Because really good loopers are already hard to catch as it is. Add in MFT, and chases take long enough that you can't keep up with gens so you're practically guaranteed an endgame where they'll also have Hope, so you're double #########. No one cares about Megheads using MFT and it doing nothing because they aren't using it, they're using sprint burst. It's juicers using MFT and breaking the game just like with both previous iterations of DH
You will be shocked if i tell you good loopers can even steal more time with Lithe or SB.
Yes.
That's how exhaustion perks works. They designed to make chase longer. Shocking right?
Meghead will waste his SB for no reason but this smart looper will make SB pain for you.
Just because they outplayed you with MfT, this does not mean they can't do this with different perks as well.

Servers are broken since new chapter released. Yeah i have this as well. I got penalty for no reason.
And the funny thing, after game disconnect me from match, i am seeing everything killer has.

You do realize they did do a weekend with no bloodlust a few years ago and from what I understand it was really bad. We may not have infinities anymore but the maps are nowhere near balance enough to allow bloodlust to be deleted. Tiles still spawn in chains that are really easy for any survivor to loop around and waste a lot of the killer's time. The other day I had a map that had three pallets and a window that spawn so close together. I will be happy for Bloodlust to be gone if they can prove to me they can make balance maps for once and not survivor-sided messes like Graden of Joy, Toba Landing, Borgo, and Eyrie.
This test was years ago. DbD changed so much, it's not same game anymore.
And killers are using Bloodlust for their advantage. Smart killers know where you have to break pallet and where you can Bloodlust survivor. If this is okey for game health, i don't see any reason to nerf MfT.
The only nerf i want is , haste effects should not be stackable. That's all.

Also, no one has yet to provide any evidence that MFT is broken. The only thing I've seen, as proof that MFT is broken is people saying "MFT is broken".
(Or a video of someone with MFT + Hope used together. Which isn't an indication MFT is broken, it's an indication that the game was already won and someone was messing with the killer using MFT + Hope. BTW, I've seen plenty of videos where survivors messing with the killer using Hope, by itself and doing the exact samething on a game that was already won).
The only argument i am seeing , they are saying MfT makes chase a bit longer. I mean that's how exhaustion perks works. SB, Lithe, BL and other exhaustion perks will make chase longer as well.
At this point, i am just believing people just hates anything survivors gets. Just look Cage perks. He is getting 3 meme perks but people are already complaining about them, even they are just meme perks.
I am glad BHVR is ignoring them and just looking data.

Im on the side that thinks made for this is fine because its only active when a survivor is injured and not exhausted , but only while bloodlust is still a thing, the devs want to remove blood lust in the future, so when that happens, the perk will have to be nerfed. I only play Soloq as survivor so maybe theres a SWF tactic im not aware of.

It seems both of you forget that this is not a 1v1 game the game has be balanced around the idea that 1+1+1+1 = 1 not 1=1 and that belittling is not a constructive argument.
So? Just because it's 4 v 1 game, why killers have free haste effect which rewards them for bad play? Bloodlust was needed when we had infinities but this is not case anymore.
If 3% speed bonus is busted, then bloodlust should go too.

We need a perk that gives killers a nice permanent haste buff after they eliminate a survivor from the trial. It rewards the killer for doing his job efficiently. It's no big deal, just like MFT + Hope, because the killer already won anyways!
Killers already have free haste effect: Bloodlust. Killers is getting it when survivor outplay them, game is rewarding bad player for being bad player. Should we remove it as well?
-
I think random perk system will be fun to use. Just they should reward player for using it. Like 1,5x Xp and BP bonus whenever you use it.

If they are gonna add America flag charm, then all country flags should be in game. Because not all DbD players are American.

BNPs are getting nerfed, but the change is that they remove 10 seconds of progress on the gen. If survivors can farm BNPs off this perk, they can in theory reduce gens to have less than 30 seconds of solo repair to be completed.
I think allow iri addons from this perk is going into danger terrority for a perk that comes off as memey.
You are just overacting, he was just super lucky with this med-kit.
Now he got this. Very busted perk indeed, let's nerf it because killer fellows does not even let us have meme perks.

