Just for reference this update is 22 GB and takes maybe half an hour.
22.5 GB for me and it takes as long as fast your internet connection is.
For me it will take between 4-6 hours.

I always thought ACE is gay?
-
Updates always work automatically.
No need to uninstall - except you don´t have enough space for the update.
-
Nerf Dead Hard.
Make it a one time use.
-
I don´t think it is dying.
But i think that there will be problems with new players if they don´t reduce this mega grind soon.
You can see they don´t want to because they can give no valid reason why they don´t just lower the bloodweb costs overall or give a permanent bp boost in game like 2x or so.
But people are leaving and new players come. But it seems a bit like fewer new players stay. And this will become a problem.

Get your TV Monitor settings right. Then it is fine.
If you have these automatic Contrast / Brightness optimizers on - turn them off. They make the picture worse.
You should see the different grades of the darkness levels - the automatic messes this up most of the time.
Get one of these photo calibration pictures you find online and use this.
-
Oh yes please. Neon map would be cool.
-
:-)
Saw a video where they took this Twitter kitchen picture with the differences.
There were Five differences.
If now a teaser with something - Night - comes...

If they made it a one time use I think they should allow it to be used while healthy.
That way you can use it to avoid a NOED hit or a chainsaw and the perk would remain viable without being a no skill or no thought required free distance button.
Hm maybe.
I think if you know it only can be used once a lot of people would be ok with that.
-
Maybe.
When the observer is gone it could be some DBD 2nd season.
Maybe they bring the big grind rework on top to help new players.
I guess it depends if the killer is indeed original or licensed.
-
No.
And not all would want to bring it down. They would want to be a high as prossible.
People want to see "skill ratings" and compare. At least a lot.

Really? For me, Tunneling was just the killer chasing you after you only just got off the hook, or knocking you down straight as he facecamp you. At least that was what I understood of the term...
In any case, that's what I saw on the forum here, people seemed to get angry about it, as soon as you save them from a camper, you run directly after them... As a survivor, I often have the case, to believe that I annoy the killer
Yes, that is mostly it.
But tunneling (tunnel vision) more exactly means focusing on one player. If you chase someone it sometimes happens that another player runs in and wants to distract you from getting the chased one. Often because he is injured and they want to prevent him going down.
If you ignore the distraction to pursue your down - which you should - you are already "tunneling".
If you go after unhooking you want to tunnel one out. This is hated the most. Understandably - but as stated above - you could increase your chances fo winning very much if someone is out early.
It is a circle of the game.

so according to you if the killer decides to slug me and look for hatch for the extra points I should be willing to just sit there/crawl around for 4 minutes and let him do so? Or should I be able to DC without a penalty? in actuality I should be able to slice my wrists and get out of it... but ya know the game is killer sided and controlled so that wouldn't make any sense amirite?
I don´t know. I always want my bloodpoints. If you dc you get 0 bp.

Play on console or turn off the chat.
Ignore messages from strangers on the internet.
-
Or get one of these neon outfits. Anti Blendette edition.
-
The old gens already can handle the little effects.
Real thunder or rain would mess the sounds but lightning strikes could be cool.
-
Just steam numbers.
But i bet if the general playerbase drops they will do something. But they won´t tell us.
-
Would be more like "2 people reported you for ..."
Just kidding. Why not.
But i am not sure how much upvotes some usually gets.
-
Man... just give this kid a hat... :-)
-
I break all.
Might not be very clever but pallets mostly screw me up. If they are gone and the game lasts a bit it helps later.
-
I guess some.
First idea is Pinhead with stronger chains and the cube to need more time to solve.

There, I think you misunderstood me (or that I expressed myself badly, it's quite possible...)
When I say I chase the survivor until they're down, it's not the one that comes off the hook
As soon as I find a survivor, I chase, until I finally catch them, op, on the hook, then I move on to the next one I find
In case I fall on the person I had hooked lately, I try to avoid him, until a moment when I find no one, I take care of him again, I try to offer him a chance, so that we both have a "good time", otherwise...
Camping, tunneling, I avoid it as much as possible, the rare times that it happens to me, it is because a survivor decides to stay behind me while I transport the victim to try to remove him from the hook, or because the one who just got off the hook said to himself that he was going to put himself between me and my "prey" to protect her... Never really understood this case, by the way
The only case I have the problem to not secure the down is when I play Legion
Ok, no, i didn´t mean that.
For some it is already tunneling if you don´t let go of them in chase. Which you don´t want to do unless you really can´t get them.
Go for the hooked surv immediately is just a high pressure to win.
If you rotate survs it is just harder for you. Good survs already try to spread the hooks among all 4 so that at the end you max get 8 hooks.
As killer you raise your odds of winning if you can get one out quickly. And the hooked is the most vulnerable.
It is as simple as that but of course unpleasant for the survs.
-
Just read the RPD threads and you get why there have to be dc penalties. Sadly.
-
Completely fine.
I also don´t understand what problem people have with this. It is not that this happens very often. At least for me farming is maybe 1 out of 100 matches or so...
-
That sounds to me there should only be more Ranks or the higher Ranks should be more difficult to reach.
-
Oh yes. i would love that too.
We already have some stuff like the rain in the wood and the snow on ormond.
-
Thanks.
You are already doing the right thing then.
You chase them until they are down. But this is part of where the "tunneling" complaints come from.
You have to do this because so you secure the down. If you only hit one and let them escape they just heals and your chase time is wasted. No matter if medkit or CoH. Even CoH elevated this.
Some time ago you don´t need to chase everyone down because it was not so easy and fast to heal.
A main reason for a lot of problems some killers now have in general is the much better ability to heal fast these days.
-
No offense but this simply tells that you have been lucky enough to not play against real good survivors or you don´t play "normal" m1 killers.
Before CoH a lot of killers could use the hit and run playstyle. Which means just injuring survs. If they don´t have Selfcare or a Medkit they have to find teammates to heal them. That all took time - also as healing was slower in general.
So as killer this could really build pressure on the team. If they can´t heal fast enough they maybe go donw on the second chase.
Strong medkits were already a bit of a problem because of the healing.
The introduction of CoH changed a lot of this.
One perk now gives UNLIMITED healings for the WHOLE team. Even alone.
UNLIMITED medkits.
The healing speed buff came on top. Even if this will be nerfed to +0 it remains UNLIMITED heals for the WHOLE team.
Therefore the speed nerf is no real nerf.
Of course you can snuff - but then it can just be relit.
Make this on the other side of the map and the killer can´t afford to leave gens to go snuffing.
Everytime you get hit in chase run to the boon and heal quickly. Then come back.
Maybe you can relate why this is considered a problem by some players.
-
Make it a one time use. I like this idea now.
-
Ups, really.
Played 1st and 2nd season on PS3. Especially the first season was amazing. Technically it had some hicups.
It lost a bit when you realize that your decisions don´t matter as much as you thought. But good nevertheless.
Never got to playing the rest.

