the average player speaks in english so I'm not talking about just you.

A 5th perk for solo players and killers would be a good thing.
the solos will just keep lobby hopping till they get their friend in the lobby
or they'll try to make a discord call with the random PC players they find in the lobby
Now we have 4 survivors with 5 perks with comms.
-
Without NOED it encourages to survivors to think they get an easy free win at the exit gate which is why survivors are so common to BMing at end game.
but they won't BM when noed is active.
killers should feel threatening at times they are suppose to be the power role afterall
-
@glitchboi said:
I don't like NOED. It's an unhealthy perk for the game. Sure it has counterplay, and sure it can secure just one kill, but it's just an unfair perk in general.
That doesn't mean I'm not down for a reason to cleanse dull totems, though.
you could just leave through the gate I don't know why survivors don't just do this
-
@GannTM said:
I definitely agree NOED needs a change. People can say it has counterplay all they want but that’s not the issue with the perk.
just do bones.
Why don't survivors want to do this objective? Not doing bones (genrushing) is encouraging players to play badly and not seeing totems as a threat.
-
first of all survivors don't need anymore perks.
SWF with comms alone is worth 20+ info perks while also countering many killer perks at the same time.
Killers need 5 perk slots at least have the 5th one be dedicated to hexes only.
If survivors get a 5th perk then something needs to be done about SWF because comms alone is already a huge advantage.

you're then saying bbq and chilli is op and needs nerf because all killers use it?
First of all the grind sucks and people use BBQ because of the BP alone. I've seen BBQ on pyramid heads despite the fact they RARELY get a hook because they just use the cage instead.
Second of all BBQ is countered by lockers or being within TR
What counter does dead hard have? "just bait it out"
If they removed the BP bonus from BBQ no one would use it for the aura reading because there are better options out there. It's mainly used for the BP bonus and if the aura was removed but they kept the BP bonus also no one would use it because now it's just a wasted perk slot.
People would end up using distressing instead for the BP bonus plus it makes your TR so large survivors actually have a harder time telling where you are.

Imagine if cope de grace could be triggered every 40s when not in chase that's almost a free hit at most tiles sounds fair right
they should rework cope de grace into a dead hard perk but for killers.
Imagine every survivor complaining how it's OP but it's literally just dead hard.

so these powers counter a 150% speed boost for 3 seconds but don't counter a 1 metre dash? lol ok
clearly you just proved dead hard has so many counters, right?>
It's a 1 meter dash WITH iframes.
ranged killers can't even counter this ######### because of the iframes.

I just want them to do something about the whiplash-inducing "aim dressing" or whatever it is that causes me to swivel 180° when survivors dead hard through me.

My proposed change for DH
Have it work like an actual dodge, increase the distance gained slightly, but remove I-frames. This would make the perk arguably better in dead zones for reaching the next loop, but reduce the amount it can be relied upon to just get invincibility.
imo the frustrating things about DH from a killer pov is whiffing hits that should connect, and when survivors will stand still/facing a wall. or running towards the killer and phasing through them. It would still work to increase the number of loops you can do, but would force survivors to actually think about where its used.
When playing deathslinger I baited out their dead hard by shooting at where I predicted their dead hard would end.
Only to ######### hit an iframe that's so stupid I literally touched them, they didn't dodge my attack. at least give them mending or something, holy #########

SWF is doing to all killers. I had clicky survivors when i was playing Nurse or Blight.
I had someone clicky me as spirit then i jumpscared them to death and they didn't do it again

Is this not backwards thinking? If Dead Hard is activated, it means you've done damage and can potentially down them, if you run away every time you see Sprint Burst you end up doing nothing, lol.
I've had 1 single well timed dead hard turn into another 60 ######### second chase.
Where as if they didn't dead hard across the pallet I would have downed them.
If they had sprint burst I'll wait till sprint burst is over then down them without an issue.

