It‘s sad to see tombstone get removed. It was fun

That‘s not nearly enough. If you‘d implement these changes they would do literally nothing.

Yeah, there is no way I will be able to finish it, luckily did not buy it yet.
Issue is you HAVE TO play daily quests, to finish current rift you had to to finish daily quest 46 times + finish all quests and event quests. If you miss one, to compensate you have to something under 20 games.
Issue is event quests and quests give less than old challenges, individual games give less and you need more fragments than before.
and whoever set current milestones definetly was not thinking straight…I think forcing players to play every day is going to backfire, you never want to make players feel like the game is a job.
If you get to level 69, you get all your cells back, so if you manage to hit that it would be worth buying regardless whether or not you will finish it.

What you mentioning is addon and some perks chase oriented wraith which is his best option probably, you wrote its his only counterplay ( vaulting some vault over and over) but you forget he is m1 to so he has same counterplays as trapper this one is specific against his power but good wraith can still bodyblock you but its hard. Wraith without fast break addons or reduce uncloak speed but he is still mediocre killer at his best and good noob stomper like legion.
He is not an m1 killer like trapper. He basically has a dash after uncloaking, which is a very good anti loop.
Wraith without fast break addons or reduce uncloak speed but he is still mediocre killer at his best and good noob stomper like legion.
Nobody plays without that.
no its not his only counterplay
That‘s what you wrote earlier and it seems like you agree with me now.

Not only about who spams it faster but depends on who has better ping too and no its not his only counterplay but it works against him easily and its effective time waste for the killer.
What other counterplay does he have?
They always run bambuzle and insta break stuff, which makes windows pointless and pallets are instantly broken after you drop them when you don‘t do spam vault. He gets rid of pallets so fast that the map becomes a deadzones after a few minutes and then combine that with his stealth and his insane mobility.

No. Thats just another excuse for the devs to be lazy. They could adjust hundreds of perks each update just by tweaking numbers and yet they still refuse to do this for years. You cannot expect anything from bhvr regarding changes to make the game better. Theyre just maintain the game with false perception.
While I agree they could be a lot faster with buffing perks, if they did this they wouldn‘t have an excuse to ignore some perks even longer and it would mean a lot of work.

I could see the intent behind a pitch like this, but I'd have a few reservations.
The first and biggest is that "low pick rate" isn't the same as "low strength". Plenty of genuinely quite good perks don't get picked often, and that's because pickrate is a number influenced by a hundred different factors- strength is only one of those factors, and it isn't particularly more impactful than the others.
If BHVR were to do something like this, they'd have to pick the perks from a list that they'd feel could actually be buffed safely instead of using pickrate as the metric. The second leads on from that, which is that if BHVR have this list already, they might as well work on all of them. All the vote would do is give them a priority list, which is something but I feel maybe not worth the effort.
If I were to pitch a version of this idea that I'd say has more practical use, it'd probably be something like BHVR having a list of let's say twenty perks, ten for each side, that they want to address in some way. They'd then ask the community to vote on if the perk needs a tweak (number change), an update (shuffling around how the perk works without making it do something entirely different), or a rework (just flat out changing the effect entirely).
I'd also say BHVR shouldn't try this for every perk that needs changes- it'd be more of a community event like the Grimoire on a smaller scale, not a step in the usual balancing pipeline. Just every once in a while, polling for community feedback.I used pick rate as an example for it, because if behavior only gives us a chosen pool they are able to ignore buffing perks for even longer. Like I have suggested buffing hex two can play and calm spirit plenty of times and they are still mostly useless. Now imagine behavior gives us a list that still doesn‘t include those perks.
Even if they buff perks that are strong, they could change them in a way they are more appealing to use without really buffing its strength.
All the vote would do is give them a priority list
That‘s basically what I want. Being able as a community to prioritize some perks to receive a buff, because if we aren‘t able to do that, behavior will just continue to ignore these perks.
They'd then ask the community to vote on if the perk needs a tweak (number change), an update (shuffling around how the perk works without making it do something entirely different), or a rework (just flat out changing the effect entirely).
That would be nice, but they should only use the terms buff and rework. Update makes it unnecessarily complicated.
BHVR shouldn't try this for every perk that needs changes- it'd be more of a community event like the
Agree that they should just buff some perks even without the vote, but in terms of the vote the community should have a big not too restricted pool to vote from.
Just every once in a while, polling for community feedback.
That would be nice. I don‘t know whether you know Clash Royale? They do a balance preview before every set of balance changes, where they can give feedback on what is good/bad, what else should be prioritized for buffs/nerfs instead or what should be scrapped. I think this would be a great thing in dbd. You will probably say that‘s the PTB, but when being honest, the ptb is more for hype than actual feedback. The only things they change from ptb are things that cause huge backslash or things they feel like they want to change.

