Wait what?! Dramatic much?! Lmao! Aside from your dumb Disney world reference where I'm stealing from vendors and causing a scene??? Right? You'd know, its your reference.…..

All im literally saying is… there's a thin line here. We can't tell people who buys the game with money how to play for everyone else. Mostly because people have reasons why they disconnect other than the obvious rage.... im an example today… you can't control people. It's not right to dictate how others trest the games they pay for.

Im sorry... I hate to be thst guy. I really do. But my reasons are jo better than yours. I don't care what you say. In the end... we all PAID. WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO WHAT WE WANT AFTER THE PRICE TAG.

You Might not like it. I might not like it. But it doesn't matter. We all paid. You quit. I quit..irrelevant. devs should reverse penalties bc we are all paying customers in the end.

How about, you went to Disney World and cut in line, refused to put loose items in a locker, and punch Snow White bc she a #########?

  • @Madmillennial said:

Doesn't matter what the situation is. We are all paying customers and shouldn't be TOLD how to play a game. Period. Whatever reason someone leaves a game is their own and nobody else's business. Rage quit aside, there are many reasons people have a leave a match.

It's unconstitutional to be forced to behave a certain way. I hate to be thst guy but its facts. We are paying consumers. Who is anyone to say how we play a game we paid for?

TThis feels like Nintendo shutting off switch 2 consoles for people that mod a game after they bought it. It's yours to do as you wish. So long you don't cheat, scam, or cause the seller to lose money bc you are being devious...

    O' Canada

Making it like playing DBD is violating the Geneva Convention.

It does actually, when dredge is teleporting to a locker the handles of the locker vibrate. So you can literally prerun as soon as he choses that locker to tp to.

it's pretty subtle then. I've never noticed it but will look out for it from now on.

  • If this is a new install I would guess installing the latest Visual C++ Redistributables.

Other than that you will have to google it.

If you really can't see and feel this nerf even with the yellows buffed, then you really should reevaluate. His yellow buffs doesn't even accommodate for the over nerf of his pinks.

Was talking in terms of what's live now, not the PTB. It's to players that only use the purple bottles.

  • DX12 is your installed version on Windows 11 but is backwards compatible with previous versions of DX. I believe, DBD runs in DX11 by default.

I don't either. if someone was brave enough to pallet stun a Nurse, they should get a payoff for it. I wish bhvr would go back on removing her double stun

Just an FYI, in the window after the blink where she can swing or charge another blink, she is vulnerable to stuns.

Getting a pallet stun while in danger of being hit has far more merit than stunning while she cannot do anything to you.

    The second part was unanswered.

Should we go full-send into banning people, without looking at pain points, even if it means innocent players are caught in the crossfire?

And I'm saying I heard about it can you read, I said IDK if its true, dear me

Because casual players exist too? Who said it has anything to do with Killer bias, I'm on about a casual survivor playing is going to hit her while fatigued, which I will admit I didn't state that specifically. I've exhausted all dialogue with you it seems so I'm done here, you disagree I get it.

Also the nurse rubberband bug should absoloutley be fixed too, she just seems to be really neglected in general where she has issues playing as and against her rn.

I've heard stuff that she has both range addons too baseline or something? But I have no idea if that is true.

    killer bias came from:

you're speaking with only your perspective coz you're not trying to understand in the first place,

Which I took to mean Killer perspective instead of casual vs "no life" perspective which you just clarified.

Idk where you heard her distance addons were made basekit because that is very not true. Her base blink distance has always been 0.1s charge = 1 meter travel. 1st blink 20m, 2nd blink 10m. You can squeeze a little more from the 2nd with perfect timing.

At least we can end on an agreement. Her rubberbanding with higher pings needs work. I will also add her fatigue animation desync needs fixing but getting BHVR to fix bugs is like pulling teeth.

  • if this was the question:

So the majority of the community is lying when they say the game is unenjoyable due to X thing? We shouldn't even attempt to address common pain points, we should just go full-send into banning people?

Then I think I did answer. It's not whether or not the community is lying it that they are ruining matches for others over their complaints.

Yes, I'm hitting her DURING Fatigue, it's not confusing at all, you're defending it DURING fatigue, I'm talking about how she should DURING.

You randomly changed it to an assumption that I was hitting it after? If I was, would I have made this thread? Hello?

Well then I don't understand why you are saying I'm being killer bias (have no perspective) when I'm telling you facts of the game mechanics.

