  • I don't think he's movement speed is a problem. I think he's one of the most balanced killers. His range is short, compared to other ranged killers. The tentacle has a small hitbox, unlike Huntress hatchets. He does have counterplay. He can heavily punish mistakes of survivors. And makes survivor resources less of a problem, but not completely useless. So he has a good trade off in his chase potential, for how useless his "map pressure" zombies are.

  • Tbh it's probably Sony bricking the consoles, telling people they need to upgrade to next gen.

I haven't seen the movie myself, but from what I understand don't you not actually see the Blair Witch herself / itself even in the actual film? Its that quintessential idea of "the greatest fear is the fear of the unknown" and in the Blair Witch Project the unknown takes the form of this found footage story where we learn about three student filmmakers who mysteriously disappear after looking into the local legend.

By giving the Blair Witch an actual form, like The Hag or something- you end up stripping a theme that is central to the very identity of that film and the license itself.

Also the power itself seems really strange with how it treats movement speeds. At first, I naturally thought 20% movement speed referred to killer speeds over survivor as in +20%, so 120%, but then earlier in the power an explicit distinction is made when it seems that the Blair Witch moves at 250% rather than I guess would be +150% so are you meaning to tell me this killer moves at actual 20% movement speed??? The inconsistency is confusing and very off-putting.

And if it's just a normal fast moving killer, than isn't this just a weirdly overbuffed Wraith?

The whole thing from concept to power just screams like a very dubious addition to me, so I'm actually going to have to pass on this one.

Same thought when it came to not wanting the killer, due to it never being seen. I didn't read the description, but yeah it is confusing. My guess is while it's invisible, it moves 250% speed. While visible in tier 1, 120% speed. In tier 2, it become 130% speed, while possessing a survivor and looking at them it drops to 115%. Sounds kinda all over the place tbh. But I don't see the devs, being able to implement a mechanic that lets you take control of another player's character. Plus it would be a lil unfair to have something that prevents a player from being able to play the game, even if it's a set duration of time. Guess they could introduce a survivor looking AI, but that would be hard to introduce also. It'd have to match a player in the match, cosmetics and all, and be intelligent enough to avoid that survivor it's copying. But we've all seen how smart the AI bots are, in the tutorials, and Nemesis' zombies lol.

rank colors mean nothing for MMR. im ash at the moment still my MMR is so high that i only get 2k hs survivors (at least) because used to play killer way more and win consitently, so even after reset i still get these kind of survivors with most of my killers. seems you dont understand that MMR has nothing to do with the Rank. most killers you mentioned rely on survivor mistakes, the only ones that can deal with good survivors are killers who dont rely on survivor mistakes and at the moment there are only 3, well kinda Blight can find his way and spirit got kinda nerfed but with good addons she is as busted as she was before... but still, only those 3 and the reason 90% of my games in my high MMR survivor is agaisnt one of those 3 guys when i play solo, when i play with friends with different MMR i get some variety (sometimes).

so with low MMR i believe you, i believe that you (because we all know) can win with any killer, because they make mistakes all the time and are not efficient...

dont get me wrong i enjoy playing weak killers because i like the challenge, but sometimes u feel powerless because they dont make the mistakes u can use to capitalize with, why? because they actually good at the game. and dont get it wrong, to lose as survivor they neeed to make A HUGE mistake, not a mistake of we are human, basically they were trolling or greeding too hard in order for that to happen, especially when going agaisnt m1 killers, is always survivors fault losing against those guys, never killers fault, due how predictable they are, tahts why only 3 killers can deal with all that bullcrap... on top of that, if they made a mistake they have multiple second chance perks to run, always expect one unbrekable per game, 4 ds, and a couple of dead hards so no, even if they make mistakes they can fix them.

