I remember when Hawkins was still a thing; it was, quite literally, the worst map that you could get (both as a survivor and as a killer). The loops are broken, some tiles have more pallets than they should, LoS blockers are everywhere, and the geometry of the map screws with most of the killer's powers, etc.
I understand that everyone is excited for Stranger Things to come back to the game, but how has this map not been reviewed before release? It's literally the same one that was removed, without a single change. I don't even think it would be that bad if it weren't for the fact that the spawn rate is increased, so it's all I've been playing lately.
I just hope this isn't a 'The Game' scenario where the devs pretend it isn't an issue for years
while the map isnt good , to be fair i still think RPD / garden of joy are the worst maps in the game.

Not going to get into whether or not the perk deserved it because been discussed to death. But let's be clear right away.
MFT isn't worth taking.
Let's also look at everyone saying DH is better with it now. This is incorrect, it's now a lot worse as a combo.
Before the nerf, you'd use MFT to stack bloodlust by greeding pallets and then get a reset with a hopefully successful DH hit.
Now in order to get value from MFT three conditions must be met.
- You must get hooked, if you don't both perks are essentially useless. DH less so since you can only use it twice anyways.
- You have to land a successful DH which contrary to popular belief is not easy.
- The killer must continue chasing you after you land DH which is very unlikely since killers dislike elongated chases as it loses a lot of pressure.
This means that getting value from MFT is going to be incredibly inconsistent which puts the perk in the trash. A 3% speed boost is not nearly effective enough to warrant the dangers of being in mending.
You are much better off running WoO instead.
Again not arguing if the nerf is justified, but clarifying that if this change goes live the perk will be in a horrendous state.
I personally dislike perks being dependent on others for value. This works for killers because their powers supplement their perks and usually add free perks.
Survivors are a lot more limited. Forcing perk synergy to get the effect one perk used to have only reduces perk variety because people will just not bring the bad perks at all.
Thoughts?
get good , if you need MFT to have fun , you are just bad at the game , simple as that.
survivors are limited ? since when ? survivor had more variety than killers they just prefer running the same meta stuff because they feel comfy with broken stuff and thats a fact.
and yes the point was making the perk more situational , 3% is a strong effect , and not only that they didnt talked about adding a cap to stacking haste perks , you can still use it with OTR + DH and HOPE on top if you really want to use MFT.

I’ll admit, I used MFT when it was new and kinda liked the perk, but I stopped using the perk for 2 months now cuz I knew it was gonna get nerfed anyway and I was tired of rocking the same build every game, it gets really stale at some point.
But yeah, I see everyone being really happy about MFT getting nerfed next update. Personally, i don’t even care about it cuz I don’t use it anymore. But are you guys more happy about MFT getting nerfed or when OG Dead Hard was nerfed in 6.1?
happy and confuse at the same time , this technically still makes killers than inflict deep wound like legion and slinger weaker against the perk so idk how i feel about that ; also with this changes they are promoting the hit and run playstyle which isnt fun for those killers neither the survivors.
also they just made "hope+ mft + sprint burst" now the most powerful combo when running a medkit - styptic.

