lol, how is it easier without ruin, interrupts rarely work, and now auras are fugged. Sure, you can't get rid of exhaustion while running, but that was a fix they said. They also said that the infinite loops they changed were broken, and were fixed. The new loops aren't much weaker than the former, it's just that you can actually catch a survivor if you decide to chase them around the loop for 2 minutes.
Auras is a "bug" and that affects everyone, survivors and killers, so no point in that. Interrupts are a big fck up from the dedicated servers, but its way better than the old "Killer host" version of things. And Ruin as of right now its okay, old ruin only slowed bad survivors and often was dead on the first minute of the game because every single survivors was looking for it. It was good to give you some time in the early part of the game, wich you can now use Corrupt Intervention for, its like the same effect considering how often ruin used to stay in a game.
But what he means its how infinite used to be. There used to be places where not a single killer was able to catch a survivor. Thats why Nurse became a thing. In the really old days, Shack used to have 2 windows and 1 Door. Yes, it was impossible to get someone there. Survivors were able to destroy every single hook on the map, only basement hooks were impossible to break. Vault speed from the killers was so slow that you will never ever wanted to do that. Bloodlust was not a thing, and the only reason that bloodlust came into place was because of how infinites worked in the old days. Windows were always open no matter how much you vault them. Every building was an infinite with 2 windows (you can even see the blocked windows today, those used to be permant open), and every tile had 2 pallets instead of 1 as it is today. So all those unsafe palles that you see more often now, was not a thing in the old days.
The game is not very balanced because of how rng maps works, but its way more killer friendly than in the old days. Waaaaaaaay more killer friendly.

Green bunny can be bought with shard, so maybe you should buy the Ballerina one with Cells and the GBunny with shards. I personally love the Ballerina one and the PBunny its super cute. Not a big fan of green.

To be fair, if you crouch and its full of traps she will probably be back in time to smack you anyway thats why flashlight are so important and useful agaisnt a hag. A lot of new players will probably just run because they dont know how it works, so yeah its hard to blame someone when they really dont know that they are supossed to crouch to avoid the trigger. At the same time Hag is really unpopular, making it harder for new players to understand her as they rarely face her.

Plot twist: This is not a new bug, just a feature at this point.

You dont get anything from competitive games for reaching rank 1 either. And if you think this is casual, then you need to fix your idea of what casual means. This is competitive. Pvp games are all competitive games because it's a competition between 1 killer and 4 survivors. And if it wasnt so competitive then majority of the players wouldnt be so damn toxic. It needs more strick rules for abandoning a match. You cant just escape a match in order to win either. You have to do specific things to gain rank as well. Its seriously needs to be addressed. And having a 15 min penalty will deter majority of players from DCing. Not all but most. Especially since when you DC, by the time you get to the main menu, your penalty is already up so it's like there is no penalty besides pip loss. Make them more severe and less people will do it. I played killer once and 3 people DC'ed as soon as I knocked them down first time. That's not fun at all and should be addressed. I also solo queued right after I got my switch version and 2 people DC'ed. It needs to be more severe
Thats not how it works. Competitive games are not any kind of PvP game, its meant for those games that actually have a professional scene, reason why being a higher rank in those game actually mean something, that is aiming to a professional level (Just take a look at all those other highly competitive games). And this game doesnt have that because of how the balance of the game is (especially because of the maps). Even tournaments for this game are a joke, a fun and entertaining joke, but a joke nonetheless. They cant even work properly without some weird rules because of how poorly the game is for a competitive scene. Humans are "toxic" everywhere, doesnt matter if the game is competitive or not, thats not even a reason to be toxic.
That aside the higher penaltys can be abused, and they are off right now because of how the system works. Adding more time to it will make no improvement at all, people will not stop quiting and people who quit or get a unfair dc penalty will just end up leaving. You dont need to restrict people from playing, you need to add more quality of life improvements. Punishment often end up doing the opossite of what they aim for, instead of preventing people from DC they will just leave the game.

Yeah thats true.