1: You miss the point. It's no secret that some perks are bad. BHVR doesn't address them. Either the issue is they don't know how or they don't think it fits into their schedule. A voting system is just an inferior way of addressing that.
2: Majority doesn't inherently lead to correct decisions. It's like the idea of reworking Twins. Not that many people like playing Twins, but some really do. Something doesn't have to be liked by the majority to create a better game.
Also, secondary effects are massive buffs. Like I struggle to see how you could add a secondary effect to StB that wouldn't make the perk obviously overpowered or so pointless as to just be annoying to have.
5: Kind of circles back to my first point.
7: But if people can behave in both of those manners, it defeats the goal of a voting system. If people primarily vote to buff perks they are already using we just get far more of a divide between which perks are good and bad.
- That‘s why I suggest this vote. If they‘d do something like that, they‘d have to do something and couldn‘t ignore some perks anymore like they did for years.
- True, but the question would be whether or not they are able to keep the identity and what people like about something and still make it better for the majority.
Secondary effects aren‘t massive buffs. Like look at calm spirit.
7. Well perks with a under 2-3% usage rate aren‘t used that much. So if they buff them and get used more it wouldn‘t be such a bad thing to shake up the meta. Behavior could also only let us vote for perks with less than 1% usage rate if that‘s too high.
-
@crogers271 said:
I'll take the unpopular side and say no. I see a few problems that emerge.
1: We already have a voting system that is much more accurate, what perks people actually choose. If perk X is being run one in a 1,000 games its pretty clear people don't like it.
2: Some perks have low pick rates but accomplish a niche purpose. Like Mettle of Man doesn't need a buff, its just going for a body blocking build is something not a lot of people are going to do.
3: If a perk has a low pick rate, but BHVR's data indicates it is strong, and the people choose to buff it, what does BHVR do? Just go ahead with the vote and put something broken in the game?
4: Which perks are good or not is subjective. One of the things that makes DbD enjoyable is there are lots of different ways to play and disagreements on what are actually effective builds. The most obvious example of this is Self Care, which is considered throwing in US/Europe and is an S Tier perk on the Asian servers.
5: If BHVR is willing to consider a perk should be buffed, why not just do it? If BHVR had a list of ten perks they thought worthy of buffs, just PTB the buffs to all ten.
6: Community blowback. How much of a buff are we talking? If we have a whole voting system and StB wins and exposed drops by 2 seconds, its going to feel pretty underwhelming.
7: You have a clear divide in interests. Do people vote to buff perks they don't use but would like to, but buff perks they already use and want to be stronger?
- After that logic there shouldn’t be any bad perks left in the game, because there are perks that are bad for years already.
- I will just say it would be the community who would decide and if behavior doesn‘t want to buff the main effect they can always add a second effect.
- No idea.
- True, but I think buffing self care by 5% wouldn‘t hurt.
- That‘s a question for the devs.
- It should be something that makes a difference, not Borken, but people should be more encouraged to pick it.
- Both I guess.

