Absolutely with Wraith and Deathslinger. Those guys have been manipulated into killing through illusions, and with Wraith I'd say he's also been heavily tortured too.
Spirit could be seen as manipulated likewise, but also as a vengeful spirit her hatred knows no bounds. Like those ghosts in Ringu or The Grudge, her hate now is nearly uncontrollable. It's even stated the Entity struggles with the rage, so maybe it focuses her hate to aid control, so probably!
Not so sure about Hillbilly, because he's a raging monster, thanks to the stellar parenting he received. He slaughters animal and man alike, even before he was taken. Maybe he sees survivors as his parents, so he goes even more berserk, but my guess is that he'd be happy killing anyway.
-
Either Pinhead or Pyramid Head.
My money's on the Cenobite, but Pinhead would effectively have to disintegrate Pyramid Head, as I don't think it suffers from pain like anyone else.
Also, of Pyramid Head is able to slash Pinhead with the Great Knife, even a Cenobite would fall. So Pinhead would need to attack from a distance. Close-quarters would favour Pyramid Head.
-
The unbreakable-esque change proposed for survivor basekit really shouldn't affect many, with the exception of those who want to slug.
So, should a killer armed with Knock Out and The Third Seal go on a slugging spree, this would combat such playstyles which can become very tedious.
But they're still down for a lengthy time, and I've ever so rarely encountered situations where survivors have been downed for that long as killer.
The change is to deal with an unfun part of the game. A solution to a problem. Just like killers got mini buffs in that one patch to deal with how fast gens were flying, by giving them tweaks such as longer gen times and shortened recovery from successful hits.

i'd make them actually provide bonus bp instead of just filling the category faster
I'd agree with this. Perhaps make it so that the 100% BP buff can exceed the maximum BP allowed (so exceed 40k in non-event times). Or maybe it guarantees no Entity intervention for the next entire bloodweb level on top, sp you can grab more goodies than usual.

It's a shame you're getting the crashes and disconnects during your trials. My experience has been much different, with even dc's being less prominent than normal. However, this doesn't take away from the experience you're having, and the impact it's had on your matches.
But as for the sounds and pumpkins you're annoyed about I feel is nit-picking, and from my experience this event has been the best Halloween event for some time.
-
I'd love for Viva La Dirt League to do a skit on this, just to illustrate how stupid it actually looks.
But in the end, I just chase them out if there's absolutely nothing else to do, or get a drink or something.
-
To get to 24 hours requires many games for the player to quit from, which means many matches that player has ruined for others. So, no, there should not be a cap on the disconnection penalties. People need to own their actions.
-
Limited item: Proton Pack (from imaginary "Ghostbuster event)
The proton pack has a limited charge, but when a survivor hits a killer with it, the killer's speed is reduced by 50%.
It may not help a survivor being chased, as you cannot "run-n'-gun", but it would be good to slow down a killer who is chasing another survivor.
-
Pinhead's chains annoys me the most. Especially when trying to get rid of them by pallets, and instead it decides to slam the pallet down or vault over it.
I can get rid of the chains fine, but wish they'd at least designate a different button to rid yourself of them, so no accidental pallet or vault actions occur.