I don't want it to keep the same purpose, of bringing the haunt into the map, but I think the void is the perfect addition to the game to help the survivor/killer imbalance AND shake up the games a little bit in the same sweep.
The void is a great way to give those non mobile killers a reasonable way to traverse across the map, meaning more diverse killer builds so more fun for everyone, and slows down the game just a bit, so again, less gen slow down perks on killers and more interaction between killer and survivor for more exciting games. I'd change a few things about the void:
-make it so that the survivors know when a killer enters the void, maybe have the portal change color when the killer is coming out so they have a chance to leave a gen if the killer is coming to use pop or something, also opens up mind games with perks like dead lock.
-make the survivors need to pull multiple levers or something instead of the haunt, maybe add a lever every time a gen is completed so the survivors can choose when they want to pull them, also slightly hindering gen rush strats, while adding more mind games on the survivors side, awarding them time to do gens if they can trick the killer into taking the portal
The loops themselves are strong which I think is fine if the void stays this small, but maybe allowing killer powers in exchange for better loops and more space is smart. I'm not sure exactly how to balance this but I really hope this is bhvr testing the waters with a secondary survivor goal/way to help killers weaknesses
cought cought void is literally already survivor sided and you want that on all the maps?
yaaay lets make already bad maps into heaven for killers , we love endurance and haste that only take 4 seconds to gain as survivor and it last 15 seconds or more to end
NOT TO MENTION THAT STACKS WITH MFT AND HOPE BTW. -
@Chaogod said:
A-are you serious? Are we playing the same game? The game has so much safety nets for survivor that it's insane. Gens go extremely fast and the game constantly forgives you for making mistakes. On top of an event that has WAY better benefits for you. Meanwhile killer is constantly punished for playing well and continues to get more and more restrictions.
I do agree with you to some extents about the second chances for survivors on this event BUT balancing the game around a bug that basically makes fast vaulting useless which lead to awful experiences against any killer because your timming is just totally incorrect with the current vaults on females is just silly dude , killers dont need that to be playable.
I want maps to be balanced? YES , I want MFT to be nerfed? hell YEAH , I want low tier killer buffs? TOTALLY.
but i dont want the game to be balanced around a mechanic being broken for the sake of making the other side more easier + vaults are already terrible against laggy killers before being broken , but now is just totally BS for females once again.
@Xernoton said:
I saw someone say that female survivors vault slower again. Is that actually true? I didn't notice it yet.
they vault at the same speed , however they no longer gain any distance from the window and you have to move forward after fully fast vaulting to prevent getting hit ; now add latency on top and yeah...is just terrible for females.

already confirmed to be not intended and that it will be adressed in the future HOWEVER its been months..sooo ....yeah
they also mentioned that they will change his addons but once again no info about it yet.
BHVR moment. also they broke fast vaults on females again with todays patch ....yikes .
Am telling you dude the day BHVR announce the hug tech removal people that rely on that tech are gonna be spamming blight is dead on the forums like crazy , the same with the MFT nerf for busted survivors.

I'm sorry but she seriously has no natural counter aka not having to buy someone to counter one killer no other killer is like this as much as I hate Wraith his counter is at least easy to know since it's in the game. Killer counters always fall into some kind of category. Environmental,Visual, Audioable with some fitting into other categories as well
Environmental: Killers like Hillbilly, Leatherface, Nurse(near), Blight(Close or in sight) and Cenobite to name a few. To counter them you use the Environment rocks, trees and such to either stun them or get them stuck for a short bit to gain some distance.
Visual: Killers like Trapper, Hag and Demo, also to name a few. They're power is all over the ground and or map while most players seem to ignore that fact their there it's easy to counter as example Hag you just need to crouch and whip away and Trapper keep an eye out and disarm.
Audioable: Artist, Onyro, Dredge, Nurse(far), Blight(Mid or out of sight), Wraith also to name a few. These Killers powers rely on your hearing with or without headphones. Artist hearing her screech means crow's are being sent out, Dredge even during nightfall you can hear it, Blight simple the grunting or screech he makes every time during rush and Wraith his bell. It can help you get idea what their doing and gives you some time to react.
Most Killers can fall in all three categories for some form of counter while Spirit is basically dipping her toes in two Audioable and Visual. She's standing still and you hear her phasing. But that just tells you she's doing that it doesn't mean your going to be countering her since you still have no idea where she's going even if she's full on close as without headphones her phasing noise is just the same volume. What I would say makes a proper Audioable counter is if the killer's power can be easily heard both with and without headphones with Spirit since her power has two volumes for some reason I can't hear the difference plus I don't know if she had directional audio it still doesn't help with if she's infront or behind me.
So let me ask what is her natural not buying something counter.
praying that she isnt running phasing speed addons , for me thats the only thing that makes spirit unfair to go against ATM.
0ther than that shes pretty balanced.

When I startup playing this game in 2021, I don't remember getting this kind of hits and its frustating me. My ping does not change much, is between 30 and 40 ms.
On both videos, and they are just two of others I took, I was getting tunneled and and the game offers me this deal, two safe vaults (in my point of view) ruined.
EVERYTIME THERE IS A EVENT GOING THE SERVERS GET WORSE , nothing new there

