Dead Hard is not skillfull, its totally the opposite, get outplayed ? Press E for easy mode, that's basically it
Yea and time it wrong and it was for nothing. If you DH before the killer M1s you and there isn't a vault or pallet right in front of you then you're probably going to be downed. Its not easy mode. DH does require a measure of skill to be used successfully in many situations. The perk is fine. It causes exhaustion that must wear off before being used again. That is more than enough.

BHVR is both removing the blackface cosmetic that is being used as a tool to spread hate and continuing to ban the players that they have proof are being racist. Mandy has said in other posts they do and will continue to ban those that they have proof of harassing players. Since they can't pre-emptively ban a player they are removing a tool in the game that has been used to amplify racism because it is blackface - BHVR agrees it is blackface and should be removed from the game.
If someone sees the cosmetic as black face it is just their opinion and not an intrinsic fact. That is the problem I have with this. It isn't intrinsically racist. This is a debate of discernment and personal opinion. So going by this logic, leatherface as a character can never wear the face of a black victim otherwise its black face? Like I said, the fact that there isn't a discernment between fiction and reality with this whole thing is beyond ridiculous. A lot of people are pissed off about this and NONE of them are racist for being pissed off about it.

Many black players have spoken up and given evidence to BHVR of smartface being racist and being used as a tool for racism. Many non-black players agreed and spoke up to BHVR. BHVR has agreed that the mask is blackface and a tool for racism so the mask is being removed.
Then THOSE players who were reported for doing the abusive actions should have been banned for it. They can do what they want with their game, it doesn't mean it was the right choice and that everyone is going to agree with them. You say a lot of players are speaking up about the cosmetic being racist, but that doesn't make it intrinsically offensive. A lot of players are also speaking up and saying how it is wrong to remove them and they need to be heard as well. You tried to argue leatherface being white as being a problem with the smartface cosmetic in a previous reply. Being white is not intrinsically evil. Leatherface doing the things he does makes him evil. I'm sick of people trying to make an argument around someone being white as being the foundation of something being racist. That is actually racist. I feel like people have forgotten what the word racist means and make up their own definitions for it.

Did you watch the video or did you just get offended by the title? Kind of like how a black person may get offended seeing a literal black face worn by a white man in a game? If you haven't you should watch the video because it is very informative.
It's a win for the black players that won't be reminded of a terrible intrinsically racist history of black face everytime they have a match against a smart face Bubba.
It's nice for you that you don't find the mask to be racist but there are enough that do, including the devs, that it's getting removed. When you wear it as killer you don't even see the cosmetic - the only people seeing the cosmetic are the survivors, survivors that may be black and are reminded about the horrible history of blackface and racism in real life as they spend an entire match trying to not get killed by a white man literally wearing a black face.
Leatherface's skin color is irrelevant to his FICTIONAL DESIGN. You literally ignored that aspect of him and made it about his skin color. Leatherface is a psychopathic killer. The things he does match his character. As I said and as you keep ignoring, there is NOTHING intrinsically offensive about the cosmetics or any killer players using them. You want it to be racist when its not. You're trying to find racism where it doesn't exist. If a person can't discern between fiction and reality then that is their problem. Also, since when the hell do you speak for black people who play this game? Let them speak for themselves because I am quite certain not every black person who plays this game was offended by these cosmetics so please stop speaking like you're the spokesperson of all black people who play DBD. I don't care if you watch a few youtube videos of people trying to explain how these cosmetics are somehow offensive. A lot of people play this game and their voice matters just as much as the next regardless if they are a streamer, youtuber or whatever. The definition of racism is changing everyday to include things that are not intrinsically offensive and when this happens innocent people who are not racist by any means are being made out to be racist which is heinous and wrong so forgive me for not caring what someone has to say in a video with a title like that.

Devs now see it as blackface (as Not Queen said in that clip) and as a tool used by racists to harass players. As of mid-chapter patch it will be gone. No argument on why some players want to keep it will change that, especially after multiple news sources have reported "Dead by Daylight removes Leatherface mask over blackface complaints."
As for lore excuse DBD Fog Whisperer Milady Confetti did a great video on that.
Its not... intrinsically... racist or offensive. The title of that video you linked me is "Blackface Leatherface: Stop using Lore to 'disguise' your racism." No one who is arguing from the lore as to why its not racist is a racist. That is such a heinous thing to say or assume about someone. I'm not a racist and neither is anyone who doesn't want these cosmetics removed. The people that caused problems with them don't care that they are being removed. This isn't a win for anyone but the trolls. No one who ever used these cosmetics in game is a racist unless they blatantly said something racist after the match.