Another idea could also be like rocket league where you can vote for maps you don't like and if other people dislike the same map, it give that map a much less chance to be selected?
I feel that would fall into a similar category you mentioned earlier, although it does at least keep a sizeable pool of maps remaining to choose from, so it's a better idea.
-
Not a chapter, but as cosmetics and legendary cosmetics, I would say Ghostbusters would be great! I could imagine the cosmetics:
Legendary for Nurse - The Librarian (with the added bit of her changing from librarian to the demonic version whilst blinking
Legendary for Artist - Gozer (with added bit of crows replaced by the faces of terrordogs)
Legendary for Clown - The Staypuff Marshmallow Man
Legendary for Knight (and yes, I'm jumping the gun) - Vigo the Carpathian
-
I commented on your other post just now, but this post kinda links in a way to what I was getting at:
Although I wouldn't approve a veto idea, to make the maps more varied I would put in place a system which makes sure when 5 people enter a trial, the last map each player has been in is removed from the pool that can be chosen (with exception to map offerings, although I would reduce the likelihood of the offering being successful).
Were this to be the case, I'd be happy with getting rid of map offerings. But currently with the system as it is, map offerings have points where they can be welcome. And yes, I do love Dead Dawg Saloon, but after playing on it 4 times in a row, I tend to become sick of it.
-
Not sure I'd like this - I'd imagine the pool of maps used would shrink significantly. Also, in a 4v1, the killer will likely never get their choice (survivors would rightly choose a map beneficial to them and simply outvote the killer). So, this suggestion feels it has some problems which would need amending.
One possible change that may assist would be for the pool of maps to choose from will automatically remove the previous map each player has played from the pool. But I admit I'm not sold on this. However, at least it's an idea to encourage a change, and I applaud that.
-
Agree with this wholeheartedly! Still bamboozled as to why they'd nerf a killer in the same paragraph as they say he's right where they want him to be. Will support this change.👍
-
I'll be honest: I read the tips you gave, and the one about judging how far a Nurse will blink by how long she's been holding it has never, ever occured to me before, in spite of how simple the idea is!
I've not complained about Nurse in the past, although I do have difficulties against strong ones, but I'll try this info out and see how it works. Thank you for sharing!

K except you don't realize that unless you tunnel at high level of play you lose
It's a risk you take. Do you go for the unhooked in the hope of them not having it, or go for the rescuer who has effectively the same number of health states? It's a choice to take, but it discourages tunnelling and makes a killer think twice about an easy down.

Zombie got stuck on the gen, was able to finish the gen without the Zombie moving. 10/10 Teammate would recommend.
I remember that match, and reported the zombie for siding with survivors. BHVR still hasn't replied to that ticket, and that zombie continues to appear in all my games, doing nothing. Disgraceful.
-
It's not a huge issue for me because, despite its longevity, it is only active until you do something that progresses the game. If someone wants to get the most of it, then they daren't do any gens or heals in the meantime.
It's simply an anti-tunnel perk. It's not that much of an issue, especially now it no longer activates once the gates are activated.
-
Although it's speculation, I'd assume someone who wishes to "expose" the bug will also use the bug whilst it exists. I believe there is also a report button which explicitly highlights bug exploits as a reportable offence.
Also, if the bug was discovered and reported without fanfare, then it's safe to assume less would know, and therefore it would be less abused. In that respect, content creators bringing light to it - even if done with the best intentions - worsens the problem considerably.
-
There are many realms outside of the trials, and if the Entity has power within these realms, it's highly likely it can steal people from one and thrust them into another. I doubt it's short of food, given how many worlds and dimensions it can bleed into.
-
I like it. I'm not a fan that sone killers - such as the Artist - genuinely suffer because of the hilly terrain of the map. But it's different and has its own character and challenges. It would be sad if they tried to make the map more in-line with some of the more standard maps. The variety is welcome.
-
I agree. I seem to be rather lucky, and when they do occur it's normally when I'm killer.
The frutrating bit for me is, being empathetic with survivors, is that when I play as killer and this happens, I feel inclined to play a 2-hook game, where I hook the remaining survivors no more than twice each, and then after that they can finish gens and escape.
I know I don't have to do that, and equally see that a killer shouldn't sacrifice how they want to play a game because of that. I just feel for the lil' blighters and feel a 2-hook game takes them into consideration, whilst also allowing me some enjoyment of playing a trial in the process. Also, emblem and blood points.
-
Nah, I just go for whoever is nearest for me to hit. If a dingus unhooks someone close to me, it's kinda irrelevant which to go for, because they all take the same amount of hits, but I make a point of going for the rescuer. The only exception is if there is a gen close by that is close to being done, and the rescued survivor decides to go for that, rather than run away. That's their poor choice in the end, were this to happen.
-
The games have been vastly better than the horrible matchmaking before this came in. It's also trying to get the best balance of time waiting and "wins", which I do think needs looking into, but it has been so much better than it was before.