Not sure if you are just bad with reading comprehension, or just talking out of your ass at this point. I mentioned nothing about the new ranks. I mentioned Red Ranks, which were part of the old ranking system. The system that did play a big part in what your MMR was initially set at, since the devs took months of your play data, to determine your MMR skill level, before SBMM went live. You keep claiming to have high MMR, yet it's a hidden figure, for all you know, you could be getting mediocre SWFs. You assume mine is low, yet I win the majority of my matches, in the old system and new system, that includes SWFs, with all the meta perks, killers like to complain about. I've even watched people with 7000+ hours in the game make mistakes, playing as survivor, so don't tell me surivors don't mess up, no matter how good they are. I've watched people 4K against old system red rank survivors, with Burger King Myers build. But yeah it's impossible to win, without using Nurse ? Lol. Even had the meme Backpack Piggy build end the match faster than a Nurse could. But you assume my MMR is low, and yours is high. Yet I'm winning my matches, and you are losing yours. I've been playing this game for 2-3 years now. I'm fully capable of using killers to the best of the ability, and making builds that benefit them. You have yet to have any reasonable argument, only a bunch of strawmen and assumptions, based on your poor experience, and a hidden number, that nobody even knows what it is. Things haven't changed much since the old system and the new system, so I don't even bother sweating to rank up anymore, as it's pointless now. I just play my matches, to do my challenges and/or gain bloodpoints, and because I actually enjoy playing the game. Instead of whining about unnecessary stuff. We all get it, there's strong perks, killers, add ons, and items, in the game. None of its OP, besides Circle of Healing, that does have the potential of being OP, if played right. Other than that, the game is mostly balanced for both sides than it has been in the past. Quit getting upset and acting like a child, because you lost, or else develop your own game, and so we can all see what you think is balanced and fair for everybody involved.

I only watched the first two movies. Thought I heard that you can see her (vaguely)..

i dont even expect to the the Blair Witch and do understand the concerns from those against it. I am kinda split on it, but in the end i would love to see some kind of the license in the game (hence the Hall of Fame of Horror and all..)

I do agree, I'd put the original movie, up there in a sort of Horror Hall of Fame. I looked at what you posted to see what you were talking about. Hannibal would be a cool killer idea, not sure what they do for his power tho. Just know he'd be the most terrifying entry. Of course everybody wants Xenomorph in the game. I would love that one also. Hoping if a Xeno does come, it should have some sort of multiple ability power, and one of its powers being a chestburster. How could would it be, to have a facehugger lay an egg into a survivor, and they have to run around the map, to certain spots in order to remove it, before the chest burster comes out? Sort of like Piggy's reverse bear traps.

Yeah that’s actually true and the best argument against it. That and the fact at least in the first movie they even let it open if there even is a witch/something supernatural going on. Though I think in a later movie and a game there is actually a shape/body?

One way they could implement it is if they actually take Heather (or another person from the movies) and call them ‚The Possessed‘ and give them the powers of the Blair Witch..

I've watched the 3 movies, I don't remember seeing the witch in any of them tho. All I've ever seen is the sketch. The game showed monsters and stuff, but never actually showed the witch. Really the only thing the game did right lol. I do love the folklore of The Blair Witch, but I also like it remaining an unseen force as it's been portrayed. For something folklore related, I think they could do a lot of cool stuff with a Wendigo, and have the survivor and killer related to each other. Maybe an Indigenous American brother and sister. I'd say the sister be the Wendigo, because DbD does be lacking on female killers.

  • I was consistently a red rank killer, before MMR. MMR is pretty meaningless to me, because it doesn't do anything. But whatever makes you feel better dude. Nurse is the strongest killer, yes, but she's far from the only strong killer in the game. Spirit has an add on combo, that makes her stronger than before. Blight has consistently been strong. Twins are crazy strong. Huntress is strong. Oni is strong. Nemesis is strong. Trickster is strong, and now can abuse an oversight by the devs. Billy is still strong, even if they gave him a unnecessary overheat mechanic. Wraith and Bubba are actually pretty good now. Haven't played Deathslinger since the changes, but he does look a lot weaker than before, bad power design on the devs part imo. Even killers on the weaker end, like Pinhead, Clown, and Legion still gets 4ks. The entitlement is strong in this post, like y'all really expect matches to be handed to you. With whatever killer, you pick to play as, learn how to snowball with that killer. There will always be an opportunity to do so. Even good survivors, are only human, and will make mistakes, capitalize on those mistakes.

