killer and complain that x- survivor perk is used too much and it needs a nerf, then you can bet that any frequently used killer perks will also be on the chopping block. And vice versa. It started with the survivor meta perk nerfs of update 6.1 and now here we are. It's like that meme where that guy shoots someone and then asks "why would (person/organisation/etc) do this?"
I'd love to see the playerbase come together and suggest to the devs how to improve on bad perks, but it's just constantly "nerf this!" instead

Sure. But once every 4 months or so is way too slow. Also, kicking the only crutches those killers have out from under them in the meantime isn't helping. So the weaker killers should deal with being even worse till when they are able to eventually get around to it?
They've said numerous times they have limited bandwidth per update. That's why it can seem slow.
-
They should have put the Broken status on a timer. Even if it's for 5 minutes or something. Because you're right - it pretty much puts you out of the count for every other aspect of gameplay
-
Every time killers get changes I see people claiming that some sort of unpleasant behaviour will now increase. I never see it.
-
It took like a year between me signing up for the newsletter to actually getting my first one. I just suddenly got one and since then I've been getting them

Have to agree here.
Nobody NEEDS to run pop and pain res. Im playing without them on Pig and Sadako for months and i perform absolutely fine. Not just these two. Plague, Nemesis, Singularity, Xeno and Legion have also worked out absolutely fine so far.
People are just tooo afraid to go out of their comfort zone.
If slowdown doesnt help you, maybe take aura and chase? Natural slowdown does exist.
"People are just tooo afraid to go out of their comfort zone"
This is exactly what it is. I purposely change up my builds every now and then so I don't get too dependent on any one perk. I have constantly come across perks where I'm like 'wow, I cant give this one up' But I always do, and it's always fine. I think some people just use the same perk/s for so long and they've convinced themselves of something that's not true. People don't give their game sense enough credit.
-
Hiding prestiges has been a common request for awhile. It would help cut down on both killer and survivor lobby dodging and prevent people being targeted just because they opt not to spread their bp around. BHVR have kind of been weighing up the idea and did some testing around it, but we haven't had an update yet

It is a downside against SOME killers, like broken for the entire match against m1 killers is meh since you can just loop them till dbd 2 is released. For example broken against plague or legion is literally a non issue, against instadown killers is amazing if you are a dh user, but it is a huge detriment against good killer, the likes of oni, blight and nurse will punish you very hard for it.
However I think people are seeing it wrong, as if you do it at the start of the match, if I were to use it I would use it when few gens remain, that way the killers slowdown becomes more useless in the later match rather than stronger which is what happens when the match is advancing.
Late game is when resources are lower, so chases tend to be alot shorter, and your time becomes the most valuable. If there's only a few gens left it'd be better to sit on a gen for 60s than in the basement imo. Especially if you're down to 3 team mates, which you usually are by late game.

Man I watched about 30s of that and instant headache. Good luck to anyone who wants to play like that.

That's why the gen kick limit was introduced. You will outrepair any killer that tries to do that.
That's what I said wasn't it? Kicks are counted as regression events I believe, which is what the person I was replying to was talking about (re base gen changes)

I bought this outfit for Kate today expecting a banner and badge but only got a banner.
Is there some official way to know which cosmetics unlock badges and banners?

I use these guides 😊 and that Kate outfit only comes with a banner as far as I know

People need to understand that feedback comes with a side of *be careful what you wish for.* The standards you want applied to one side will also be applied to the other. If you want the survivor meta tackled, you can bet the killer meta will be on the line too. If people want their stuff left alone then leave other people's stuff alone. It's why I've been saying repeatedly that we should be asking for improvements to bad perks, not just filling the forum with "nerf this, and this!"
People already talking about survivors gen rushing because regression perks took a slight hit, yet in the same vein people want every other decent survivor perk that keeps them off gens nerfed. Be careful what you wish for. That applies across the board.

They already compensated for these by limiting the number of times a gen could be regressed though
That was more because maps are increasingly spawning gens like this and many killers didn't want to leave the triangle
-
It's still not for me, but at the very least hopefully people won't get trolled by team mates for using it now. They'll probably get joined if anything

I saw this one content creator (won’t mention his name but you probably know who it is) happy that they removed endurance from buckle up but mad that they gave it 150 speed. Called the devs survivor mains because they nerfed an aspect of the perk but buffed it in another way. Without the 150 the perk would legit do nothing useful.
as for the update im glad wesker got nerfed, i wish background player kept the 40 second cooldown. The rest seems fineI feel like one thing some people seem to miss is if they make decent survivor perks useless, then survivors will just fall back on gen perks because they, once again, will become the most efficient option. Then the genrush complaints (which I've noticed have died down quite alot over the last several months) will start again. The fact that they've nerfed a few survivor perks but still left them in an appealing and usable state tells me the devs know this. Completely killing a perk isn't the way. And I'm sure the content creator you are talking about knows this, because I'm positive I know who it is and he knows his audience very well. He just says what they want to hear.
-
Not gonna lie, I kind of grew to like it after the last update. It was just something different. But i get that the red was an odd design choice considering scratch marks, so this is the better option ultimately. I'm looking forward to playing on it.
-
The popularity of BGP and BU+FTP shows that plenty of players don't want to just be tied to gens. The devs are reducing the effectiveness of these perks and combos while still making them appealing. These perk updates started in 6.0 because people were complaining about the lack of variety in perks they were facing, so the devs are just doing what the playerbase asked for. Most people dont realize though that their side will be hit too, not just the other side.
-
I think it's fine. Can be tricky but nothing wrong with a bit of challenge. MS isn't that hard once you get the hang of it but the only way you'll get the hang of it is if you face it enough.