..it had a token system? Let's say you start with 3 tokens so you will be able to use it only 3 times within a trial. Maybe even reduce the exhaustion timer for compensation.
I don't wanna start another discussion wether DH is broken or not, i just want to know if people still would use it over other exhaustion perks.
Nope. I would not use it if it had a token system. Dead Hard is a skill based perk. To limit its use on top of that would make the perk less useful over other perks that don't have the same limitation. Don't forget that Dead Hard causes exhaustion for 40 seconds. Survivors have to not run for that long every time they use it to be able to use it again. Putting pressure on survivors is one way to stop that from happening. Not only that, if you keep chasing the person who used it they will stay exhausted for as long as they have to keep running. A token system for DH would ruin the perk. There is nothing wrong with it as it is. Killers complain about it because they think they are entitled to a hit that was avoided by it while completely ignoring the fact that a perk had to be used to avoid that hit.

"Sets it apart from what?"
"Killer Characters being killed is a common theme in the horror genre"
You kinda answered your own question there. Every other asymmetrical game has a way to kill the 1, what sets DbD apart is that the killer is always a threat.
And you completely ignored the other point I made in that it makes no sense that it can't happen. And DBD doesn't have much competition out there so again I say, sets it apart from what? Killers should have the risk of being eliminated by the survivors UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. We're not talking about making this an easy thing to do. It would be a challenge so it wouldn't be something that happens all the time.

Not_queen in a podcast with Sistas of the Fog said it's blackface. Here's the clip fo her saying it's blackface.
https://twitter.com/FallenEstrella/status/1454592745377447937?t=gZ6yPfpBxxDReV6ETv5gkw&s=19
No one is saying Leatherface as a character is racist, everyone is saying it is the players using the Claudette mask as a way to have blackface in the game and harass poc players that are the racists. Literally saying the racist players are using it as a tool to amplify their racism.
A government banning sales of a color of paint is not a good example of a private company removing an item that is being used as a tool for racists - which is something companies do to separate themselves from hate groups, Fred Perry in 2020 pulled a shirt/logo from sale after the Proud Boys started using it. You're just using an exaggerated example to try and invalidate not only the decision but the players that have been affected by the harassment.
Again, removing the masks does not mean that 1. They have not already been moderating when the complaints have been around for years or 2. Will not continue to moderate. Assuming it was a this or that situation where they either removed the masks or moderated is an ignorant take that is being used to invalidate the decision. Removing the masks is only one part of the solution - it stops the lazy racists and it helps limit the amount of harassment these players are receiving in the first place in order to have the moderation take place.
Except... its not black face. Its a killer who's theme it is to wear the face of his victims. There can be NO argument made that the smartface cosmetic is intrinsically racist or offensive. These are fictional characters and people need to realize the difference between fiction and reality. I'm pretty sure in the fictional setting leatherface doesn't give a crap what color your skin is. And again, if its the PLAYERS causing problems with it as you said then the PLAYERS doing it need to be held accountable. This is a non issue made into an issue by people who think there is something intrinsically offensive about a cosmetic that literally fits the theme of the killer. If things are said in the post game chat that are racist or someone goes into someone's stream and says racist things that is one thing but within the trial there is nothing racist about using any cosmetic on a killer and interacting with any survivor.

TBH. I am numb to it at this point. Some folks really think it was distasteful. Others say it was "okay" to have it. To me. it is whatever.
It was Ok to have them. No one ever did anything wrong by using the face cosmetics in game in my opinion. Now if they SAID racist things after the match or went into someone's stream who was in the match and said racist things thats a different story and should be handled on an individual basis. The cosmetics themselves are not intrinsically offensive. These are fictional characters and the cosmetics in this case fit the theme of the character that has them.

Sets it apart from what? Killer characters being killed is a common theme in the horror genre. It actually is a great idea and what you said makes no sense. It literally makes no sense that the killer has no risk of being eliminated by survivors in the trial.

If all 4 survivors are alive when the 5th gen is completed it should be the Killer that has to open the gates before they get hooked.
This is something I have suggested before too. Survivors should be able to kill the killer under certain circumstances. It is a horror genre theme. The fact we are of no threat to the killer at all in this regard is pretty annoying. Survivor players have to worry about moris, rancor, devour hope and tombstone addons as an additional means to remove us from the match. Well, survivors should at least have 1 way to kill the killer during the trial if certain conditions are met.
I'm sorry about some of the replies you've gotten here. Your suggestion is a good one and something that should be in the game. Killer players just lose their mind at the idea of survivors being able to do something else to the killer and think they deserve all the power in every trial.