Just out of interest, does David being revealed as gay coincide (roughly) with any Dead Hard nerfs or adjustments? For the most part, the only reason people play certain Survivors is to get their perks. Dead Hard, of course, has been substantially nerfed fairly recently, but a lesser change previously could have produced the slow decline we've seen in his use.
I imagine for a lot of newer players, David being free and (at the time) having the best perk in the game would have influenced his pick rate to a significant degree. DH nerfed = less people playing him to get his perk/lower use rate = less costumes. Of course, on top of that, being free, once people start buying characters, they're going to be less likely to go back to ones they haven't paid for. Meg is the exception in that respect but she also has really good perks, so there's an endless stream of newer players using her to unlock them. Good perks = higher, more consistent use rate = more costumes.
Dwight, Meg, Nea and Claud are popular survivors tho. And all of them are free and have decent perks. They have good playerbase, not only new players. Also veterans plays them as well.
David and Jake are not popular tho even they are free as well. But both of them have garbage perks, maybe that's why new players are not picking them.
-
You are acting like killers will not get buffs lol.
Last mid-chapter nerfed med-kits, self-heal and the best survivor perk (DH).
Now this mid-chapter nerfed Prove and BNP.
Probably they will nerf toolboxes as well in future mid-chapters.
And killers will get buffs as well if they underperform.
That's how games are works. Devs saw camping is really problematic and decided to fix this. If they see killrates drops to down, they will look killer issues as well, like how they did in past.

Thats a reach. Because him being revealed gay gave him more players as well within the lgbt community. I believe its simply due the fact that he isnt getting many skins as of now which is why you dont see him often and others are getting new skins. I rarely saw yunjins last year but now im seeing her more after getting more skins. It really correlates to who is getting skins at the moment.
This is not always true. Ofcourse, Yun Jin had potential to rise. And when she got some new and decent costumes, we started see her more. But this did not work with Adam, Haddie, Jeff and Elodie. These survivors got new costumes but yet, still they are not popular.
But ofcourse they should give some costumes to David. He did not get any new costume for almost a year.

You want to slug survivors with a killer that has neither a chase power nor mobility (TVs will mostly be turned off)? If you can manage to do that, you'd be better off tunneling or camping the survivor out of the game. So, that's not really one of Sadako's strengths.
And even if you did manage to get some stacks on them, what's to stop them from removing it? They'll drop a pallet and then run to the next TV and get rid of it.
I just pointed holding tape is not good idea. I am not saying she is perfect, i am not saying nothing should be changed lol.
Sadako has no stun anymore. I am sure you can find way to hit them. If you can't, it's on you. It's not problem for me to hit survivors after they pick up.

At least there is one less things to inflate kill rates without actually making them viable, and that is great.
That's actually what i want. That's why i want to see death of tunnelling and camping. If these strategies dies, kill rates will drop so badly which will end some good buffs for killers.
While devs focus only on data we won't get healthy changes. Maybe data should change and show real stats.

They will always run with a tape. Because teleports wont affect them. And since it only increases when they get hit while carrying a tape, or when someone who carries a tape gets hooked. The whole condemnation will build up much, much slower.
Not true. Holding tape is actually very dangerous. Because then you are giving me chance to slug you. Tape is not removing when you are on ground. I will leave you but whenever someone pick you up, i can hit you again. And add more stacks.
-
She is boring to use. The only fun part is sniping survivors from very far away.
-
They did not nerf her, they just reworked her. And honestly her new powers are more fun.
Sure some numbers looks problematic and favors survivors but this does not mean they won't be changed. They can.
-
David has issue with costumes like other unpopular survivors.
Adam did not got any costume for long time and he got some lately. Same goes for Jeff, Jane, Jonah, Haddie, Jake etc. You see these survivors are getting costumes rarely.
Because making costumes is not free. And when you use money for it, you will expect to get some profit.
You have survivors which guaranteed moneymakers: Kate, Mikaela, Meg, Claud, Nea, Yun Jin, Vittorio, Dwight, Felix etc. Would you focus on your moneymaker characters or characters which has pretty small playerbase? Answer is clear.
David deserves some costumes but i don't think they are not making costumes because he is gay. They stopped make them because David is not popular anymore. A lot people stopped play him after he revealed as gay. You can't force people to play him, so if he won't get more players most likely his costumes will be rare like other unpopular survivors.

TBF MFT is a lot more versatile than Hyperfocus, I'd compare it to Resilience.
MfT is not even outplayed Lithe and SB? These 2 is still the most popular exhaustion perks. Should we nerf them too? I am sure some people could nerf them tho.
-
They said perk is fine? And yes, i agree with them, perk is fine. There is no issue with it. Just because someone whining about it, things are not gonna change.
-
They said they are monitoring it and they also said perk is not problematic atm. And you expected nerf for it?
-
The reason is there is no range to get stacks anymore. So Sadako can't spam her teleports to get easy stacks. 15 seconds can be reduced to 10 seconds maybe. But this cooldown needed.
But Survivors have so much power to negate her power. This is the biggest issue i see with her.

