Love that you actually gave helpful tips instead of torching a newbie. This community is so bad.Tsulan said:I assume you're a new player.
Things you can do to avoid getting camped:
- don't start directly with the repair of the gen. Wait 30 seconds before even touching it.
- don't run everywhere. The killer can see scratch marks when you run.
- if the killer camps you, move a lot on the hook to signalize others that he's camping.
- if the killer camps, just do gens.
- equip Borrowed Time to unhook camped survivors
Hope this helps -
Yes!!ShrimpTwiggs said:First, I love this gif, and two, I completely agree. Killers need survivors and survivors need killers. Our goal should be to make sure that both sides are having fun, not turn the community into a war zone.

Until that changes. Until there is some give and take, and not just take take take there can be no rainbows and puppies.I don't think anybody is asking for hugs and puppies, but it would be nice if people could just stop being so savage towards each other. Survivors AND killers. We don't have to agree with each other, we'll always have different views (and no my views aren't always leaning to the survivor side). There is indeed a lot wrong with balance, but there is also something wrong with how communication goes. Someone writes a post and you can guarantee, killer or survivor, someone has a salty comment on hand because throwing insults or vehement blame is just far more tasty than a constructive dialogue for some people.
From what i have seen, survivors and killers have been flinging their *@%$ at each other since the game started, and nothing has changed. Nuff said.
I do my best when it comes to games, i don't do what most killers call toxic, and i'll congratulate a good game whether i win or i lose. Can't fix the whole community, so i guess i'll stick to keeping my corner of it clean.

Right.... I'm so confused.brokedownpalace said:
Wait, so the game can be played without survivors? 🤔Mycroft said:No, there really isn't any "both need each other" about it. If killers didn't play the game there would be no game.
-
Well it can start by just a few of us that read this changing our attitudes towards the opposite side... Killers HAVE to kill and Survivors HAVE to survive. Each side has to do what they gotta do and thats counter each other.. as soon as people get that, the sooner we can get this broken train back on its tracksDetective_Jonathan said:I think you don't understand. Even if both sides were to coexist, there still would be that small majority of survivor mains that think the game is perfectly fine. And some killer mains that think the game is not. There is no in between, there will still be survivor mains like Angrypug and Jendenise who have a skewed point of view of the game because they only play one side and say everything is perfect. There will still be salty people in the end game chat who want to bring you down because you killed them in a video game. There is nothing that can be done about it. As much as we want to change it, there is nothing that can be done about it.
-
Oh, well then yeah the survivor is just being a complete (male genitalia) in that case... If you don't mind me asking what are they going to do to end game? Im always late on these announcements/changes.Master said:@Michiko said:

I am really tired of survivor holding me hostage and sitting with their dark skins in some bush. (happening right now while im typing)
The only chance to find them is if the hair glitch reveals their position, how pathetic is that?
RACIST! I CALLED IT! Lol jk, but I can totally agree, playing killer during a stand-off at hatch can be a time consuming drag.
Im not talking about a standoff, I always concede the standoff lol
I am talking about gates being opened and survivor still refusing to leave and hiding somewhere or trying to bully you -

Yeah they added it a few months ago. Im on ps4, play everyday. They limit it to 2 people on the list but its only active for 7 days so people can't abuse it for unnecessary reasons. That's why I added the little side note of certain terms for a avoid feature because it works really well on Overwatch.Peanits said:@Michiko said:
Peanits said:I don't think so. Realistically speaking, even huge games (take Overwatch, for example) don't do it because it messes with the matchmaking too much. (Overwatch in particular actually had this feature on launch, and then removed it for this reason.) You end up with a bunch of people who arbitrarily say "I don't want to play against this guy because X, Y, and Z", and some the matchmaking struggles to put matches together without any of the people they're avoiding.
While we've got a pretty big community here, it's just not big enough to support that. I don't really think there's a single game out there that is.
I feel you, though. If you get stuck with teammates who don't do anything, I'd suggest grabbing a friend or two (or if none are available, checking the Looking For Players subforum). Even if you grab a complete stranger and team up, they're going to be much more of a team player than someone you've never met before and has no attachment to you.
Btw the avoid player feature is actually still in overwatch as we speak lol, it works like a charm to be honest. But like you said the player numbers on here are way less than overwatch so it would most likely effect the matchmaking.
I haven't played it in quite a while, but waaaaay back they removed the functionality of the button (although they kept the button, for some reason). Something something widowmaker player something something people don't want to play with someone playing widowmaker.
I don't think they added it back in since, but I could be wrong. Again, I haven't played in a long time.

