  • Playing both sides always at red ranks, at least more than 2k hours..

I agree with the op, that a hex counter doesn't impact the game too much, like mentioned, survivors already get the information about an active hex.

To force the idea to slow the game down by cleansing totems, just make all totems look the same way, no matter if they look like the dull one's or, what I would prefer, like the lit one's.

So, u know by repairing a gen, if ruin or lullaby is active, u see the totem counter, but u can't say, if u are cleansing the right totem.

Also, haunted grounds would have more impact, cause actually most survivors don't cleanse a totem, if ruin or lullaby isn't active.

This would close the gap between solo and swf, and slows the game down, cause survivors can't say if they are cleansing a dull totem or a hex.

  • Yes, thanks god for this.

I´m playing both sides, but i guess 70:30 Killer:survivor. Legion is fun to get to red ranks, but than u r screwed. Most games agaginst him are just annoying.

  • @Volfawott

    Got it :)

The OP may be a newer player, than it´s quite reasonable to think, Legion is really strong. The only defense u have is a pally, and he can vault them. When i started with DBD, every killer appeared quite strong ^^

Old Legion was absolute trash, annoying af, no wonder, most people dc´ed against him.

  • Hmm., playing both sides at red ranks, and there are definitely instant lobbys, for survivors. Killer may take a while, but actually Freddy's rework is out, so I guess there are more people playing killer as usually.

Useless perks from 'old days' are problem, at both sides. Just regarding monstrous shrine, the most stupid perk at the killer side.

There are a few perks needing tweaks or changes.

Endgame fixes the stupid hatch - standoffs, also has the killer the possibility to end the(lost) game, instead of having to wait for survivors to leave.

Totems aren't that hard to find. If u have problems with finding them, I would recommend to watch a tutorial from "OhTofu", he made a really good one. Short, there's just one totem per tile, everytime at the same position. If there is none, proceed to the next tile.

If the devs would just listen to killer base, Plague would still have her ptb speed while charging, nurse would not be looked at, and Enduring would still counter all stuns. I'm sure they are trying to balance the game for both sides, but regarding the mass of perks, Addon's, powers of the killers, maps and so on, this is quite difficult to balance.

Also, for whom are u gonna balance the game? For the casual player, than the red ranks, or those who play quite efficiently, have an unbalanced game. Or u'r gonna balance for red ranks, but than everyone below will suffer.

Camping & tunneling: agree, but sometimes its a tactical move, for example when one survivor is hooked and the exit gates are open. Leaving the proximity of the hook is just a stupid gameplay of the killer.

If course are killers faster, it's a 1vs4. Just to think about it: one gen needs 80 seconds. Let's say, 100 seconds including running from one gem to the other. If only 2 survivors are doing gens, cause the other two were chased, hooked and unhook them, your game ends after 300 seconds, including opening the gates. Within this time, the killer has to chase you, hit u once, catch up after the sprintburst from the hit, hit u a second time, grap you and hook you, than searching the next survivors. Repeating this 12 times to kill everyone. Not much time for the killer... Especially, when u get bs maps like all farm maps, mount Ormond, or any huge map. Or blood lodge, with an insane amount of pallets, most of them unmindgameable.

I would suggest, everyone should play both sides, so killers understand the annoying bs of being facecamped aso, and survivors would get a feeling of the stressy gameplay of a killer.

  • Why he needs to sprint is the same reason as a nurse can blink, a Billy chainsaw sprint and so on - it's his power.

Theoretically, he should be able to hit a survivor, get the information, where other survivors are (if they don't have the deep wound status), and get after this everyone injured. The idea was, to slow the game down by being forced to mend. As if he, she, they, however u wanna say, have a base movement speed of 115 %, they are at least dangerous, if u don't heal.

Practically, when legion is in frenzy, it lasts forever and a day to close up to survivors. If the survivor is looping him, he has to be aware of the pally, cause the stun from the pallet ends his frenzy. If legion hits someone during frenzy, the hitten one has all the time in the world to start mending, cause the mending bar starts going down, AFTER legion is more than 32 meters away from the survivor he hit. This means, if u see your deep wound status is regressing, legion is more than 32 meters away from u. If the bar stops regressing, u r within the 32 meters, so maybe he's coming back. Theoretical, if u manage to stay in his terror radius, u don't need to mend the whole game long.

I would say his power is more annoying than dangerous, but, on the other side, gives u good points for healing & mending other survivors.

  • Range addons are insane strong, make them rare and ultra-rare, and balancing is done, after getting rid of more than 2 blinks.

Yesterday i had a match against a 3-blink-ruin-ebony-nurse. Was she good? Not really. Even with the ebony, 4 gens got done. Did i ran her for 2 gens (Groaning Storehouse), yes. And i had a Rank 18 and a Rank 12 in my team, so not really the most experienced players.

The only 5-blink-nurses i´ve seen are absolutly trash, and after 2.1k hours i´ve just seen 3 or 4 of them. 2 ran also NOED, so yeah, i guess, the 5-blink-nurse isn´t the big problem of the game. Just get rid of those stupid 2+ blink addons.

