  • When rank resets happens, i play a lot more different killers before i get to rank 1. When at some point of ranking up my Freddy and Trapper just get bullied constantly, i know it's time to start play the Nurse again.
It's not that i won't get any kills as someone else than the Nurse, but that t-bagging and flashlight BS is just frustrating.
I remember one time when i tried to play as Wraith just for fun and at the lobby 3 guys last second change to claudettes with flashlights. I got bullied so hard… One guy even put me DM after the game "ez noob killer".
Well i got these guys later in the same lobby and i took the Nurse with try hard build. They did again last second change lol. Oh boy i just destroyed them. 5 gens left and 2 of them dc'd before the end. So satisfying feeling after that.
So like OP said, it's the power of the nurse what makes you wanna play with her. And you will get games where no one bully you.

  • Lastly, don't become dependent on Shadowborn. You may think you need it, but I would train myself to play without it. That extra perk slot gives you a lot of freedom to try out new things.

I must a little bit defend the shadowborn.
Average pc player: He sits maybe 0.5m away from the gaming monitor. Position is intent for gaming. He has better FPS and graphics compared on console players. He maybe doesn't need shadowborn.
Then me playing on my couch, lying under a blanket (very focused on the game lol). Distance to TV is 2m. I have a FPS and graphic issues because the console...
The shadowborn makes more comfortable play Nurse than playing without it. I don't say it's a must pick, but i understand why people use it. Especially on console.
  • I play also at red ranks on ps4. You have about same perk build what i am using.
I use nowadays the deerstalker alot if i haven't taken the ruin. I don't slug the survivors at early of the game, but if i lose a "control", i start to slug people. Usually it's when i get gen rushed and i have to slow the game down significantly.
BBQ, Discordance, Surveillance, NC, Shadowborn, Bitter Murmur, Deerstalker, Ruin, PGTW are usually the perks what i use on my builds.
Theres a pros and cons on every build you make. You can't protect gens and be the same time very efficient for tracking and down the survivors fast. Because the biggest problem for me is get gen rushed, i make my builds to protect them. So Discordance, Surveillance, Shadowborn/PGTW and Deerstalker/Ruin are very good for that.

I’m a decent killer, but I just can’t grasp Nurse. I lose survivors so quickly when I go into fatigue. I’m very good with Spirit and people say she is harder than Nurse.

The only two things I’d change about Nurse is reducing her base fatigue time slightly and making so that when she does go into fatigue, her vision isn’t as impaired so much. When you go into fatigue, you get a black border around your screen and your vision slightly blurs.

Shadowborn, bloodhound and pocket watch addon could be solve for your problem.
When i go into the fatigue, i listen closely if i've a hit landed on survivor that where he might be going and turn myself on that direction while in fatigue. They are very loud and you can keep tracking due to that.

  • Lately i have tested many builds on Nurse. What build im going to use in a match depends of survivors or just my current mood.

Survivors bring lots of toolboxes: Ruin, surveillance, discordance, bitter murmur/pop goes the weasel.
Slug build: Nurses calling, deerstalker, sloppy butcher, m&a/shadowborn.

These perks i use very often, not specific "build": Ruin, BBQ, shadowborn, surveillance, nurses calling, bitter murmur, pop goes the weasel and discordance.

Favorite add-on combo is anxious gasp and bad man keepsake. Increase the blink movement speed.
And another combo is pocket watch and white nit comb for reduce the fatigue time.

On Nurse you could use almost any perks or add-ons and you still will be terrifying for survivors if you are good with her...
  • I have P3 Nurse, Myers and Trapper maxed out. Other killers are lvl 40-50. Now i'm trying to get all perks on Doc.

    Freddy.
Claudette just can’t hide from him.
    Add-ons - Jump Rope + Swing Chains.
Perks - Overcharge + Discordance + pretty much anything else.

They’ll be lucky if they get 2 gens repaired before i’ve Killed them all, and after they’ve quickly realised that intentionally failing skill checks is a terrible TERRIBLE idea.

    Overcharge on Freddy

Same. I’m on PS4 so I didn’t have a reason to fear Nurse players because usually they aren’t great even at red ranks. Let me tell you...more than HALF of my games last night were God tier Nurses. I appreciated it at first because it was a rarity but dying over and over and over again to the most powerful killer in the game just seemed cheap. There isn’t anything you can do to a Nurse but hope her prediction is wrong and mind-games herself.

All you can do is hope you aren’t the first one caught because if you are, you’ll have to be good at surviving and hope your teammates aren’t potatoes and actually fix generators.