You just want a special case for Nurse. I've already pointed out this is a foolish request because stunning a Nurse out of fatigue could then be reduced with perks. You are basically giving double tap opportunity.

Yes, I've seen you listing other killers but @MaTtRoSiTy has already refute that.

See this is why I find you frustrating, you're speaking with only your perspective coz you're not trying to understand in the first place, I'm using it toward the end of her animation coz I'm having to have head on charge when she misses her blink. I'm not using it at the end of it

I'm not on about I'm using it perfectly, not to mention latency plays into this.

Your headline say fatigue but now you are saying not during fatigue. Sorry for taking things at face value.

Your explaination is still confusing could you provide a play by play or something where I can tell when you are trying the stun?

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962334#Comment_3962334

Who says I'm using it early, I want to be able to use a locker with my exhaustion to evade her and buy more time in chase against her with what I have available to me.

It's not my fault you have no awareness of the survivor's perspective.

You are clearly using it early! Nurse is not immune to Head On. You tried hitting her while in animation. You got exhaustion because BHVR's spaghetti code doesn't check if the stun occured or not.

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962324#Comment_3962324

She should be able to be stunned, who would even say that, that's saying don't use the tools at your disposal.

Listen to yourself. Legion can be stunned mid recovery, Ghoul even can, so can Wesker.

Such lack of awareness is frustrating lol

It is actually foolish to want this to begin with. You want to give a strong killer the ability to cancel out one of her forced cooldowns with a quick stun?

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962324#Comment_3962324

She should be able to be stunned, who would even say that, that's saying don't use the tools at your disposal.

    Listen to yourself.

Fatigue is an animation lock. Like every other killer you cannot stun a killer in animation.

Head On exhausting a survivor when the stun did not work is the fault of the perk mechanic not the killer you tried to stun. The same thing would happen if you mis-timed a DS into Head-On combo with any other killer.

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962185#Comment_3962185

But why do I get exhausted when I use Head on then but she doesnt get stunned, it seems hardly intentional

Even if it was allowed to be done earlier, it would hardly harm her, she is already one of the strongest killers in the game, giving you a way to stop her recklessly lunging or fatigueing through pallets would be nice.

She of all killers could use some more interaction with her, especially with the new "Fragile Pallets" if you use one of these too soon on her you've wasted a hard to earn resource AND she can get a free hit.

That is with Head On not the killer.

Are we still trying to stun Nurse with pallets? How many times do you need to be hit before you learn that's not the play. Treate her like any other killer that can hit over pallets. There are many killers that can do that now. Predrop and force them to blink when you're out of sight.

  • @Dem34888 said:

Let them first fix the fact that she can teleport back due to server bugs or a new engine, this is already a critical bug that makes her not so much dependent on skill as on randomness

explain what you mean by this?

  • It's how the game is coded and it's not Nurse that is special in this regard. Killer's cannot be double stun and cannot be stun in animation.

What happens when you DS a killer and immediately hit them with a pallet? The pallet pushes them back without stunning them.

Let me ask you this, why do you think the system that punished for tunneling is at fault and failed, what makes killer tunnel?

    (Not a trick question)

The system wasn't design to punish tunneling and that wasn't the topic.

The go next detection system was more than likely running a timer after a survivor got unhooked. If that survivor was down or hooked again within a time window they would be marked as going next and hit with a penalty. This was seen when a killer tunneled and the survivor was hit with a penalty when starting the next match.

Nothing was was said about the good or bads of tunneling.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3961914#Comment_3961914

And I am saying that, as predicted, the system is only shifting how people give up. You said we should get rid of those players too, but any system that does that effectively will also grab plenty of completely innocent players as well.

So I propose we actually try to improve the game, then see what happens.

I'm saying there isn't an improvement that can be made. Anyone that just stands still and taps a gen not to get crows is unreasonable. They want to be the one that always escapes or always 4Ks.

A system to get rid of them can and did go wrong and punish a lot of innocents. There are a few ideas that would work better that if an innocent player does get hit doesn't affect them for too long. These are ideas for in match behavor and not DCs.

    1. A posion queue or a queue where a system has labeled bad actors. They have to play nicely with other bad actors in order to escape the queue.
    2. Instead of punishing for one instance in one match, look at a history of matches and see if a pattern exists.

Clearly a system that punishes for being tunneled out is at fault. But one that looks at a broad history could filter out those false positives.

    • Falls under case B
    • Falls under case B
    • The culminating upkeep would be a whole minute...yes thats one we have no sympathy for. You shouldn't be taking that long to "check". Using them as bait maybe, but checking shouldn't be 20+ seconds each time.

