A good change, definitely needed.
-
I think deathslinger may be the sole beneficiary. Possibly Legion if they manage to hit people close together enough for it to count. It's an extremely limited perk though.
-
Shirtless trackstar clown? I could roll with that. Something worth a legendary skin price tag.

Some of these heights for killers are way too tall. It's upwards of 8 feet tall. To be clear Michael was 5'10 in Halloween.
Always wondered about that. I mean look at Plague, damn!
Never watched Halloween but I'm surprised Myer would be so short. Out of anyone him being super tall seemed to fit. Tiny tiny Mikey is just funny to think about.
-
It's just for fun animations nothing else. Of course no one runs it because no one runs any offering that doesn't give bp aside from something that's auto win like a mori or map offering s because they'll be more likely to win. The grind is too much in this game to not run bp offerings.
-
I dunno, I think the DwightxDavid fanart one is the best quote by a longshot.
-
If they slowed down a bit maybe every patch wouldn't break more than it fixes. So busy pumping things out for $$$ that things stay broken for far too long.

The only buff he's really gotten is that he doesn't slow down when aiming his bottles. He still needs more tweaking, but it's nice to see that he at least got that. Now they just need to really focus on buffing Bubba.
You should give him a good shot and play him a few days. He's actually gotten a massive amount better now that his movement speed slowing power doesn't knock back his speed as much as the survivor it was thrown at. It's actually one of those gamechanger buffs
-
After the buff he's legit. Forces fast pallet drops giving him a powerful midgame.
-
Spirit. Reliable power, better map mobility, mindgames of doom, scales really really bloody hard with addons till she zooms like billy and can go for absurd amounts of time, can actually still get hits without her power as she can outrun survivors so she isn't completely and utterly chained to her power in every single aspect. Never stuns herself so always has a danger zone.

I've been using Ruin/Surveillance/Surge/PGTW on Demo - It's pretty fun and allows for continued tracking after Ruin pops.
I see you too are a man of culture as well. I see this build becoming meta soon.

There's a hack going around that lets people give anyone in the match a ban of any length they want.

Kindred, we're gonna live forever, lithe, stakeout. Gotta farm those bp you know. Sometimes I swap out Wglf and stakeout for ds and tenacity.

I never said it wasn't successful, and projecting your self validation leads on as ubiquitous of the fanbase, and that doesn't change what the fanbase is mostly comprised of. Plenty of adults like kitchy things, and FNAF is no exception to that endless list of mundane kid stuff that adults find profundity in. You're literally playing into franchises that are literally designed for younger audiences, as per the developers of your favorite franchises. Hasbro made it clear the MLP toy's franchise is designed for children, acknowledging it's odd brony man cult following and Scott's FNAF franchise was literally born from the ashes of Chipper, a failed but principally designed to be a kid friendly game.
No, dude. That doesn't stand up. Ultimately, the successful kitchy franchise doesn't have a place here at dbd, unlike other franchises that have demonstrated similar themes and tropes. I'd rather see Bender as a killer, and Id argue that with more passion than the most passionate brony that plays dbd.
Ha! I knew your response would be just staying a stick in the mud ignoring everything everyone's trying to tell you as usual.
-
It's oppressively powerful. Often giving nearly perfect info on every gen on the map most of the time. If ruin stays up you auto win there's literally no way to beat that perfect info. Most of the time it doesn't last though, about half of matches it lasts a whole 30s so I tend to go all in on the surveillance build, usually running at least surge with it. Surge also pops gen people are actively working on while ruin is up as an info perk but mostly it's there for once ruin goes down to keep surveillance running with a few kicks needed as possible. I also tend to run pop as well to have more excuse to kick gens manually as well because surveillance is worth every penny of an entire build around it.
One tip against it for survivors is to stop bloody gen tapping at the start to check for ruin. Ruin is almost always run with surveillance so it's just free info when you do that. Saves a lot of time when 1-3 gens highlight instantly.
-
Wonder if she just spawned there. Most likely explanation.