This broken killer has been left in DBD for 6 years, each nerf still allowing her to be the best killer in the game.
I've seen a lot of nerf Blight posts, but Nurse has been here for twice as long.
Nurse doesn't have any actual counterplay. Sure break LoS, she'll hit you with her second blink. It isn't even rewarding as she simply recovers in 5 or so seconds.
Nurse is much worse then Blight, so when is her nerf?
be ready for the "comp teams" "swf" arguments , Am on the same boat of wanting her to be gutted sooner , i dont think nurse is healthier for the game ; atm shes just miserable to play against and the only times when its actually "FUN" is only against people that dont know how to land their blinks correctly ; which in reality isnt that hard to learn IMO am not a nurse main but it took me just 2 games to learn the basic of blink ranges, specially knowing that aura reading perks exist to help with this , yaaay i love holding W against this killer or just relying on DH to make her less of a pain to deal with , loving the interactions ; loving making the most incredible play on a pallet to stun her while shes blinking , only for that to give me a 3 seconds before shes able to get on top of me once more.
Am just soo tired and bored of her gameplay and the fact that shes been a S tier killer for soo many years makes me sick too.
altho i also want MFT to be gutted alongside her.

Well its anti FACE camp so its doing its job.
yep , it seems like people were expecting to get rewarded with a free self unhook if the killer was within 30 meters for a couple of secs...like dude the point of the feature is preventing hardcore FACE camping, not giving you a free get away for putting you and your team on a bad spot to be rescue and the killer taking advantage of that.
just do a hook trade dude only if you have to....

It's the same every match because 95% of survivor perks are terrible. Perks like resilience, windows, adrenaline, dead hard, etc aren't even overpowered and I can't believe people truly think they are. People use those perks every game because there are very few perks worth using. The only problematic survivor perks are MFT and the Buckle Up/FTP combo. Nearly everything else has already been nerfed into uselessness. Anything else is just people whining for the sake of it. Are we just supposed to run meme perks every game?
thats not true , survivors literally had a lot of variety in terms of perk and some of them are even underrated unlike killers , Killer dont have basekit features that allows them to play other perks without a huge disadvantage , like Hooray i love running corrupt on all my killers because of the terrible map design and survivor spawns , i love losing 1 gen for free without that perk ; on the survivor side is just people feeling way safer running strong stuff in order to have a chance because OPRESSIVE TOP TIER KILLERS EXIST.
Is like trying to make the argument that a blight using 2 speed addons and survivors running a full set of meme perks are in the same level of advantage. I can run a entire meme build and still win against a pig running full meta and the same applies to the other 70% of killers in the game.

saying hug tech is unskilled because you just look down is like saying looping is braindead because all you do is press spacebar to gain distance.
claps , best argument , hug tech lover? and that survivor that do not know to hold a tile for longer than 3 seconds instead of pre-dropping?

Its fine. I know it was slated to get fixed like years ago. But with how long its been in the game. I feel people have gotten used to it basically being part of blights basekit. And i feel the quote of "it will be fixed" and how long its been since that point. Was either said without not actually being sure it was going to be fixed. Or its definitely taken longer than expected. Blights problems are his addon set being to good. Basekit wise hes fine and hug tech makes for some great moments and skill-expression.
Totally disagreed, back in the past hug tech was so rare since many people didnt even knew how to do it , and back them any decent blight main used to destroy any team including myself i used to like to run always the speed and the addons to insta-break pallets to see how god it was , SURPRISE was broken as hell but yet it still exist so i just stick to the lower rarity ones, also i never EVER used hug tech to earn my hit , however when i noticed how it works i just stopped playing blight after knowing how hug tech was becoming popular:
skill-expresion: Buddy please , you just look to the ground while looking a object and you slide and not only that you can easily turn your camera, there is no mindgame there you just use the slide to get close and the lethal rush to correct the aim.
(speed addons , hug tech , other broken addons , seems really BS to me and nothing stopping you from using them , yeah? )
if i gets fixed am ready to see a lot of posts about people needing hug tech to actually play blight , i just missed the days when people used to do insane pinball mindgames ; i love doing them but yeah the newer maps are a bit hard for that , still want hug deleted tho.

Definitely a watered down version but slugging is at an all time high in my games as survivor. Personally I don't get to appeal killer side as it's not fun for me either nor is it rewarding at all yet whe. I hope on survive it's almost every other game.
Game should not end because the killer refuses to play, slugs and watches the team bleed out before first hook or forces one or 2 to bleed out while the other to sit on gens bored to death.
if killers can atleast get corrupt basekit for 20 seconds at the start of the match we can start talking , but untill them i hope never.

