You implied I was "delusional", "dumb", and I had the intelligence of a "2 year old" because I don’t agree with you.
This is the forum of DBD, not your typical end game chat where you are free to be toxic and rude without consequences.
No, I said those things because you are wrong, not because I disagree with you.
This being the dbd forums doesn't make it much better, if at all.

Your insults tell me enough about who you really main.
Stating a fact isn't an insult. A killer shouldn't get a kill by being afk. Just because you disagree with this, doesn't mean I main something else, sweetie.

We already told you what the counter is. Read the thread. She can’t get 4k playing this way.
If you think the game should be balanced around 0k, 4 escape, then all of what you are saying makes sense.
I did read the thread.
You shouldnt get a kill by being afk. Even a 2 year old is capable of understanding this concept.

Lmao excuse-me, red addon pig has no counter. I forgot she is a god tier, game breaking meta killer, the queen of DBD.
Oh wait, she is not. She is trash and only good against baby survivors in low ranks where she grabs them off gens.
I main pig. Blocking a box has no counter.

It’s a red addon. It’s supposed to be strong and rare.
It’s unreal you keep pushing for killer nerfs, especially on a trash tier killer like Pig meanwhile the devs are thinking about introducing bots to compensate for the lack of killers.
Red addons should be rare, but they are not.
And there's a big difference between something being strong, and something having no counter.
-
I main both pig and freddy and I agree. I don't want her to get nerfed, I actually think they need to buff her crouch and ambush. She shouldnt be able to block boxes tho.

I think people are just being snarky.
if you're up against an afk pig, make sure to 99 the gens. pop them all at once, and you can get hatch to escape.
That only works in 4men swf in voice chat.
-
The audio sometimes messes up for me as survivor too. Rarely, but has happened, when I get hooked the audio just keeps cutting off. Solves itself when I get unhooked.
-
He does need a buff.
Only problem he had before was being able to stack slowdown addons + slowdown perks. But ofc, the devs had to nerf everything else even tho no one asked for it :)

Just by the sheer amount of dc's and suicide on hooks, I don't know how the percentage doesn't get dragged down more. Add to that all the Blights and Nurses going full meta.
Maybe I'm just unlucky in my region.
Oh, btw, I have a 99.9% escape in soloQ. Source: trust me bro.
Literally.
My kill rate as killer is 100% as clown without addons and perks.
No, I don't have any evidence, I'm just saying it here right now, so it must be true.
I'd love to see all these people who bring stats to the table show us some footage of them.
-
Yes.
It's the broken status effect. Other perks and killer addons also apply it temporarily.
-
Rancor.
I'm happy to go against everything else in this game, but I just think Rancor is BS.
You shouldn't die by just being hit 1 time all game.
-
@Norhc said:
All killers are viable. You just need to adapt your strategy and/or get good.
Disagree.
Some killer like Clown, Myers, Legion and maybe Trapper aren't really viable against everyone.
-
Tinkerer is fine how it is. I don't think perks should totally counter other perks imo.

No, no; we understand what people ATTEMPT to ascribe meaning too it.
What one person calls 'tunneling', another calls 'fair play'. There's no set meaning. Just a loose understanding of what someone's attempting when they scream 'You're a dirty tunneler!'. That does not mean it's the official definition.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2891167#Comment_2891167
K? Make sure the cat's don't push everything off, then.
You saying something doesn't exist doesn't make it not exist.
Tunneling just exist, which comes from someone having tunnel vision and focusing on another player, even when they aren't the easiest target, ignoring everyone else.
-
By that logic anyone who plays susies shouldnt be able to hook people who play david.
-
@AngyKiller said:
Tunneling does not exist.
If Survivors are allowed to go back to that 90% gen you kicked; You are allowed to go for the wounded, dead-on-hook Survivor they let slip into phase 2.
The earth is flat
-
Literally where tf is that pets shirt for him I saw going around? They never released it..........
-
Big waste because they wont heal 99% of the time. Reminds me the first time I played plague and I had this mindset of anti heal perks because they would be mostly injured, but in this case yes, they're gonna be mostly injured but don't forget they can only heal if infected with fountains, and sloppy doesn't affect those.

Facecamping isn't toxic. It's...obnoxious, but it is an actual ingame strategy.
Bleeding people out...in maybe 300 games I've seen this happen in one game where the killer wasn't heavily provoked.
Teabagging - sure? But only 2 killers AFAIK can even do this, and neither are commonly played. We're talking about proportional numbers here.
Nodding is tricky, because it's difficult to infer meaning. I'll sometimes nod/shake to communicate with survivors - as in, 'yeah sure, go open the exit gates' or 'no, I don't want to farm with you'.
Hitting on hook - yes.
Look: I'm not saying that there are no toxic killers. I'm saying that, both in terms of the games I play and the streams I watch, survivors seem substantially more frequently toxic.
Lol no. Camping can be seen as a strategy. Facecamping no.
Yes, but those 2 killers still exist. And pig is way more common now.
By that logic, teabagging done by the survivors can be tricky too. They too can teabag to communicate with you, point to ask you to go after them to see something. Yes context matters, but just because it can be used in farming matches, doesn't mean it isn't mostly used in a toxic way.
Yes, survivors are more frequent, because per game, you have 4 survivors and only 1 killer.