  • @FFirebrandd said:

I mean... prior to her nerf I wasn't willing to play Spirit. Now that she feels more fair, I'm willing to play her and omg... there might be a new Spirit main in the game. So for me personally it's feeling better.

I'd like to go against new Spirit. I know how she felt playing and playing against with her old style. I would like to see new her from the survivors' perspective, then I may end up playing her again.

  • How to solve your problem, play Twins. 3 perks, that I know of Victor can actually activate. I don't use 1 of them tho. Ruin and Undying passively works with Victor. You'll have no use for BBQ or aura reading, because he can't use those, nor does Shadowstep, the weaker of the Boon perks work against him. Instead, the build to go with is Ruin, Undying, Hex The Third Seal, and Hysteria. Now you got a fast killer, with all the map pressure you want, with a build that benefits them. He activates Hysteria and The Third Seal, making Charlotte invisible to survivors. His map pressure keeps survivors off gens and your totems.

  • I main Piggy, Nemesis, and Huntress. Win roughly 90% of my matches, with 3-4 kills. The matches that I get 3 kills, either the survivor found hatch, or I let them escape, because they impressed me during the match. Entitlement is so bad in this community. All these people acting like they are oppressed, when they can't just accept they got outplayed. The whiners like to rely on crutches, whether it's certain killers, items/add ons, playstyles or perks.

  • I understand the complaints, as slugging, camping, and tunneling isn't fun for anybody in the match. But you can't really dictate how a person plays neither, even if it makes them look like a dick. There's no real way to nerf how somebody plays neither. Slugging isn't really an issue, it all depends, because some killers' powers work by slugging. Oni losing his power, by picking up a survivor. Myers losing his snowball by picking up a survivor. Victor preventing survivors from being able to get to full health state. When killers, that their power doesn't require slugging, they just slug to let everybody bleed out, is really annoying tho.

  • Any killer is viable, even the weakest ones. Sounds like Nurse is just a crutch for you, because you fail to snowball as other killers.

  • I think a For Honor skin for Trapper would have been fair. For Honor does get Trapper and Huntress cosmetics, and moves, and has Trapper spawn on the map as an entity fighting both teams, though Trapper is only in it for like 2 weeks. A skin is the least they could have shot for.

  • On survivor side, I use it because it's good. But then again, it's the only good perk I use. My current build is Dead Hard, WGLF, Vigil, and For The People.

On killer side, I never had too much of an issue with it, depending on how it was played. If a survivor dodges my attack with it, then it's no big loss. Would rather that, than a Dead Hard for distance.

As long as it stays in the game as it currently is, I'll use it on survivor, and I'll deal with it as killer. Plus I tend to played either ranged killers, or killers that make full use of STBFL. Chases don't really last very long. Especially when you got Chad Nemesis, with tier 3 tentacle and 8 STBFL stacks, or Huntress and her homing hatchets.

  • Bubba is fine as is imo. People that face camp with Bubba, are throwing matches. He may had to play like that before, but after his basekit changes were made, he's a lot better, since he can rev his chainsaw, and you get more than enough charges to close the gap on the survivor, even if you have to swing wide, to avoid bumping into obstacles.

  • No he's one of the weakest killers. The chainhunt passive effect is the only thing he has going for him.

