I had this problem as well 1 Survivor mid power use I would get disconnected.
-
I noticed this problem as well and it always happen when I am mid power use. It lets me teleport to a location then it freezes before I can use the chains. I tried 4 games and all 4 games has the same problem.
-
At some point the game is as fun as you make it. Once you get used to everything then its time to open new options and ideas. Stop running meta stuff just see what weird things you can do. My favorite for killer is jump scare meyers or battle buddy pyrmidhead *aggitation, iron grip, showstopper, mad grit* you just become a monster one shottng machine. for survivor just see what you can get away with. also if your not having fun dont force yourself to play. its a game a hobby if your not enjoying it them time for a new hobby. hope this helps.

His entire base design resembles a survivor much more then a killer, which is one of the big issues many people (including myself) had with his design when he was first revealed.
Take away his bat, and he just looks like a typical prestiged survivor skin. Not intimidating in the slightest.
I always just saw him as the successful psychopath archetype of horror. Similar to the film American psycho but this is just the K pop Psycho. Not sure if thats what people wanted in the game but thats always been why I though he fit personally he is just a different archetype to fill out the killer colorwheel.

That sounds perfect. Mascot is the exact word for him. The star of Legion is for the player to decide. Mine is Julie then Susie.
Agreed I prefer them as well franks sounds are not as good.

I started playing when pyramid head was released and have since unlocked almost everything for both sides except for the few survivors I don't own. *feng, ace and puppthand man* It took around 5 months for me to unlock all perks the best way I found to do it was killer questing and taking advantage of older tomes. get one killer you like get them a bp build and just play for fun. You will earn more points as killer if you dont camp so dont do it. you need to be chasing even if you lose the chase its fine you get points for following them around and smashing things.
-
Because unfortunatly she is not the star of the killer frank is. just like how Charlotte gets a crown when lets be honest victor does all the work while she be dozing in the corner.
-
basically the map was bugged so they turned it off. It is now working however it seems more like a test state they want people to randomly go to it for now rather then being able to swarm to it. its quite rare I played for about 16 hours since the event started and have only seen it twice. currently the game seems to really favor the autohaven for some reason I swear its every other game.
-
I just feel bad for him in the new map. That map is a direct counter to any and all range killers I thought the tight halls would help but the rooms be so tiny and close together that I cant imagine getting anyone downed with him in that bad boy.
-
Personally after I have stopped using the cakes entirely I will wait for normal play to return apprently the event brought out the baddies and if they tunnel I just yeet off my mortal coil and move on. I get less but so do they and I don't have to play with killers who dont understand that they would earn more points by chasing other people and not derping at a hook. I feel bad for the other survivors but because alot of survivors just want crowns their not on the survivors they normally play and their perks are lacking because of it unfortunately.
-
Not a dev but when I see this there are a few different options. Firstly you can change targets after they waste a few normally this tactic leaves dead zones since they wasted the resources early you will catch them in a bad place latter if you don't chase them around the entire map. then they will have to do gens at some point and you can get them in their dead-zones. It took me forever to understand this. if they start trying to bait you ignore it and go for the others often their trying to distract from weaker loopers. Other than that it really depends on the killer but things like brutal strength and enduring can help if you find there are problems with this technique.

Do we know the difference? You are getting mad because people are running perks, bruh. That hardly has to do with their in-game behavior, if you ask me. Like, what, they need to run bad perks to not be considered as having garbage behavior?

Twins. They feel like a waste of time due to lack of scoring events as survivor. Loop Victor for 5 gens, 0 points because being in chase Victor doesn't count as being in a chase so game just thinks you ran around doing nothing all match. Other choice is be slugged, camped, tunneled for pretty much no points. If they adjusted the scoring events it wouldn't be so bad but until then the Twins are the one killer I truly hate getting matched against in this game.
Do survivors not get points for running from victor? Really? I never play against them so I never knew that thats messed up.
-
Love the voice and wish it would stay or be redubbed with other killers so it always had someone saying it. Would be cool to hear the other killers voices and guess which one each of them is. :)
-
Other then not doing anything to keys I like it. you can legit make lower class items worthless now sure they can pick them up but they always did anyways if they remembered for the most part. I am hoping they just plan to make it so keys need some charges to open the hatch. of perhaps the Key change we keep hearing about is them adding actually lockable doors to dbd instead of just the breakable walls and thats why its taking so long. That would be cool just have doors that survivors could lock and the killer would have to break down. Heck even having a closing door would be fun. I never really cared about destroying items permanently anyways because you generally don't see them again so who cares if they escape with an item. I just want that item less powerful in the current match and this seems to do that.
-
i use it to locate those people who always afk for 30 seconds at the start of the match and punish them for the endless times I get stuck with them on my team.
-
Its because they added a longer cooldown after victor lands a pounce to prevent him from slugging people as quickly however it made the character feel like garbage to play because it destroyed the flow for people who where playing them in a fun way and not just camping. Now its down wait a few seconds change back hang body repeat rather than just changing and moving on.
-
So after all the feedback on here about this topic I want to see how people feel about them because if they cause problems and no one is benifiting from them I think we should tell the devs so they know we are not happy with that aspect of the game. If players dont really like/use this feature in a meaningful way and it hurts other players then it may be best just to remove them from the game. In order to get some more feelings and numbers on this topic I have made a poll in the discussion forums. Please feel free to select the option you see fit I tried to make it as in depth with the answers if I could.