This is a long chain and had to look up your orignial B. I thought somewhere it said that the survivor was able to crawl away or something but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The culminative for one minute is not uncommon because even checking for 10s adds up when they continually get blinded. Some survivors are just good at hiding and not all killers are good at the game. I would put this in B because it is not out of malice but paranoia.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3961844#Comment_3961844

Uh, because any system that actually meaningfully punishes them also equally actively meaningfully punishes innocent players…like we literally just saw.

If banning innocent players doesn't bother you, I think we're done here lol.

  • @ChuckingWong said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3961853#Comment_3961853

    Couple things in here:

Who ruined those matches? When is a match ruined? Is it when someone gets tunneled out? Why is that?

Already explained what happened. Scroll up. A survivor was not "tunneled out" they stood in the killers face and wanted next, only they want next now in a different language. By not running away and just sitting on a generator to get picked 2 times in a row.

1 stood still for all of this, as well as 2 other survivors being hooked. (The one who stood still afked for all of this, thats several minutes of 2 stages on both survivors and chase with both the others)

Another match had 2 people DC at the start of the match. Thats half the team gone and replaced by computers before any progress on generators.

    Ie:

The 2 that remained are forced to stay in these games that are outright ruined, and not even what we signed up for.
•We didnt que in the matchmaking system to have multiple bots on our team
•We didnt que in the matchmaking system to play 2v1

We dont que up with bots, otherwise this would be somewhat PVE. The game even closes the match if someone DCs in the loading screen.
We dont que up with 2 survivors, the lobby timer doesnt even start.

These matches are ruined. Keeping them open is just wasting the 2 legitimate players' time.
-Theres supposed to be 4 in a match.

How is the game supposed to go? All of you get out? Two of you get out? What happens if you didn't make the cut? Was it wasted effort? Are survivors that die wasting their time? Is it only the survivors that escape the ones to have fun?

Noone said any of this. Getting out has nothing to do with anything I have said.

Yes, those are the types that ruin games. So I'm in agreement there. In fact I'm in agreement with what your saying and I must of misread.

I'll add a few points that are not pointed at you.

    --

The anti-go next did not create these players, they already existed and would ruin the game in any method you give them. Why? Because it's escape without worry or not try at all.

They DC on down before there was a timeout. Leaving others to play out what they abandon.

When DCs came with consequences they then died on hook before anyone could save. Make it in time? they stand still and let the killer kill them. If the killer ignores them, they start making noise.

These are not the kinds of players this game needs. They should not be catered to. They should learn to play with others or be removed. They ruin it for others.

Queue them up together, get them out of our matches. Let them feel the pain they make us go through having to play with them.

  • @ChuckingWong said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3961801#Comment_3961801

This is an ignorant thing to say there are many sources to giving up on hook and case in point, I would get out of these matches if I could. I have absolutely 0 problem saying this. These are legitimate matches that are ended, they have been ruined. These are the matches where giving up on hook is 100% justified.

The 2 that remained are forced to stay in these games that are outright ruined, and not even what we signed up for.
•We didnt que in the matchmaking system to have multiple bots on our team
•We didnt que in the matchmaking system to play 2v1

I said it earlier in this thread:

There were multiple things that had to be done before this change was implemented.

Right off the top of my head…

AFK crows should only go for so long before someone is kicked. On the third crow you should just get kicked and have a matchmaking penalty. (Easy solution)

Multiple computer bots should just end the match (easy solution)

    Vote to surrender(easy solution)

There are countless things that COULD have been done, and I cant stress this enough, they went with possibly the worst option they could have. As they are now just punishing EVERYONE, including the players who stayed.

Who ruined those matches? When is a match ruined? Is it when someone gets tunneled out? Why is that? How is the game supposed to go? All of you get out? Two of you get out? What happens if you didn't make the cut? Was it wasted effort? Are survivors that die wasting their time? Is it only the survivors that escape the ones to have fun?

A match is ruined when someone DCs or stops trying. It is ruined because someone in that lobby wanted to keep going and now they can't.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3961824#Comment_3961824

It should not have been done first, but rather last. Massively punishing people, making them arbitrarily stay on the menu in order for the timer to count down, all while the state of the game is lackluster is incredibly tone-deaf, imo.

Likewise, if someone is dead at 5 gens, I don't feel like it is unreasonable to want to speed up a doomed match. Certainly, that isn't an uncommon occurrence, but that has been removed as well.