Like i said, it has no downside and no counterplay compared to every other exhaustion perk. Tell me, as a killer what should i do to stop someone for dead harding for distance? It's a similar complaint from killer players as survivor players complaints about spirit having no counterplay. You don't really have any good options when someone uses it that way.
deathslinger/huntress doesn't even work either because you'll trigger their iframes and get nothing.
-
If it's not "op" then why is every single survivor using it?
-
@Wavy said:

Are you sure? I am destroying SWF teams with Blight. Some teams are really strong but i have not problem with this. But Blight is so strong killer. So Pig, Myers, Trapper etc have problem againts SWF teams, Spirit will be fine.
the fact you have mastered blight shows you are not average killer with 400 hours
SWF is a problem

SWF needs nerf but this is not makes Spirit fair. Spirit is also problem.
spirit is 1 killer out of 24
SWF is a much bigger problem and they are stomping all over the other 23 killers (unless the nurse has 5k hours)

I have +70-80% win rates on killer already. What are you talking about lol
Stridor is bad perk already. I saw it only on Spirits. So yeah, this nerf needed. And Iron Will is not popular perk, survivor are not cares about voices so much.
"And Iron Will is not popular perk,"
i see it on a lot of SWF builds and if it's not that popular now it's going to be incredibly popular after this nerf to stridor rolls out.
every ######### survivor will run iron will now.
spirits only used stridor to counter iron will, not to hear normal survivors better
-
stridor is not an overused meta perk, iron will is.
this is ridiculous
spirits only use stridor BECAUSE of iron will
stridor is actually a hinderance on survivors not running iron will because the sound travels so far you think they are closer than they actually are. iron will was the only reason spirit players used it.
I don't understand why they nerf a non-meta perk like this when it's used to counter and over used meta perk seen on most swf builds.

Is that a bad thing though ? As killer I really like facing IW players as unless they do some good juke, I'll be able to follow them based on all the other tracking tools killers have. IW doesn't get in your face as BT, DS, DH, it just does its thing making juking more realistic without limits killer in any way.
It's 1 out of 4 perk slots that can be filled with second chance perks and if you use one for IW you're missing out on potentially other very strong effects. Personally I'm fine with IW but I understand the frustrations others might have with it.
then you haven't lost the game before because an iron will survivor was hiding in the grass while they were downed.
now they all will run iron will this is terrible
it's basically a second chance perk that is passive throughout the whole game.
-
great now all 4 ######### survivors will run iron will and it will be more meta now than it is currently.
-
######### I knew something was off about my gameplay
why didn't they ######### mention this?

because it's all the same hardware and can't be modified like PC so there is nothing to change.

PEOPLE PN PC ALREADY HAVE THIS ADVANTAGE AND THE ENTIRE REASON WE NEED TO WAIT FOR UPDATES IS BECAUSE CONSOLE ARE NOTHING BUT A GIANT ROADBLOCK ( in terms of development).
The devs said they want pc and console to be 'the same game" back when crossplay was first introduced. well... It isn't the same game if it doesn't have the same options is it?
Let's be fair here console is the reason all game development is hell.
if fallout new vegas was exclusively only for PC it would have been a much better game.

It doesn't matter how graphically intense you make a game, there is always the option to lowe it. Look at pc. It has an ultra high medium and low setting. why doesn't console?
if you lower too much like grass then 1 side gains an advantage just for having their settings on low

I'm pretty sure they cannot cut loose the proir gen machines while Sony & Microsoft still update & support those consoles due to contracts.
Also the majority of the playerbase is on console, with something like 80% of those still on PS4 or Xbox1 types. How could they afford to lose that huge chunk of players? And imagine the queue times of they did!
give it about 2-3 years they will probably drop support for last gen