No, I do play them both and I think they are both strong, I said Freddy is strong and easy to play, Nurse is strong and hard to play. But you are saying that Nurse is weak because of that chart.... Like are you for real? Im not wasting more of my time with you lol

Interrupts are a mess.
If I want to interrupt, it fails

If I want to swing and attack, it instead tries to interrupt way too late
https://gameclips.io/Nos37/b83db0fe-a9c2-44f2-a5de-889099cfbb5e
Are these framerate issues, Mhz refresh issues, latency issues?
Can interrupt have its own function and button, separate from attacking?
How about using the vault button (Space Bar, Right Bumper, R2)?
It's not like we can vault through a window at the same time as a Survivor, or break a pallet while a Survivor is vaulting it.
You cant grab healthy survivors during vault, at least the first clip wasnt going to be a grab. But as far as I know they said that they are going to fix it, that they know there is some fps issues.

More penaltys is not something that will prevent people from disconecting, and in the best scenario people will end up finding a way to abuse the penalty system as they have done already, reason why they turn it off (again).
This is by the most part a casual game, and when people dont want to play this game for X reason they do one of this, they quit and play another match or leave and go do something else. Rank system in this game is irrelevant, you get to rank 1, and thats it. You dont find better players, you dont get anything at all, you literally just played the game a lot in a short period of time (1 Month), and thats great but nothing important. Reason why people will not stop dcing just because they will depip and also the reason why they are reworking the entire ranked system.
To make it worse, some people will want to depip on purpose. In the old days people wanted to depip because in the red ranks they were less players, longer queue times and nobody wanted to wait 10 minutes for a game, so they depiped or tryied to stay on the green-purple ranks to find matches. So instead of preventing ppl from quitting, you might actually incentive them to do so.
-
I dont think you understand that "Red ranks" doesnt mean anything at all in this game. Thats why they are making so many changes to the matchmaking and a lot of players who make it to red ranks dont make it playing Nurse, and that chart will even show you that most players probably got up there playing Spirit or Billy, and then Freddy or Huntress. But okay, lets go with it. We agree on the fact that Freddy is easy to play, there is no need to speak more of that, there is also the fact that Freddy is a strong killer, but not an unfair one. As far as I can tell you think he is unfair and want him nerfed, you dont want to make him harder to play, you just want to nerf him. I said that the Nurse is the strongest killer in the game, and that chart doesnt reflect that, just to give you an idea that the chart is useless without proper context and information, and for some reason you think that chart goes against the idea that nurse have a higher learning curve than Freddy, and in fact does the opposite. The chart shows that in red ranks the easiest killer to play and because of that same reason the most consistent one is Freddy, then Billy and then Spirit, and then Hag. Players from the red ranks dont necessarily play nurse, like there is no way to know how many red ranks players actually know how to play nurse, but still you can have an idea because of how much the killrate from nurse jumps from every player to red ranks that the most competent players perform way better with her, and the new players struggle really hard with her, making the whole point of the "Learning curve" more clear. While at the same time Freddy stays in a good spot in both scenarios because he is in fact easy to play, he doesnt have a huge learning curve and he doesnt need that.
But that chart doesnt say that he is the strongest killer in the game and needs to be nerfed because of that. It doesnt even tell you what is problematic about the Spirit for example, or why the Nurse needed some changes (and even to this day she needs some changes). That chart says nothing about why those killers are there in the first place, it just tell you that they are there. And to get some reasons you need to understand the game itself, the changes, and the context in wich this was done.
So, with that in mind lets look at the context. Nurse at that time got a rework, main reason why (they actually did that chart and) her stats are lower that the rest of the killers from 72% to 65% this chart comes from the chapter 3.3.0 updated in October, Freddy was reworked on July patch 3.1.0. Since then the only changed made to him has been the "Oblivious status effect". This means that at that time Nurse changes made a huge impact on how she was performing, but at the same it doesnt show how Freddy changes impacted on his own charts during all that time. The reason why this is important is because we dont know how well or poorly he was doing at the moment of his own rework and how players adapted during that time, to this day there is no chart that allows us to compare the adaptation from players to Freddy rework. To extend this you have to take into consideration all the perks changes made during that time, and to this day to figure out how much impact they have on killers kill rate.
To make this short: Freddy is strong and easy. Yes. Freddy is not unfair to play against, and there is other more problematic killers like Spirit and Nurse.