Firstly, those MLP men are animals and ruin everything.
Secondly, you quoted a bunch of content makers, like they don't actively capitalize on the younger audience as a market?
And thirdly, no I don't want to spend time on a FNAF wiki to learn nuanced and hyper trivial details about a character from a franchise that I'm not interested in.
I know enough to formulate the the FNAF is a fun thrill of an indie game, but it doesn't appeal to me. I can also guess some do express a similar concept or sentiment, given the variety of reviews it received on steam and here on the DBD forums.
Mm you really are just plain stuck in your mind aren't ya? I'm nearly 30 married and in my own place paying my own bills and I'm sure fulfill most of the random requirements you could decide you need to arbitrarily throw out there and I've always liked FNAF. Most of my similarly aged friends like it too. There's a reason it's such a successful franchise, it's because people actually like it quite a bit.
-
They are extremely fun to play and your not going to get stomped. Moderately strong as sometimes teams potato really hard against Legion.
-
She's definitely mid tier. I played her a lot for a long time. She's stronger than a good chunk of killers, but definitely worse than many, especially once I unlocked enough slowdown perks that her game lengths weren't so special anymore. You'll have a much easier time consistently 4king with someone like doctor for example. If you feel like playing brutally though she can be a good choice, she can definitely create a lot of pressure and get early deaths but that's tempered by those aweful matches where your rng just gives you the finger. Sometimes you'll win when you don't deserve it, sometimes you just get wrecked because all 5 hats got off in the first of 5 total boxes. No matter how much you stack the deck it's still a deck unfortunately.
-
He seems pretty good atm. I like playing him.
-
I feel while not mandatory they are definitely extremely powerful perks that should be run if you want to succeed more consistently.
-
Have to use the full tombstone if you want to do it. It's going to be a bit of a nightmare to pull off though.
-
Guess I'll roll with chains, the chapter I'll probably never buy. Characters are meh, perks especially on the killer side are a hard pass, it also brought breakable walls. They are improving those somewhat in the silent hill map where some are some very much interesting decisions but I'm still a bit skeptical.
-
I probably have to go with my setup for trapper. The black n grey armoured wasteland looking one but using the ornate mask. Looks great on the outside and great in match from first person too.
-
Hunch is the only way to be truly 100% certain there are no totems left.
-
Overall the game is balanced around slowdown perks not base speed. It's funny how much easier the game is now that I can run builds like Ruin, Surge, Pop, Surveillance.
Slow down is pretty much mandatory if the survivors are moderately capable of holding m1. Ruin tends to be the big one for me, if it stays up my split pressure style works. If it goes down having a backup plan helps though isn't as strong.

You can't "chase people into traps" if it doesn't exist. I was the first person she chased at the start of the game. If she sets it down in front of me during the loop I am just going to run to the next loop or disarm it with a flashlight. So you can run loop to loop shutting them down with a trap, and get absolutely nothing for it. Or you can spam down traps at your 3 gen or at the hook and collect free hits. This was a rank 2 hag, and I used to play a ton of hag at rank 1. She is for camping, her kit is made for it.
Even beloved streamers like Otzdarva call her best playstyle "setting up a web" which is a nice term for "camp this area".
Wow even worse hag than you made it out to be. So are we measuring character lethality by only the absolute worst? I mean a hag that bad may not have even known the hags basic key bindings at this point. By this point we may as well go by a nurse that doesn't know survivors can outrun her. Though you clearly have no idea how playing hag actually works so perhaps you don't know better. Yes a web, a web you chase people into. Mind-blowing concept I know. Completely shocking, it took so many posts for the big reveal. Plot twist of the century. Clearly haven't been saying this from the beginning.

She was literally the best killer in the game for years. Just because she got nerfed out of SSS tier and alot of people moved on, and the new people don't want to invest hundreds of hours into learning her, doesn't mean she is bad. There's a handful of streamers who still play her and they completely slay.
And a 110 killer with no power is definitely someone you can hold W against. The last time I met a chasing hag we would run to a loop, i'd run it once or twice, she traps it, and during her trapping I just ran off to the next loop and we repeated the process while my team pounded out gens. Then she finally left me, hooked someone, and put like 10 traps in the area around the hook and camped it and surprise; my team started to get murdered.
I see no reason to play hag as a chasing killer. It's not where her strength lies. She CAN chase, but as a last resort. Why not just play Freddy, who also shuts down loops with a single M2, doesn't take any time to cast it, is 115, and can teleport across the map with no setup?
Sounds like a Garbo hag. You chase someone INTO traps as hag so you are both infront and behind them simultaneously. Usually to the sides as well to be honest but you can absolutely zone people into even singular traps. But I mean, actually reading my last post wouldn't be a thing you'd do so I won't repeat myself.