We are already seeing exactly what I said would happen in response to this system. People are just giving up in other ways, you haven't even attempted to fix the problem, just the symptoms. You'll continue to play wack-a-mole with players until you've caught so many in the crossfire that there aren't any left.

Why do they continue to play when they know if something doesn't go right they will just stand still and wait? Why should those types be catered to? Why should the enjoyment of players that want to play end up second fiddle to those that scream and kick? No, let them tantrum and burn out.

If the goal is strictly escape or give up then they mistaken what the game is about. Not every game you will escape. Even in OP's 50/50 two are going to die. But some don't want to be one of those two, so they give up and kill the whole team. If there is any mistake here, it's allowing this mentality to fester this long.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3961815#Comment_3961815

We have no idea what those systems are.

Anti-GoNext was a colossal failure. It has done far more harm than good, and I hope they've taken the advice given into consideration.

Anti-Camp forced Killers to back up six feet from the hook, which is cool but the outcome has remained the same. If the Killer wants you to stay on the hook, you are going to stay.

Anti-Slug and Anti-Tunnel haven't been revealed, but considering the absolute travesty of the anti-GoNext and the uselessness of Anti-Camp, I don't think many people are hopeful.

Anti-GoNext in terms of detecting AFK or attempting to get killed was a failure. Simply we got BHVR'd. Is there a way to make a system with those goals? I believe there is. Not one that uses one match but over the course of many. Maybe one that doesn't give a penalty but a special queue with others like them.

Punishing DCs and removing the killing of one's self on hook is not a failure. Such a system did bring resistance from those that did that very thing but why should that be tolerated? Either they learn this is a multiplayer game or move on to something they actually enjoy playing.

  • Are the sides equal in a 1v4?

    Are they equal in a 1v3, 1v2, or 1v1?

    When should a 1v4 become a 1v3?

    What happens if it doesn't?

What counts as a win for the survivors? A two dead two out? Why two and not four? Four escape a 200% win or 100%?

If killer is worth 1 gold then how much are survivors worth? How do the scales tip?

  • Now you done it. Now everything has to change.

  • @ChuckingWong said:

Like look at this @BHVR (id ping your company if I could)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/R922ZHLZN6SG/image.png

Youre making people sit in matches like this one 5 gens. One was tunneled out (since he didnt want to play against the twins) and this other guy on the right just afks for all of it.

The person that tunneled out, touched a gen, but he just got unhooked and went straight back to it, didnt run from the killer or anything. So my report will probably do nothing in the end.

You generalized all the actual USE for doing this instead of treating the source of problems, as there are many not just this scenario. This match is dead it shouldnt have happened, I should have a way to get out WITHOUT being penalized or having to sit there on the hook for both stages. Which I did in the end.

I can report these people but to what end? Will the report feature even work here?

One guy definetely didnt play the game as intended and just wanted out. And another guy just afk'd.
So no punishment system for them, but punish the players actually playing and staying in game.

To be clear: There is no good option here, but the one you landed on BHVR is the worst option you could have gone with.

Do 0 investigating and fixing of things and detection of matches like this, which are plenty, and instead removed a system because of bad actors. Leaving players having to sit through crap like this.

There is no source. You can provide everything and they will quit the moment the match doesn't go their way. It's a mentality issue thats been rewarded for years and now has been taken away. When you take something from a spoiled child what happens? That's what's going on now.

FNAF 3 is the only game in the series(actually the only time in the entire expanded series) that William Afton(Springtrap) acts that way. Every other time you see him(in the later games, the books, and in the movie) he is a talkative and overdramatic character. To be honest the nailed him perfectly in dbd. He may even be the most lore accurate licensed killer in the game now.

I feel like if dbd hurts people's sanity then they maybe just shouldn't be playing it at all? Too many people made doom queueing a habit imo. They really don't like the game anymore but they keep queuing up looking to find a match that will make them feel like when they started playing. It doesn't happen so they go next or DC and queue again. That isn't healthy for them or for the game.

    after Leatherface....

But they removed the faces ☹️

    Nvm, you right.

Go ahead, save this comment and come back to me in a couple weeks when they do exactly that, again. Yep, nerf keys and maps, buff killer, and then call it survivor sided. To be frank, wouldn't know what else to call it as if it doesn't fall under B or C there's not really any slugging that we'd know thats NOT "malicious intent" to us that would have survivors bleeding for a minute. Regardless of that, legit or malicious to us is irrelevant as this is more or less idea exploring.

We wouldn't particularly care if the timer starts at the first down in a 2v1 as long as it can't reset in any way.