The game is probably the most balanced it is has ever been.
Sure you can point to specific examples for both killer and survivor that need to be addressed. But overall it is in a good spot.
I weld agree the game is currently leaning more towards killer but I think with proper teammates most killer's are manageable which is why SWF still have more an advantage in most matches and why solo Q is struggling.
actually it was like that untill MFT came out and fast vaults got broken alongside the cage patch IMO.

Because no matter how much of a crutch Made for This is, it doesn't stand against a player with sufficient gamesense. Don't get me wrong, the endurance should be transplanted onto a different perk, but the speed isn't as uncounterable as people make it out to be.
I didn't realize I still left my Anniversary meme build on Nemmy for the daily, and with Deadlock as my sole slowdown, I could still take on 3 MfTs. (No early kills either, seeing the lowest BP Survivor getting 17k.)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/F7XI3R85FLIC/madeforthisaintjackvsnemmy.png
imagine saying that and just showing a nemesis game range killer , easy to force a pre-drop while losing almost no distance against MFT if played correctly and survivor were using "flashlights" , now try to do the same with trapper / legion / oni and pig , if a survivor wants to be annoying they can just pre-drop and hold W, there is something you can do there? NO , you just are forced to break any safe pallet they dropped and lose a lot of distance for free after that , the 3% also works with DH and Styptic mah guy , thats BS as hell am sorry is just people being bad with the perk rather than the perk being "balanced" as some people say because a lot of those players running the perk use it as a training tool for looping rather than abusing the extra distance it gives that can be enough to extend a chase for even longer without effort other than "you get hit , get rewarded , now you are harder to catch".

DBD has been playing safe with development since release 7 years ago. The gameplay loop is still the same and changes have not been monumental but rather smaller and incremental (like totems , endgame collapse etc).
So since I doubt that devs would dare risk it and add a major feature like a new game mode or something big, what would you wish that they add to the game without changing things too much ? What new feature could add more depth to dbd gameplay during the trial ? Maybe some random events that could give either side a chance and make both sides adapt to it ?
Post your ideas below.
gen interactions tied to chests like searching parts and stuff ... if they refuse to give killer a early game mechanic.

Highlighted in pink you will find the harpoon, my character, and the distance between us. The very next frame involves the answer, so this is as close as it gets.
I'm slightly annoyed.
when injured your hitbox stays closer to your feets instead of your body , the pill capsule is there , NOW add latency on top and thats the explanation of why you got hit there.
thats just how lame hitboxes are for survivor nothing else... however getting this type of hits as slinger is a bit hard since the arpoon has a smaller hitbox unlike the boomerang hatchets.
thats why a good huntress can do this on command when actually trying to get those spicy hits.

I think DBD would look really nice on unreal engine 5 and updated skin textures would make the game feel more immersive it currently does.
Is there any such plans for this?
I hope not , the game runs like garbage even on modern hardwares (just look at console players and the 60 fps promise) , this is just asking people to be agree about losing half of their frames by just making the game look more "realistic" which IMO is such a terrible line for the modern game industry is like bro I DONT CARE about the graphics , yeah they need to be decent but jeeez , just give me a well made game with good gameplay mechanics / good story and enjoyable thats all.
whats the point of 4k stuff and amazing graphics if the gameplay and perfomance issues are gonna be same things for everyone like dude , at that point just make another game but dont mess up the current like they already did with realm beyond.
and yes the reworked maps look pretty thats for sure but dear god they introduced many perfomance problems and balance issues because the devs went back to making survivor sided maps for the most or just badly gameplay wise maps like: garden of pain and Haddonfield
HOT TAKE: DBD graphics are good ATM and they dont need major improvements.(not taking swamp into consideration)
they need to focus on QoL updates and health updates for the most part (which they are doing thankfully slower but its BHVR so)