That's dumb, you just got bad Freddys, here some official info:
To be fair, that info is useless without knowledge about the game. Its super old and a lot has change since then, and at the same time you are not considering the learning curve for those killers. Nurse is the lowest because is the hardest, so the only nurse having succes are the good nurses, but everybody has acces to nurse, making all that info to spread between a few good players and a lot of bad players. Freddy without a doubt is a strong and easy killer, for the most part having some mid level of skill will allow you to win most matches (consider 2k as a win), but that doesnt make him unfair or anything like that, he is easy, but why is that a problem? You cant have every killer to have a huge learning curve as the nurse, because there is nowhere to start as a new player, thats the main reason that trapper is and will always be the most popular killer where almost everyone starts, he is easy to play (Yes, there is some learning curve and adaptation a long the way, but its not huge) does that makes trapper and unfair killer? No.
So the problem here is not that he is "easy" to play, your problem is that he is a bit too opressive, and the truth is that he is not that big of a deal. In my opinion he is really boring to play against, because of how the "dream world" works, that realm doesnt add enough to the game to be an interesting killer.
-
This idea is not terrible, but it totally changes the game. At this point its just not even something to consider. It just a dream of a really different Dbd game. Consider that the game is "balanced" around that fact. Andits also one of the reasons that make people purchase licensed killers, is another incentive to put money on the game. And nobody wants to stop you from buying more stuff right?

Did you buy it on steam? You can ask for a refund if you played less than 2 hours. If not, you can sell your copy. If you want to play as a coordinated team, you should try to make some friends and play with them. Maybe this was not a game for you, and thats okay. Most players who are "selfish" are really new or dont understand the game that much, thats sadly were you started. You will not see that much veterans players who will gladly die just to help you out until much later, and at that poin ppl just play to have fun and laugh at stupid stuff.
The truth is that this game is rough, and really hard to get if you dont have some friends to play with or at least to help you understand some of the elements that the game has. Is not as killer sided as you might think, but sometimes its hard to see because the learning curve of this game is weird.
Good luck out there
-
As far as I know the kind of make a huge mistake, they did this:
1.- Changes for Billy and Bubba into the PTB
2.- Ppl didnt like those changes so new changes were coming
3.- They make new changes after the PTB. So the Live version was going to be different
4.- Forgot to implement those changes in the Live and instead pushed the first PTB versions for some weird reason.
So what we have really bad addons, that say one thing and do another "more nerfed" thing. That is the case with multiple addons including both iris. Lopro Chains says that after you break a pallet and go through you will get only 1 health state chainsaw for like the next 2s or something, but instead what it does is perma 1 health state chainsaw, making it worse than the speed limiter. The brick says that he will become undetectable after 2s but instead works only after 5s, making it almost useless because that amount of time is just too much to actually gain value out of it.
-
Thats why a lot of survivors just wait at one gate, so when the killer kick the hatch they manage to finish the gate in time to escape.
-
Tenacity its really not that great, because most killer will just pick you up right after you get downed, so its not worth the choice if you will never see it work most of the time. Its not bad, its just very situational compared to other perks that are way better.
Stake out its very meh, but will help if you are new or struggle a bit with skillchecks in general, or really just want to make them easier.
And the reason Detective Hunch is not used, its because there is no need to take a perk that works only after a gen when you can bring yourself an item that can do that everytime that you want. If you really want to take out totems, you are way better position by just taking a map with you. Dont get me wrong, you can use it so you can bring another item with it, but why.
-
There is a bug thanks to the last patch that breaks the match, you will get disconnected despite not doing anything, you will get your BP and everything including items, but will get a Dc penalty. Its not the killer that Dced either, its really just the game breaking. This happened to me more than 4 times in the last 2 days, everytime playing as killer or survivor the game will end, will give me everything, bp, pips, items, addons, etc, and a Dc penalty despite not quiting the game.
-
The killer is taking the game hostage. Why? Because he is trapping the survivors in a spot to prevent them from actually playing the game. This is the same as when the killer traps one survivor in a corner. The rest can do the gens but he is still taking the game hostage against one survivor who is unable to do anything about it. This was also the case with the basement stairs a long time ago.
To be honest I dont know why the make that room, its just dumb to create that type of dead ends in a game like this one.
-
Considering what you have I will probably run something like this. Im telling you that im not that much of a fan of some of this perks, but they will do the trick to slow the game down a bit, give you better chase potential and enough information. This build its decent if you manage to get out of T1 soon and manage to get some downs early, if you dont the game will become a lot harder.
1.- Save the best for last
2.- BBQ & Chilli / Whispers (As of right now, considering how hard the auras are to see I personally prefer Whispers)
3.- Pop goes the weasel
4.- Monitor & Abuse
Other perks that you might want to consider in the future if you keep playing:
Corrupt Intervention and Infectious Fright (Plague) - Surveillance (Pig) - Thrilling Tremors (Ghostface). Surveillance is great with other perk that you already have "Hex: Ruin" but its has some downside to it, so go on and try as many build as you like. Always switch your perks for something new or interesting that you want to do.
-
No, its okay, a lot of ppl dont prestige at all because it really does nothing for you beside some blood splatered basic skin. And because a lot of players picked up the game in free weekends (increasing temporal population) or buy the game and not played that much because its repetitive or grindy as hell. So yeah, like 10% its actually a lot of players to reach that amount of prestige, considering that you must rank to at least 40 all those character that you dont play but want the perks.

