F tier without a near constant chain hunt going.
S+ tier with consistent chain hunts.
He's my fav killer aesthetic wise but it either feels horrible to play as because I get ######### on and the survivors constantly grab and just hold the box, or, he feels horrible to play because I consistently keep grabbing the box and then the match is on easy mode.
His passive needs to be nerfed and his active ability needs a buff.
-
I didn't get it at first either but yeah, high MMR DBD is probably legitimately 60% unfun games, that's why SBMM is hated on. Survivors at high ranks almost always have the upper hand unless you're running an S tier killer with an S tier loadout and even then a highly coordinated SWF can still just dunk on you.
-
I think being able to relight totems is ######### broken as #########.
-
Pretty good.

Yea I have. I run BBQ, Pop, Ruin, Brutal with crow and canker thorn. I’m on console and cheese survivors with this killer. He must take a lot more skill on PC then I guess 🤪
why would you run brutal on blight he can already break pallets and walls with his power lmao. replace brutal with undying and pop with tinkerer and you have your typical meta blight build
-
Haddonfield is the worst, but it gets better when you know the layout of the map like the back of your hand. Try just running through the house and outside so you can catch them as they jump down. Won't work every time but that's just about the only way to deal with it besides catching up to them before they jump.
-
I saw somewhere somebody said turning off crossplay worked, hopefully that helps? Just curious, does it show you any patch notes for 5.2.2?

I agree, however after trying a couple things out I found Thrill of The Hunt to work really great as well! I mean as long as they don't cleanse Thrill (which is super easy to defend since it notifies you right away) you get directly notified everytime they go to cleanse plaything and you can go get a hit in + a small bonus to BP is nice too lol

This is how I've been playing him and I've been getting consistent 3ks and 4ks most matches.
Both add-ons to make Lament Configuration solving time longer (From 6secs to 12secs)
Franklin's Demise, Deadlock, Hex: Plaything & Hex: Thrill of The Hunt
During chases around pallets I'll bait them into dropping the pallet and as they're throwing it down I extend a gate right in front of them so as soon as it opens I hit them instantly. Then, instead of taking the time to break the pallet I'll just walk around the other end of the tile and get a hit in, if it's long enough of a tile I can throw another close range chain to make sure they don't get away.
Always a good idea to launch a chain in open spaces as long as you can tell the survivor is looking forward and not back at you during a chase.
However, any time killer instinct pops and I know the box is being solved, I'll drop chase and immediately go towards it- Usually with the longer solve time add-ons you can just walk to them but if they're too far just extend a gate to max range and chain them to interrupt their box solving then walk the rest of the way to them.
Also I feel like a lot of people are frustrated by how awkward the chain handling is, you shouldn't be trying to turn the chains at all to use them effectively to get hits. You should be extending the gate right about 2 or 3 meters maximum away from the survivor before you launch the chain, that way it goes straight to them and they have no chance to dodge.
Hope some of this helps!

Great ideas!
My personal favorite so far has been:
Franklin's Demise
Hex: Plaything
Deadlock
Hex: Thrill of The Hunt

Oh thanks, good to know. i wouldn't have expected Franklin's Demise to work with the box either.
Oh yeah, I was surprised too. I'm so happy we can run an effective build outside of the meta, even if it's only one killer right now lol

Wait, does hoarder work with the Lament Configuration?
It does, but IMO Franklin's Demise + the addons to make solving the box longer may work better than using Hoarder's.
With Hoarder's it adds 2 chests, and every time the survivors pick up any item you'll be notified. There's no way to tell if they picked the box up specifically or just a medkit out of a chest, unless you run the purple addon so you can see the box yourself too.
With Franklins + the longer solve time addons, it gives you time to find them, catch up to 'em and all ya gotta do is hit em with one M1 and you get the box.

Wonder how good running Plaything and TotH would work out. Giving you that extra bit of time to head to the Totem they are working on might be nice.
I only ever run Plaything + maybe 1 other Hex Perk since you want all 4 Survivors to potentially get hit with it. Once I've got Pinhead to P3 maxed, going to max my Hag and Myers again, see how much it helps them as well. EW3 Myers with Plaything sounds like a fun time.
It works beautifully, check out my post above yours. Been winning most of my games w Cenobite w this build and playstyle.