The SWFs have been so bad in the past week that I have stopped bringing cakes as the killer, since its not worth wasting the cakes. Its also to the point where I'm contemplating either playing only Stridor Spirit or just taking a break until the event ends.
I recognize that people like playing with their friends. I think SWF is good for the game, but I also think its a broken mechanic that allows way more coordination than was planned for. There is no warning that you're facing a SWF, there is no reward for playing against a SWF, there is no Hex:Disable Voice Chat, and killers can't switch in the lobby to a better killer. All you can do is guess and dodge lobbies, because it could be 4 solos, it could be a few friends looking to have fun, or it could be a sweat squad.
Also Franklins doesn't destroy items anymore, only gets rid of charges, and keys can be used when they're out of charges to open the hatch.
So no, SWF is not fine. Keys are not fine. Spirit is not fine. Matchmaking is not fine. I'm reserving my judgment on Wraith and Mikeys tombstone add-ons.
yeah this week has been rough for me as killer nothing but sweat from survivors.

I'm right your wrong deal with it.
this article was in 2015.
If they did any updates in 2016 it was probably a small update, they claimed they wouldn't do any major updates after 2015.

@Dustin said:
Honestly - If they can't handle releasing stable updates consistently for all platforms then yes.
Here's the thing - If they want to keep upgrading their systems on the game and adding new features it's really a matter of answering these two questions.
- Can old consoles handle the technology / features BHVR wants to add?
- Can BHVR consistently handle implementing these systems on older gen consoles?
Deep down most of you probably feel BHVR can't handle it - How long do even current gen consoles go while struggling with performance? Now consider last gen consoles and imagine how bad it probably is. BHVR can barely handle a stable release on PC. Yeah they eventually take care of it but the thing is they don't have enough time to release consistent stable releases and it shows.
So to shorten the whole post it really all boils down to one thing - Can BHVR consistently release a stable update for all platforms with minor issues? In my view for what ever reason it's an obvious no. Every major update has several massive issues that emerge even after PTB testing.
right it sounds like they either need to increase their team to add stability updates for all the systems or keep their team size the way it is and drop support for last gen.
if adding stability to last gen is posing a problem with updates it may be time to pull the plug on last gen.

Three years is along time that's not fast.
it was 2 years, that's pretty fast considering gta 5 is 8 years old.
Your concept of "years" is slightly warped. 2-3 years is not a lot of time.
2-3 years goes by quick.
-
yeah I got screwed out of a pop or BBQ trigger PLENTY of times too because the guy DCs on me.
I get punished for them disconnecting, it's really unfair.
-
Keys and hatch encourage really boring and bad behavior.
This is how I got 4 survivor adepts in 1 day.
Hatch blueprint at killer shack. Hold W in a circle so crows never trigger. Wait for hatch to spawn.
EZ
it's funny because I wasn't the only one doing this my last remaining teammate also had a key and was looking for hatch only he didn't notice the blueprint offering so he was crawling around the map looking for it.
And when I play killer and it's down to 2 left they don't even do gens even if there is 1 left. They'll just keep walking around the map till they find hatch
Or better yet neither player has a key but they know where hatch is so they basically hold the game hostage for 30+ minutes until one of them gets caught then DCs to open the hatch for their friend so I can't attempt to slug the 4th guy.
It's really BORING gameplay and I hope it gets changed. It's not healthy for the game at all.

DBD was released last gen, so this excuse of “old hardware” doesn’t stick. There are plenty of more demanding games running better than DBD on last gen.
Also, US is not the only country in the world, you know? It may cost that to you, but it’s not the same for everyone else.
Except the fact they've been constantly releasing graphical updates.
you haven't seen the new graphic updates?

a decent computer costs about the same as console and you don't have to pay for monthly online fees unlike console

You can literally buy one for 600 that will run better than your current console I promise you that but it's fine some people like console better than PC and I understand that , some people have been there for years and don't want to start over with every game on a new system , performance wise biting the bullet and upgrading is your best bet
and you have to pay for online to play DBD on console anyways
So by switching to PC you;re saving money monthly.