The only serious question is, for whom u wanna balance the blinky girl? For an average player, who maybe isn't blinking exactly on point? This will leave her to be ridiculous strong in the hands of an experienced killer.

Or balance her so, that for example Zubat is just able to get 2 kills. This will make her unplayable for most other players.

It's the same problem with ruin: it slows down newer players, that aren't that experienced. More experienced players give a whatever, cause the great skillchecks aren't so hard to hit.

  • First, fix the maps, ironworks of infinite, the window at rancid aso.

Then close the gap between solo and swf.

After this, adjust killers, buff or nerf, to balance the game.

I’m not biased. But a SWF or a random surviving team can have the opportunity to do the exact same thing. Both can all bring insta-heals, toolboxes, DS, adrenaline, dead hard, borrowed time, kindred. Any perk that a SWF can bring, so can a random solo team.

a SWF can easily be bad or even mess up and lose.

so why punish a SWF team for actually working together and bringing on good teamwork? You don’t see call of duty kids who play search in destroy crying for a nerf because the other team who is using mics is telling each other where the enemies are.

    This.

Cause as u said, "a SWF can easily be bad or even mess up and lose", even a nurse player can easily be bad or mess up.

Any perk that a SWF can bring, so can a random solo team. CAN. There´s a chance, someone in a solo has BT. Dont know how u guys r playin SWF, when we play, the perks of all players are adjusted, i enjoy looping more, so i run DS, another one runs Proove Thyself, cause he´s the gen junkie, same with BT and We´ll make it. For me, i ´m running another build when playing solo as when i´m in a team.

But, whe have something i´d call "Hive Mind". We instantly know the killer, we know how much totems are made or left, and where they could be. We know when to do gens, cause someone´s looping the killer (of course in an area, where no one´s doing a gen), we know when to unhook, when the last genny get´s done, there are already players at the doors. And, we know the perks of the killer. Touch a dull totem at the start, Thrill pops, touch a gen, Ruin pops, after a chase SF activates, here we go, everyone know the build, even if he wasnt chased or touched a totem. No need to search for other dull totems, cause NOED is not possible to run.

So, we ran - without equipping this perks, empathy, kindred, aftercare, Open-Handed, and so on. And perks like Dark Sense or other perks regarding the killers aura r pretty useless, cause we know, where the killer is, no need for this aura reading perks.

Of course, a SWF-team can be playing bad. Same like Nurses. So, do we balance for the average player, where nurses and SWF-teams can suck, or are we going to balance for the god-tier-players? Balancing a Nurse regarding Zubat, Tru3 or the rest of them means balancing survivors around Pug, Noob and so on.

The only 5-blink-nurses i´ve seen are absolutly trash, and after 2.1k hours i´ve just seen 3 of them. 2 ran also NOED, so yeah, i guess, the 5-blink-nurse isn´t the big problem of the game. Just get rid of those stupid 2+ blink addons.

Range addons are insane strong, make them rare and ultra-rare, and balancing is done.

And, btw, regarding the CoD-kids: it´s team vs team, equal number of players, where both sides can give infos. Maybe i didnt got it, but from whom u get your infos about survivors. Just from yourself, no second killer is in the game. U have to chase everyone to know if he has DH, BL or SB. No on says me, where they are, which perks they are running and so on.

  • Great, i´m happy about it.

Maybe we can get the same Addons like the absolutly OP Z-Block, or those Legion has got. Hopefully, the minor tweaks to her power means reducing the blink range. Would be glad to see the base range nerfed. And maybe blinky girl needs a higher fatigue. Let´s try and give her the base fatigue Legion has after ending his frency. And, most important, the power bar. Pls implement a power bar, but - just for the fun factor - do it the same way like with Freddy, so she´s not able to blink from the start and has to wait for the bar to get filled. Would be awesome to she her hovering around with her 96,25 %.

  • Wow, sounds really good. Well done, probs

  • I play MM using BBQ, Ruin, Enduring & SF. Tried bout 20 games after the last patch using BBQ, Ruin, PGTW and brutal.

Addon's: the J. Myers Memorial and the Memorial Flower, I get EW3 quite fast and often, using brutal to keep the distance short when I have to brake a pallet, and the faster vault and increased lunge work in my favor.

  • Has anyone else experienced, that it´s still possible to vault blocked windows?

Had it yesterday at the fence outside the school at Springwood, and a few times at different windows. Being curious, if the blocker still doesnt work, or, as you stated, the blocker appeared just too late. ?!

  • Is this whole thread a bait, or should it be taken serious? I´m not really sure about this?!