Myers its okay. He is a solid killer, not an amazing one, just a solid one. And that works wonders in my experience. Clown its the one killer that really needs a rework, he is super weak and super boring for both sides, every pallet or windows play the same with him, and to top all of that he can really give some headache to some people thanks to those amazing visual effects. I really dont understand why he hasnt been touched at all.

It doesn't matter if you believe it. What matters is if it happened. Videos in the past have shown that this is very possible. It doesn't matter if the Killer is good or bad. If the Survivors refuse to make an effort toward escaping the trial and are forcing the Killer to spend a super long time looking for them, that is reportable.
With 3 poorly placed generators left, and 2 survivors remaining, the action that is the most likely to lead to your own escape is to hide until the other survivor goes down, and the hatch opens up. This is a type of prisoner's dilemma where showing yourself to the killer only benefits the killer 100% of the time, and in most instances the other survivor as well. The only other rational play is to purposely show yourself to the killer in order to actively lead him to the other survivor's hiding place.
I am yet to see a single link to a developer's statement or their quote in this thread that clearly states that using stealth in a 3gen- 2srv situation for as long as necessary is in fact illegal. In the above situation clearly one of them was able to escape, so this strategy was not pointless. No one walked away from the keyboard, no one held the game hostage.
In fact the developers have already put a fix into DBD: the crows eventually start circling above your head and making distinct noises to give away your location if you don't actively work on an objective for a set span of time.
Crows appear when you are staying still too long, or not moving enough. If you walk the entire map for example you will never get crows. So no, crows is not something for that. Some survivors who are new* I will probably understand why they think this might be the right thing to do, but its not. The right thing to do is to actually try to engage the killer with you, so the other survivors have a chance to get the gens, or at least you try to open the window for the other survivors to do something.
Leading the killer to other survivors its the worst you can do, for yourself, for your team and for the game, because now the killers know where both survivors are at the same time. And no, nobody say something about ilegal, we are saying that doing nothing for the rest of the match in order to prevent the match to end in one way or another is reportable and a bannable offense.

I believe I was very polite in explaining my viewpoint. You don't have to attempt to offend me if you disagree. Watch your language please. You need to learn difference between "facts" and "opinions" before you make blanket statements.
Dude, take a break, everyone here is telling you what the Devs have stated about this aspect of the game. You dont want to believe in any of us, thats okay, but at least go check for yourself all the streams and FAQ until you get your answer. But stop pretending to be a "fact" person, because you have not stated a single one. You are just saying "you are wrong because what i think is different than that" at the same time that we are telling you "This is what the Devs have said"

