Undying, Ruin, Tinkerer and Sloppy is a solid build on Freddy, He and a handful of survivors can benefit from Undying + Ruin combo. In my eyes Tinkerer is a god tier perk on Freddy, you get a notification? Teleport or bait (Mix it up). Sloppy is for the slow down, sometimes it’s best to abandon a chase, as long as you hit the survivor, you’ve given them a hard choice of wasting time on healing or risk staying injured. Freddy has anti loop so it’s best not to stay injured.

Yes.
So gens won’t regress while they’re blocked by the entity, but after the block ends gens affected by Surge or Oppression regress as normal.
Ahh that seems pretty good

Yeah, most likely Oppression + DMS. They work extremely well together. Add in Furtive Chase or Nemesis for extra DMS procs.
Does the gen regress after the cooldown of Dead Man’s Switch?
-
DbD had competition e.g. Predator, Resident Evil, Friday the 13th etc. All of them had potential, but DbD grew better and stronger.
imo if Turtle Rock Studios continued to develop Evolve, it could of been a strong contender.

Why should survivors pick up a pallet just because they have a perk? I have really never heard someone complain about Killer Instinct on Legion. I can't even begin to create an argument for it because it's something so... not annoying.
He asked a question, please learn the differences between complaining and asking a question

Id say just delete the hatch in general because its not really a fair concept. If a survivors team does poorly, they should all lose with no chance of escape. The current hatch just incentivizes random team survivors to give up and hope they get it if things are looking grim.
Make keys access a door that only survivors can use to escape the killer if thier being chased. Its that simple and would probably be the best replacement for keys/hatch in general.
The hatch is designed to stop anyone from keeping the game hostage.
-
@Bard said:
Nope. They're entirely comparable.
Keys can be (mostly) fixed with a single number change.
The hatch stays open for 30 seconds after being opened by a key right now, allowing the entire team to hop out immediately.
Lower that from 30 to 0, meaning only one person can escape like that, and keys are suddenly a lot more reasonable, since they're incredibly selfish and greedy.
That’s not a fix to keys, there can be 1 gen left and if say one person leaves with a key, as soon as that hatch closes the End Game Timer will start and the survivors get away with a free gen being done.
You may say “oh make it so that doesn’t happen”, not as easy as it looks as it’s a functionality not a number change. It’s like saying make it when a survivor walks over a Hag trap it doesn’t activate, that’s not easy because it’s original function is to activate when a survivor is standing up.
All of this requires waaaaaaay more work than you think.
-
I rather the game encourage the killer to look for other survivors by giving the Killer a multiplier for their score for hooking different survivors.
-
It’s obvious keys are a problem but who said they should Nerf both Mori’s and Keys at the same time?
It seems like Mori’s are easier to change whereas Keys aren’t: Number tweaks, add-on pass, animation introduced etc. it’s more complex.
I rather them take their time and do it right than rush it and flop.
Just wait, keys will be nerfed soon
-
The Mori change is a good change, now they need to work on Keys
-
Surprise they didn’t do it together, but I guess they had a lot on their plate because of the Twins. Keys will get there nerf soon. I expect the mid chapter or the next Chapter
-
@Pepsidot said:
Some people actually bought the chapter. Why should they calm down if half the perks aren't working correctly, Victor gets stuck in the ground etc.
How can you justify this mess of a chapter by saying 'show patience since fixing bugs isn't easy at all'.
If anything, that kind of attitude just encourages BHVR to release more buggy, unfinished chapters.
They have stated before release that this chapter is unfinished and a hotfix is due soon, it is OPTIONAL to buy this chapter. People don’t have the right to complain because they knew what they were walking into.

I would love to see a chubby survivor fast Vault, would be lit

When you begin a match as the Nurse, what do you find on the map? Pallets
Almost there, now how is this a helpful tip?

Can you enlighten us on how Nurse and Pallets are related?

Can we have two survivors carrying the downed survivor?!?! One by the legs and the other by the arms???!?