    Regarding the points:

    • Teleporting to gen: First of all, this power needs to fill up after the match started. He´s the ONLY killer who´s in need to wait until he can use his power (which is, imho, bs). Legion, Spirit, and so on can use their power after the game starts. They are able to move faster than normal to the ruin or a highlighted gen (when using discordance). And if he teleports, this power needs 5 seconds, where everyone can leave. If this is the big problem, than good luck with Blinky Girl or Spirit, where u get no warning and they just appear. The only good reason to use this power is after hooking someone, u can PGTW a gen
    • Traps: Are bs, sorry to say. Same effect as the gas from the Clown, and Clown sux without addons. Even the Clown can through his bottles over a pally after it´s dropped. So, in which way should this snares be op? It´s the same counter as against Clown, just drop the pally, and fast vault the pally every time, cause same as the gas, the snares dont afflict fast-vaulting pallys.
    • Fake pallets: So u know, he has no snares, if u encounter the fake pallets. And he has to force u to this pallets, as the Trapper has to force u into his traps, same as Hag. It´s DBD-Memory, not more, not less. Yesterday a survivor "annoyed" me, cause everytime he saw i created a pally, he dropped it. So, same bs as with the Hag or the Trapper, when someone´s near to u, they just destroy your traps / hag traps or fake pallys.
    • Idiotic campers and tunnelers: this, i think, is the main problem of Freddy, cause he´s the only killer who´s able to do so. Kappa.
    • 5000 - 7000 BP and killer gets double pip: maybe aat green ranks, at red ranks this means, the game was too fast, the killer had no chance to 3-hook everyone, so maybe one pip. On the other side, if everyone had just 5 - 7 k BP, this means to me, there went something absolutly wrong.
    • Let survivors decide, which killer is released: of course, maybe than every killer has the movement spped of a non-blinkin nurse, and only feral frenzy as possibility to attack. So u just can injure everyone, but that´s it. Sure.

He is an m1 killer, that has lots of things going on around him so he can just relax and use 1 button to get the job done.

You say survs only have to evade, memorize, get awake, escape from gens and he only needs m1? seems unbalanced to me.

    I guess u missunderstood the definition of a M1-killer.

I honestly invite u to play all M1-killer, one after the other, and pls, relax and press just one button. But, stream or record it.

If u think, playing killer is relaxing, just listen to survivor-main-streamer, who dont play killer cause it´s too stressy.

"evade, memorize, get awake, escape from gens and he only needs m1" - just for the sake, the killer has to use M1, M2 for his traps /pally, Ctrl to teleport. Maybe "R" to drop a survivor. U r using M1-simulator, sometimes u hit space, maybe Ctrl to crouch, and Shift to run. Ah, sorry, forgot bout "R" to drop an item. Not that big difference.

U have to evade, he has to search survivors, and chase them. U need to wake up (i dont see the reason for waking up, but ok), he has to set traps or fake pallets.

U need to escape from gens, he needs to port to them or run to them.

He only needs M1 - and u? I nearly never play with medkits or toolboxes or so, means, my only interaction is M1 to repair, hittin sometimes Space. When i get chased, just Shift and Space. I´m not writing an essay while playing, that i have to use my whole keyboard.

just as Saveatznick said, at the end of the day, he´s just a M1-killer. No chainsaw, no puke, no hatchets. Just his bas attack.

And, cause i saw rants bout his add-ons in another topic - they r quite #########. A very rare addon, which comes with a hemmorhage effect for 60 seconds. Wow. Surely as powerful as prayer beads (also very rare). And once again, stupid timed effects, BUT... No exhaustion addon, as Huntress, Clown and Pig have. So, same bs as Legions buttons.

  • Everyone, who's not a hardcore masochist, hates this ridiculous grind.

But some will cry, cause they invested lots of time to grind, getting all perks. I guess, this is the problem

  • Wouldnt be surprised, if u just started with DBD.

First of all, this game isnt really good in taking new players at the hand and showing them what to do.

Playing at the lower ranks will make u feel, the killer is horrible op. Just cause of the reason, he´s faster than u, and the lack of good perks. This means, u barely have anything to counter perkwise, are really in need of other survivors to heal for example, and as the other survivors are also quite new, this becomes stressy.

As NuclearBurrito explained, there are much possibilities for survivors, to slow down the killer by forcing him to go around obstacles where a survivor can vault through.

If time goes by and u are more used to the chase machanics of DBD and proceed to higher ranks, u´ll find at some point a quite balanced gameplay.

As u mentioned, your son played killer for the first time with just one perk (means to me Rank 20, first game), and did a 4k - 5 Gen, i can guarantee u, playin at red ranks switches this complete, and most killers feel unviable, not to say power- and useless. Playin a ######### map against a good team will result in 0k - 5 Gens done. Also, the learing curve is, imho, for killers a flatter one at the beginning than for survivors. Playing killer means at the beginning, u dont need to do mindgames, u r faster, so u always catch up (cause survivors dont know how to loop).

I would suggest, to have a look into basic tutorial videos from YT, for example OhTofu did some vids how to use pallets and jungle gyms. Try to learn the different powers of the killers, and how to counter it. For example, Wraith gets a lil sprintburst when uncloacking, or Pig has a dash attack, where she´s sprinting to you. But, she has to crouch to trigger this attack. With this in your mind u can make decisions, for example leaving a certain loop and running to another one to counter the dash.