Incorrect. It doesn't specify that camping refers to killer only. Camping is camping.
Holding game hostage means that game can't end without a DC, for example if you body blocked last survivor. Camping game can end by one of the sides completing the objective.
Not doing objective refers to AFK. They obviously were not AFK or he would find them with crows.
They are doing objective. Surviving as long as possible is one of the objectives. You even get BPs for that in survival category.
Im sorry but you must be pretty new around here. Devs literally have explained what they mean by those elements n a lot of streams and FAQ, etc. And what they have stated is what this guy described is a bannable offense. Holding the game hostage doesnt mean the game cant end without a DC, what it means its that a side of the game is preventing the game for progessing in a normal way, so, if survivors go all the game hiding without doing any gens, that is holding the game hostage even if you can find them after a while, the fact that they are not trying to do anything to progress the game is a bannable offense. The same goes for a killer who takes a survivor agaisnt the corner for a whole match or in the old times where killers where able to trap survivors in the basement stairs for hours.
About the "Afk" part, afk means away from the keyboard, so that only means that a player is doing nothing, literally nothing at all, and with that survivors will get crows to allow the killer to take them out, but if the killers goes afk the survivors can do the gens and leave. And that category is different from taking the game hostage.
The survival category is mostly about escaping the match, plus some bonus objectives like escaping the killer grasp. That is part of the emblem system and its one of the objective of the survivors, but in order to get that objective they have to get the gens done. So, not doing gens at all, means that you are not trying to get this category at all.
As far as I can tell you are a survivor who likes to hide, and thats okay, one thing its to hide and another is to do nothing but hide. You need to see that difference, because if a killer cant find survivors but they are doing gens, thats a killer problem. But if the survivors are only hiding after 10-15-20-25-30 minutes of gameplay without doing anything else that is a bannable offense.
-

Here is the link to make it easier for you: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

Incorrect. Camping in basement is not reportable. Here is the list.
THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT CONSIDERED BANNABLE OFFENSES - PLEASE DO NOT REPORT
- Camping
- Slugging
- Tunneling
- Streamsniping
- Teabagging
- Bodyblocking
- Looping
The "Camping" refers to the killers actions, to be specific when a Killer hooks someone and just stay there to prevent others from unhooking can be in the basement or not. Not doing the objective for more than 15 minutes its considered bannable offense. If a killers keep a survivor in a corner just to prevent them from playing the game or the survivors just hide the entire game without even trying to do a gen or saves, both scenarios are the same as taking the game hostage and can be reported.
-

Is it holding a game hostage if you play hide and seek only. Not doing gens and just hiding from the killer till he/she finds you?
You can play like that in KYF if you want, you can make all the rules there. But in a normal game if you are doing nothing for the game to progress yeah, thats holding the game hostage.
-
I have it and I dont use it. Its terrible and everyone can see you from a mile away. The only reason to have it in the first place its because it was going to be a unique thing. If they want to give it to everyone, sure go ahead. I just hope thay add it to the new characters and maybe even as an accesory instead of a base skin. So you can actually use it with good skins. Nothing to do with being survivor sided at all!
It's locked in because when you search for a match that's when the matchmaking happens, so if you queue with your strongest killer for example and then decide to change to another killer whilst in the lobby you are going to struggle...that would also be abused the other way around - you'd queue on your weaker killer and be matched with survivors of that skill level, then switch up to one of your stronger killers in the lobby.
The difference for survivors that there's no difference between characters in the same way there is for killers.
The problem here is that the new matchmaking is based on the idea of "predicting" a game result based on the killer that your are playing, the game is unable to take into account simple factors like your in-game time for a matchmaking so how its going to be able to tell a difference between multiple in-game factors (1.5k hrs players going with 20hrs players, really fun). I dont get this new match lock it just hurt the game in general, and the matchmaking its already suffering from this. I usted to play with rank 1-4 killers and survivors while in that rank, now im seeing some weird 12-5 rank killers as a survivor and 10-1 rank suvivors as a killer and its not because of swf.

