The fix just went live.

Could always use Aftercare but ye, at the very least Wake Up! should get a speed buff in my opinion. No harm in insta opening gates when all gens are done anyway, at that point the game is over unless the killer has NOED and/or Blood Warden.
How about no. Why not just have the gates open on their own while you're at it? 20 seconds is already fairly short, the opening speed boost Wake Up gives is already good enough as it is.
-
On the topic of Spirit changes..
I think the new global sound Prayer Beads make it even more stressful than the old silent ones, 'cause you don't know if she's coming for you or someone else.
-
Oops hadn't seen the generator part. Yeah no. There's literally already a perk that does that.

I suppose. I just imagine sitting on hag and the survuvors thinking they are smart putting on flashlights and urban then I switch last second to a nurse with Franklin's. I guess it's better off them not knowing but it would be fun to get in their heads before the game even starts.
The hag example you just mentioned is one of the reasons they shouldn't do it.
Flashlights to counter hag or wraith
Object of obsession to counter stealth killers
Taking off medkits and healing perks against plague
Putting on calm spirit against doctor or clown
Etc etc.
-
People play differently against different survivors. They expect spirit to phase during chases so if you stop running they'll think you're doing it. It's all about mind games.

The fix to noed is to add a totem counter.
You can also notify the exposed status effect when it activates, but that's kinda inconsistent in the way bhvr codes that stuff into the game, despite their purported fixation on consistency. Haunted grounds warns you before anyone's hit, for example. Devour and Noed don't until after. And that's hexes alone, let's not even go over rancor/myc/iron maiden.
If you want a totem counter, run thrill of the hunt.
-
Hahaha yeah I didn't know about that until not long ago.. Found out about it watching someone streaming and they checked there to see who they were responding to in the chat.
-
I agree with the aura reading within the gate once it's been open.
-
I wouldn't want to see it prior to the game start, but I hope they take groups into consideration when matching survivors and adjust the matchmaking accordingly.

Yeah I know it'll be a grand time returning the favor to them :)
But honestly I would rather be a surprise for them to find out during the match, not before.
-
I agree, sometimes you get both gates on the same wall, or around the same corner on adjacent walls.. There needs to be a check to ensure the gates at least spawn a bit farther away.
-

Just have it so survivors can see who the killer is in lobby. I wouldn't mind that at all if it meant being able to trick survivors into thinking I'm playing legion just to last second switch to spirit. Oh man that would be too funny 😂
Survivors already do that, either switching survivors at the last second or everyone putting on a toolbox just as the game readies up.
-
No. Main reason being you join lobbies before confirming which character to play as. 4 different survivors have 4 different killers blacklisted.. Then the killer gets a message saying "no you can't play that one, survivors don't want you to.. Or that one and that one too.. But feel free to play that underpowered killer, no one minds"
Yeah no. Playing against different killers is part of the game. Learn to play against them and deal with it.
-
Yeah.. would be nice if they put the recovery at 2 seconds instead of 3.. so 4 instead of 6 before getting her full blinks back.. so one second after the fatigue ends.. or 2,5 seconds, would still be 2 seconds after fatigue ends but it would be better than 3.. or a flat 1,5 seconds after fatigue starts, no bullshit recovering the first blink while fatigued.. First blink comes back on it's own, recovery period ends, second one comes back a second and a half later.
-
I agree, even without a reworked system, emblems being turned into bloodpoints would be nice. 500 or 1,000 points per emblem quality would be good. 1,000 for bronze, 2,000 for silver, 3,000 for gold and 4,000 for iridescent (or 500, 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000.. because it really adds up if you get 4 iridescent emblems)
-
The rift is open for 70 days total, there are 70 rift tiers. So you really only need to do one tier a day and still make it to the end. Yes it feels slow, but only because you have two months and a half to complete it, it's not meant to be completed in the first week. Making progress go faster would only mean more tiers in the end to make up for it.
EDIT: but what I think you mean is, have it that way for people without the pass, and maybe require 600 or 700 instead of 800 experience points to get the next fragment if you bought the pass, as an added bonus on top of the cosmetics you unlock? I guess I'd be up for it, I mean it's not pay to win, it's just cosmetics, so why not.

