I'll take campers any day over console survivor teammates that hide behind gens and leave you dead on your first hook. Console survivor players are something else, I don't know if it is because it is easy to rank up against console killers, or what.. it just seems like they don't belong in the rank that they're playing at. Anytime I have an absolutely ridiculous game it is 9/10 times because my teammates are console players. The bad decisions. The lack of altruism. The lack of doing ANYTHING. I guess it is how we all played a few years ago or something and that is how all noobs are? I dono.. just anytime I see a globe emoticon beside someone's name I am very tempted to just dodge the lobby.
-
The higher the ranks you go, the better your teammates will be. It is like a night and day difference with my teammates compared to where I was back before rank reset.
-
I get to red ranks on both sides. Though there is such a massive difference in ability in survivors at red ranks it really makes me quite shocked.. could swear that sometimes I am playing just the most idiotic/dim players and I give them a bit of mercy because they're so bad, and they're rank 1... Killers on the other hand, at rank 1 tend to be a lot better and actually belong there.
I think that if I was playing the survivor version of myself as a killer that I'd not be too happy. I make mistakes but there are way too many broken locations to waste a killer's time (killer shack, jungle gyms, and the worst offender is buildings).
-
I play in the asian region (well used to until I switched regions), and it was quite common for the killer right off the bat to come directly to you, even when you were not near a gen or a totem or anything, and you'd think, "hey.. maybe they have whispers", but no, they never did. There are definitely people that cheat in this game with something like walls, but it isn't very common in NA/EU, however, in asia with the Chinese.. can't say the same, as they always know exactly where you are, even when you play a blendette with iron will, it's impossible to hide from them.
-
Ruin does jack squat if the killer can't pressure the gens, meaning that it is useless on most killers (only good on freddy, hillbilly, spirit, nurse and blight), everyone else is better off with corrupt intervention and pop instead of ruin + undying. The tinkerer perk forces a killer to choose between giving up a chase when they have the chance to down someone, and then chase the new targets off the gen... they play much much harder than the M1 heroes ever will. The only time tinkerer is pretty awesome is if you are within an earshot of it going off and can chase survivors off the gen. Otherwise, it is pretty much a dead perk.

It matters to me because they keep posting about heterosexual relationships. And they stated they would start adding LGBT ones. As a member of that comunity I am glad to be seen. 🎃
They added a shirtless David for you guys.

It goes like this:
Solo survivor: Extremely difficult to play until you get decent teammates around green/purple ranks, but even then, you get trolls. If you get to purple then things get easier as your teammates actually have a bit of oxygen flow to the brain. Green ranks - Grey ranks = people that are absolutely terrible at the game, once you go higher then the game becomes easier, though you deal with better killers that camp very hard and/or have an infinite supply of broken add-ons that they use every single game, i.e. infinite T3 or insta-down hatchets.
Killer: Very easy to play up until you get to around purple ranks and then all you get is 2+ man SWF groups that are usually all red ranks, so if you get to red rank as killer you usually belong there, but the game becomes unfun so I stop playing around that rank because you don't have the tools to beat good survivors unless they play very very very badly.
SWF: god-mode the entire time, only way that people lose is if they're completely new and/or trolling (hook-bombing constantly, t-bagging the killer and d/cing on the first hook, etc.). This should not have been in the game, but zoomers cannot play games by themselves apparently. This is what breaks the game as they abuse comms and are able to constantly communicate and tell each other where the killer is, and when it is safe to unhook/get off a gen, etc. The mode that is meant for people that are bad at the game and need a game mode crutch that cannot be countered.
-
When it happens once in a while? Not bad. When you encounter 2-3 man red-rank SWF groups a couple of games in a row and they repair gens in your face? Not good. You see how busted this POS game can be and how the devs balance the game around the bronze league players.
-
He is still only an M1 killer. Survivors that do the gens spread out will beat him every time. The higher the rank you go, the more you see this. I don't care if a killer can pubstomp scrubs. The scrubs play bad and don't deserve to be rewarded with a weak killer, they should learn how to play (do the gens and stop crouch-walking around the map... rescue someone when they are on the hook and don't just let them die...). Bam, you've just beaten every M1 killer. The higher ranks you go, the more "dirty tricks" you see killers doing to compensate for them not having a chance when playing versus optimal survivors. Stop asking for nerfs, it just exposes you, Mr. OP for being a scrub at the game.