Than, get used u turn around your cam while being chased, some of my friends got really headfucked by turning the cam, lookin backwards and kept running into walls and trees ^^

And last but not least, try to get good perks. This means, level up survivors till their perk is teachable, unlock it and get this perk with your "main" char. Survivors have no certain power, means, no matter which one of the chars you´re gonna main, they are all the same and differ just with their clothings. This means - for example - play and invest the earned BP into Meg for Adrenaline, a great meta-perk. Same with Nea for Balanced Landing, or David King for Dead Hard. Maybe invest BP into Jake for Iron Will, and so on.

And than bump all your BP´s into your main chair to get the unlocked perks and be able to play with a useful build. Spoiler: the grind is ridicolous, even more, if u decide to play killer as well.

Just saying, learning this game and getting good perks will last "a few hours" ^^

  • @Carpemortum said:

Yeah and let's just get female Michael Meyers and a bikini Leatherface while we're at it because it is doable?

No. This whole "we need both options and genders for everything and every character" is ridiculous.

And that's coming from a trans woman.

    This :)

A shirtless Myers, and a "Beach Boy Bubba".. omfg, just thinkin bout Bubba in a bikini made my day ^^ - but, what´s the bikini made of? ....

  • Nope. There´s only one guy, nicked "Trappers Boy Toy", who´s always allowed to get the hatch in my matches.

But after being forced by this stupid emblem system to play as sweaty as possible, just to black pip, i cant give someone the hatch for free.

If someone DC´s or dies one hooked, u r literally not able to pip anymore, if the last guy gets the hatch.

    @LapisInfernalis said:

@Farlan You are honorable you know. I was the same too, when I started with DBD last September, but now, 1.5k hours later (yes I'm an addict XD) and on purple ranks, I can rarely be nice anymore because of how exhausting playing killer can be. I have seen the try hards, the toxic, the trolls... I have learned that your opponents won't treat you nice even if you are. I will still get the salt in chat regardless what I do. If I lost they say noob killer, if they were overly altruistic so I stayed near the hook they say camper, if I played well they say my add-ons are op or they lost because I did xyz. Why should I reward them? They wouldn't reward me either when they played well.

Some people are nice, and then I am nice too, but I have learned that I cannot expect mercy as both killer and survivor. So I do not have mercy.

    And this makes me sad...

And this, best comment i read today

  • Billy most OP killer.. wow. Let´s ignore Omega-Blink, Multiple-Blink-Nurses and Prayer Beads-Spirits, who have literally less to zero counterplay, but nerf Billy.

If they run ruin: learn to hit skillchecks, i dont see the problem.

Billy´s tunnel? Maybe DS, which isn´t affected by Enduring since the last patch.

  • Playin both sides at red ranks, i dont see that much camping when i play survivor. It´s already tough to pip as a killer. But i also dont tbag the hell out of a killer, maybe thats a reason for some killers to facecamp ?!

I can remember i had some killers, most times at green ranks after rank reset, that camped me cause "i camp everyone who blinds me with a flashlight ..." or other stupid reasons, or they thought, we played as a swf.

When playing killer, it´s situational. When someone´s hooked and the doors are open, what else should i do than to proxy?

Most times i was "camping", as states at the chat after the game, a survivor ran to unhook and í´ve seen the scratchmarks. This leads most times to a "ring around the rosie" around the hooked one: i want the grab, he wants the unhook.

SO, i dont see this problem at red ranks, but i´m sure, it´s annoying as -insert a bad word with F- at lower ranks, especially for solo´s, when the team dont realize fast enough, that someone´s gettin camped.

Then they should better make a new category, because the name KYF implies something different, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe they could also link to tutorial videos from streamers, if they teach new layers in those videos nothing toxic. That could also be a signal to some streamers that have encourage players to toxic playstyles in the past, because the ones who haven't do that in the past, get then because of the linked tutorial videos more traffic^^.

Maybe some kind of "Training Grounds" or so, simply nothin other than KYF, but being able to start it alone.

The idea with the videos is quite good, probs.

Actually, i play DBD every day, having 2k hours.

I´ve managed to get full-perk with my main survivor, Jake.

Killer-sided, i have all perks for Trapper, Billy, Nurse, Michael, Hag, Clown, Spirit and Legion. Huntress, Doc, Bubba and Palgue are P3 Lvl 50, but i dont have all perks. Wraith, Freddy, Ghostface and the Pig are still Lvl 50, not even prestiged.

Sux, with 2k hours .... And this is the problem, that keeps my friends away. When they ask me to show a match playin a special killer, and u have to answer, u dont have the perks u´ll need, after this huge amount of time i played.

  • Grind is huge, most good perks are DLC-perks (relating to killer-perks), and no way to train or improve ur skill except playing matches.

Would be fine to do something bout the, imho, stupid grind, especially for killers, as every killer has it s own power. Survivors feel like husks, have every survivor at rank 40 cause of the teachables, mained Jake, thats it.