  • A total rework is needed. Buffing or tweaking numbers will always keep it weak, because of a part of its design, making survivors' resources useless, windows and pallets. Prior to The Twins release, I wanted it to be where you could control multiple killers, since there's 4 of them. Now that Twins are a thing, I'm not sure what I think they should rework it to. Something that makes them at least mid tier, hopefully. Legion is my favorite killer, visually, but awful to play as.

  • It's an overall weak to okay perk, so I don't think it needs any changes. It's not really something you could run with a healing build, to make your medkit last 5+ heals, so max they will get is 3 heals if they really want to run expensive add ons. Imo it's a lot like Thana, people think it's good, but in reality it's not that great.

  • Oh man I thought it was just me. All my survivors looked like they have reptile skin now.

  • I picked that I didn't want it, simply because The Blair Witch has no real design. To give her a design feels like it'll take away the mysterious of the witch.

Yes I know there are a few sketches based on what people claims she looks like, but that may or may not be true.

  • It's annoying, but no matter what anybody does or changes the devs implement, you can't stop people from playing how they want to play.

  • A lot of offerings are generally useless, just bloodweb filler. Shrouds, luck, hook distance changes, increase/decrease the dark mist, ect. Even the brown bloodpoint offerings, don't really pay you back for what they cost. If you hit 6000 in a category, you'll break even, anymore than that, you'll gain a small amount, up to 1000 more than the cost of the offering. I'd like an option to at least sell offerings, I have no use for, to gain bloodpoints back.

  • Lately I'll escape a bunch of chases, but eventually will go down, because the killer won't get off my nuts, despite losing gens. Then after match, I'll have max boldness and no real points in anything else.

  • I disagree, simply because Boon Totems have a limited range, unlike Hex Totems. But I do believe they should have a downside, without making the perks useless. That's why they shouldn't be able to deactivate a Hex Totem, when applied to the same totem, rather both effects come from the same totem. It would force survivors to play more smart, than being rewarded and screwing the killer's perk at the same time. They would have to make the decision to cleanse the Hex, or bless the totem and deal with the Hex.

  • That's actually a decent change to that perk. Let's you know to go for another gen and be more optimal. Thanks for pointing this out.

  • Haddonfield, RPD, and Gideon's again, the rework made the map worst. I also think Shelter Woods needs to be looked at, it's either full of jungle gyms, or an absolute dead zone. There's no real middle ground on that variation.

i put a lot of bp into zarina to unlock for the people but i realized in solo i barely ever get to use it and even if i do it's a disaster

either for some reason can't heal someone after they're downed at exit gate (were they shifting me?????) or the person i heal goes down in 15 sec and then i go down in 45 sec because i gave my health state away and can't heal and i wonder to myself why i gave away a health state when i'm probably the only one on the team that can run a killer for two minutes

I use For The People, after I unhook somebody. Vigil further reduces the broken status effect, down from 60 seconds to 42 I believe. I also run Dead Hard, as it helps while you are broken, and WGLF to make the unhooks even worth going for. Usually will bring a purple medkit, with increases healing speed and +16 charges. Once Circle of Healing gets fixed, I may drop Dead Hard for the build.

  • Turn off crossplay, it'll fix the problem. Until they get it straightened out.

  • I haven't seen him to be as good as people think. Imo he's pretty low tier. But you can abuse his wonky reveal mechanic, if you are stalking survivors. Most Ghostface players tend to use his night shroud in chases, rather than exposing survivors. You could 99 expose a survivor, and pop it when you get close, for an easy down.

  • Hook spawns can be crappy, especially if basement is in the general area.

And you'd still need to spend ~15million bloodpoints to get all perks on one character. So if youre banking on CoH being your savior you should still want the grind adjusted... Unless youre like me and play killer to dump BP into survivors lol

I agree survivors should get a BP boost. Even getting 4 stacks on WGLF, and running a BP offering, I'm still only getting 50k a match. As killer I'll get around 100k. Survivors have too many actions in certain BP areas, and they are lacking in others. After 2 years, and over 2k hours, I still have yet to get a perfect match as survivor. Yet I get those a lot with killer. With CoH I'm just saying I see the potential of it, to the point where survivors can essentially make the game unwinnable for the killer, when most gens are done. I just think Boon perks should have a downside, without making them useless. I'd be happy with them not cleansing Hex totems, but rather both effects apply to the same totem, if a survivor chooses to bless over cleanse.