I've been disappointing by every battlepass. IMO battlepasses have no place in paid games.
This right here! Warzone or Apex and all the other F2P games thrive with their BP because, well... the game is F2P. This game has a pretty high buy-in if you want to unlock all the DLC AND get a battle pass + DLC that continuously comes out too... it is becoming a little bit ridiculous.
-
It was a pretty lazy one. If you could do a repeatable blight pump for 25k like those archive quests allow you to do then it would be alright. I think that there needs to be more of an incentive to play. I have warzone installed and get to play against friggin' zombies (in which they never had in the game before... telling us they built these from scratch just for the event), and they adjusted the battle royale to be accommodating to this (adding in the nighttime theme).
There isn't really an incentive to play this, they make it seem like grinding for the BP cosmetics (that aren't even that great-looking) is something that is enjoyable. Why not have like a bonus BP for a certain killer each day of halloween and give them an outfit when for doing something simple like getting 4 hooks with them. Same could be done for survivor(s) except they could do a few gens... but no.. lol, we have this and it REALLY REALLY had 0 effort put into it. This is a Halloween-themed game and we have the laziest event to celebrate it.. way to go.
-
Yeah, this one and the blight chain-dash one is going to be very difficult to do. Good thing I just try to complete the tree for the decorations and bail after. Completionists might get annoyed though.

I wee bit older than a millennial here...
If someone sexually harassed your mother or sister, would you tell them to grow a thicker skin? You NEVER have the right to tell someone how they should feel about a situation.
To the OP,
I am very sorry you had to go through that. The word disability should never be used as slander. Keep your chin up, we could all learn a thing or 2 from you.
The difference is that people on the internet have no idea as to what you are in terms of gender/race/whatever, and talk smack to vent. This cult of personality that tries to ban people for insulting you over a video game is quite ridiculous. I am against silencing people that are talking smack as is known to happen in video games (you can't change the internet). The internet does not need to be a nanny state safe-place like how the rest of western civilization is becoming. Let people talk #########, and if you can't handle the heat then turn off game chat, it really isn't that hard.