They are challenge, and they usually mess up hard so its fun to outplay them

Are you talking about the animation when you succesfully self-unhook? Did that get changed?
(cause i just played a match and didn't see a diffrence to the "self-unhooking" animation)
When you attempt and fail at it the character will "jiggle" around
-
I dont think Yui, Zarina, Steve, Nancy or Adam to be "bad designed" but of course people will be more interested in the killers because they are the game changer considering they have unique "items". People will always appreciate the survivors and be interested a lot more in what the killer does because survivors are just a cosmetic choice + some perks.
Quentin is probably the only survivor who is poorly done. Im very happy with the design of everyone else, they are unique, they are for the most part well executed and you can always choose the one survivor you enjoy the most and only level up the rest for the perks. If you dont like how some characters looks thats fine.
-
No. This was a thing in the old days and it was removed because of the fact that you get an idea of how the match is going to be before you even play it. So no more skipping games based on the ranks of the survivors and no more choosing the survivors you want to play against.
PS: They didnt fix the matchmaking that much during all this time, so you can actually see why this is an "important feature" for better or worse.

I tried this multipletimes it is in fact only the big buildings in the game, such as the houses on Haddonfield (from the second floor), Ormond Resort (second floor), The asylum (2nd floor) and so on. You can probably figure all the rest, but the hills and the tractors doesnt work.
To make a it a bit clear a small drop would be those like side stairs (where you can trigger balance landing) a medium fall like the hills and tractors and the high falls such as almost all the 2nd floors.

Except adding a delay to his ADS is going to make him even worse than he already is. So what if he can quickscope? Its not like he can instant down you without any effort. He's a 110% Killer because his power was consider too strong to have base movement speed, not to mention alot of his actions with the gun cost him time and speed. Good survivors can constantly break line of sight using his movement speed against him too, so he actually NEEDS this nearly instant ADS speed if he wants a chance to hit anything.
On a side note, have you actually tried to quickscope with the Deathslinger? It's not as easy as it looks, considering you have to account for survivor movement, which can be incredibly erratic. Not to mention the hook's tiny hitbox....
I think is pretty easy to aim with him, and thats why I think he needs a little delay to aim in, but whatever
-
He needs to have a little delay on the aim, I dont think he is op but the fact that you can just aim in and out without any delay is just dumb.

Consider this as a concept: When an exit gate is open give all survivors exposed status for 30 seconds. This can offer some room for counterplay and at the same time allows you to get those pesky survivors who 99's the gates and can be combined with something like Blood Warden.
Or something like this: At the start of the game one of the gates will be cursed, when the exit gates are opened the cursed gate will get blocked for 30 seconds. I dont know, im just putting some ideas out.

Pay to win??? ahahahaha.... Win more Blood Points is pay to win... so put killers OP that you cant get it with the "money of the game" the only way to get it is paying, this is not pay to win?? LoL. Also all the time that they put in a envent x2 in blood points its pay to win too... Sorry to tell you but your proposal doesn't make sense...

The "best killers" are not pay to win, you can literally get them with Shards. Nurse - Hillbilly - Huntress - Spirit are super solid. The reason they cant put the other killers with shards is because of the companys behind them, they need to get the money back in exchange for they characters being used on the game. And the events are not pay 2 win because u dont pay them, they are literally free events.
I dont know what you are talking about but you dont know about what pay 2 win means. You are asking for a chance to pay money to get progress (saying that's not pay to win) and then when you are called about that you say that bloodpoints event are pay to win (????)

To be honest, since the archives I just play to get them done fast, I choose only those that I will get done no matter what, and when something happens in a game I always choose the mission even if it means getting me killed or anybody else. So to be fair the real issue is that Archives quest are not good, they promote a very specific way to play (that sometimes it feels fun and other times is a boring fest) instead of asking for you to play the game, enjoy it and get a reward.
It would be a lot better if they follow the same concept of normal daily quest, they usually ask for you to do something for a while, and can do it in one match or in a lot of matches depending on you, wich is a lot better for a gameplay perspective than get this done in one match or finish 5 matches.

People always want new free stuff when a new update comes. Be happy the game is beeing updates holy #########...Im not asking for "Free Stuff", I use some examples like the old bloodweb system. Iim asking for something that tells me that investing 1000 hours more than a player is worth of something. Someone say everyone starts at 0, yeah but Im not starting at 0, Im at 1000 hours of gameplay, I just think that getting down to level 1 like someone who has 0 hours of gameplay is just unfair and it shows me that my time is worth nothing on the game.
I dont care about what they give, I care about the value that my time means for the game.