It'd be conceivable, that, in a game of 1v4, the majority of the players would have to be playing the "4" role the majority of the time. That's why I mentioned it. You could imagine that might swing the vote. Even when the queue isn't balanced (which, it rarely is), survivors still outnumber killers.
I think the majority of players plays both sides and they will vote for perks that could be fun with a buff or ones that are so bad that no one runs them. Even if players would vote for worse perks it would be a win and maybe behavior turns it into a fan favorite.
-
I‘m currently level 66. I‘m going to play for level 70 and not gona bother about the rest. There is no way to finish it without wasting too much time.
-
- Survivor vaulting doesn’t take priority. It‘s whoever spams the button the fastest.
- It‘s his only counterplay.

@WalterBlack said:
Not sure if we want to be subjected to the "dictate of the majority" any more than we want to be subjected to BHVR's "dictate of the statistics". Bear in mind that, at any point, if the queue times were to be balanced, there'd need to be 4x more survivors than killers.
I see it as a fun little community event, that could spark excitement.
About the last part, don’t know what it has to do with this topic.

This would be nice. But I would imagine it would be rigged to bits, I’d love it to be in a way of being only able to vote with certain requirements. A certain hundred hours on said role to vote. 100 hours vote 1 perk, 250 vote 2 perks, 500 hours vote 3 and maybe 750 to vote four. It should also be account linked to prove.
You are probably right, but your restrictions seem a bit unfair and would create an unnecessary backslash. Additionally they are too complicated to point that many people would probably rather not participate.

Catastrophe. I mean, I understand that bhvr won't judge only based on these "polls", but community in its majority has horrible vision on bigger picture on what affects what.
I'll remind you what community considers "weak": Boons, Reassurance, pretty much all altruistic healing perks, self-care. Hell, even StB. And all of these not just "strong" perks, they are game changing perks in right hands.
Some people still ask bring back old DH, CoH, how do you think they rate 99% of perks in this game? Yeah, right, "it's not press-button-to-win, so it's useless".
Pick rate on top of this means completely nothing. It's impossible to have all perks with equal pick rate, there always will be some favourites. And pick rate doesn't show how good or strong perk is. My favourite soloq perk is Any Means Necessary. And it's insanely good perk. Useful every match, map wide info about where killer is, where chase is going, what resources are used and pallet resets without cooldown on top of it. And it has 1,69% pick rate and on 50th place on NL right now. Tell me, to what degree we should buff this already strong perk, so community starts to take it as often as runtoyellow perk?
We had Background player, which was buffed, I believe, because of one single post here on forum after its release, where some guy said that "this perk never will be good unless it will be 200%". You know what happened next.
We have now Vigil, fine niche perk before with average pick rate, which was buffed because of… I don't know why it was in first place. Now it's probably most busted perk in the game right now, what, once again, community will never admit, because it's "fun". Haha, I can run away from killer every 30 seconds, don't worry about half of his perks and turn Freddy and Clown into powerless killers. Oh and now all teammates on map has these effects too. Yeah, fun. But not balanced.
Look at first 20 survivor perks on NL. Do you see a single perk, which requires some input or work to activate it? Yeah, zero. So to what degree you believe we should buff, let's say, my favourite perk for now, Clean Brake (0,15% pick rate), to make average survivor take this? Let's be honest, you will never achieve this, because this is a perk you need to work for. Not much at all, just average altruistic healing. And why should me, when I can equip syringe, press one button in every moment without any work or input and win 30-60 seconds for nothing?
Some perks can't be buffed by design. Like what will you do with Mirrored Illusion? Power Struggle? It's not popular perk, but it's nice niche perk if you dedicate build for it. Make it so you insta stun killer, if he picks you up under a pallet? Yeah, good luck with it.
Some perks are only good for SWF, again, by design, you won't make it more popular by any means, just because soloq will never use it. Teamwork perks, for example, which are not bad at all, when you use it with friend.
So yeah, "let the crowd judge" was never a good idea in human history.Interesting, but I can‘t say I agree with everything.
Let‘s say people vote for shoulder the burden. They wouldn‘t have to buff the main effect and instead could add a secondary effect.
My main idea behind it was more to bring attention to perks behavior seems to have forgotten about. In the end the community would have no power in how the changes would turn out.
To come back to some of the perks you mentioned. Mirrored Illusion could have a bot illusion run around that does stuff and the gen illusions could be infinite. Power struggle could get a secondary effect, but it shouldn‘t get a buff to its current effect. Teamwork stealth could just work in a 16 meter range when a teammate is in it. Clean break is a solid perk, but it wouldn‘t hurt to reduce the time it takes for the heal as it takes ages. Circle of healing could get self care with 45% back and before you jump at me, the only problem circle of healing had was being way too fast, otherwise self care would be considered OP.