Mostly fog makes my PlayStation's fans go [BAD WORD]ing nuts, like jet engines.
But, the offerings can cut down on vision. I dunno what it's like for PC players, but playing on my console on my TV screen the Elodie literally disappears (cannot see her at all) while crouching there as the fog rolls over her. I'm at one end of the exit gate, she's at the other, so the distance isn't that great.
Thanks for the video this is the best I have ever seen it. I think its a bit clearer on the play-station on pc I just don't see them being used.
-
@Marik13 said:
So actually this is something that I've been wondering about too, regarding these mist offerings. Just how useful is it increasing/decreasing the fog? Does it really make that much of a difference for either side? Legit I don't know, I never use them.
I really wish a dev would explain to us how these work. I feel like they where a part of the game that has always been ignored and now really dosnt do much. I can see the fog very clearly on the new farm map however that's it and on that map it looks so pointless its funny.
-
It is stronger vs new players but everything is. The totems randomness mainly comes from their spawns some can be really dirty like in a wheelbarrow in the corner of the map only visible if they run into the corner without perks. Others are just vibing out in the open. I think their intended to also be defended constantly if I use them I tend to clear that area more frequently and if they find the totem they will be camped in order to get that devour going.
-
Tryhard is genrally meant to be used as a way of saying your going way over the top for little to no results. Its like shooting a worm with a cannon you can do it but by no means was it necessary.
-
This is one of those challenges that is really bad for the game because their is a easy way to do it but its not fun for anyone. Camp them hook them by a fountain go to it get your purge while using the extended add-ons and when they unhook blast them. This is one of the challenges that pop up every now and then and can seem good but really just hurt the game because it encourages bad play-styles. It reminded me of all the challenges that are hook people in the basement. Stop it we dont need those it just makes people play basement trapper and no one has fun.
-
@Lycidas said:
It's intended afaik
When a challenge is stated as "Heal a total of X health states" instead of "Finish healing X health states" you have to actively do the heal action for the progess to count
For the people changes the status of the other survivor in an instant, so it doesn't count
The best choice perks for that challenge are autodidact, botany knowledge, desperate measures and sometimes we're gonna live forever
Good to know thank you for the feedback!
-
The reason for the change was Freddy because if the survivor was asleep then BT did nothing as there was no Terror Radius.
-
Its a mix between an animation lock and lag. The killer has hit the button and cant stop now so its similar to when a survivor jumps a window the action will happen regardless of everything else going on. Also there is just a problem with input lag for everything involving 2 people interacting. Try grabbing people with killer and you will experience it by seeing the grab animation happen only for the survivor to teleport away while your hand awkwardly floats there.
-
Ran into a bunch of Survivors searching out their gnomes. As a fellow gnome lover I decided to help them. So as Mr.Puddles I just followed them and stood next to gens to help them get their tasks done. Once it was done I opened the gate then followed giving them speed boosts so they could all get their gnomes. Once we did it they all formed a nodding circle and we had a fun after game chat. Thank you gnomes!
-
I would just give him another button. When you press ctrl you do a slow dash that breaks down walls or pallets. As for why you cant put the other aspects of michaels coolness into a game. You cant just let him rob people or give him a car but you can let him go through walls and slam through things.
-
Alright my children I am here to teach you the technique.
Step 1 Locate the basement
Step 2 Locate a booty
Step 3 slap them cheeks
Step 4 hook them cheeks in the basement
Step 5 Draw pretty blood picture with magic sword
Step 6 Stay near basement
Step 7 when they go in basement follow and threaten to clap more cheeks
step 8 let them truly enjoy your artwork with heartbeat clapping.
dis is da way

I play exclusively to try to scare people when I see the character spagetti into a wall I have done my job.