You ever get blocked in the corner by your teammates?
I've been blocked in a corner by both my team mates and the killer yes.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/317652/why-are-survivors-so-toxic
It's because, unfortunately, this game feels designed in a way to make survivors feel like gods when they get away, and this feeling of utter dominance tends to promote gloating.
The developers have also exacerbated the situation, with them stating on the forums that they believe 'smack talk' to be an essential part of online gaming. Although looking at the recent survey, this might be shifting.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886699#Comment_2886699
Yes, there are absolutely toxic killers.
However (unless you consider camping to be 'toxic') I see proportionally far fewer toxic killers than toxic survivors.
I think it comes from both the design of the game (killer tends to be very frantic and often feels like you're losing horribly until you eventually snowball while survivor tends to feel really easy and chill and then you die/escape) and the 'strength in numbers' aspect of playing survivor.
It's just the gaming equivalent of a group at school picking on the loner.
Facecamping, nodding, teabagging, hitting on hook, letting you bleedout on purpose. Are those not enough?
-
If you never met a toxic killer you probably never played survivor in the first place.
There's toxic people on both sides.
-
@Tiufal said:
So you can report them, cause its not allowed. Stop telling lies.
How is what he said a lie? Anyone who has been around for more than a week knows it's true.
-
Yes. Only killer that should keep default is trapper imo.
-
Lol no, it is not
-
I do and is trash on both sides.
Killer is against sweaty 4mens and survivor is team mates with 20 hours.
-
Pig. Most of them just tunnel while you already have the trap on your head.
-
Yes, this type of thread is boring and over posted.

First - it is a team game - even if you are in Solo Q.
If you really want higher MMR (for what really?) then play selfish if you have to.
Second - No, the game only expects you to escape - that is skillful - all else is just your problem.
Hiding all game while everyone else does gens, saves etc and you have the luck of getting the gate and leaving, isnt skillful.

Sorry that you survivors really want an easy game. But you know they need a stamina mechanic.
You want survivors to have a stamina bar, yet survivors are the ones who want an easy game? lol

Arguments from authority should be avoided.
However, when a very balanced, very neutral and extremely experienced player who essentially dissects this game for a living says that something is underpowered, they probably aren't wrong.
Just because someone plays the game for a living doesn't mean everything they say it's correct.
5,287 on record here, I have more hours than some streamers who play DBD for a living.
It's much more engaging to debate if a killer is overpowered/underpowered than listening to someone and be a sheep and having no formed opinion on your own.
-
@Bartlaus said:
Why are you still debating here? When a famous streamer like Otz tells you the truth, then internalize it and spread the news!
Because people should form their own opinions by playing the killer themselves instead of thinking everything a streamer says it's a fact and shouldn't be debated.

Survivors have plenty of way to counter killers, holding W is just easiest and strongest.
You are simply not correct.
Killers have plenty of ways to counter survivors, tunneling/camping is just easiest and strongest.

Solo Q: 9
Killer: 7
General: 8

@CrashMADDS13 said:
Yeah, don't count on it. They only patched sadako because it affected survivors.
Despite years of epilepsy concerns for killers and macro flashlights, actual player health will never be more important than a toxic survivors ability to harass and bully a killer player.
TIL devs only care if survivors have seizures.
Breaking news: Devs planning the genocide of killer mains, more at 8.
-
If you want to pip every match just playing legion. You can get a 0k and still pip.
-
If I see a survivor with a flashlight, I'll bring lightborn, more often than not I get free hits because everyone just assumes it's a really bad perk so they don't expect you to have it.
Never once in my games I came across someone complaining about me using it though.
-
Did a few days of playing strictly only killer because of tome challenges. Had way more fun than I've been having playing solo survivor.
IMO fun goes from 1) SWF 2) Killer and 3) Solo Q.
Sure I didn't 4k every match, but I always felt like no one was holding me back and ruining my part of the fun, which I feel a lot when playing solo q because of below average team mates.

Yes, it does require skill.
If it didn't everyone would be always escaping and solo q wouldnt be an issue because of potato team mates.

If it's EGC (since I'm not sure why someone would be spamming midgame instead of doing something useful like gens), evidently being far enough away makes them not go off (I think it was 48m away, something like that). If they're doing it midgame, I'd ignore them since if they're being annoying instead of doing something useful, I'm considering that a win.
So if it's EGC and you're just looking to not be annoyed, walk far enough away and then can vault spam all they want while you hear nothing over there.
I dont care about it in EGC since if I know they're already at the gates I just wait in a corner. I'm referring to during the match, and even at the start of the match.
For me it's not so much it being annoying, even tho it is. I just cant focus when there's a constant boom sound going on.