You can do it with ds, bt and ub if you don’t camp/tunnel/slug. This is 3 meta perks useless
I asked about Dead Hard, not DS, BT or UB. For my part they are way weaker than DH.
-
If at all it could need a buff because it is already very fragile.
Every surv can just do totems and the perk is COMPLETELY gone before activating. (Can i do this with Dead Hard? I think not)

Yes, i would like to see it also.

Unlikely but we all still hope.

350 x 4 = 1400
man those Survivors you versed were so hardcore they had Dead Hard multiple times
And Im not talking about each Survivor having DH, Im talking the same Survivor having more than 1 DH
And 1400 x 4 Survs.
Cool stats!
-
As already said.
One of the main problems is the MMR score on kills/escapes.
The system may match perfectly but your MMR score doesn´t reflect your actual skill in the game. So the matching can be completely irrelevant.
They wrote that the team result should be taken into account. That maybe creates better results.
-
Oh yes, i know this with Surveillance.
Pretty annoying all gens are yellow with these perks.

The semantics are whatever. It doesn't necessarily reward bad play. It's just bad design to have it be a Hex that only activates at end game. A team isn't beating any good killer if they spend time finding and cleansing 5 dulls. And then you get Leatherface players who slap on NOED/Deadlock and facecamp two survivors while the gens are up, then NOED a 3rd if the timing works.
Just put NOED on a 40 second timers or something and actually notify players when it activates. It feels like BS. Your players have been overwhelmingly saying it feels like BS for years. Change it.
Thats what i mean.
"A team isn't beating any good killer if they spend time finding and cleansing 5 dulls."
They can do that - not everyone runs NOED - but if he has it - you haven´t beaten him. Because this is a part of the game you know about.
It is a gamble if you save the time knowingly. But then don´t cry.
-
@AngyKiller said:
Survivor input controls NoED, but instead they claim it 'rewards doing nothing' instead of the more accurate 'Punishes Survivors for not doing bones'.
Because one sounds like a flaw (It rewards NOTHING!), and the other sounds like a balanced perk & Survivor's fault (It punishes us for ignoring totems!).
But as we all know; Survivors are never at fault and even Killer's winning is toxic, so Survivors run around screaming the perk is OP, or unfun, or whatever. 😁
Right.
Doing the bones is also a part of the game. Not only finishing the gens.
You have to escape also. The game is not over when all 5 gens are powered.
Most killers don´t have enough time to protect all 5 gens from getting done. He has to also take the time after that into account.
You often see half of some games happen after the gens are done.
-
I am now for the make it a one time use idea.
-
I never dc.
But Trickster is extremely annoying. Don´t like him.
-
Make it a one time use. I start to like the idea.
-
They idea is to maybe make it a one time use.
Imo the biggest problem is how often it can be used.
-
Yes, you are right.
We talked about this in another thread.
(Basement) Bubba, Tier 3 (or Tombstone) Myers and Nurse are Killers that are truly feared by survivors.
Because all their saving toys don´t help them.
This is a really good thing. More killers should have that.
I hope they ignore the complaints furhtermore as often killers got nerfed if complained about long enough.

Its a solo game, its only team game if you play in SWF.
Focusing on SWF its sure way to kill the game, in dbd clones the games focusing on team aspect and noone of them popular
I only play SoloQ.
And i am a teamplayer. Mostly we win when we try to do team stuff. As solo you might get a lucky escape - but in my experience often not.
-
The simple truth is, this is a team game. If you team is completely down - you lost the game.
You can bring perks to help you.
If you didn´t bring perks to help you in this situation - where your whole team is down - you lost the game.
Just play the next game (it always sounds there is no next) - and maybe consider bringing a perk that can help you in that case.
I really don´t see any reason to complain about that other than complain about the game itself.
-
I am still wondering why it is so hard to understand.
Every - normal thinking - person thought when they first read about - we will use a hidden number - the BIG EMBLEM GRADE YOU SEE ALL THE TIME doesn´t mean anything.
Hmm... i think this will confuse a lot of people. At least this was my first thought.
And a lot of people are confused.
Because this is not how perception works.
YOU SEE A BIG NUMBER on your screen. You always will refer to this, no matter how often you tell, this doesn´t mean anything.
People would immediately understand that, if you show you MMR also. I think no one would have a problem with, ah, here is my player grade and here is my match ranking... ok.
-
Yes.
I still think it would be better if they create some kind of rank/emblem for your MMR. People would like to see their real rating the most i guess.