Is it a millennial thing to have zero reading comprehension? You clearly didn't read the part of the post where this didn't bother him personally as much as it bothered him that people are just going around saying that to people who might take it a little more personally.
Which is good, because normal people shouldn't have to "grow thick skin," ######### should just be banned immediately and without recourse. If they don't like being banned, they can grow thicker skin.
Nice argument you've got there. You're demanding a person to be silenced for having a different opinion than yours? Yes, that is millenial of you. Off to twitter to rage tweet that someone "in this current year!" is disagreeing with you and your echo chamber. Fear me safe spaces!
-
Sorry to hear about that, but here is some harsh advice for you that you need to hear... grow some thicker skin. It's the internet, so don't get too bent out of shape over some person's comment when they have no idea who you are and won't think for more than a split second about what they've said after they've said it....
Is this a millenial thing? (I am a millenial btw, but everyone seems to get offended by everything nowadays.. the gen-z/soccer moms would not have been able to handle old-school cod lobbies or UT2004 when people could spam you with a lot worse).
-
She is fine. You can counter her by doing the objectives and if you don't 3-gen yourself then you've won the game very easily. You have 4 survivors, not two, so use your brain and crouch while near the hook, take advantage of borrowed time and most importantly.. you got hooked, so the killer doesn't have to play nice and give you a free unhook, if you know they're camping then do the gens. Survivors that do the gens when a killer is camping always will win.
-
I run the "noob combo" on both sides. Unbreakable+DS and Hex+Undying+Tinkerer for killer. <shrugs>
-
Please keep the cult of political-correctness away from vidya. Go be offended somewhere else.
-
I am a DBD vet (played when there were still infinites) and this battle pass has been tedious to the point where I stopped buying it. I play CoD and other games with battle passes and you basically level up the pass in that game and many others just by you know... playing... that is what has prevented me from buying their battle pass because you need to always worry about doing challenges in order to progress through this BP, and on top of that it gives you laughable blood points for the effort you need to go through (and the matches you essentially need to throw sometimes as a result of doing these challenges).
I think they can stick to keeping tome challenges around for those that like it for the extra BP and hook decorations, but for everyone else... if anyone is reading about BP feedback from the developers side... hear me out, the way it is done now has stopped me from giving them any money because of the way it has been done (it is difficult to progress through the BP... it is not consumer-friendly as it is now, and I am not giving a cent until they fix the way you can progress through the battle pass without having to grind 3-4 hours per day). It isn't fun to do challenges in order to progress through the battle pass. Let people play normally and nerf the duration it takes to go through the battle pass, it is ridiculous as is.
So...I feel ya, OP. I had gone from a person that played quite a few hours per day into a person that plays just to get the daily challenges done (and from there it has turned into me coming on every couple of days to do all 3 dailies and then playing something else). I miss the old days... (bit of nostalgia from how janky this game was), now it feels like they want you to do this as a part-time job. I can spare an hour or two per day, but 3-4 hours is a job. Look at how other companies are doing their battle pass and learn from them. This monetization system is pretty terrible for value compared to the other battle passes.
-
And it is what has caused me to quit. I hope the survivors enjoy playing against the sweatiest killers as that is all they'll get.
######### team with ######### decision making has lead me to bail on this game. I was a whale too, but I'll throw my money somewhere else now.
Peace out folks and enjoy this shitpile of a game.

Killers are lobby dodging toolboxes atm yes. It's annoying to play as killer otherwise especially with ruin gone.
I am not just talking about killers, survivors are too lol. I am guessing they got rid of dedicated servers and now we have people bailing if the ping is over 100.
-
It is so damn annoying with the lobby dodging going on right now. Always waiting for a person, then 1 leaves, and then an another.. and then one joins, an another leaves, etc. etc.
-
Not survivor-sided, but SWF-sided.
Most red rank survivor teams are SWF from what I've seen, and there is such a power gap between potato survivors and SWF that it is hard to balance the game around it. They should compensate solo survivors and killers with a bp multiplier so that it encourages people to go into those game modes, rather than just be playing against people that abuse comms.

You sound pretty entitled. Id love to face u...
Same goes to you. I am guessing you love hook camping and my comment triggered you? I love playing against campers when I am running kindred and they can only get one sacrifice.
"I only care about muh kills". -Dude complaining about ruin nerf because he never leaves the hook
-
I run empathy and my teammates still sit there squatting near the big pink aura near the hook..
-
I like the matchmaking you get too. Somehow you're green ranks playing against red ranks and whenever I play solo survivor as a purple I get yellows and greys on my team that probably attend special education classes and get dropped after the killer chases them for 10 seconds followed up by them killing themselves on the hook. Good times!