Here's for all those that would rather complain than learn how to play against the killer: a clip of me DHing ON REACTION to Xeno's tail attack: https://streamable.com/r2mpti , and still getting hit OVER HALFWAY through my 0.5s Endurance. This is done on 70ms ping on my end (relatively high for me). Keep in mind also, I reacted to Xeno using his tail while also trying to look in front of me, and had less than half a second to react to it when I turned back around.
As you can see, it is not only possible to react to Xeno's tail attack, it actually has quite an obvious visual cue. When you watch the clip frame by frame, you see Xeno's whole body jerk as in the screenshot:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BVM93TGFQ9KP/image.png
...a tail attack is coming, you can safely swerve or crouch or DH or whatever you need to do to survive.
Now please, cut it with the Xeno whining threads. They're getting really old. Let's hurry up and nerf MFT.
EDIT: I actually went a step further and broke the video down frame by frame. At exactly frame 228 is the screenshot. At frame 270 is when the Endurance status effect disappears (with Deep Wound starting a frame earlier). This gives us a 41-42 frame window (recorded at 60 FPS) during which to react, or about ~0.7 seconds from animation to hit.
you know that they can drag the tail hitbox right? the only reason why many xenos are missing their m2 attacks are mostly because they are learning how it works or they dont bother to do it to secure a hit which is something that you see pretty often on decent xeno mains , and is just miserable because even if you dodge the tails , doesnt matter 3 seconds later he is once again ready to do it again because you gain almost no distance when the xeno is the one doing a bad read and missing over and over while gaining bloodlust.

Mid-chapter PTB is should be next week. So what is your expectations from next mid-chapter update?
Me:
- Some nerfs for weak and mid killers ( Pig, Slinger, Clown, Billy)
- Some buffs for non-used Blight add-ons ( Foxglove, Compound Seven, Shredded Notes etc. )
- Some nerfs for weak perks for both sides ( like Calm Spirit and Hangman's Trick nerfs )
- Some nerfs for most popular perks for both sides even if they don't needed ( WoO, PR, Pop, Corrupt, Adrenaline, Resilience etc. )
- A lot new bugs
- Some unnecessary changes nobody asked
- Some shadow changes nobody asked
I am not expecting from them to address actually real issues. Like map balance, camping ( we know this will come out but who knows when ) , Blight add-ons, some buffs for weak killers etc.
-Xeno counterplay tweaks (buffing a bit the turrets / adding a more heavy punishment for missing tail attacks)
-Massive blight addon nerfs and maybe just MAYBE fixing the hug tech exploit.
-Survivor fast Vault fixes as well as maybe QoL for the servers and if we want to dream maybe a "window interaction validation"
-MFT nerfed to the ground i hope soo because F that perk.
-Flashlight exploit fixed.
-and maybe like a small buff to weaker addons on some killers.
-News about the anti-facecamp mechanic.
I swear to god if i see a single nurse addon buff am gonna be soo pissed.

First of all, "0 ping" don't exist in a multiplayer game unless it is peer 2 peer and you are the host of the game, or you are running the server in your computer. Even in a LAN, with two computers one besides the other, you don't have "0 ping".
Second, fast internet speed has little to do with your ping. There is a lot of factors that can affect the latency you have (stability of the connection, distance to the server, being connected with cable or WiFi, and even the RJ45 cable you are using).
So, what that video shows is a lot of missed hits, that has nothing to do with how much latency the killer had, unlike the first gif you posted where it is obviously a hit that didn't happen because the lag of the survivor and / or how hitboxes worked in the day.
And yes, you have evidence of how they used to work. Now, show me your official source that says that's how they should work. Because again, not even in the official wiki there is any mention of fast vaulting giving you any more distance than the other vaults, much less it being more than enough for you to be out of reach, and even less that you can't be hit during or after it. They allow you to vault faster, maintain your momentum, and probably it would also give you some advantage by changing the hitbox so it is harder to hit you while doing the vault.
The funny thing is that I'm not even against the fast vault giving you more distance or saying that is not how it should be, but again, it is an open and unobstructed space and if you are inside my attack reach, whatever is during the vault or after it, you should be hit. Simple as that.
whatever ,not going even gonna try , you just gonna excuse everything by the sake of keeping things unfair just because you dont know how the game used to work at lower latencies or maybe you are a player that always plays on higher latencies , maybe that why you think vaults should be this generous for killer, which i understand survivor is busted right now with the MFT meta still , but keeping vaults in a terrible and really weaker spot shouldnt be a thing to balance things around + it makes killer really easier reducing the skill cap of looping , soo yeah , WHATEVER moving on.
high ping killers be like:
I got you barely by touching 1 pixel of your hitbox so it must connect. *hits the air*
(Ihey literally got the hit from miles away after the survivor finished the vault) -