Add the possibility to start KYF alone, to check out the different maps, try running loops, chainsaw aorund or try blinking.

Would make this game much friendlier for beginners, just my 2 cents.

  • Survivor: Adrenaline, just cause of the healing; OoO, looks like it forced everyone to tbag

Killer: noed, but most times u can tell, if a killer is running noed if he plays suboptimally and gets no downs. Special appearance by Billy and 3-blink-ruin-nurses :/

  • So, if i got the answers right:

If the killer is using an ultra-rare, that is not "fun", so it´s ok for survivors to dc. Ahm, ok.... So, vice versa, if i play kiler and face a Syringe, a purple flashlight or something else, i should also dc?

    I dont get u, sry.

People keep disconnecting for every BS, not as much as when the pips didnt get lost after restarting the game, but it´s still a problem. Dont like the map = dc. Dont like the killer = dc. Oh, it´s Spirit, Billy, Nurse = dc. Oh, i got hit first = dc.

If i would dc every time, my Ruin was broken within the first 30 seconds, i wouldnt play at red ranks, i would play at such a low rank, BHVR has to create.

Also, regarding the "fun" - thingy, and the - sorry to say - most stupid "why you want to play when you know you lost from start" idea: I really think, no killer should be made the toyboy, which u can loop forever and a day, who ´s giving u chase points, and than leaves u. As a competitive person, i play to win, trying to be as fair as the situation allows. But thinking, the other side is responsible for ur fun, is kinda arrogant.

  • It´s actually more annoying than it was the last patches.

Occures a few times a match and drives me crazy, especially cause i´m maining Nurse.

The problem of not recognizing M1 clicks only happens playing DBD, other games work well, so it´s definitly not a problem of the mouse.

  • Add something for every devotion, and u r done. Good ideas, probs

  • @ClogWench said:

I mean they got 5 gens done and found a way to escape. Not really a great example of the key being op.

Nope. No need for 5 gens done. If someone already died, and the hatch is spawned, EGC triggers as soon as killer closes the hatch, when the keyholder left.

Opening the hatch with a key before the 5th gen is done is as stupid as the possibility to mori after the first hook (changing Mori´s to be possible AFTER 2nd hook i´d like to see).

  • Imho grinding all Killers to full-perk to be able to play differentt styles, is ridiculous stupid. Most metaperks for Killers are locked behind DLC´s. While i have no problem buying a DLC, it means u have to grind this Killer, to get for example BBQ, Ruin, Spirit Fury, M&A, PGTW ....

After bumping a Killer u wanna play to Lvl 50, u may be unlucky and dont get usefull perks at all, to play the Killer before prestiging.

Same bad word with P I, P II, and after finally getting to P III, u can go full perk, and as it happened with Nurse, i got BBQ literally as one of the last perks, same with Ruin II for my Clown.

I dont play DBD cause i enjoy grinding. I play cause i enjoy the game itself, and playin it. But it fux me up to grind 150 bloodwebs to get Ruin I. Just annoying.

  • Rotating, and if i get annoyed of it, i usuallyswitch to Nurse or Spirit.

  • Playing every day, rotating survivor / killer and killer most time in rotation too.

At least once or twice a week KYF for training purposes, or as 'sherpa' for new survivors or killer

  • Probs for the work and your ideas

Yeah claudettes too but its rare. Everyone seem to play her nowdays

Stealthy char, good for beginners, and everyone tells u to start with her, cause of selfcare.

  • I guess, no one wanna blame a survivor for PTFO. There´s literally nothing else to do. Making the repairs longer is also something, no one with a working brain should suggest. The M1 - simulator is already annoying as hell.

Maybe some kind of toolboxes, survivors need to find before being able to repair a gen, or whatever. But in my opinion, it´s quite hard to balance this, would be a kick in the butt for lower ranks, where killers are quite strong, cause survivors dont loop and route optimally. So, maybe a second objective scales with the ranks, eg u need one tool for green ranks, two for purple and so on.

  • The funny thing bout this dicussion are the great hints given.

Run ruin, to slow the game down. Literally, ruin marks the spot where survivors spawn....

Run thana or thrilling tremors, or even PGTW. Yeah, great input. But: all of these perks request inquired or hooked survivors.

Playing survivor and killer at red ranks, no one gives a badword bout ruin, survivors r able to hit the skillchecks. Its just a skillcheck, not something like rocket science.

Playing a M1 - Killer like trapper, wraith, doc, myers and so one is a pain in the butt, when u have to deal with a huge amount of pallets at Blood Lodge, and most of them arent even mindgameable. Last week i had a match against the army of Claudettes, farm map, jungle gym with 2 pallets into cow tree into jungle gym with another 2 pallets.