Not gonna lie, Nurse is soooooo overrated.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/211104/no-killer-is-inherently-m1
When people talk about a killer being an "M1" killer, they talk about the killer power not actively helping them in a chase/anti-loop. Examples of killers that are NOT m1 killers:
- Nurse
- Spirit
- Freddy (on asleep survivors)
- Death Slinger
- Huntress
- Hag
- Pyramid Head
- Cannibal
Examples of killers who has a power that does not actively help them in a chase are:
- Trapper (Arguable, but requires quite a bit of setup to be useful in a chase and is very unreliable)
- Legion (Sure, they get a single hit, but that's it, they have to m1 after that
- Wraith (Similar to Legion)
- Hillbilly (Arguable, but Chainsaw is hard to use in chase)
- Blight (Power isn't so good in chase, it is good in between loops though and getting around the map)
- Clown (Arguably, if you just drop pallets his power does nothing.)
There are others as well, but this is the general idea.
You missed Oni, Demo and GF on your list. You make me sick!

but why ruin undying + pop sounds like a wasted perk slot 80% of the time
I think he uses pop for as backup when Ruin and Undying are cleansed.
-
The counter to this is to crouch past Victor, like you would do when you’re against a Hag. Crouching past Victor won’t activate killer instinct.
-
The Devs has stated that they have no intentions for nerfing Undying and Ruin, however they’ve notice a lot of killers are using this perk combo a lot. If it comes to point where a vast amount of Killers are only using Undying and Ruin they will have to look into it. They said they won’t nerf Ruin because they’ve collected enough data to know it’s in a good spot, they will however nerf Undying, but that’s IF a lot of killers use Undying and Ruin.

Here and even on twitter people are upset with all the deadzones but I don't see the issue. Survivors had so many pallets especially on blood lodge (don't get me started on this map) that they would just waste every pallet willy nilly and so many were safe and not really mind gameable that it got so unbearable, heck when I played survivor I had no worries since there were just so many it didn't matter.
I know it can suck but maybe learn to play smarter and more resourceful and not just waste pallets like crazy (looking at you solo teammates)
Play around the dead zones and maybe use sprint burst more often to help with it?
You say play smarter and resourceful but I can’t control teammates throwing pallets down everywhere creating dead zones.

LOTS OF PERKS need updating its weird seeing a company like this scale update so slow. In league of legends they normally update old champ kits but it takes years for it to happen here. I would for them to update trapper/clown/legion bring them up to par with newer killers...but thats not going to happen. I really wish they would do a huge patch to look at all perks across the game and update the older/not used ones that would be nice
Not enough resources to update everyone.
Cant really compare Behaviour to Riot Games as Riot Games is waaaaaay bigger.
The Bigger the company, the more resources they can spend for more content and updates.
Also to note, Riot Games has done two updates to old kits this year, Fiddlesticks and Volibear. Behaviour has also done two reworks this year, Doctor and LeatherFace.
-
I appreciate the creativity on the new Killer, clearly inspired by the movie Basket Case but with their own twist. The Twins have a unique play style which is fun for both Killer and Survivor.
What I don’t like is the tons of bugs it has. However, I assume Behaviour had to take the L and release an unfinished Chapter because they’re using their last remaining resources on a new mechanic, art and animation for Victor.
Hopefully this doesn’t Hinder their Mid Chapter plans or even the next Chapter.
-
I used shards because the daily logins from the Halloween event gave me a stupid amount of shards lool I enjoy playing them too, that makes me a satisfied gamer.
-
I still say Legion’s chapter is trash, a group of pissy teenagers stabbing people, so unique and threatening....
I enjoy the twins because they have a variety of tactics, you can play aggressively, defensively, stealthy etc. Plus The Twins are getting a hotfix to become even better and stronger so I see this as a win win

Just like killer has zero information about survivor movements on high wall loops?
Its actually equal playing fields when there’s a high wall. In fact A lot killers complain that the walls aren’t high enough because survivors can use stretch res to look over the walls.
-
Pennywise or the nun
-
If they did increase gen speed by 30 seconds, killers would still use gen slow down perks.

@ALostPuppy said:
Well yeah once they actually complete the killer they'll be good...kinda goes without saying. But can you really blame people for complaining about the way they've handled this upcoming DLC? The fact that they have so many issues that they didn't even notice before they even released it to the PTB (issues that you would've found out after testing them for literally 5 minutes. Surely their testers have some kind of checklist and thorough method to follow by now, they've been doing this for 4 years?) Idk man it's so concerning to see they still don't have a good grasp on game balance after so long. They needed us to discover these issues for them.
Still, the changes look good and at least they'll be playable eventually.
Testers don’t test flaws, they test if it functions correctly, that’s why their title is quality assurance functionality. To test gameplay and balances they send it to the PTB, you get better results from the public.