I feel like the cool down was to put a knife in her and twist it. The add ons on old nurse were the issue and as someone who's played nurse I agree. Her new add ons are not any stronger than yellow rarity in my opinion so i usually don't use any on her when I play.
I've tried the fatigue add ons and they were ok and the range add ons make it feel like her old blink. But no add on will make up for literally having to wait to use her power.
Worse thing about the cool down is if you want 2 blinks you need to wait the entire time and if you time it wrong you are stuck with one blink which is rarely enough.
Yeah had that happen to me a few times.. charge up the blink a split second early, and only end up blinking once and losing the 99% charge I just skipped.
-
I played her again the other day for a daily, hadn't played her in months since I moved on to leveling other killers, and while I wish she had her two blinks back right away, 3 seconds isn't that bad. I never really used add-ons on her so I can't comment on the new ones.
-
I agree it would be nice to either have a daily on each side every day, or to pick one or the other, especially for people who don't play both. I do but I know plenty of people who only play survivor who get annoyed when they keep getting killer dailies.

The orginal question you responded to was if 5 gens are up and the killer closes the hatch...
That... cant happen...
This all hurts my brain.
Hatch only spawns if everyone does there job.
If anyone opens the hatch early everyone can just instantly leave... if you stay long enough after the killer closes it... that's ur fault lol it's like instant escape and everyone can do it at once you dont have to take turns
Oh yeah. The original post was with 5, but the scenario the guy mentionned was with 1 left ;)

?Question?
Why didnt you leave when the hatch was open ?
The person in this scenario is the killer.. Killer doesn't fit through the hatch :p

I picked up the fact that you weren't serious, but some people would agree with this kind of stuff nonetheless, and I'm as always too serious about this game when I really souldn't.
As for BT, without it, some games would be simply over if you get someone into the basement with the right killer, even people that don't usually camp get back to those unhooks
True. I still prefer going for saves without it since I usually make better use of other perks than that one.. Maybe I'll try it out more eventually, I try to do different builds on every survivor.. I have 3 fully leveled now, working on my 4th one. Same on killer, there are perks I really like but I try not to use them on every one of them not to play them all too similarly.
-
What's broken about Franklin's Demise mechanics?
Also yeah I hate when it does that.. either trying to heal someone and I work on the generator, or trying to pick someone and I vault a window or search a locker, or the worst one, quick jumping into a locker (in front of the killer, obviously) instead of fast vaulting a window.
-

While I get why you would say that, those are perks meant to prevent killers to take shortcuts into their objective whitout any form of counterplay, I took the habit to look at them as they were slowdown perks for survivors.
But quite frankly they're kind of a needed evil even though DS needs some work around it to make it less abusable.
As for NOED, make it just as good for good players and worse for people that use it as a crutch to get late kills imo.
Yeah I wasn't being serious in my answer, it was more of a "well if you take away something from killers, we need to take something from survivors too"
I don't use any of those perks, only time I used NOED was for the Tome 1 challenge, and I'm not a big fan of Decisive Strike (when I do equip it I get slugged) and Borrowed Time is something I don't see myself using since I'm not a big fan of unsafe unhooks.
-
I agree, it makes no sense to have 12 survivor challenges VS only 8 on the killer side.. :/ And it's going to be that way across all 4 levels, from what I saw..
Also, Sinner, at least it's only 1 dead hard .. and yeah I died when I did that challenge, but I knew full well I would. I did objectives, but went for bodyblocks while someone was being carried and dead harded.. they wiggled off, I ended up being hooked, but that's fine, challenge done, stacks gained, next game I removed the perk and played my regular build.
Can't wait for the challenge where you have to escape using No Mither.. it is a David Tome, after all. (sarcasm, by the way)
-
True.. But I already have all characters, so maybe someone else who already unlocked stuff on characters they didn't have yet can confirm? (but logically, they should be tied to your account..)
-
Weird choice indeed, considering this Tome is about Spirit and Doctor..
-
@Rasinbran said:
How about we make it so Rancor works when closing hatch? If only..
So when the gates are powered, not when all generators are completed. Agreed. But still, chances of the last survivor being the obsession are 1/4.. So not a huge problem I suppose
-
You should.. I don't see why not