I wouldn't say it's cheap, if someone has practiced a lot to get good with Nurse. On console especially.
I play at rank 1 with Nurse on PS4 and i see survivors doing same mistakes over and over again. Then it's a very "cheap" victory for Nurse. For example, a survivor keep pallet looping the Nurse. Or a survivor try to "backtrack" the Nurse. Okay, it's much better way than pallet looping but still doing it every single time… Easy to predict. And you can see this kinda stuff at rank 1, i am a very disappointed (lol not really, i can't even myself survive against god Nurses).

Most boring killer to play against is the Legion. The hole game is just healing... And when Legion use thanatophobia and sloppy butcher and you don't even have self care, it's gg then

  • It's intentional sadly. No pity for you tho, cause the Nurse is even so a very strong killer on console. But i would like that if the devs would fix the turn speed during a blink. Like it is on PC.
  • If you are a bad tracker, maybe Nurse isn't the best killer to play with...
Anyway, shadowborn makes it a lot easier to see around of you while blinking and in the fatigue state. Scratchmarks are still as "hard" to track as without SB.
Bloodhound is a good tracking perk tho and it works as well with Nurse like with anyone else of killers. While you are blinking, it's not the easiest thing anyway to keep track of blood or scratchmarks. But bloodhound will help you in the long run tho...

Tip for tracking with the Nurse:
If you blink towards of a survivor and the guy just disappear, you should follow scratchmarks without blinking. When you see the guy again, take a lesson why you lost him and how you could avoid the mistake of tracking you made.
If there's none of scratchmarks, be aware of urban evasion or a locker jukes. With bloodhound ofc you won't need to worry about those stuff...

  • Agitation
    Iron Grasp
    Mad Grit
    (you choose)

Pick up the survivor on your shoulder and keep chasing the others.

  • When you run with shadowborn, you'll see the world around you much clearer in fatigue. There isn't those black edges on your monitor then.

Balance the game towards the top 5-10% of SWF groups, that's a good idea.....

Most SWF groups I meet are basically altruistic suicide squads that will do anything for a WGLF stack, the odd TACTICAL NAVY SEAL team is just a really hard challenge every now and then.

Yea maybe it's better to do nothing than 100 new threads of "lobby dodging killers" and "SWFs wait times" etc.

If there join 3-4 man swf squad in lobby and killer would've some incentive to play against them, maybe we could have more games and less waiting times.
  • That's not going to happen.
Instead killer should get maybe some haste status boost, more BP or something else when they are forced to play against 3-4 swf group. Some kinda counter/prize, when you play against teamspeak users.

  • Maybe they don't care about wins so much.
I like play with Myers a lot and sometimes i use Bamboozle, Fire up and Brutal strength. It's very funny build and i don't wait for win when those perks are on.

  • My favorite killer is Nurse. I like play with her and against her too.
Fav. survivor is Meg. Red hair <3

The guy in the video is actually pretty bad. He misses so many easy blinks vs bad survivors.

Yep. I've seen better Nurses. Survivors just ran to rescue the hooked guy without stealthing and the Nurse saw them all. Then 3 blinks and slugging everyone. I am not surprised by the outcome...

  • Best maps - MacMillan Estate and Asylum
    Worst map - Coldwind farms

Kindred, Bond, Open Handed and Small Game <-- best solo build i can think of.

These perks. But i've replaced Small game to Iron will
Next fav. build is Balanced landing, Iron will, Quick and quiet, Bond

  • The Nurse is awesome killer even on console! Survivors often think on console that it's going to be an easy match when there's Nurse against them. But it's everything else than easy for them, if you know how to handle the Nurse. ;)

You should start learning the Nurse when rank reset happens. You'll get more easier opponents than end of the season.

Learn her blink ranges and get bullied while you are learning. It's going to pay off.

When you get those easier opponents, you should learn how they try to juke you and how you could defeat their jukes.

At rank 10-20 these "jukes" are very common:

Survivors just keep running away from you <- Just keep blinking to catch them.

Survivors run towards you when you are charging a blink <- Do a short blink (aim to the ground) and accept your fatigue if necessary.

Your rank will get better at somepoint and you'll learn then how survivors play at lower ranks. There is more 360's and backtracking about everytime when LoS is lost. It's more predicting and mind games then.

Always you shouldn't blink. If a survivor is in a jungle gym, it's maybe easier to find him by walking than blink blindly.

Map knowledge is important too. You should know where is the pallets and windows. If a survivor is vaulting or dropping a pallet, he is stuck on that animation and it's a free hit for you.

Great perks on the Nurse: BBQ, Ruin, Bitter murmur, Make your choice, Shadowborn, Nurses calling, Deerstalker.

My rank 1 Nurse build is: BBQ, Pop goes to weasel, M&A/Shadowborn, Nurses calling/Ruin.

It's very hard to teach by writing what you should do in a different situations. You will learn when you just practice a lot. :) Hope i will get to meet your Nurse in a match someday.