Yes! Silent Hill 4 is so slept on but I honestly think it stands up just as well as the first three.
I do REALLY want Valtiel as a killer because he/she/they (I really don't know lol) are super cool and their power would be super cool, maybe Angela and Eddie as survivors? I'd imagine that James woulda been the survivor but hes already a legendary skin for survivor.
Only thing with Valtiel was he was always a valet of sorts for God, so I see him less as a killer and more some form of bastardised midwife to God. Could be an interesting skin for Pyramid Head, although the Butcher from Origins would make an equally cool skin.
But Silent Hill 4 is actually my favourite, because for me it was by far the truest form of horror, and the more you delve into it, the more the cleverness comes out, such as Henry deliberately being made non-descript, because it meant the player added character and such.
There were some bad bits (burping nurse corpse monsters falling down a staircase is accidentally the funniest moment in any horror game for me), but what an experience!
-
I'm not fussed if they give her a new cosmetic every week. I just want those survivors who get less cosmetics to have their wardrobes bulked up a bit more.
Feng won't rock the Princess Heart outfit like Cheryl will though.
-
It doesn't feel in my games that Boon Totems are that much of an issue now.
Admittedly, when they were first introduced and they were healing at ridiculous speeds, I was really concerned for the game, but now they've been calmed down and perks such as Pentimento and Shattered Hope are around for people who especially are concerned with them, they have been changed to near-enough the right level of strength.
Maybe some tweaking, but I couldn't say why, what or how to, so they feel comfortable to me now.
-
I'd love to have a Silent Hill 4: The Room chapter, with Walter Sullivan as the killer, and with the victim ghosts as AI. Would be my absolute dream! Adding Henry Townsend and Eileen Galvin would be a great survivor combo too. I could just imagine being able to utilise the holy candles to ward off the victims, or even using a Sword of Obedience to pin them down temporarily.
-
People forget that, no matter how strong or weak a killer is, ultimately the players themselves have some of the biggest influence on how a killer performs. Case in point is Onryō, who is on paper a "weaker killer", but in the right hands is an absolute monster to deal with. Also, as someone mentioned earlier, she has a different dtyle of strength and play, which is the slug n' curse style. That is much more effective than it's given credit for.
It also depends on the skills of others. For example, I am more than happy to play against a Blight, but I have issues with Pinhead. My Wraith is far superior to my Oni. Skill is largely forgotten in discussions such as this, and it really needs to be considered more. I'd rather go against a decent Nurse than Coconut playing as Huntress, or Otz as Trapper.
-
It's poorly designed and makes games way more predictable, with some killers just aiming for a 4-man slug. The PTB showed this wasn't great in practice, and I dearly hope they make a u-turn on this
Easiest and simplest thing to do is make a cypress-mori base kit, with the Mori offerings adding an extra 1/2/3 Moris on top. That's all they need to do.
-
I much prefer the Silent Hill universe to the Hellraiser one, but Pinhead's powers, brains and influence is stronger than Puramid Head, who is a manefestation of guilt.
However, I'd like to think Pinhead would rather have Pyramid Head as a right-hand man.
-
4 on 1 numbers game would be too much for Ghost Face. If the Legion stick together, he couldn't overcome the odds.