150,000 bloodpoints is less then an hour of grinding playing killer running only BBQ, no offerings. Typically 4 matches an hour at roughly 600 exp per match, taking 4200xp for 300 shards at max shard per level. Meaning it takes over 11 hours of grinding to earn 2000 shards, while it takes less then an hour to earn 150,000 bloodpoints. Its a built in gold sink.
Oh, I'm aware. There just really aren't any interesting enough cosmetics to buy with the shards, so I use them to get bloodpoints for when I prestige someone, to get a bit over a million to spend on them. I use the default outfits for most of the survivors, I did spend shards on Jeff and Feng outfits though. As for killers, I only paid for the World War Nurse outfit since it looks nice, the rest, I either use the default ones, prestige ones, or some of the free ones from the rift (or a mix of all that)

Survivors complained about Ruin being too powerful, and it got nerfed because of it. You reap what you sow.

I agree.
But you could also have a DC penalty system that not only penalizes the DCer survivor, but his entire party.
.. why the entire party? Seriously.. If I'm teamed up with random people and one of them disconnects for some reason or another, there's literally no reason for me to get punished for it. Heck, even in friends groups, there's no reason to punish the entire group of friends for the actions of one of them.

Seriously? Honestly I think that will be too much, considering the fact that freddy teachables are end perk games that combine perfect with noed and slow/block the exsits.
Well, you have to trade the removal of the exposed status for something.. Just making the killer fast is hardly endgame Hex totem worthy.. Heck, it's hardly worthy of a perk at all.
Do bones, or die.

@emptyCups said:
So what does everyone spend the piles of shards on ?
Me? Experience points and the occasional cosmetic.
I used to spend them on characters (bought the Spirit and Doctor packs with shards, the rest with money) but since I have everything, I just wait for perks that show up for the first time for more experience points. (2700 shards for 250,000 points VS 2000 shards for 150,000 for perks that have been on there before.. so basically 35% more shards for 66% more points)
-
Because some people care more than others about leaving no witnesses.

@emptyCups said:
Offerings do so for killers
But only for the licensed ones (Pig, Myers, Freddy and Leatherface.. and probably Ghostface, too, bought him when he came out so I never got the offering but I assume there's a Splinter for him as well)
-
It would be nice if different characters had different stats..
Healing
Repairing
Speed
some would suck at one but be good at others..
But yeah people would just pick whoever has the best repair skills and genrush.. Nevermind that idea

The dumb part is, allowing a trial version of the characters WOULD get them more money. Wouldn't you want to buy something you've already tried MORE than something you haven't?
There's trial offerings for licensed killers, and honestly it's trying them for free that made me buy them. They could add offerings for non licensed ones as well. But trials for survivors is a bit pointless, since all survivors play the same, especially considering the fact that the trial killers don't come equipped with anything so trial survivors would be just trying a new skin.
-
Sadly they're in it to make money. They did put the characters on sale at 30% off in the in-game store if you buy them with Auric cells, and their associated perks are in the shrine.
-
Lobbies crashing is sadly a recurrent thing.. There are free weekends often enough though, and the game goes on sale regularly too, maybe give it a try again next free weekend, or get the game on sale, see if updating your graphics card drivers helps.. It's like $10 on sale so it's not too bad (but yeah it sucks paying for a game that won't work properly on your computer)
-
Try updating your graphics card drivers maybe? I had similar problems and they got fixed when I updated (through the device manager, the ones from the maker's website still gave me problems for me reason)
-
Really? I thought they said they had changed it so it remains from game to game?
-
I really like the idea.
And for those saying he's too big, clown cars can fit a lot, the marked lockers are clown lockers, they can definitely fit just one clown!

This more about sharing ideas rather then making perks that are ready set in stone to be added to the game tbh
That's fine :) just giving my opinion on them ;) but they're good ideas, with some reworking here and there

Imagine doing a 360 or any kind of fast turning in VR..

thats exactly what I am also thinking about it! I am happy that there are people that feel the same :D
Reputation could reset at the same time as rank, too. Or once a week. Or as you said, a decay, reputation earned lasts X days, so the reputation i earned last week would disappear but what I earned yesterday would still be there.

@Rasinbran said:
Perhaps award points for keeping them sick? Idk if they already do this now. Don't play the plague.
Good idea. Bit like the bleeding score point a killer gets after someone gets healed. A timer that gives 1 point per second of sickness (so if survivors spend 10 minutes sick that's 600 points per survivor at the end of the match on top of the rest)