Yeah it wouldn't be easy, but they aren't exactly an indie studio now. Even if the coding team is small, they could hire outside help (which would probably know better than them)
The cost for help on coding is insanely expensive.
When I use to work for this gaming company (I can not name and shame) the team hired a German bloke to help “fix” their spaghetti coding issue. His salary was $5000 per DAY. It took him 4 months to fix the issue, however, all it took was a few updates to screw it up.
It’s better to restart the game from the ground up, but this requires a lot of resources, Behaviour is better off making a brand new game.
-
It’s on their list to look at all the maps and change the loops, tiles, size etc.
Whilst they’re changing it, might as well graphically update it, it’s logical.
The Devs are killing two birds with one stone. Efficiency!
-
Yeah the progression for Ranking up is too short.
That’s why they’re working hard on the MMR system, soon Ranks won’t matter and you’ll play against and with people around your skill level.

Changing Hex Ruin was also an "expirement." We saw the results of that.
Well yes we did see the results of changing Ruin: Toolboxes got nerfed, Gen efficiency and Skill checks got nerfed and many infinites got changed.

Tinkerer, Pop, Thrilling, Trails of Torment

This is a test. Give it a try on the weekend and express your thoughts in the feedback section

In Horror films, usually its a girl because of the Horror tropes “Final girl”. There can be a final guy but it’s most likely a girl. I would say Meg because she’s an athlete, however, because they’re physically fit doesn’t mean they will survive
-
Kindred, Inner Strength, Detectives Hunch and Dead Hard
I can’t trust my team to do anything.
-
End game chase is more crucial imo. It’s important to distract the killer long enough for the others to push the last gen.

While I thank you for the elaboration, I do stand by my belief that the small advantage doesn't justify making people go through hell because of a disability they were born with.
Np dude, I appreciate your response, very civil and respectful.
Honestly I hope they add it, Destiny’s colour blind option is spot on, so fingers cross that Behaviour can do it too.

How do you abuse colorblind settings?! Scratch Marks and such are things you're supposed to see anyway. Even still, the benefit would be so marginal that it in no way justifies screwing over a large population of the playerbase due to no fault of their own.
As someone who was a QA Tester who tested colour mode for many games, I can answer this (it’s a really long answer).
I myself am Protanopia, we cannot differentiate the colour Red and Green. Anything related to Red in this game is difficult to see.
The easiest option is to use a filter that replaces every RED AURA to WHITE or YELLOW.
HOWEVER! Dead by Daylight is not like most games, it’s a horror themed game which replies on a DARK atmosphere. White on a dark background is much clearer than Red, info is way more brighter and clearer. Scratch Marks are now BRIGHTER and WHITE, blood marks on the floor are BRIGHTER and WHITE, Aura reading perks like BBQ are BRIGHTER and WHITE etc.
And this is just one colour blind type, with Tritanopia being complex, Behaviour “may” have to change landscapes which “may” make players more visible.
This is a term called “competitive advantage”. Other games have this issue to like:
Fortnite: Non colour blind gamers see through the storm more clearly.
Overwatch: Non colour blind gamers see their allies highlighted Yellow and the enemy SUPER bright.
Even though this is small, it’s still a “competitive advantage” which is classed as cheating.

I didn't mean to sound aggressive.
I just can't stand when people act like streamers came up with ideas, builds etc. when there are like thousands of people trying/using the same ideas/builds (often before them) as it sounds like you're trying to say people are not smart enough to figure out stuff themselves and need the "wisdom" of a streamer.
Sorry if you thought that way

Nothing wrong with copying a streamer but you are acting like everyone using Windows of Opportunity was a Tru3 fanboy just because he's using the perk now years after its release.
That does not make sense.
Yes, I assume he wrote a thread about Window of Opportunity which so happens Tru3 is using it.
I assume he watches Tru3 as I watch a few Tru3 videos and he corrected me by saying he doesn’t watch him.
Simple. End of discussion.
Why are you acting so aggressive and defensive?
-
Yeah so?
What’s wrong with “copying a streamer”
-
I disagree, Michwich is visually beautiful but is terrible, long corridors with empty rooms filled with either tables or chairs.
I love GhostFace too
Hawkins is my favourite map too
Deadhard does take skill but it’s too long to talk about.
Legion needs a full rework, we need a killer that feels like a group of killers, not a single teen killer.
-
As someone who is colour blind, it definitely is needed, but like what bjorksnas said, people will abuse this option, which makes me sad.

Theoretically yes, infact that’s what Behaviour does now except the Killer’s power is slightly different e.g. Billy and LeatherFace. They can’t create whacky skins for LeatherFace (unless they discuss it with the license holder) so they give it to Billy instead.