He is outdated. Everything he does is done better by other killers. If you want to teleport there's plenty of other killers who can do it better than Demo's portal system which survivors can remove too. If you want a lunge attack then there's multiple other killers who can do it better than his shred, and turn when doing it too.
I thought when they got the Stranger Things license back we would see a flood of Demo players. But he's very rare to see. I think that's the reason why.
I would play demo if his addons were more interestesting. Sure he could use some buffs, but his addons are his main issue.

Yeah, if you want the full Rift, you need daily play too.
Its almost like the system was made to incentivize players to play and not for players who don't want to or cant play to still get a cool reward. I put in my hours playing surely I should be rewarded more than you?
If you are not playing, why should you still get rewarded?
Games are about fun and shouldn’t feel like a second job. Sure BVR has to find the right balance as a business, but forcing players to play daily just isn’t it. Not everyone can play everyday for hours.
Aside from that you are still getting special bonuses for playing a lot like shards and bloodpoints, that’s your reward and soon behavior will add prestige rewards.

Even he is strong killer his power just injures you but still you can loop him more then other high a-tier killers or s-tier killers.
That‘s what I enjoy. You can also hide from him pretty easily and it will be really hard to find anyone if the survivors play it right.
-
They should also allow you to get a random flashlight from a chest instead of a yellow one.
-
I like playing against ghoul way more than other killers. In my eyes he has more counterplay than many other killers.
-
Isn‘t it obvious as to why? Male survivors are pay to lose. They are much bigger than females which is a huge disadvantage in dbd and the females just look way better. I would love to play Yoichi, but I won’t put myself at an disadvantage for that.

Victor should be able to teleport sharlet to himself.

Hey there,
It is obviously important to have an effective ban system to ensure constructive discussion in the forums, however I believe that the forums rules we currently have are too harsh.
There should be a de-escalation system in the forum that reduces someone’s bann level for good behavior over a longer time.
As of right now you can get 4 strike that you can easily lose by overlooking some rules. Like I’ve seen someone get banned with 11k post after years of not making any mistakes.
Additionally strikes are granted largely at the subjective discretion of the mods, regardless of intent, context or even a joke between friends.
Lastly it would be nice if someone wouldn‘t instantly get banned for small mistakes and instead first get a warning, because some of the forum rules can easily be overlooked or forgotten.

I don't say this to invalidate what you're feeling, but maybe hold off on the uninstall. Fog vials are very new, they were never not gonna be tossed around and messed with like this because BHVR needs to see how they work best.
I still forsee fog-vials having good things in their future. And hopefully the limit isn't low like 1 or 2 but is something like 4 or 5. Also remember that the next chapter is an original chapter and it'd be a shame if there were no perks surrounding this item since there are so many concepts and ideas they could provide.
edit: adding this to illustrate my first point
I have no hope in them doing the good changes. Last patch they made maps a cheap version of windows of opportunity and removed all their old functions which was why I used them, so they are useless now. They made clown even more unfun to play against. Keys blood amber addon is trash now and will stay that way for years because behavior leaves stuff in a terrible state for years. That‘s how it’s always been with them. The new charges system for maps and keys is really bad, because it make them too limited. Now fog vials are going to become useless and they won’t do anything to keep them in a good spot and why am I so sure about that? - Because that‘s how behavior handles things since I started playing.
They are saying that they will keep adjusting them, but that is just marketing. They just say some nice words so we shut up about it. Behavior won’t suddenly change how they handle things. They will just continue as they handled things in the past.
I also don‘t think next chapter will have any good perks, behavior is afraid of releasing any good perks and will probably give us bad perks again.
I know this sounded very negative which it is, but thank you for trying to give me hope. I really appreciate it.