And the argument, no whole team is using only toolboxes with BNPs may be correct, but only cause 1 or 2 of the team use instaheals. During the double BP event, and even now, i barely have a game, where arent at least one green toolbox and one purple insta brought in. I used all the BP to go full perk with my killers, and if i remind correct, i managed to to this with Trapper, P1R1, i prestiged Plague from P1 to P2, and some with Legion. Means, 50 webs with Palgue, 50 with Legion, 50 with Trapper for P2, another 50 for P3, and 180 webs to get him fullperk. So, 280 webs. As survivor i only play with Jake, he´s already fullperk. If i had spent this 280 webs for Jake, guess how many Toolboxes and instas i´d have. A friend of mine is nurse main, he´s now able to play 250 games omega-blink. Just saying, actually the armory of everyone is quite full ^^

If u r told to figure out new ways to win, here´s a suggestion from my side: dont play M1-killers with no anti-loop, try to get good with Nurse or Spirit, so u can deal with Blood Lodge, Ironworks of Infinite or other crappy, unmindgameable pallets. Feels fun, to have 16 killers to play with, and most of them feels like a pain in the a** at red ranks.

And yes, i would suggest i know how to play, devotion 7, 2k hours, and every season red ranks with both sides.

  • Emblem system feels broken as hell.....

If u r a good runner and keep loopin the killer for 2 gens, u dont get points for Lightbringer, cause u didnt got gens repaired.

If not many survivors got hooked, u dont get points for altruism.

Vice versa, funny survivors joining a game with toolboxes and mess up the Gatekeeper emblem for the killer.

And even with 3 kills sometimes u wont get a pip, as killer.

But the devs gonna change the way the emblem system works, i think, they said this during a stream, so the system allows the runner to pip, and also the gen-junkie of the team.

Hopefully, they also change the system for killers, actually it feels like u r forced to play the sweaty tryhard style to pip.

  • If u have troubles withskill checks, try this one:

You may know me from Metro/Narejj streams, or because of my youtube channel. Jk, nobody knows me I'm a French LoL and DbD player, currently studying IT and I like to make useless stuff like this.

Learning maps: Best for this is KYF, if u have no one feel free to hit me via steam.

In general, try to get an understanding, how the maps are designed. For example MacMillan Coal Tower: The coal tower and the shack are always at the same position, also the alley. But its RNG if theres a jungle gym, a hill or a T-L-wall, and so on.

    @GrootDude said:

I’ve been playing for a little bit over a year and I’d say both sides, you can learn the layout a lot easier that way.

And this, best statement. As killer, u remember, when a survivor lopped u forever and a day around a safe pallet, and vice versa. U get a better understanding of the other side,

  • Get you punished? Specifically on Billy, since that was the match I just played.

If i understood it right, and i´m quite sure i did, the Chaser emblem works that way:

U find a survivor, chase starts. U need to hit him as soon as possible, and the emblem system counts the seconds from the start to the hit. Than, it starts again, when u continue the chase, same way as mentioned before.

Now, the big deal with Billy is, if u chainsaw someone, u dont have the second part off the chase, cause the survivor is already down. So, u "loose" the second part of the chase, counting for the emblem.

Apparently a big problem for every insta-doown killer

  • Play as: Nurse, just for insane blinks

Play against: also Nurse, just love the mindgames between survivor and nurse in guessing the movement. And pig, if they let me boop the snoot xD

Absolutly suck against trapper, i´m able to step in every trap, whereever it is

  • Huntress: Iridescent head, makes her really strong.

    Nurse: Range addons in general

Billy: Carburator Guide, gives so much advantages

    Spirit: Prayer Beads

Trapper: not sure, iridescent stone helps, but feels not op, it just opens a trap

Wraith: Coxcombed Clapper, in addition with Ghost-Soot and with a good build really good

Freddy: Class photo or Pill bottle, not sure which one´s the best

Plague: Black Incense, great tracking ability

Clown: Redheads Pinky Finger, if u hit the throws

    Legion: Iridescent Button, insta-breaking pallets

Hag: really depends to the playstyle, rusty shackles i´ll guess

Mikey: prefer the J. Myers Memorial, love to use it together with the memorial flower for fast D3

  • I would suggest that u level your favorite killers till u have a playable build. Than u can spend the BP from playing with this killer into the bloodwebs of the killer u wanna level up.

Just remeber, the more killers u level simultaneously, the more teachables will pop up in your bloodweb, so the chance of getting the perks u want gets decreased.

For example, i have 8 or 9 killers full perk, actually going for full perk clown, and i didnt got BBQ once, while i have already 42 perks on tier 3. Bad luck, but annoying as hell.

all you guys know how to do is not balance a game . you favor the killers . you have no way to turn off the any the annoying chase music . you dont police the cheating . so many thing on the killer that give them the advantage . and you have no way to know what the killer is playing before the game starts . I think you should let use know .

So, the idea is that survivors should know the build of the killer before the game starts, as the killer also doesnt know the build the survivors use. Sounds really balanced, like a well thought idea kappa

  • +1

Would be great if we are able to start a KYF solo, as survivor or killer, to learn maps, try curving, blinkin or whatever.