My fav build so far, essentially you're getting that box 9/10 times with it.
Both addons to make solving the box longer, taking it from a 6 sec solve time to a 12 sec solve time.
Franklins demise
Hex: Plaything
Deadlock
Hex: Thrill of The Hunt
Every time you see killer instinct pop you drop whatever you're doing and head to it. With the addons to make solving it longer, even if they're at the other end of the map it usually won't be a problem. If you know you won't make it for a basic attack just extend a gate to max range and hit them with it, that'll interrupt them and give you time to catch up.
Once you've caught up all ya gotta do is land one hit and they drop the box.
Playthiing also seems to help a lot by giving survivors side objectives to do if they don't want to be disadvantaged the whole game, along with Thrill of The Hunt you'll be notified everytime they go for a totem so you can sneak up while they're oblivious and get easy hits + it makes totem cleansing slower.
Deadlock just helps with a bit of slowdown and tracking for the survivors working on gens.
Edit: Also! It's pretty decent you get a BP bonus while Thrill of The Hunt is active as well!

Don't. Trust me on this one.
I appreciate that you're trying to give people tips for playing him, though. Dude's frustrating as hell with massively unbalanced risk/reward on his power.
Nah, OP has the right idea.
I've been running both addons to increase box solving time, initially it's 6 secs w no addons, 12 secs after both addons. This gives you plenty of time to get to the survivor and exactly as OP said if theyre too far away just hit them with a chain to interrupt.
I've also been running Franklins so I make sure to get the box on first hit.
also running plaything, deadlock & thrlling hunt along w franklins
Been winning most games w this playstyle.

Going to completely refute this one due to the wording you used! Patch Notes were out at 10.30am EST, the Chapter came out at 12pm EST - so there was plenty of time to make yourself aware of the the removal of the voice lines. So please choose your words carefully and do not make accusations of theft or fraud again.
Yeah, the patch notes were out prior but a lot of people don't read those. I understand BHVR is totally legally protected by that and it's not a total bait & switch situation but it is extremely disappointing & frustrating.
-
The best success I've had so far with hims is:
Both add-ons to make solving the box take longer, takes it from a 6 sec solve time to a 12 sec solve time.
Franklins Demise, to get the box on first hit (and deal with pesky BNP's & flashlights)- if killer instinct pops I will drop any chase I'm in and do the most I can to come up and hit the surv solving the box. If they're too far away I can still hit them with chains to interrupt the solving then catch up to them.
Hex: Plaything, the repeated oblivious effect on all survivors til they find their totem is so excellent it really lets you sneak up and get hits you wouldn't get if your terror radius was there to give you away.
Deadlock, for a bit of tracking and making sure survs don't immediately rush all the gens away.
Hex: Thrill of The hunt, lets me easily sneak up on survivors affected by Plaything & gives a tad bit of a bonus to BP.
Edit: I've gotten no less than a 3k w/ this build over like 20ish matches.
-
I've also gotten this twice out of five games so far, first time was when I was attempting to hook a yui it got stuck in repeating the hook animation til it DC'd me, and then a second time when I was trying to pick up a downed Nancy in the corner of Haddonfield between a bush and a fence. That one also had me stuck in an animation before it DC'd me.
-
I also got this, but it was during the hook animation for chatterer. I downed a Yui, picked her up and tried to put her on hook but it kept quickly repeating the hook animation until it kicked me & gave me the disconnected from host error.
-
lmao that is whack. My best guess is that it kinda is spelled similar to douche?

I agree on Trickster.
For Nemesis & Pinhead, they may weak in chase but they have free pressure from Zombies & Chains. Even though Zombies arent consistent and holding the box should also come with incapacitated along with oblivious so they just not holding the box for nothing.
I hope there are more Killers like this in the future.
I think Nemesis and Pinhead are anything BUT weak in chase, I mean nemesis can just smash through any dropped pallets and keep walking right through them in T2 and Pinhead has an unlimited built in slow from his summons of pain albeit that's a tad harder to land than a Nemesis Tentacle.

He doesn't even FEEL like he's a 115% MS killer. I feel like a Huntress trying to catch up to them. Idk why either.
Idk why it is but I feel this too, if I go from any other 115%MS killer to Nemesis I feel like I'm slogging through quicksand.
-
Agree'd. I hope they fix the bug that makes it literally unplayable when using mouse and gamepad. Seriously, it drops to like 10fps if you even slightly touch the mouse while using your controller. They addressed it in the patch notes of 4.7.0 but no news about it since.

Its pretty Much 3 Gen Build
You might want to Swap Bamboozle with STBFL or ,Swap Fire Up with Corrupt or Mindbreaker
Yeah, I may not have intended it to be a 3gen build but it is super oppressive in a 3 gen situation.
That's not a bad idea though, if I swapped Fire Up with Mindbreaker and the Serotonin Injector + Tyrant Gore addons for undetectable everytime i down a zombie and theyll respawn quick so i can actually effectively use it; That may be pretty strong.

Amanda is cute too

8/10
2 points deducting because you called nemesis nemmy
Fair lmao, and yeah Fire Up is for sure a pretty niche perk. I barely ever see other killers using it.

Jw, what is an add-on pass? Just like an update to the current add-on functions on a killer or addition of new add-ons?