Well, i get truly good survivors. Surely, not every game but I indeed know what miserable matches look like. But that's kind of what MMR does. You will reach lvl that you won't be able to win apart from few killers that are so busted that they can keep that level. I always say that this game can't be balanced around top mmr, around mid sounds better which i think it even is. With difference in this game, maps rng, solo qs, perks etc. you can't really say that the game will be same every match, even in the top mmr.
But with this killer it is especially bad, because she is designed in a way to have no power IF THE SURVIVORS USE THE COUNTER.
With other killer it just becomes harder to play against good players, but with her you have no power at all.

The Counterplay is grabbing the tapes and putting them into the TV's right? Because I think in my first match against a Sadako I just did that for no reason because I was bored… Wait… by taking the Tapes out of the TV doesn't that mean that the surivivors just… choose where Sadako can teleport to?
All you have to as survivors is take a tape at the gen you are doing as soon as possible and she can‘t teleport there and she can‘t spread condemned on you. If all survivors do that and turn off all TVs along their way she has no power. You can also turn off TVs when you have a tape, which makes it even easier. Then lastly deliver your tape in time and she can’t even lock in stacks when hooking you.
-
@Jargonator said:
I don't own Sadako… and I guess I'm out of the loop… how is She weak?
She has a terrible design that gives survivors full control over her abillity. In most matches she stomps everyone because most people don’t use her counterplay, but when survivors are actually smart and do the counterplay there is nothing she can do.

My kill rate for Sadako overall is 62 % but for last couple months it's 72 %, if you count off that I give hatch a lot, could be 77 %. Therefore she's defienetly stronger in my eyes.
Wait until you get good survivors. They make your life miserable. Average survivors don‘t stand a chance because they have no clue how to play against this killer and you only need one person in match that doesn‘t understand her to screw over the rest of the team. As soon as survivors actually apply the counterplay, good luck.
My problem with her isn‘t that I don’t win most of my matches, it is that she is no longer fun. I don’t enjoy stomping or getting stomped and that all she is. You barely get any interesting matches.
My kill rate is 65% and to be fair I let a lot people escape, because most people just give and refuse to play.

If I remember v1.0 Sadako, she only spread 1 stack of condemned around TVs she teleported to. She had 90s cooldown on every TV, holding tape gave you passively 1 stack of condemned over 30s, she didn't have the huge speed bonus after teleport. Her manifestation and demanifestation lasted longer to do. She got stunned while demanifested etc. etc. I don't truly understand what was more fun about this version. If you talk about the iri tape constantly switching on every TV after hit and ring drawing spreading condemned from slugging, then I don't know that this was truly more enjoyable to play her. Not even saying that visual terror radius was added to every lullaby and you could heard the scratching sounds and directions anyway. There is no way you even think Sadako is worse than before, more if you are even p100. And if you enjoyed the slug/condemned playstyle then god bless you, because that was pretty boring and frustrating to do anyway and was reason why I didn't play her at all, because this was the only way to play her.
I‘m talking about her concept. This was the most fun. I‘m not denying that she needed buffs, but with all of today’s buffs she would have been perfect. They should have just giving 1.0 Sadako all the number buffs (including shorter cooldowns etc), pallet stun immunity and condemned lock in.
Let me make my stand more clear. I‘m talking about survivors being discouraged from turning off TVs and being able to have one of the best mobilities in the game. This was much more fun than what we have now and it wasn‘t on the survivors to be generous to give you a power.
Almost noone played Sadako the slugging ring drawing way, so I really don‘t get why everyone acts like this was all that common. Everyone played her for the mobility and her unique anti loop back then. I‘m also not asking to return ring drawing on slugs, but the last version where it worked on normal heals.