I don't agree with that. Hag is a terrible chaser in that a smart survivor can basically just hold W and at 110 with no traps you are not going to get them in a reasonable amount of time unless they corner themselves. She is only really chasing multiple people at the same time if they come into your prepared minefield and even then it will quickly be depleted unless you have fast trap setting.
She also gets dumpstered by object of obsession SWF groups (who will usually have multiple flashlights).
I'd still put nurse above spirit because spirit there is ~some~ counterplay once she sees you. Nurse it really comes down to how good she is, and if you have dead hard. If nurse is really good with the blinks there is basically nothing you can do unless you happen to be near a huge building.
Well if the magical fairy nurse of legend ever actually appears I'll be sure to let you know. Theory craft and pre nerf ptsd is all it seems to me. Spirit only getting more rediculious if you start including addons. She can actually zoom like billy with perfect self control and invisibility. She can also actually walk places unlike nurse who has to put herself on cooldown to get to a position where she can even be a threat post cooldown.
I dunno how often you actually play hag but hag isn't actually slow enough to just hold w. She's no nurse speed killer. Having never picked hag against flashlight spam I wouldn't know, it's one of those things you can actually avoid unlike 4x deadhard groups and nurse. Anyway hold w is super strong against nurse, you can force her into cooldown over and over as she has to blink to catch up. Honestly as someone who loves lithe I just press w to the other end of the map. Nurse wastes sooooo much time trying to catch up at all and that's before the los breaking mind games and actual threat in a chase can even start. That's no theory craft, no amount of skill is going to beat nurses weakness to W because her mobility is actually pretty limited in practice. Can't do that vs hag, people try it all the time though, usually gives me a free hit because making distance means nothing vs hag anyway, I'm already positioned to zone them into a trap just by existing and giving survivors no way out decisions is hags bread and butter. Your in multiple places simultaneously the zoning is rediculious.
Seriously her blinks not special. Your not going to pallet loop a pyramid head either, or a Freddy, or a hag, or a spirit. Just being able to bypass looping isn't worth her perfection requirements or constant safe times when on cooldown reducing her ability to zone.
-
Nurse on tier lists is a bubble wrapped theory craft no one will actually touch. Being able to ignore certain chase mechanics isn't even special. A hag can deal with pallets and windows just as easily while chasing multiple people in different places on the map simultaneously yet people don't put her S tier. Spirits just as good as nurse is chase with far far FAR better map mobility and mind games.

Thanks, but it is Not easy to get the one who wants to get chased. Most of the time they Do 3 Gens since i got hin. And what to Do then?
One is doing Gens again, one on the hook and one ore two try to rescue. And the one doing Gens can destroy my traps because i cant go to far from the hook.
Almost every game i kill the people on the hook after All Gens are done.
At the beginning or in the midgame i just Hit them or hook them 1st time.
Ok i have at least 2 or 3 Red ranks in my game, the juke me if I will Attack and i Do very Hard to Hit them. Some idea i can prevent or how to Do against juking?
The best time to get someone who's following you to get chased is a well timed chase flip. If they continue to try and take agro while chasing someone else, still trying to pop traps, you need to very carefully time flipping to them suddenly. I'm not sure how good your tile knowledge is but you should be able to judge the exact moment they are somewhere that leaves them completely open and it's impossible to make it to safety. It's garenteed to happen if they keep following a chase and using audio to track their location while not looking at them is important. Once you injure them they'll likely stop popping traps for a time which lets you web up while finishing whichever chase you choose to target. You really do need to practice mid chase trapping as well. No one should last that long against hag as you can't loop hag, every loop should just sandwich them between you and the trap garenteeing a hit.
-
If you really want to hardcore wreck them I'd recommend practicing with shackles. You should be able to curb stomp most swf, even more difficult ones when they can never be sure if they activated a trap. Combine that with long grass like a trapper and they'll have a hell of a time even if they got a great set of eyes. Zero feedback for the survivors. Are they really popping any traps? Is it even dangerous to be here? Oh god Hag! It does have the downside of also giving the hag little information. Traps will often go off and mostly it's the aura colour change that is the most reliable way to tell a trap activated. The sound que is a heck of a lot easier to miss with shackles especially with chase music.
Aside from that make sure you aren't just blinking to traps willy nilly. You'll never blink and hit someone intentionally activating them. What you can do however is position yourself so you can zone them from safety by keeping the phantom up. Sandwich them as much as you can to put them in a lose lose situation. Step too close to the phantom and slap city, come to close to you ends the same way. They are coming for your traps, that means you know where they'll be coming to, position accordingly. Very effective even if you can't keep a web up and it's one of the things that makes hag a pallet powerhouse. Some duration addons and set speed addons go a long way for this strat.
-
They won't. Evidently they don't see an issue because they live streamed saying they had an ever changing meta. If anyone at behavior actually thinks that then perhaps it's merely delusion not lazyness.
Alternatively it could also be fear, too scared to change the meta for fear of effecting balance too much. Leaves everything pretty stale though knowing your opponents builds before queueing with nearly 100% certainty nearly 100% of the time.
-
Clearly the answer is all 3 with pop. Gotta kick em for fury anyway.