I'm optimistic. It may not be the remake we deserve but it could be an interesting interpretation.
What I'm hoping is that this remake becomes a gateway to familiarity; bringing back probably the most influential game in psychological horror, which then introduces newer, more twisted takes on Silent Hill. The Silent Hill f game looks especially interesting, because it's showing a different setting and a different take on the otherworld - which it does need a change, since the otherworld is based on individual fears.
-
Silent Hill 2 remake confirmed. And honestly am not sure how I feel about it, but hopefully it'll be a good return. At least it's not a pachinko machine thingy, or whatever it was last time.
-
Good. I'm sure there was a reason they were down before, but it'll be better for them to now be back.
-
It depends on your overall skill with the killer. As has been mentioned before, whilst killers have been given tier listings, a lot more about how great a killer can be is down to the player and how they utilise the character.
If you put in enough practice, you can have the capability to win most of your matches.
-
It's definitely generous. I don't get to play often, and even when I do I get quite far in. It's really not an issue, and rewards time put in, which makes sense.
-
Not a good idea. Griefing would be an issue, and it's really naff anyway.
-
First of all, my condolences on your loss, and well done for fighting on, especially with your online addiction.
For me, I like a song which is quite heroic, a fair bit cheesey, and positive lyrics for a "running up that hill" song, and oddly 2 cartoons provided those moments:
Stan Lee: The Touch

I'm a 50/50 player.
-
Whilst I don't necessarily agree with some placements (just personal choice, and everybody's tier list will be different), I will say your list is the coolest-looking tier list!
Those backgrounds to each perk are awesome!👍
-
Good luck with your time away, and I hope your journey is fruitful. I wish you well.

The Magnus Archives.
It's a podcast, for one. But it has so much potential for both survivors and killers - in fact, the killer opportunities would be amazing! There are some great map options as well.
But also it kinda fits with DBD on some levels: the fearscapes; the archivist as a person of power; the Entities from both games feeding and thriving off fear; the entwining lore and bleak, cosmic horror - honestly, the Entity's realms are effectively fearscapes themselves!
Finally, to have Jonathan Sims voice the archivist as survivor would be amazing.
-
Although currently they're being sold as a limited time offer, the cosmetic may well be made available a ways away in the future.
Nothing is confirmed, which means they could just scrap the cosmetic and never release it again. However, if feedback is good, what would be the good business sense in that? It may not be for some time, but if demand peaks for the cosmetic in future, it wouldn't be hard to put it back on the shelf.
-
Since the creator of Art is reportedly hounding BHVR to have his film as a dlc, I'll back it. Although, I'd say most of these are great.
-
Perhaps a subtle hint for a "Total Recall" crossover?
-
Looks like they got outplayed by before the trial even started!

They aren't making any point about ecology of worlds and it certainly wasn't a mistake, the crows (who aren't even natural crows) were obviously sent by the entity since, you know, crows have long been established to be connected to the entity itself, Seriously it's not some big mystery.
Also House of Arkham entry 2 in Tome 12 confirms only Carmina could see the crows.
I know. I'm speaking light about it.

The image above depicts a grinning Myers; in the lower left there is a purple add-on called Tombstone Piece! You can kill Healthy or Injured survivors in Evil Within II with this. The lower right contains a Halloween only add-on called Blight Serum. You can use it to activate a Blighted Rush and zoom. The two add-ons together, active tomorrow, means Myers can speed around and kill people. It is a silly warning that their favorite way to play Myers is out, and I personally hope I will run into them!
In Evil Within II !?!?!
What Hell-on-Earth buff was this???? :D

It's not a matter of them being hard, they're honestly about the same difficulty level of baby dwights. The problem is to me, they're absolutely boring and feel like a chore to go against. Maybe it's fun, but I find hitting people 2000 times with no looping involved extremely boring.
Some are, and some definitely are not. For me, I'm not fussed, but I can see how their behaviour could upset others.
But also there are many swf teams: some brats, some very decent, some even happy to lose for the giggles! They make a decent percentage of players in the game, and although I'd prefer swf not to be a thing (purely for immersion purposes), I understand how important that playerbase is.
And there are a lot of nice ones who can make games very fun, but those who cause issues to upset others are a real disease amongst the playerbase.