    Good idea

@MarksmanSpecal Thank you for the info and actually giving good points. I'll keep this in mind. I'm usually calm but the game before this had me SO tilted and once I saw this game going to #########, I just lost it, Man. I always farmed during events because I want both sides to feel good and not shafted, Bro.

A lot of people know my name either, because I did great or because I pissed them off. Usually both. I love this game. On PS4 alone, I have busted my ass for years on this game. I bought a PC JUST FOR THIS GAME, because I loved it so much. Sometimes, I let my passion get in the way of my decision making.

I wanted to make points in the video. I kicked the gen and immediately talked about how it was useless. I'm ADHD so I enjoy talking to myself while playing. I like to pretend that I'm in the game. I also describe what I'm doing a lot and why. Not as much as a survivor but when people watch, I want them to learn something during. I want to be entertaining but also educational for new killers.

I post games whether I get steamrolled or not. I don't want people thinking, I'm some DBD God. Just some guy who loves this game. Thank you for giving me info on my mistakes and also some tips. I can learn from that. There are some videos where I just get wrecked by stupid choices and I point that out in older videos. I'm not too prideful to admit when I ######### up. I don't blame the killer when I lose for doing something stupid, and I expect the same from other people.

U r welcome, i know this games, when u wanna smash the keyboard into the monitor, and than through both out of the window. I feel ya :)

It´s obvious u enjoy this game, and yes, u r entertaining, keep on going, u r doing well.

  • First of all, pls dont missunderstand me, i feel u absolutly, and the last thing i want is to criticize. Just a few ideas from me:

Watched the videos, perks and addons r fine, but wanna say, most survivors are aware, that a high amount of Billy´s r runnig Enduring/Spirit Fury, and r dropping pallys a lil bit earlier than usual. If its a SWF, after the first used Spirit Fury, the combination ends up as two wasted perks, since Enduring doesnt affect anything other than pallet stuns since the last patch.

At 0:48, after the first hook, u chainsawed to the gen with the two survivors. Just wanna mention, u r going straight for the gen. As i m tellin all my mates, every killer uses BBQ, i m sure, these two survivors are also aware of of being BBQ´ed. As there is actually one survivor hooked, one u dont see (must be within 40 meters), these two r the main threat. U know, and they know it too. So, if they hear a chainsaw, they can be sure, u r coming for them. Billy moves with about 9 m/sec, they r more than 40 meters away (we know cause of BBQ), so they have approx. 4-5 seconds to move. Means, they can be at least about 16 meters away from the gen, if they react if they react quick. So, heading directly for the gen is not the optimal direction. Because its the annoying Thompson House, with the funny unmindgameable safe loops at the corners of the house, i would´ve suggested the survivors heading this direction. Maybe a slight chance to intercept them and catch them offguard, even if the term "offguard" next to the Thompson house sounds stupid.

U finally arrived there and saw the Feng, at about 0:56. Instead of chasing her u decided to kick the gen. Please dont do this. The regression is 0.25 charges per second, so it will need 320 seconds tp regress a fully repaired gen (if this would be possible). To shorten it, it´s quite useless, cause we saw 2 survivors via BBQ. U r able to chase one, so the other will head back to the gen, and at least tap it to stop the regressing. Kicking a gen costs u 2 seconds, means the survivor can get 8 meters distance, based upon the standard speed without using a sprintburst.

U found the Feng again, and chased her around the hay bales. Maybe, at the second round u were running, approx. 1:13, u could try to feather the chainsaw, in order to force the pallet drop.

At least at 1:17, maybe u should´ve tried to go for the chainsaw, and curve. The regular chainsaw needs 2.5 seconds, so with ur addoaddons it should at least be possible, cause u hit her with M1 at 1:19.

Jungle gym chase, pally gone, great. One pally less.

At 1:47 u chased her around the hay bales again. U pushed her counterclockwise. This ends up with u in the dead zone, and her heading directly to the damn strong loop. Maybe - no one knows - it would be better to chase her clockwise, so she ends up standing right to the wall, and force her to make the decision, if she´ll go again to the pallet-free jungle gym, or evade to the right.

Finally, she safed the pally, went for the house. U broke the pally using spirit fury, thanks god one of the strongest pallets is gone. No matter, if u chased her clockwise or not, next strong, unmindgameable pallet is directly next to this one. Not enough safe pallets at Thompson House, i guess, hoping this changes with the pallet rework.

At 2:20 u saw another Feng, working at the gen in the field. U decided to chase her, which is absolutly ok. A downed survivor is as good as a hooked one, in waisting time of the other teammates. U cancelled the chase, as soon as u saw, she was going for the jungle gym. And u kicked the gen. Just wanna mention, the survivors r holding a "safety distance" to u, let´s just say 20 meters, to give it a number. When u stay at the gen, she´ll feel safe crouching in the field, and as soon as u leave for the downed Feng, u can be sure, she´s back at the gen, within this mentioned safety distance. As said before, the regress isnt worth the time u r waisting.

At 3:09 u could have chainsawed her.