  • @vacaman said:

Do they really reduce the charge time of m2? I have them stacked to 50% and i swear i can't still reach survivors on a normal pallet loop in less than 10 spins around it. Doc has allways been my least favourite killer, I always think that the time I invested denying pallets i would have just gotten the pallet way or mindgamed it with another killer. I don't know if it's just me that can't tell the difference or they actually don't reduce to 50% (purple+green discipline).

It reduces the detonation delay of Shock Therapy, not charge time. Honestly Doc's best add ons. It shouldn't take you 10 loops. You shock before the survivor gets to a pallet or window, and they are prevented from doing actions for 2.5 seconds. Plenty of time to get a hit in.

  • Nah I hope it stays disabled. As killer, I'd rather not have to play Haddonfield, and as survivor, I'd rather not have to deal with Trickster.

  • People just can't accept when they get outplayed. Yeah sometimes you get salty, but going as far as messaging a person, rude stuff about it, only makes you the #########. Just report them to whatever system you play on, is what I'd do.

  • Survivor side honestly isn't that bad. If Circle of Healing gets fixed, it's a really strong perk, essentially broken when played properly. But after last update, I've been having fun with For The People paired with Vigil, even in solo queue. I'll bring a double or triple healing medkit, since the broken cooldown is so short with the two. Bad survivors may bring the match down, but that's not a killer issue, more so the terrible SBMM system.

  • A lot of exhaustion perks are useless. Sprint Burst is good when used properly, but 9 times out of 10, it's just Megheads and Blendettes incapable of looping. Dead Hard is strong when used to gain distance, but to dodge an attack, it leaves you exhausted on the floor most of the time, due to latency. Lithe sucks, because you'll most likely get latencied hit during a window vault, you'll get the speed boost without the perk anyways. Balanced doesn't work on every map, though I do admit it's annoying on maps it can be abused on. Head On is limited to a small hitbox, something the devs can never manage to get right. Smash Hit is survivors wasting their resources. If you know they have it, you can always respect pallets or with a ranged killer, make their perk unusable.

bro. Your missing the point of the argument. It completely counters a part of the game and it should just not work like that. and just because "No Way Out" And "Blood Warden" Does not mean it should be like that, this also pretty much bypasses the punishment from blood warden. it 100% has to go.

Tbh Blood Warden is a dumb perk design in the first place, rewarding the killer, for survivors doing their job. Same goes with Noed, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, ect. I do give Unbreakable a slight pass, as it does prevent toxic killers from wasting everybody's time, by letting them bleed out. But it also isn't too fair to killers, that rely on slugging, because it's optimal for their power.

  • I only run Pop, not a huge loss for one perk slot. Other perks I use are BBQ, and 2 chase perks, or 1 chase and 1 information perk, or 2 other information perks. Depends on the killer I'm playing. What are you really complaining about, Blight's Ruin, Undying, BBQ or Pop, and Tinkerer build is easy 4ks.

  • @stikyard said:

Just because you started doing an action, doesn't mean you aren't being tunneled.

So, I get unhooked and try healing myself and here comes the Killer to come find and tunnel me. I'm not being tunneled because I tried to heal myself?

Use Inner Strength if you want to heal without deactivating DS. But you'll have to cleanse the totem prior to being hooked, because cleansing totems will deactivate DS.

No, being healed doesn't disable DS.

If you seld-heal, it will disable it. If someone else heals you, it'll be there.

You can still locker heal yourself, with Inner Strength, and not deactivate DS.
