Easily Legion's. It's so vicious and it feels like a back and forth between killer and survivor. Really nice.

Only a tunneler will find there is no counter to DS + Unbreakable. Why did you go back to the hook and slugged them?
This the perfect hypocrisy of "I'm enjoying all my overpowered stuff to give me free easy wins but the other side can't have anything because I am supposed to be the power role"
Oh, so high level players like OhTofu, Scott Jund, Otzdarva, Tru3Talent, Monto, Umbra and many more are nothing but filthy tunnelers because they have issues with DS/Unbreakable? Pretty sure it's nothing more than a meme at this point that someone can unironically say that if you have a problem with DS you're just a tunneler.

Guy, we use DH, DS and UB because of campers/tunnelers/sluggers
Slugging is a perfectly fine tactic and it's completely unrealistic to ask a Killer who wants to win the game not to slug, especially in high ranks. Campers are rare, since they are all just white rank console killers. Tunnelers are also quite rare, and DS is in no way shape or form an anti-tunneling perk

as ds and unbreakable can only be used once its better to just eat the ds
If it's one person, then YES! If it's 4 people running smoll PP build, then no. It's not just a 5 second stun, It's a 5 second stun, then a 25 second head start, then more looping. There's still 3 people doing gens, and their time is less valuable than yours as a Killer. 1 DS can turn the tide of a game, but it's kind of avoidable. 4 and Unbreakable paired with each is damn near unwinnable if the survivors have half a brain.
-
Technically speaking, it IS an exploit, because you are abusing the lack of collision the Killer has when vaulting, but as far as I know, it's not bannable and the devs are OK with it.

I'd agree except for the "whenever you're unhooked" part. It's fine as a one time get out of jail free, still very strong. (Oh, and maybe drop the haste to 7 seconds, then it's a double m1-boost)
The idea of killing the timer when you take a progressive action, or the killer commits to another player is about as perfect as I think we're gonna get, and I hope that's the direction new eventually go.
Oh, you misunderstand. You get to punish the killer EVERY TIME THEY TUNNEL. The haste is kind of an afterthought, but that is a nice idea

Without the timer that survivor can still get in a chase and is impossible to pick up and hook.
You already see SWF sweat squads with designated loopers; this will only make that problem worse.
THAT'S THE POINT. I don't want someone to be punished for BEING tunneled because they are just too good at the video game. If 1 person is not doing gens, IGNORE THEM. Not hard. It's not like kidnapping Victor where it disables the killer's power indefinitely. It's the survivor's choice to be useless all game or to turn off your DS. I don't think you are understanding here. A survivor who is not pressuring gens has no reason to be chased. If I'm a killer, and I see someone trying to get my attention, but I know they might still have DS up, then I just ignore them. Either they do gens, or they are essentially still on the hook.

Yes, but you also aren't progressing the game, and the killer has no reason to chase you. If you aren't doing gens, not healing, and not being chased, then you are essentially a useless teammate. I see no problem with this.

That is undeniably the worst DS rework I've seen.
I pray that you're meming
-
...I don't get it. If this is supposed to be a racism thing, people need to grow the hell up.
-
I think voice proximity would be incredible for the game, and I would be for the killer and survivor talking to each other as well. Imagine being looped by this Nea and hearing "So, how's your day been man?" I would love this.
-
Decisive Strike activates each time you are unhooked.
While Decisive Strike is active and you are picked up by the killer, you immediately stun the killer for 5 seconds, gain a 7% Haste status effect for 20 seconds, and become the Obsession.
Decisive Strike is disabled if any of the following happen:
-You begin working on a generator or an exit gate
-You begin cleansing a totem
-You heal or are healed by another survivor for one health state
-You unhook another survivor
Increases your chances of being the Killer's Obsession.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one survivor at a time.
Post this on another DS thread. This is undeniably the best direction for DS
Edit: Notice: no timer, no skillcheck
-
While this would be fun as hell, pretty sure we're going to get some DS changes before we EVER get something like this.
-
ideal DS rework (written like the whole perk description):
This way, it is an anti-tunnel perk that allows you to punish the killer every time he tunnels, as well as allow you to loop the killer for as long as possible while being tunneled. This also removes any way to abuse DS's invincibility while also progressing the game, in which case you aren't being tunneled.
I think the only problem with this is that it would probably be a nightmare to code, but it would be a million times better than the current version.
Maybe also make it to where you can't bleed out on the ground while DS is active, but that's maybe a bit much.
-
Camping is technically a strategy. As you carry them to a hook, you think "yeah, I'm gonna camp this guy". That would fall under the definition of a strategy.
Furthermore, camping is sometimes (very rarely, but occasionally) a good call to make, such as a gen almost done near the hook, or multiple survivors at the hook, you have been hook-bombed all game whenever you walk away. Sometimes camping is the right call.
Sorry that the killer decided they wanted to play how they wanted to, you know, like anyone else who has bought the game?
Also, NOED and camping crutches? Basement Bubbas crutches? What the hell are you on? Camping unnecessarily and Basement Bubbas are scummy, but NOED is perfectly fine, gives good players more value than bad ones, and if we talking about crutches, how many gens have you worked on in a killer's face cuz you know you have the small PP build up and running? How many times have you used Dead Hard to save your ass because you messed up? How many times have you gone unpunished for being unhooked in the killer's face cuz of BT? How many times have you had Spine Chill or OoO tip you off of the killer's location and would have cost you ur life otherwise?
Survivors have 10x as many legitimate crutches as killers, and calling things like NOED and camping a crutch is laughable.
1.5K hours and plays both sides at purple ranks BTW, so judge me as you will