I think many people are being overtly dramatic when it comes to Maps and Keys.
I saw complaints about every single part of them, and the only two I find valid are:
- The iri add-ons are useless now (fair, especially compared to old Blood Amber)
- Maps now don't track almost anything (also fair, giving it the bare minimum + totems is kind of bad.)
As far as Fog Vials go, I would make them a bit more fair, considering people are enraged over them and that the PTB to Live changes didn't land well.
Also, my current idea for Visionary would be that it could tremendously buff maps, and allow you to rummage a chest for one.
My biggest complain is the charge system which is trash. Before the changes I could tap the item and see what I needed to see for a brief moment and get 20+ uses from the item, but now …4-6. The blood amber addon is my second biggest complain and that they removed the rainbow map.

I'm really disappointed about the situation:
First, there are many threads - here and on social media - that tell you, the developers, to kill switch Streetwise because it feels so stupid when someone abuses the bug to get an unfair advantage. At the very least, once the community comes to the agreement that something needs to be kill switch, you should talk about it and maybe change your criteria in this specific case. Having requirements is a good thing, so no one can abuse the system mindlessly, but there are also exceptions.
Next, not getting banned for abusing an exploit is insane to me. People abuse this bug to get an unfair advantage and it's not about losing or winning a match due to a bug abuser, it is also a sad statement for the community that these people get away with it scotty free. We don't need players who abuse exploits to get an unfair advantage or to make the game miserable for other players. Don't you think it is a sad statement?
Lastly, i know it is your job to communicate between the developers and the community but I feel really sorry for you - not only when some people are really ######### to you or any other CM. Even when the situation is bad, there is no reason to be rude to anyone. I wish one of the employees who told you "no, it doesn't get kill switched" would communicate with us in that case. So, at the very least, the one who causes this miserable situation gets our feedback directly and knows how we feel about it. Even now, when I write this message, it doesn't address the one who refuses to kill Switch Streetwise, but I also can not sit here and say nothing about a miserable situation.
Overall, it is not only about kill switching something to stop bug abusing, it is also about the health and happiness of the community aas well as having a good relationship between you, the developers, and us, the community.
They can‘t bann someone for something that is their vault. People who use this bug are only using mechanics that behavior added to the game.

StreetWise + Botany + Resilience + CoH
And what do you want to say?

I think the criteria for the killswitch needs to be reevaluated, because Streetwise definitely should be killswitched.
Toolboxes and Medkits with infinite charges are gamebreaking.
Honestly medkits with infinite charges aren‘t that strong. I tried the bug and it didn‘t feel like I need more than two heals, but it was nice to get more heals. If this bug told me something medkits should allow you to heal more times than two.

I feel sorry for JocelynAwakens. She gets all the hate while only being the person who delivers the information from someone else.

For real. I am just frustrated my friend. I am very frustrated.
Honestly I think it is the best to end this chapter for us. The devs won‘t change her because we want the best and most fun version of her back (1.0). It‘s Fine in their eyes and we tried getting her back for so long that it is pretty obvious it will not happen anymore. We should probably just forget her and play a different killer.

This current design she has going on for her isnt it. I hate the reworks, and I hate that she was changed. She should have never been touched…ever…just given todays buffs. This is not the Sadako I grew to love.
They know the high-kill rate is from newb stomping. Its not from decent survivors or anyone that knows how to go against her/swfs.
She needs to be addressed, and this should have been addressed when it was introduced back when we all gave feedback on this issue when Alan Wake came out.
I refuse to play her much anymore because its the same issues everytime, every match of every trial. Its so boring to play as her now, meanwhile the survivors just get a grand ole time abusing her power.
Ya take my tapes, no punishment, no consequence, I have to wait 70 seconds for it to come back, while they hold it for free of charge. I can no longer condemn anyone after that anymore much less move around the map. I have to walk my 4.6 butt 30 miles south with a loud stealth power.
I agree with everything, but the problem is that the current version is the biggest noob stomper she has ever been. She has the fasted condemned spread speed she has ever had. You can fully condemn a survivor in around 5-7 seconds (or whatever time you need to teleport) x 7 (stacks) = 35-49 seconds. The thing is this only works against noobs.
I wished like you they had stayed with her first version and had put all the buffs on 1.0 version.