Even after a dev confirmed that your first gif was not how vaults should work, it seems like you still have the misconception that the vaults "aren't working as intended" because the killer can hit you during or after it.
As far as official information goes, fast vaults allows you to vault in 0.5 seconds in comparation with 0.9 for medium and 1.5 for slow and allows you to maintain your momentum after vaulting. They were never intended to make you immune to damage during the vault or make you gain so much distance that you are out of the attack range automatically when the animation finish.
The only sources that says the contrary (at least the ones I found) are other survivors claiming it. Not even the wiki mention anything about fast vaulting making you gain any distance in comparation with the other vault types.
how many times am gonna say this , this is at LOW PING , and thats how vaults should work across all type of pings , if you have a ping over 60 ms , thats bad ping to modern standards , like thats why people already want validation on windows and pallets ; killers with over 60+ ping get validated pretty little compared to killers with good connections , and that shouldnt be the case ; Not to mention that the server consider GOOD PING any value below 100 ms , if you as killer have higher ping you should get punished with hits getting rejected or validated like currently pallets work if the survivor has better ping than you , they should get priority over you instead of viceversa
(high ping killers need more punishments than low ping killers honestly is getting absurd how often you get rewarded by lag).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-n78fMS5JHYBeen playing this game for over 5 years already , yeah is not like we dont have evidence about how fast vaults used to work right? yeah..............right.........🙄
This was originally uploaded to my TikTok account:https://www.tiktok.com/@nototzdarvaWatch live: https://www.twitch.tv/OtzdarvaJoin our community: http://dis...you can pretty much see how much of a difference there is compared to a medium vault - distance momentun.

They are aware of it. Peanits said it himself. There are "some inconsistencies with vaulting between male and female Survivors". What you showed us is exactly that. Play a male survivor and compare their fast vaults. Male survivors still get the normal distance and do not get hit right after a fast vault.
so far they dont , as killer I still can hit them after they fully finished the animation it looks like they vault further than females because their model is bigger visually in reality they dont vault any further it just visual , their hitbox is still at hit range after fully fast vaulting their capsule hitbox is still ends closer to the windows but their visual model is slightly further compared to females
I ALREADY DID A TEST WITH FRIENDS AND YEP IS JUST THE SAME AS BS AS FEMALES NO DIFFERENCE
both male and female are vaulting the same distance but the thing is that males do look like they vault further because they have bigger models and they look like they land forward but thats a lie , trust me , just play test this , they both can be hit in the window in the exact same way.

We are currently investigating some inconsistencies with vaulting between male and female Survivors. I do not have an ETA for a fix at the moment, unfortunately.

There's a couple incorrect things I need to clarify here.
- The cone that is used for basic attacks are not the same for all special attacks, such as The Xenomorph's tail. The tail attack happens to be much more narrow and longer than the basic attack's zone.
- That screenshot is fairly old, so the capsules don't quite line up with the animations as well as they do now.
- Your capsule does not lag behind you, it matches your movements perfectly. The issue that you'll usually run into is that - being an online game - where you see you and where the other players see you are two different things. It takes time to send your location to the server and for the server to send that information to everyone else. This means that while you see yourself having already vaulted, the Killer sees you slightly in the past where you are still near the window. We do some magic to reduce the effects of latency, but it cannot be removed completely.
All that said, the hit in that clip is well within the reasonable margin for even a lower latency. The tail attack does indeed reach that far, and it would likely still be overlapping the survivor's capsule (both from the Survivor's POV, but especially from the Killer's POV).
pls , take this reference , the current vaults are NOT fine... neither working as intended either ; now your capsule hitbox does not gain any distance after fast vaulting meaning that the killer can hit you even after you finished the animation completly , and the only way to avoid this is holding forward which is not an option is we take latency in mind , making fast vaulting even worst.
LOW LATENCY VAULTS (NO VAULT SPEED PERKS USED) This is how they used to work giving enough distance to prevent a hit.
OLD: (keeps momentun while also sending the survivor hitbox to a decent distance in order to prevent a m1 hit from connecting because your hitbox goes further unlike a medium vault).
Current fast vaults?: (your hitbox gains 0 distance after vaulting - pretty much the same as a medium vault - also your hitbox ends closer to the window which also expands the window of time for killer to hit you there unless you move forward which is bad.
PLS send this proof to the devs , fast vaulting was already bad with latency and the fact that there is no validation on vaults but now the current fast vaults are worst than before.