@BigTimeGamer said:
neither is huntress on most maps since the devs keep making them massive with so much stuff blocking LOS for hatchets
It’s exactly why I have stopped using her except for when doing dailies. Too unpredictable in regards to maps. If she gets a bad map then she’s a slow m1 killer.
-
The issue is that SWF is going to never go away, and the power gap between them, normal killers and normal solo survivors is so huge that it breaks the game.
I agree that fundamentals need to be addressed but how do you fix the game exactly? If they assume everyone is SWF then the solo survivors are going to struggle even more, I think the power gap between SWF and killers/solo survivors is too huge, so, perhaps they could also reward you for queuing up as a solo survivor with a BP bonus?
-
I agree with this list. Seems like someone that plays both killer and survivor has made it. Legion is annoying because if he runs sloppy and thanatophobia your team is going to be in big pain. Throw on dying light and yeah.. he’s just very annoying to play against, and every time I play against clown at red ranks he seems to 4K us because he knows how to use his bottles during chases.
-
Hi Fibi,
You could make it so they don’t stack. It frees up a killers perk slot this way and makes it so that survivors would not have to run into it so much. Killers could still run it though for a guaranteed multiplier, but they could also have the option of not running it in case they want to gamble that they go against a SWF group.
What ends up happening is that killers get compensated for their pain and SWF can continue to play with their friends and the queues won’t get hit so hard.
Before rank reset I had instant queues as a red rank killer and 20 or so minute wait as my survivor in the red ranks. This is only going to get worse with the ruin change so something like this could help in the mean time.
-
Suicidefox, red ranks is pure SWF on PC as well, the difference is that they are brutal to deal with as a PC player unless you play the broken killers, or use regular-powered killers and use broken add-ons, like hag with mint rag+shackles. I would like to see some high ranked console killers gameplay as I know people that play killer on console and say its not meant to be played that way.

Huntress is still really good on console and you do know that Marth88 uses a controller, right?
So does wingsofredemption. It may not be by choice.
-
Console players are awful in skill compared to PC players. I have seen how bad they are and they seldomly play nearly as well as PC players. I will list for you some reasons, and we can pretend that it is the same.. but look at this:
1) You always have way more control with a KB+M versus a controller.
2) The PC community is older than the console one for this game, so not only do you have players using better tools, but they also have been playing longer.
3) FPS issues on the console. You can't even play certain killers if there is fog as you get FPS-related issues, so the threat of a huntress or a nurse is nearly non-existent on the console, whereas on the PC they are a major threat.
4) Consoles attract casuals, whereas the PC community takes itself more seriously with their toys, they want the best of the best for performance, console users typically are people that don't care about having the best of the best for their entertainment, they attract casuals.
Feel free to post a rebuttal. But make sure to try and counter the point and not just try to insult yours truly because my points have hit to close to home.
What is the point of this post? To try and allow the devs to understand that the playerbase is diverse and to understand the type of user that they want to cater to. Casuals or people that have been playing forever?