- MMR was one of their best updates

I 100% agree with everything except gen times. MMR was probably the best update. I felt myself being challenged by good survivors that were reasonably in my skill level (I'd say around mid purple).
Bleeding out is such a rare occurence that it's almost welcoming. Unless you mean where you hide while the killer is trying to find you to end the game. That ######### is dumb.
I enjoy being tunneled too. It gives you all the chase time from the killer.
Gen times should be increased if they were to change at all. As killer, I don't want to be forced to run 3 slowdown perks every game. It ######### sucks. I just want games to last longer than 2 seconds.
-
I think Slinger needs a slight nerf, but not the one you are suggesting. He needs a "wind up" to ADS. The fact that he zones for free and has literally no counterplay other than lose LOS is kind of dumb. Also, his chain is 18 meters, not 16, but it's still dumb nonetheless.
-
For survivor, my favorite perk is Spine Chill. Why? Go watch Pain Relievers and you'll know why lmao. I wouldn't necessarily say it's off-meta tho. It's god tier powerful, but no one uses it, for some odd reason (ok with this as killer lmao)
If we are talking REAL off-meta, it's gotta be Autodidact.
For killer, my favorite perk has got to be STBFL, but again, it's like Spine Chill: it's really really good, but no one uses it.
If we are talking REAL off-meta, it's gotta be either Deathbound or Knock Out

and Nurse is the worst.
Also, not everyone who plays DBD is tryharding, so I have no idea what data BHVR is getting from us. If they added a casual/unranked mode as well as make matchmaking actually GOOD, then we are talking, It's funny that there's only 1 gamemode for everyone, tryhards and casuals alike, and with the ######### matchmaking, grind, and alot of killers locked behind paywalls, I have no idea how they would even come close to getting realistic data.

A noob killer vs noob survivors isn't insanely hard by any means. I think and have always thought the game is much easier on the killer side for beginners. Fair matchmaking though? That's the real problem.
Since newbies don't know what looping is or how to do it (they really need to update the tutorials), then 100% killer is easier than survivor for newbies. Once people actually understanding how the game is supposed to function, then killer becomes 10x harder, and at the highest levels... ugh. I don't even want to know what a no-rules super sweaty DBD tourney would look like.

I think focusing primarily on stealth will kill the game more. Killers aren't trying to play hide and seek while also on a stress inducingly short time limit. I love stealth, but it should be an option, not the focus.