Lmao this is not a case of nerfing perks just for the sake of nerfing a perk, and then just randomly deciding on which perk to nerf. There is no reason for any killer perk to be nerfed at the moment, I do not see how Jolt or PR would need a nerf in any way.
It's debateable whether Prove Thyself needed a nerf or not, I personally think it didn't. But that doesn't mean perks like Jolt need to be nerfed as well.
Sloppy needs one nerf. It's destroying perks like Resurgence. I wish they would change this part and i'd be okey.

There is a thing. If u wanna killers have a chance in a match against good survivors without camping/tunneling, they need to be mechanically VERY strong in a chace and map control, like Blight level. But if we buff every killer to his level, everyone on this forum will cry about how killers are op, like it already is with Blight.
I'm bored to camp and tunnel to win maybe 700 hours ago, and play mostly for chases now, so i don't bother much about it, but i understand that it's huge killer's nerf since u need to play grab game sometimes to make pressure.
So please don't be surprise if everyone run blight, nurse and wesker after this update, like everyone already does.
Me playing Nemmy and Sadako , reading this and smiling.
Sure dude, whatever you say. Guess i am gonna play Nurse more.

It's pretty much the fastest way to end the game. A game that is already decided is boring for both sides, so of course most players want to get it over with. It's less about playing mean and more about playing efficient, so that the game won't drag out longer than necessary. A lot like camping the hook when only one other survivor remains. It's not about desperately trying to get the kill but to keep the game short. Or would you rather spend another 5 minutes walking across the map to look for them both after the unhook with no indication where they might be?
When a killer is afk, most survivors will do gens and get out of there as fast as they can as well (maybe with the exception of opening a chest or doing a totem, when it's convenient). Again, the game is boring so you want to get it over with and play the next game.
Well then killer should not complain when it's 3 v 1 and they camp one of the survivors. If other 2 survivors hide and don't do anything. Because at this point, both of them will play for hatch. And it's killer's job to find them.
If killer don't camp and give them chance, they will do gens.
When killer play mean, this happens as well. And then killer is complaining more.
-
@Xernoton said:
I have one potential explanation. Have you ever been in a game as killer after someone died, where the others knew they wouldn't win? There are only 2 ways the game can go from there. Either the survivors run up to the killer and try to end the game asap or all of them hide.
And when nobody is doing their objective, the killer has no way of finding survivors. I remember 1 game where I was basically held hostage for more than 40 minutes because someone dced early on. Funnily enough the survivors told me that I deserved this for playing in a way that'd make someone dc.
Or it might be they were intentionally trying to ruin everyone's fun. It happens to the best of us.
I have a lot dcs when i play killer. Survivors gives up when they can't win. Or when they don't like your killer, they will dc. If you outplay them, they will dc.
But this don't mean you have to be mean to others who stays. You can kill them sure but if you are camping at this point, i don't know what to say lol. Game is already easy mode when someone dc/die at 5 gens, get max bp you can get is better option but ofcourse everyone is not me.

5 seconds is too much, it still doesn’t make the perk much better against top tier killer but becomes too punishing against low tier ones.
I personally think DS is fine as it is and if they want to deal with tunnelling, make it base kit and not tied to a perk.
But if DS were to get any changes, the best one would be to either make it activate on both hook states (OtR can be used twice so DS could as well) or have the stun apply AFTER the survivor can move again (so a 4 second stun overall basically)
5 seconds is not so much. It's okey to punish killer for tunnelling. Actually it should be buffed even more. Like it will work for both hook states, 2 seconds Sprint Burst after stun.
Tunnelling should not be easy. If you are gonna risk it, it should be high risk high reward play. And it should cost you game when you fail.
Atm tunnelling is so free, that's why killers tunnels so much.

Right, so a handful of killers can counter it. That is how a lot of things work in this game. I guess dead hard needs a buff because legion counters it too right? Or all the healing perks need big buffs because plague counters them too right? Or doctor needs a buff because calm spirit counters him right? Sometimes things just get countered by other things, that is the nature of how games work.
Not only handful of killers, any killer can counter DS so easily. It's garbage perk, waste of perk slot. Stun time is so short with animation included.
Killers are no longer respects to DS because it does not do anything. You stun killer with it, so what? 10 seconds later, you will down again because you can't make enough distance.
DS should be buffed, so at least people can use it against all of these tunneller killers. Or better, it should be base-kit. Tunnelling is free strategy, so why not DS?