U left the chase, and went for the gen. Gladly, David was there and u downed him.

At 3:27 u left David, went for a chase, cause the Feng was still there, aborted the chase and went back for David. Leaving him downed, as said before, is absolutly ok, when u r able to chase and down another survivor. Picking him up and hooking him is also ok. But the way u did it, it waisted 20 seconds of our time, means 1/4th of a gen is done in this time.

And 4:20 u forced the Feng the direction i mentioned before, when u chased her at 1:47, ended up with her running around rocks and being forced to use a jungle gym without a pally, and downed her even before she was able to reach the gym.

Downed her, hooked her, chased the next Feng, downed her. Great job. Kicking the gen was subopitmal, as u have seen the two other survivors healing next to the hook, so, just saying, u gave them time to heal or evade. .

Didnt got it why u wanted to chainsaw the injured Feng? Just M1 her, obvisiously she had BT, cause of the rank u r playing. I would suggest, even i u would have downed her, she had a DS ready.

At 5:20 u saw the unhooked Feng, instead of chasing her and down her, u wasted 20 seconds lokking for a phantom.

After the unhook, u decided to chase the Feng to ur right, next to a pally. The other Feng ran to a T-L-wall, next to the jungle gym with the broken pally. Than u cancelled the chase, leaving the survivors without pressure. U decided to search for another chase, and ended up a the location u could have gone before, when u would´ve continued to chase the Feng.

In fact, u didnt apply pressure from 6:09 to 6:32, which ended in the loss of hex ruin.

Regarding the mindgame at 6:41, try to insta-turn, without doing a step.

Nothing to say to the tree, u already mentioned it.

Maybe u could have tried to curve at 7:11, direction left entrance of the pallet hallway, to force her away from the pally, or at least to make her use dead hard.

Same at 7:49, it´s a T-L-wall, try to curve, or at least feather and fake the chainsaw, to force her away from the window. Than u broke the chase.

Maybe, just maybe, u were able to hit the first survivor jumpin through the window, by charging a second earlier.

The rest was obvious. I guess, everyone got it that u were pissed off at least 2/3th of the match.

And i absolutly got the point, it´s annoying as hell not having the powerrole as killer. Most times our games rely to the faults survivors do. Annoying maps, bad RNG with pallys (had last week a "funny" one, jungle gym with 2 pallys into cow tree into the next jungle gym with 2 pallys, tons of fun), optimal playing survivors. After the double BP event, most survivors i encounter r running syringes or BNP´s, annoying as hell. But it´s good to see even big streamers as Scott, Zubat or True struggle from time to time when playing killer.

U r emotional, playing this game, which means u enjoy being competitive, u care bout ur playstyle and so on. It´s great to have such killers, forcing themself getting better. Just try not to be too emotional during the match, as u mentioned during the video, u r so pissed, u didnt even hit with the chainsaw. U r doing agood job as killer, keep on going with it.

  • Devs mentioned during a stream - dont remember which one - that they re gonna adapt the emblem system, so different playstyles are able to pip.

I see ur problem, annoys me also, cause at least u have to do every categorie to pip. Playin with friends resulted most times in black pips, cause one of us looped, another one did the gen-junkie, and the guy with borrowed / we ll make it did the unhooks.

Some matches ended with no person hooked, so, altruism wasnt a thing.

Same problem is killer-sided, gatekeeper is stupidly dumb, also u have to let unhooks happen, just to get the number of hooks u need, seems more like farming than playin the game consistent.

  • Finally, after 3 months of being deaf, i can hear a survivor again. So pls, at least try do not mess the sounds again.

Huntress lullaby seems pretty broken, agreed, needs to be fixed.

But it looks like the sounds are not broken for everyone, playin with friends prove, that they have inconsistent heartbeats, while mine was consistent, same with Billys chainsaw. Just guessing, the sound issues are not only game-based...

Btw, playing killert with 80% and survivor with 30% volume.

  • Leave Nurse alone, she´s alright. The range addons make her broken, not her power itself.

There was no counterplay to Legion, as well as Legion was able to exploit and moonwalk, without any chance to escape him.

Lookin at the datasheet from april, most popular killer at ranks 1-4 pc is nurse. Escape ratio at rank 1- 4 pc is at 80%. So, 3 of 4 survivors are able to escape, even if they face Sally most of their games. Doesnt seems broken to me....

  • Without any doubt killer.

Playin both roles at red ranks (maining killler), solo survivor can be annoying cause of the mates, u can get mates playing suboptimal.

But killer IS stress from the first second till the end.

Comparing both roles, i m able to talk to chat while playin survivor, except when chased, i m most times not really to do so when i m playing as killer.

  • 96 %, A rating. Sucked up with Ace :/

  • First of all, hey.

Would be a very long comment, if i´d write all down, what i´m thinkin bout.

If u want, u can add me on steam (same nick as here) and we can talk & practice KYF. Havin bout 1,5 k hours, most of the time as killer (specially Nurse and Billy). German speakin, but able to talk fluent english ^^.