With all due respect, please don’t try to make Wraith being black a problem. Someone already tried this before, Wraith is black, Bubba isn’t.
Anyways, maybe it doesn’t change for you, but this is important to people who are affected by this. No one wants to boot up their game and get griefed by Smartface Bubba just because they’re black.
I know people will do what they want, regardless of what’s done. I’ll always agree that there should be a better report system, so a removal like this doesn’t happen again. But we all know BHVR.
Bubba is also a fictional character like wraith is. Bubba wearing the face of his victims is a characteristic of his character. So what exactly are you trying to say when you say wraith is black and bubba isn't because I'm a bit confused here.

I still don't get it, unless they now remove everything else people are targeted for. We see how this is going to fix nothing right???
Those same people are going to switch targets, so will we see just all the characters removed and turned into grey blocks? "
imma stop, because this whole situation has my mind up in flames.
I'm wondering how long its going to take before someone says killer players attacking female survivor characters in the game is misogynistic. This whole thing is ridiculous. These are freaking fictional characters. The cannibal is a fictional character who kills and wears the face of his victims. Isn't his default mask the face of a person too? If it is can the same argument be made that its also offensive? I don't understand why people try to make fictional things out to be problematic like this. Can fiction be fiction without someone being offended by it anymore?

This video explains pretty comprehensively how people "spread hate" with the mask.
Playing a fictional character that wears masks of other fictional characters in a fictional world that chases after and tries to kill other fictional characters in a fictional world is not racist. And by the way, the situations mentioned in the first minute of that video need to be handled on an individual basis and not a universal one. Why? Because I do not believe this is happening in any kind of wide scale. I have 1800 hours played as survivor in this game and I have never even seen the cannibal use any of the survivor faces before. If I haven't even seen them use it once, let alone do any kind of "hateful actions" using them, why should I believe this is a problem? Sure we can describe the scenarios on how it could happen, but how often is it really happening? This is a non issue. This change was not needed. Whats going to happen next? Are female survivors going to be immune to killer actions because someone says its misogynistic for killer mains to attack female characters in the game?

You should lose if your team was bad because this is a team game not a 1 vs 1 game. As such, you have to suffer the consequences of the actions of your teammates. If you can't handle this fact than you really shouldn't be playing the survivor role.
You literally said:
The point was even without perks killers are still more powerful than survivors. This is a problem because the gap between survivors ability to survive and killer's ability to kill is too big in my opinion
What does this mean other than you want killers nerfed in order to have an easier time and that you think survivors should be stronger?
And no, the gap between killers and survivors isn't too large. I'm terrible at the game and I do fine. I can't look behind myself and loop the killer without running into a rock and get hit, yet I still manage to waste enough of their time for objectives to get completed. Everyone with extended experience in this game would tell you that the survivors are the power role, not killer. The only time when survivors aren't in charge is when they're bad and uncoordinated, but that's not a problem with the role, that's a problem with the player and perhaps matchmaking.
Game should not be balanced around bad or new players, it should be balanced around high level play while making sure that the potatoes are matched with other potatoes until they get better at it.
I just want survivors to have more fun things they can do but with there being such a huge gap in power differences its hard to do that in my opinion. Why does it always have to be all about the sweat and skill? Why do we so often have to worry about if the killer is going to be toxic and start camping and tunneling people? This doesn't mean killers need to be thrown into the dust. I just think killer mains should be a little more open minded at the idea of survivors being able to do more and not think its the end of the world for them.

Fun for you, irregardless of how un-fun it is for your opponent. I never put words in your mouth, I'm just reacting to your posts. You want the game made easier for your by nerfing killers and making them more equal to you rather than stronger than you. You're just labeling that as "fun". If you were honest, you'd admit it.
And yes, the killer is entitled to the kill if he prevents your team from opening the doors and only one person remains. The devs just implemented the hatch so the match can end and not last over an hour since survivors would just hide out of spite.
And, for the record, I'm a survivor main, a Claudette loyalist in fact. Never have been and never will be a killer main, though I dabble in it for the rift or if I need blood points. I'm just honest enough about my capabilities in this game and know that the killer is supposed to be the power role and that if my team fails, its more due to us being bad.
I am being honest, and again, you're assuming things about me that are not true. This is all about perception and your perception of my opinions is that I want the game easier and killers to be on the same level of ability as survivors. This is not true. Believe it or not it is possible to improve the survivor experience without also hindering the killer one. That is why I constantly say the game needs to fundamentally change. If a survivor's team was bad, but you weren't, why should the odds be against you in that situation? I'm not saying it should guarantee anything. I'm just saying far too much relies on the performance of the team that essentially just screws the person actually trying unless you by chance find the hatch first.

