When I first started playing I was told it was "the camp dance", but I don't see many people using it that way anymore. Most seem to struggle as a means of showing impatience

If a game ever starts affecting your health then best thing for you is to absolutely cut it off. I'm not a naturally competitive person, which is probably why I enjoy DBD so much, but I also know if I've had a crap day or am in a bad mood that DBD is unlikely to make me feel better. So I don't play. I have my comfort games and DBD isn't one of them lol

It was probably a good 6 months ago now, but I remember a streamer (played both killer and survivor) blaming the post-game 'Entity Displeased' thing as for why he gets anxiety over not getting more kills. He said he thinks if they removed that whole 'you sucked' implication at the end, then he'd feel better about getting outplayed or not getting many kills. I thought that was an interesting perspective, personally.

I have a fear of clowns but was actually okay with Clown. Wraith used to legit scare me, I'd pretty much go into a state of anxiety when I'd hear it was him at the start of the match. I never DC'd but it was damn close in the beginning. The more I played against him though, the easier it got. And now I'm actually pretty much okay. Still a bit on edge but I can handle it and play well.
If I was still reacting badly then I'd probably just accept that maybe the game wasn't for me. But a bit of exposure therapy did me well so lol

It doesnt bother me. I can tell when I'm matched with people more skilled or less skilled than I without having to even see their grades. So whether the grades remain or go, doesn't matter to me. At this point I feel like they're little more than a personal achievement since they're separate to MMR.

Nurse for sure. Spirit too, to a degree. I preferred facing Spirit before her nerf last year.

Sinister really freaky film and Ethan hawke is an interesting choice for a horror protag
Was going to suggest Sinister! I'm more of an old school horror fan but I really really enjoyed it

I don't know if it counts but Windows of Opportunity is insanely good.
I watched a streamer use WoO with Open-Handed and it was pretty much just constant knowledge of where the killer was. You'd see a pallet fall and then disappear, as a survivor dropped it and killer destroyed it.

Tbh I kind of figured if we ever got a vampire it'd be Dracula

I don't use CoH so it doesn't affect me regardless, but I think it's still an absolute asset for coordinated swfs. Solo queuers might not bring it as much now though unless part of an altruistic build. Self care is 32 seconds, CoH will now be 21 seconds plus the additional time to find a totem and then bless it in the first place. But if another survivor, or two, help heal you then it's still super fast. It's definitely a nerf but not as bad as lots of people are saying. Swfs will 100% still bring it and coordinate heals/resets.

People calling this a dead perk now are either disingenuous or very short sighted. One perk that gives the benefits of multiple perks while freeing up SWF teammates to run other perks.
1. Full team self care in a designated area of the map - very strong on its own.
2. 50% healing bonus in a designated area of the map - very strong on its own.
3. No need for a healing kit, tgus allowing you to either double up the healing speed with a kit or bring something else.
4. Whole party can see the totem
5. Can be relit as long as a totem exists.
This perk is still very strong. Anyone saying otherwise is just not being honest.
I agree, I think the issue is too many people are misunderstanding the nerf. They think it's 50% of healing speed (ie. Self Care) instead of the 50% *bonus* to healing speed it actually is. If blessing the totem time is added, then overall for the perk holder it's the equivalent to SC, but they're forgetting that multiple people can heal multiple times under said perk. It's still good imo (though full disclosure, I don't even run CoH)

And Elmer Fudd gets off hunting a comedic duck, and cross-dressing Rabbit.
Doesn't change the fact that my 9 year old loves the franchise because it's all over children's YouTube, and the toy aisle at Toy's R Us / Walmart. The game was clearly released for an older teen / young adult audience, and is now being SOLD to children.
My kids love the games and have heaps of the FNAF toys and teddies, and play the pop songs constantly on my Spotify. They're 5 and 7. I do agree kids are a target audience for the game.

Yes, SC is 50% less speed and CoH is 50% bonus speed
-
I'm seeing lots of comparisons to self care, but isn't self care 50% *less* speed while CoH is now 50% *bonus* speed? So it should still be faster than self care

I've always assumed it's mostly because evenings are when people get home from work and hop online to play with their friends

"He wasn't running," meanwhile the whole darn place was lit up like a Christmas tree with those scratches

Lerys and Midwich

Friday the 13th would be a dream for me. Jason, a Camp Crystal Lake map... I know there was the F13 game already but it was no DBD obviously. I can see Pennywise being a possibility, and my guilty pleasure would be Alien / The Xenomorph.

I play solo too, it definitely can be rough. Sometimes it feels like the real killers I'm playing against are my team mates.
-
Nurse is my favourite to go against. It used to be Spirit but she's not as challenging as she used to be since her nerf. I can hold my own against an average nurse, but a skilled nurse can be difficult. Best way to learn how to counter her isn't by throwing a game though. It's simply practice.
My least favourites to go against are Deathslinger and Trickster, because I still struggle with dodging their attacks. I see going against them as a good opportunity to learn.
-
Their post says they've banned it because people keep bringing up his views and obviously arguments are breaking out and they don't have time to moderate them all. It's not specifically due to his views, it's because of the redditors fighting amongst themselves and creating too much hassle for mods.
-
It's not that they expect every match to end that way, it's just an average they use when observing whether a killer needs to be buffed or nerfed. If stats show one particular killer averages 3k 1e overall then they will look at ways to nerf them a bit. If another killer averages 1k 3e overall then that killer needs a buff. That's just a very basic summary though.
-
I get Deathslinger quite a bit, which sucks because he's my least favourite to go against. Hag and Legion every now and then, not often. I feel like I see Pyramid Head and Nemesis the most lately.

I'll hold on in case someone grabs me before I die (they usually do) but then I just play the game to my benefit. Just hit the objectives and get as much bp as I can. I don't really pay attention to the other survivors after that, i figure if they don't wanna be team players then I won't either. Kindred is always a part of my build so they can see what's going on, and that's probably why this situation thankfully doesn't happen often to me. No excuse really when it does though