    [Before the 1v2]

Survivor falls under a pallet and one or more survivors are within view.

Survivor falls in the open and one or more survivors with flashlights are within view.

A known flashlight survivor is not seen but known to be going for saves so the killer checks around before picking up. Cumulative this adds up over multiple downs if saves were made.

These are real scenarios where the killer does not have agency to just pickup the survivor right away or before they are pick up by others.

  • @Rulebreaker said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3961595#Comment_3961595

[Something happened to our first reply so we're trying this again]

Our main confusion is HOW did the survivor get bled out for a minute. If the survivors were harassing the killer, then it falls under case B. If the killer chased others while leaving a slug, that's then on the killer for leaving them that long and if the slug crawled away that's case C. In both those the killer had ample opportunities to hook. Sabo squads fall under case B to us (we forgot about them the first time). In other cases it practically just letting them bleed. So how did they get to that point?

[There was probably more we've forgotten and worded pretty from the first but ya know, we forgot]

How would you detect that early instance of slugging to be malice to grant the abandon later? That's my issue. I believe the solution would be better if the timer started after being slugged at the 1v2 regardless if the previous slugging was legit or malice.

Reminds me of the times I'll let someone wiggle off my shoulder after walking to their hooked teammate. Alot of newbies will run away instead of unhooking.

that awkward moment you and the struggling survivor watch as that survivor runs away.

    What? 🤨

  • Someone is running the old reliable DS, SB.

If people say something is good, other people will use it. It's the same for Call of Brine/Overcharge. It's the streamer effect in action.

Well, could be all perks for extra kicks.

As we said, that drawback doesn't particularly matter and those types of players always run the risk of multiple slugs, only they'll now randomly behave like zombies.

Maybe, I guess with Soul Guard they can do this in the open and not just at a pallet.

They wont get it, some do but if you're against actual babies many don't.

I will also add, that I am probably what most would consider a veteran and as a result I have trust issues with killers. I have had killers let me open the gate so they can mori me right before the exit… so if you give me the slightest off vibe I will not trust you and instead try to get away too.

Yes, that's why I either walk away from the door or drop them directly on the hatch.

Not true at all, especially with BHVR removing going next. There have been dozens of games so far where I've been held hostage in the match by a toxic Killer and a toxic Surv who is being toxic to teammates to exert some control over the match that the Killer is ruining. So much so that I often alt tab and play a different game on PC in the meantime. To think, BHVR disabled the system that would have given out DC penalties to Survs who get tunneled out too fast or who die with afk crows over them.

The real hurt to ego is Killer mains who act like making the match miserable for other players is their god given right. It's never a shock to see how toxic a Killer plays, see they are a TTV and then going over to the TTV to see that they are in fact a mouth breather, clasping onto some form of exerting digital domination since they're lacking in their personal life.

The OP is about being tunneled, not being held hostage which can be reported.

The timer in question is the bleed out timer. We voted 1/4 the timer before you can abandon remember? Is the scenario changed to immediately being able to abandon?

Correct but the caveat was nonconsecutive. Only the 3/4 bar was required. I've already gave my thoughts on this in earlier posts.

If they get the save one runs off fine(is) and hovers nearby, the saver grabs the slugged while the blind/stun goes and the saver hovers near those 2 when they enviably go down. The nasty drawbacks (not exactly sure which one you're referring to) don't really apply in this situation (they don't care about healing to full, we're assuming the broken status is gone when they go down since it doesn't say, re-enter they dying state still has 2 twits with lights). To us it's basically a harder whack-a-mole.

The refered drawback was being forced into the dying state. Say a team of 4 was "having fun" with the killer they are running a risk of multiple slugs. If I were them it would be Power Struggle and flashlights.

Perhaps I was wrong, the abandon option doesn't show up when all your teammates are bots. (In this match, one teammate was already sacrificed, Alucard had already DC'd, and then you see Sable DC in the clip while slugged). Alucard and I are both up and about, though. I didn't attempt to abandon; just the prompt never appeared at the top-right corner.

    Its a bug then.

    8.6.0

    Surrender Option

Under specific scenarios, it will be possible to Surrender during a trial and retain some progress

    Survivor:

When all other remaining Survivors are bots

When all Survivors are in the Dying State

  • They didn't force you to quit, you chose to quit. If a killer is tunneling you then the game will be over very quick for you. Hasting that is just hurting yourself over ego.

  • Bill's have this innate drive to be left behind.

  • Snitches get stitches.