I'm on console so its pretty hard to memorize names and also its rare people rat themselves out on ps4 xD but I'll try to keep mental note of survivors.Vankruze said:Honestly if I see somebody I know who is a straight up D bag I'll just flat out leave the lobby. There's no point teaming with a trash person looking to screw you over out of boredom. A little heads up though often these types of people you can check their profile they'll openly admit they are toxic and or treat people like garbage and don't care. I've come across 3 of those types of people since in the past week and all 3 admitted to their behaviour on their steam profile.

Chillax, it was just a thought that crossed my mind.OGlilSPOOK20 said:Then you'll never get a game. Game already has small player base and you're suggesting a avoid player system? Good luck finding matches bud. -
(EDITED w/ Response) You're absolutely right. BUT what if it was limited to where it can only be for 'X' amount of days and only 'X' amount of people can be avoided? Like on Overwatch they have it so you can avoid only 2 people for 7 days and if you'd like to reavoid them you can. I'm not saying it has to be exactly like that, but something close to it to restrict people from abusing the feature.holywhitetrash said:@Michiko said:
Do you think this can be implemented in the game? Just to avoid playing with survivors who do nothing that pertains to teamplay/co-op or killers that purposely face camp/tunnel? What are y'all thoughts?they say an avoid player system would increase queue times for everyone, think about all the players who would just "avoid" any killer who killed them, "avoid" team mates who got downed quickly, or killers who "avoid" any one who brought a flashlight or DS things like that
in short its probably safe to assume a lot of people would use it in a bad way
-
This is an amazing suggestion.El_Sneako said:Imagine a perk when every time you hook someone all gens that aren't being actively fixed start regressing, and all gens being fixed lose 6/8/10 percent of possible progress.
My intent with the perk is to encourage killers to chase and hook as much as possible and dissuade camping. Additionally, there is counter play, you just have to stop fixing every time you see the killer pick someone up, so the gen will only regress, and you can start fixing again.
But, there is also synergy with knock out, so survivors can't see when you pick people up, so that specific mind game is more in the killers favor.
What do yall think?

People have got to stop running to forums everytime something doesn't go there way in game.
-
I don't know if that was you insulting/being disrespectful to that person on the Dev team but thats so f***** up and unnecessary. Can't join forces with you, sorry.Sleepy said:I've noticed lately on the forums that surprise surprise, opinions have changed regarding the new killer. People went from saying "she's OP, she's great" to "she's weak" and that she needs changes.
I don't understand what the point is in making a feedback sub forum if the devs will literally say that they will not listen to feedback because "it makes the spirit OP".

This guy must be high.
So, since the devs clearly do not give one single [BAD WORD] about our opinion, let's also not give a single [BAD WORD] about their DLC.
Please, folks, let's vote with our wallets - If this gets deleted or anything REPOST it. Don't let them WIN.
We give them money, we want the changes we ask for. We're not "entitled whiny brats", we're paying customers who want a product to be a certain way. This is NOT a free DLC. We have a right to complain.

I'm a female and I don't feel offended at all by this... Some of you females are so extra it actually makes me sick. Women get killed by their husbands, fathers, boyfriends all the time regardless of race or culture. So do men in vice versa. HillBilly was abused and left to die... Why isn't anyone complaining about that? Like I respect your opinion but it's just unnecessary and doing the most right now.

Yes on PS4 people can send messages via a Friend Request even if you have public messages blocked. I think though that there is a way to disable Friend Requests, but that sucks because you have to turn it on again every time you meet someone you actually want to be friends with.

Friday The 13th actually had a GREAT counter to toxicity that was supposed to be placed into the game. Give em' a taste of their own medicine. Wish they would implement this into DBD.fcc2014 said:To be honest some of the messages people send are racists, homophobic, sexually threatening, and telling you to harm yourself.