Spirit Fury becomes a wasted perk slot against smart SWF with voice coms. Tried the combo a week ago. I got stunned one single time at the start of the match and due to Enduring they ALL knew what I was up to and dropped the pallets a little earlier/JUST out of stun range for the rest of the match denying my Spirit Fury. It's only fun when people fall for it. Way too much of a risk for too little reward.
I dunno it's pretty easy force stun or death. If they want to let me kill them just to not stun me I'm cool with that.
-
Dunno what I was expecting when I saw the title. I agree on everything but casual mode because splitting the community is a bad idea, que times can be painful depending on time of day already. In the mornings sometimes I'm simply forced to give up and end up wasting all my time before work waiting for a match that never happens.
Imo toxicity is another impossible task, probably not worth developer time. Honestly it's not too bad anyway as you can't chat with teammates or your opponents so it doesn't impact game outcomes. Post match you just leave for another que and bam no toxicity. Sufficient tools to curb toxicity already available.
-
Game breaking no, but survivors love second chance perks though but also seem to despise noed for being a second chance perk. I just find it ironic.
-
Very strong with some slowdown and good chases. The tracking is probably his strongest feature though, especially giving survivors red stains. Corn blindness be gone!
-
You mean let people score and earn bp for what they do instead of capping it to increase the endless grind? Heresy.
-
Still waiting for people to put hag above nurse in these tier lists but overall it looks fine. Legion, and ghost face should be higher but as with wraith they are very addon dependant and it did specify the lowest addons. Clown imo should definitely be higher but as for where I'm not sure yet. Been finding him to be almost like a setup killer, forcing so many pallet drops that he's nearly garenteed to win if he has enough slowdown perks to keep things in line and he doesn't need to actually break many pallets so can wait till he has pressure to declare the map a deadzone.
-
Ruin is anything but weak. Imo it's definitely one of the most oppressive perks in the game. A hex perk worth the risk to be sure. Throw surveillance on and it's also the best info perk in the game too. It would definitely be a lot worse if surveillance didn't exist but because it does you can just throw surge and ruin on for the most deliciously oppressive info gathering and gen regression possible. Of course ruin will die instantly in roughly 50% of matches which is why you always need a backup plan.
If they made a nonhex version of ruin that made gens regress at 1% the usual speed I'd most definitely run it though.
-
Lets be frank we all know the actual reason. Everyone's out playing characters they don't usually play for crowns and don't likely have decked out perk builds. Most of my off brand characters have noed because most perks may as well not exist at lvl 1. What am I gonna do? Run sloppy butcher on plague or lvl 1 nurses?
-
Because crown is the only way to get survivor points as killer it allows passing the cap.
-
Mostly though if the survivors potato enough you can still land some mindgame hits. There's a reason it's a prominent swf map offering. It's absurdly survivor sided.
-
Because Freddy matches take forever and a day mostly. Between slow down addons and pop he's a hardcore m1 simulator for survivors with easy spam snares with no slowdown for him making chases boring too. He's definitely got the most boring slowdown to deal with out of all the slowdown killers.
-
Been maxed for awhile, long before the fourth page dropped.

Jeff is the loudest? Everytime I play Steve seems like I'm in a low-budget porn movie 'cause his moans are so loud hahahaha.
Ya Steve is up there but even Jeffs uninjured breathing is nearly as loud as some characters pain grunts. Very very easy to track uninjured.
-
There's a tutorial? Like actually a tutorial? When did that get added? As for perks ya it does make survivors pretty one dimensional. There are differences between them like Ace having the quietest everything, Jeff being the loudest character but the devs of course never actually tell you these things in the interface. Killers are very varied though, Much more about the power which can be extremely game changing.
Blood web is grindier than most pay to win mobile games which is certainly an impressive feat. Doesn't seem like the developers care how off-putting it is though.