Fun to play against:
- Bubba (usually because they play in a very predictable way which is fun to punish and fun to drop pallets on him when you know what he is going to do if he catches you).
- Hag (a lot of them are only playing her as a daily, and normally aren't very good with her/miss a ton of swings and it makes me chuckle IRL).
- Clown (a lot of them are memers for whatever reason).
Unfun to play against:
- Huntress (her hatchets hitboxes allow her to get a ton of BS hits and since she is slow she doesn't seem to go far from the hook and attracts people that play in a very "sweaty" way).
- Trapper (attracts people that seem to catch someone finally and not go too far from the hook ever and just chase the same person over and over again).
- Legion (broken killer.. annoying to be constantly injured the whole effing match and have them constantly do that to you on top of running thana+sloppy.. super unfun to play against).
Honorable mention:
- Plague (just find it is unfun to play against her because you get chewed out for cleansing.. lol).
-
Leave him alone.
But he does feel like the new "Bubba". Every ghostface I play against goes into stealth near the hook and just sits there.. so predictable and hilarious to outplay.
-
I have gone from a 50:50 to a probably 80:20 or 90:10 in favour of survivor playtime once those changes go through. I don't want to be a punching bag for survivors and have the games done in 5 - 10 mins MAX.
-
Played against a very cocky SWF team that broke my ruin before I could even get there and rewarded me with a t-bag and flashlight clicks. They got the gens done but fear not.. ol' hillbilly was able to down them and snowball to return the game back into his hands. 4 slugs later and we have a 4k ladies and gentleman.. and a "brutal killer". Somehow the survivors probably all pipped but I didn't even though I had the highest score.. lol.
-
Claudette has built-in camo. Same with Adam when he uses his dark outfit.. I have killers walking by me all the time. Lol.
-
BBQ is a mandatory perk for me to use on all of my killers. Only streamers don’t use bbq because they play all day.
Survivor side I always run WGLF and prove thyself. I manage to get pretty similar BP per hour on both sides if you take into consideration queue times and such using these builds.
-
I like your style OP, the only really funny thing though is you’re playing killer with a controller. I can’t imagine how terrible of an experience that must be.
-
@NoShinyPony said:
I don't see the need for this change, either. Bamboozle is supposed to shut down loops fast. I don't think it's necessary to surprise survivors with "hey, the window is closed now". Let them know that the window is closed and find another route to run.
Time to take off the training wheels. You're already playing the easier side.
-
Survivor main here:
The SWF babies here want easy games where they can fix gens and leave and get easy BP. They want gen repair simulator and they want it to be fast, easy, and have very minimal interaction with the killer. The only people that think having only one objective to do is enough is those that are actually bad at the game (the ones that are making fun of you).
I have like 5 - 10 minute games from yellow to red ranks because killers get smoked unless they play the broken nurse. All you need is one good looper and you are good to go. The maps need to be fixed and they should add an another objective for survivors so they can get more points, instead of just the generators. I max objective points super easy by doing like 1.5 gens with prove thyself and another person, and you do a couple of totems, get hit by the killer while they are carrying someone on the hook and you get super easy WGLF stacks. I end the game with 30-40k BP and have instant queues, and I have no idea why people wait for 10 minutes in a killer queue just to be cucked for 5 mins by gen rushers and loopers. Game is in a pretty rough state for killers unless you play nurse.
-
Thank god I have not purchased the DLC yet, I am getting the same error. Not giving dough to the circus.
-
They should delete her and then fix the maps for once and for all so all the other killers are viable. Sick and tired of playing her over and over again. Small brain nurse players will defend her to the very end though even though she breaks the game. She should never ever had been in the game if the main defense for survivors is pallets and windows (she ignores both).
-
Very odd. Against survivors I get a SWF with a red rank, some other purples, and a "rank 15", I am using quotations as they are not really a rank 15.
As a survivor I get even matches, or sometimes against a baby killer. I don't know how the devs screwed the pooch on this one, but matchmaking was never this bad before.
-

I hardly ever see OoO in red ranks. Maybe once a week with around 5h playtime per day. So i can only think about two options: one, youre really, so REALLY unlucky extrem, or two, youre just lying to get OoO removed with fake statistics.
You are a survivor playing with your SWF buddies, of course you are not going to see your friends running OoO. I just had a game again where someone was running it with a SWF. And again, the people that run it just hang out around a building hoping to bait you there.
I have seen it very regularly and people use it with comms (I play killer and I see it very often).
Just because you do not see it in your games does not mean it does not exist. There are people that abuse it very often. I have seen it from green all the way to red, heck there are even some people that use it just to be a dick to the killer.
And let us pretend that it was rarely abused in that sense, it does not change the fact that it is way too useful of a perk when you combine it with people that use discord (lets not pretend that you and your SWF don't use discord). It completely ruins the game for the killer.
I will continue to sit with them at the hook revving my chainsaw until people stop running it or the devs fix it. If you want to ruin my game, I will ruin yours in return.
P.S. I play more survivor than I do killer, and I play solo survivor to boot.
-
I just started camping them super hard. I rev my chainsaw by them near the hook and people for some odd reason don't get the message and try rescuing them in my face. Easy 4K, I should start just camping like an a-hole more often. I don't like camping but I want them to stop trying to ruin my games with their broken perk/comms.