In theory, yes. In theory, the Doctor is the strongest killer in the game.
In practice, not so much. Let's go over what you said and how much of it is exaggerated:
First, the stealth. Static Blast is on a 60 second cooldown by default, and if he's running both cooldown addons (which is very rare), it can go down to 48 (correct me if I'm wrong). This is a long time, so if he gets no one with it, he gets no tracking from his power for a full minute. Furthermore, you do not scream while inside lockers, so if you hear the terror radius and are pretty sure he's about to static blast, it has a 3 second cast time, so you have PLENTY of time to slowly enter a locker before he shocks you.
If he does in fact shock you with Static Blast, he only knows where you were at the time of the blast. You can use this to your advantage. If you are far away, run one way, then walk another. He will see the scratch marks and be confused (unless you're in the open, of course). You then have time to hide.
Next, looping. The Doctor was the first killer in the game designed to counter looping, so obviously he's gonna do it quite well. The key is to either predict the shock and avoid it, or you throw the pallet early. Also, the shock registration is in your favor if he's not running addons. Shock Therapy has a detonation time of (I believe) 1 second, up to 0.5 with addons. This gives you time to drop the pallet or vault the window since dedicated servers are not in The Doctor's favor. He has to time it perfectly to get it, in which case, he kind of deserves the hit.
As for disabling your ability to use your flashlight... they aren't that great of a tool anyway, so I don't see why you are complaining about it.
Screaming in Tier 3 has a set interval, but you don't scream while snapping out of it, and since snapping out of it can now be canceled without losing progress, you can literally just tap that ######### for a second at a time and not scream or get skill checks.
The random skillchecks on gens and healing is a set percentage, 33% for tier 1 and 66% for tier 2. You get a little shock noise notification along with the skillcheck to indicate it's gonna be in a random place. Also, against a doctor, you never want to focus on the middle of the screen when waiting for skill checks.
Also, skill checks really aren't that hard to hit ever unless you have a worse computer than me, and I run on a garbage ass laptop.
As for extending your terror radius, he's giving up addon slots for that, maybe even a perk slot. That's one less tool he has simply for more reach with Static Blast, which as mentioned above, has very easy counters. His addons help him in 1 area, so if he's putting his resources into Static Blast, that means he's gonna have base Shock Therapy, which makes looping easier, and vice versa.
Sure, on paper, he seems OP, and he can feel oppressive in game, but I assure you, The Doctor is barely a threat unless A.) You misplay, or B.) the killer playing The Doctor is an absolute god amongst men.
-
I think it would be OK for the game, but killer in and of itself is already insanely hard. If we were to make it easier, that killer would be OP, or it would reduce the killer's effectiveness, making them UP.
For example, Freddy is an example of a killer who is slightly overtuned, but is sooo easy. He's also, according to most of the community, the most boring killer for both sides.
Then we have Pig, whom's power is very straightforward and easy to use, but is arguably the worst killer in the game.
I don't think they made a single "easy" killer that was actually good.

Well the thing is, it's a 1 vs 4 game, one survivor should not be as powerful as the killer. But all 4 survivors working together should be as powerful as the killer
The killer should be the power role based on the asymmetrical design during a 1 vs 1. But both should be on equal standing in the 1 vs. 4
and this is something people tend to forget. 1v1ing the killer should eventually end in you going down. That's why I think Bloodlust is a balanced mechanic, even if it rewards bad players. The killer should be 5x as powerful as any 1 survivor, and that's just a fact.

I may be missing something but how is the "latch on" not punishing currently? You can't do anything while he's on you except the bare minimum and you reveal the aura of nearby Survivors. You would turn it into a 3v1 if you leave him on.
Because sure, you can't do gens, but you can still unhook survivors. You can still be chased. Having Victor on you is detrimental, sure, but if someone decides to keep Victor on, then the killer has no power. Baby hostaging is getting looked at (thank god), but as it is right now, it's really not that punishing.
-
The way they are with only simple bug fixes and clean ups? 100% E or even F tier. If they make drastic changes, like reduce the swap cooldown, add the ability to recall Victor on your own, make Victor's latch on actually punishing, then probably at minimum low B.

There kind of already is a casual mode, in that you can do a custom game with four friends.
It might be interesting if there were a vanilla mode -- no perks, items, or add-ons for anyone, which would eliminate some of the stuff people find annoying. But I don't know if enough people would play it.
there's a problem with that: you need friends.
-
Personally, this is how I see it:
Most of the casuals and meme lords with go to the casual/unranked mode. There, they can expect one of two things: other casuals/meme lords, and sweaty players practicing for ranked. This is not exclusive to any multiplayer game. One of these 2 things is how I use Quick Play in Overwatch. This ensures that the casuals know generally what they are going to get as opponents, and can make their building accordingly.
In ranked is where ALL the sweaty tryhards will go. Queue times for this would be longer, but in exchange, EVERY match is fair and against opponent(s) of similar skill, and can create their build accordingly.
Like games such as Overwatch, Valorant, TF2 etc, there is nothing stopping people from tryharding in a casual mode, and this is fine. However, there should be a place where you know "hey, I'm 100% gonna go against sweaty survivors/killers", or "hey, this game is probably gonna be laid back, might even get some memesters". Trying to enforce casualness is just not casual, and it kind of ruins the experience.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk
-
If they are low rank, it's because they are sick and tired of the BS matchmaking and actually want a chance to play the game.
If they are high rank, it could be multiple things:
- They use it as a crutch even tho it's a crutch made of paper instead of metal
- They are running an endgame build
- They had a bad game and they are pissed off
- They enjoy running NOED