I haven't played the new rework as killer yet, I am nervous about being unable to find them as killer as well. As survivor I usually run WGLF, so if they are slugged I would like to try to help- pallet stun, flashlight blind (if I can ofc and am close enough), but as I said- seeing their outline is really hard at the moment.
yooo if you can flashlight blind you got my respect those things are just noise makers for me I make the clicky clicky.
-
I always have trouble finding them as well I just do a weird shuffle and spam that pick up button
-
I was orignally a pyrmidhead main because I love silent hill however the sheer insanity of killer babu has made me rethink that. I dont camp with them I try to set up ambushs where I hide charolette where I think they will run when I send in the boi from the op-site angle. Its just really satisfying to smack down the survivor who is trying to steal my babu. Sure if you want kills you can camp but my goal is much more simple. I give them the babu then I take back the babu for it is my babu.
-
I love active perks with big risks so here are my ideas for a killer and survivor perk.
Killer Perk: Pallet Pummel: When a survivor is sliding on a pallet grasp it and use it to smash the survivor into the terrain breaking the pallet and dealing one health state to the survivor. This perk has a 300/240/180 second cool-down.
Survivor Perk: Heroic Slam: Slam into the killer to stun then for 2 seconds. take one health state of damage upon successful hit and obstain the broken status for 160/140/120 seconds. Upon Missing become exhausted for 180/120/90 seconds
-
If your playing solo survivor consider the game just that your alone. You can help others complete tasks but your job is to survive. If your teammates are bad then that's what the hatch mechanic is really for. Do gens get it visible and let them run into the meat grinder. Teamwork is great but you need to know when to say enough is enough and fend for yourself. Abandoning the game is quite rude and ruins the entire spirit of the game. If your really that annoyed turn the game off and take a walk or something quiting and rage queing is bad for your health. Its supposed to be fun!
-
So I dont think many of them have any confirmed status. I don't recall any of the lore even approaching this topic really. I think this is one of those cases where the devs dont really care and if you do then there is fan art for that. Most of the characters dont even have personalities in game and their lore is super self focused and not about their relationships. I totally understand why it would be cool to have and it would be interesting to see how its approached I just realistically don't see it happening in this game because its currently a situation where any character could be lgbtq or not and that unknown in some ways is better because everyone or no one could swing that way depending on your view of the character. The survivors are all oatmeal pants somewhat generic so you can view yourself as any of the characters you wish. The killers a bit less so because their more fleshed out to play out a power fantasy in some respects.

I'm only trying to help you poor survivors. You go through so much getting slashed and beaten and shot and everything in between all i'm trying to do is make sure you're ok mentally but you keep running away so I have to put you on the hook to examine you and let me tell you. You may want to stay away from Nea she has problems that not even the BEST electro therapy could cure.
Is it the face? I feel like its the face.

-looks at solo queue teammates-
I know it sucks using perk slots up but when in solo Q I find using ace in the hole and kindred helps more then any other perk combo because it gives randoms the information they need to not make the worlds worst plays. Still working on a way to teach them about trapper traps that are directly in-front of me on the blank white ground. Its a slow process here at solo Q HQ but eventually we hope to train our fellow apes to not step in bear traps and unhook people!
-
I am in the north American region so I might have a similar experience and explanation. During the day there tends to be good survivor que times because there is enough of a player base to sustain both sides. However at night when people are off work/school they tend to group up more so there are less killers playing and bigger groups or survivors. There is unfortunately no real solution to this its just the nature of asymmetrical games combined with society's time compliance.
-
What is wrong here?
-
I joined dbd due to pyrmidhead and have played him ever since. He is powerful for sure because he has tooks other killers do not have. however his power can and will be easily dodged by those who understand it. You mainly have to wait for them to get locked into animation alot of survivors know this and will just fake away at the last second. His M1 nerf while he was draging his sword really took away a lot of his power. Now he is a good killer not the best for sure but up there and he requires more practice then it looks like because his sword drag feels odd to use and very clunky. The worst then you can do to pyrmidhead in chase is just loop him till he puts down torment at that point leave the loop he has a hard time catching up.
-
It sucks but if they camp you just need to do gens and hope that when they see one pop they go for it. its hard and not fun but its the best counter I have found vs campers. I run open handed and kindred just so I can see if and when its safe for unhooks it tends to help a lot in solo play because it gives the team useful information. I am weaker in chase but find the strength from teammates far more valuable.
-
I just wish the overhead did something you now have a chainsaw that is so hot it cant be turned on I vote we can now swing the fire chainsaw for a down >:3
-
I play the twins a lot and don't really camp or slug and do quite well. I use the insidious to hide Charlotte then attack the survivors so victor jumps facing Charlotte. They tend to run the other way and as Charlotte wakes up the tend to be running at me so I just down them hang up the person and plan the next strike. from the notes it looked like they where just punishing victor missing pounces which is valid. If there are other changes mentioned I dont know of them.
-
I only find it annoying when its clear the game is ending if its 2 survivors and their not doing gens and just hiding in the corner its a waste of time for both people. just do gens and be careful dont just hide in the corner staring into space for 10 minutes.

I bought Pig last night, and I've played 3 matches with her so far. I'm still trying to get the hang of the dash and ambush attacks, but that's to be expected. As for her traps, I thought a Survivor wasn't able to escape through the exit gates with a trap on their head?
I downed a Claudette during EGC, but she was still able to crawl out the exit gates with the trap on her head. I thought that could only happen if trying to escape through the hatch? If traps don't become active during EGC, then that seems to really limit Pig's power as a Killer.
Thoughts?
For the traps they need to be activated. I dont think they ever mention that or its just outdated information. To activate a trap a gen has to be finished. if you put it on their head after all gens are done its worthless and does nothing. Also since your new to pig a good perk combo is to use whispers and monitor and abuse when whispers goes off squat to hide your terror radius because your close and thanks to monitor your terror radius is small enough to go unnoticed and helps you be sneaky. I think orignally survalience was suposed to do this then they changed pigs terror radius so it dosnt work as well anymore. Good luck fellow piggy and remember if they boop the snoot you must pretend not to see them anymore.