I know you were going to say nurse but besides her. Blight, spirit, all ranged killers can easily catch up. It takes 1 second to get off the killers shoulder so there only stunned for like 2 seconds.
I think it's not even 2 seconds because animation takes like 1,2 seconds. Even m1 killer catches you fast enough because stun time is so bad.

I don't know what you are talking about but events are lately favors killers so much.

Nerfing DS was one of the worst ideas from devs. OTR will never be good like DS. And sadly 3 seconds stun is doing nothing. If you have not any loop near you, you are dead again.
We are living in gold age of tunnelling and devs are doing nothing about it.
Your idea however would help but it should work for both of hook states.

There is a lot reasons to hate Knight.
- He can hold 3-gen very good. He is not on SM's level but he is good enough.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3469757#Comment_3469757
First off, "worried" is the wrong the word. I'm not worried but I made a prediction. And that prediction is based on a basic understanding of cause and effect, human behaviour and observations of these. Also, care to explain why you used quotation marks on "worried"? Usually quotation marks in this setting would be used to imply that a word someone used isn't what they actually meant.
Even in this thread there are people that imply that David is tunneled more often because he is gay. I'd say the fact that this is even an argument already proves that the focus has shifted from the actual premise of the game. It's like a car with a million little gimmicks. Yeah, they all may be nice but the more things there are in your car the more things can break. And we have seen that happen already (blackface Bubba comes to mind).
Up until now BHVR have handled this situation with as much respect and dignity as possible. I'm sure there will be more LGBTQ+ characters in the future and really for those who care, I think that's a good thing. But using already existing characters and just putting a new label on them can easily feel forced, rushed and disrespectful as a lazy attempt to create diversity without putting actual thought into it. And that would be sure to upset pretty much everyone.
In my opinion it is the right course of action to have most characters (with only a few exceptions) stay ambiguous. That way you don't alienate anyone from a majority of characters but can still add representatives of a certain group or culture for the people, who care.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3469824#Comment_3469824
I disagree. You can point out that there is a lot of representation in the horror genre (and you would be right) but that doesn't mean it's intertwined. When I think off horror I don't think about LGBTQ+ at all. Not even a little. If I see them represented, then that's perfectly fine and I'm sure there are a lot of people who are happy about that.
But really when I think about horror I either think of an uncomfortable atmosphere reinforced by the strange feeling that something terrible is about to happen or graphic horror like gore. You can have a horror film full of LGBTQ+ and you can have basically the same film without any of it. The only real difference is representation. (And maybe the setting. It'd be hard to have a film without LGBTQ+ representation set at a pride parade.)
Think of the original Halloween film for example. There was absolutely no focus on LGBTQ+ related topics and it definitely fit the horror genre. In Halloween Kills on the other hand, there is a gay couple. And that gay couple doesn't define the film. Because the characters are not defined by their sexuality either. Instead, a gay couple is used as a means for representation, which is a nice way to relate to a wider audience.
Another example are the Nightmare on Elmstreet films. In the first movie there is no focus on LGBTQ+ related topics and it is classified as a horror film (although you can't deny how goofy some of it is). Compare that to (I believe) the third one in the series where there was gay representation. Did it change the premise of the film? No. Could you have had basically the same film by adjusting only that part? Yes. Because sexuality and gender don't define horror and ideally they don't define characters (mostly because then you'd have to conform to stereotypes).
I was thinking to reveal all characters whatever they are (straight or LGBT+) but leaving them to our headcanon is also works. For example, Kate and Mikaela are straight girls for me but for someone else they can be lesbian or whatever they want.
I agree with you for new characters. They should leave existed characters however they are. We have no clue about most of them. So leaving them to people who plays them is good idea. But they can add new characters for different reps. Like lesbian rep or trans rep. I'd support this tho.

Today i tunnelled by Blight and i was playing Mikaela. Guy ignored everyone and only wanted kill me out. I was not using any charm, only Puppers' charm.
Guy was trying to win , very toxic and boring way. But it was what he was doing. Should i call him witchhobic? It's just not makes sense to me. I don't see anyone to target someone for character/charm etc. They are just playing usual DbD and sadly tunnelling is part of this game.

That's not what I said.
I've noticed in my own games, that whenever there is a David, they got tunneled out, always. No matter how much the rest of the team takes hits/gets downed for them and so on. Regardless that's a different topic.
I just don't believe that tho. I am not saying you are lying, i am just saying nobody tunnels David because he is gay. I don't think anyone is that pathetic. I play with Davids too. It's usually killer tunnels whoever gets hooked first. It can be Claud, Meg, Kate, Zarina etc.
I did not see any hate against David on my games. Maybe it's different for you, can't know.