I know, some killers have base 4.6 movement speed, a survivor has base 4.0 movement speed.
But how exactly do they actually catch you, when they don't have any special addons/perks which increase their movement speed or slow survivor's movement speed when I, as survivor, sprinted away as soon as killer approached and hit me, and killer didn't use his power but he is still able to catch you 10 seconds after you sprinted as survivor.
I've been playing killer for fun so many times and it's sometimes basically difficult to catch a survivor when you hit him and they sprinted away, but in most cases from my survivor point of view it feels like killers have MORE than base 4,6 movement speed.
It's like I faced one killer who had 4.6 MS and he was fine looking, the next match exactly same killer character and suddenly it feels like the killer is running faster than he should.
But there is no way to prove that, it's either them actually increasing MS or me being paranoid.
Pwyf and any other haste related perk for killer are quickly becoming meta alongside exhaustion perks , because cough cough MFT.

I am pretty sure I would like to revert fast back to the original. If only they nerf MFT, as the recent Buff made it big problem and high compliant rate. It make experience Survivors good at loops and chase much harder to catch, especially with MFT active.
No one really compliant about fast vaults, until the 3% movement speed perk became a thing. But instead, they nerf fast vaults all together and left MfT untouched.
female survivors were working properly tho , thats the problem people were overreacting about non-existent i frames during the vaults , it was just a visual bug because males were vauting insanely further than females.
and instead of fixing the couple of bugs on females like when vaulting from a high place you were getting send to the ground more faster than usual , they just made it terrible for males and females.
old DBD footage: (default vault speed , no ressilience , no spine chill)
I-frames were a thing aparently to some people , not just a well timed fast vault because bad players were crying about their pixel hits not connecting anymore , well there you go , this is how hitboxes work at lower latencys soo people can shut up about it.
WITH CURRENT FAST VAULT THIS CASES WILL NEVER HAPPEN CLAPS BAD PLAYERS / LAGGY PLAYERS.

People keep saying this, but he is suppose to have a 3 second cooldown with 2.0m/s movement after using the tail attack. That is far more punishing than other powers in the game.
If Xeno is not losing distance with tail attacks and is keeping bloodlust despite using his power, those are bugs that should be reported.
he can still move while recovering you know thats the important part of why he needs changes on that.
if he fails a m2 , doesnt matter he can recover while walking during that time and also hes able to gain bloodlust while doing that which is definetly absurd , so he can force a lose lose case either you die by the M1 or eventually by the M2 attack because of bloodlust which is a terrible design if you take in mind that landing hits with the tail is just waiting for the survivor to lock themself up in to an animation.
-
I miss old vaults honestly:
OLD DBD footage so people can shut up about I-frames , this how hitboxes work at lower latencys for killer and survivor.
no ressilience or spine chill were used on this clip , just a good timing vault should prevent a hit like this and not grant a BS hit on the survivor and killer POV since killer has priority for the most part.

By healthier, I did not mean revolving around being fully healed. I meant healthier in terms of overall game health.
(Though for the record, you can absolutely heal, even self-heal. Medkits weren't butchered and they aren't the only source of self-healing anyway.)
thats why half of my matches on solo Q are teammates spending years healing themselfs over and over with the self heal penalty?
if the killer just runs mangled , there is no point of healing unless you are facing a spirit or stealth killer , but nah i rather prefer stay injured and do my best with chases and being useful doing the gens.
like you said , you can heal but it takes a looooot of time doing it by youself with mangled. thats boring , i can also bring a syringe for that which is better than default medkits.

Oh you still gain bloodlust if you use tail attack and miss? It doesn't reset?
yep it doesnt.

@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
"I wish turrets do more!", "I wish his tail attack is more punishing and worse", etc.
Do that and watch how Xeno will be replaced with Wesker, Nurse, Blight, Spirit and repeat.
Singularity is barely played because the power is hard and punishing and mainly because Singularity chase power is in hands of Survivors. Which is never fun.
nobody enjoys going against a killer without penatlies uppong missing / failing attacks like yaaaay i did a good play as survivor and i dodged a tail attack *few seconds laters* ohh it doesnt matter the killer can just use bloodlust while using the tail and miss over and over without a considerable penalty on top of the fact that turrets almost do nothing by their own , okay.
they just need to revert that change back honestly missing the tails attacks should be more impactful with how easier is to use due to the drag mechanic and how they buffed the fire resistance against turrets.