No. They're just people who know that there is nothing intrinsically racist or offensive about the masks. If there were people that somehow "spread hate" with the masks then go after the individual and not remove it for everyone. Personally I don't even see how its possible for someone playing him to spread hate with those masks. I mean, I hate it when killers hit me on the hook but you don't see me coming here saying its misogynistic when the killer hits Kate on the hook repeatedly.

No, I get your point, you just want the game to be made easier for you. If perks were removed from the game, survivors would still have the advantage. You just don't want a team game, you want to be able to solo the killer. The killer is supposed to be more powerful than a lone survivor, even with no perks, they have super powers for a reason. The whole point of playing survivor is to persevere against the killer by working together, with the option of being selfish and waiting for the hatch.
Why should the game provide the survivors with yet another means of escape when they failed to open the doors? Why should more than one person be able to escape from the hatch? Isn't the killer entitled to the kill if they managed to out play your team or do you just want more hand holding because you feel bad that you couldn't beat them? Of course people will think you're bringing in a key for the hatch, that's the main purpose of the key.
At the end of the day, Survivors are currently the power role, well, survivors who know how to actually play the game anyways. If this wasn't true, then they wouldn't have to be limited to certain perks during tournaments.
No, I want the game to be more fun. Putting words into other people's mouths and making assumptions about them is like a trend here or something. And wait a minute, killer entitled to a kill? That sounds like you're a bit entitled there you know since that word likes to be thrown at me a lot here.

Killers are supposed to be more powerful than survivors, what on earth makes you think that they shouldn't be? Killers also have to make their perk load outs based on assumptions on how the survivors are going to play. The killer only gets 4 perks while the survivors have a combined 16 perks that the killer needs to consider. If the killer doesn't enter the match with the right perks, then it's probably not going to end well for them unless they're facing bad survivors.
You don't have to use DS every match, I have only used it once and find that most killers respect it even when I don't have it. I have zero exhaustion perks equipped and I do fine. I'm not great at survivor, but I don't blame the game or the killer, I blame my lack of skill.
You say you have to assume that every killer is going to be toxic, what do you mean by that? Are you insinuating that killers who camp or tunnel are toxic? Because if you are, you're wrong. There is nothing wrong with killers trying to complete their objective. Just like survivors try to do gens as fast as possible, the killer has the right to do their objective as fast as possible too.
The game doesn't need large fundamental changes, it's closer to balanced than it's ever been. The main thing solo survivors need is a little more information, which the devs have revealed in their latest developer update, that they're working on it. As things stand now, Survivors are the power role, not the killer. Well, Coordinated survivors who know how to work together and loop the killer for more than 6 seconds.
Never once said they shouldn't be. I was making a point which you didn't get. The point was even without perks killers are still more powerful than survivors. This is a problem because the gap between survivors ability to survive and killer's ability to kill is too big in my opinion. After the latest hatch and key changes survivors are now left with even less means to escape and rendering keys even more problematic. Now people think if you play a key you're going to hold out on your team and wait for hatch. Keys can still have some use with addons but no one is going to think you're using them for addon power.

The harassment was well documented. Just because you personally did not see or experience it does not mean that it didn't happen.
Leatherface players were specifically wearing the blackface mask to target POC and characters of color. Nobody was using the LGBT charm to carry out attacks. They were victims of harassment, not the ones carrying it out. I 100% believe you understand this distinction and are just here to troll or play the contrarian for the sake of it.
And THOSE players who did this are the ones that should be punished for it. I have 1800 hours in this game and I have never even seen a cannibal use any of those cosmetics let alone harass anyone with them. And even if they did, again, punish the individual and not everyone who owns them because of the stupid actions of a few. This is ridiculous and this is coming from someone who doesn't even play killer and really hates the cannibal.
-
Trying to delegitimize my opinion by calling me a troll and saying I act like a victim is beyond pathetic in you to say. I am neither. It’s literally no different with how survivor mains on this forum react to killer posts. Neither side is better than the other.
They react that way because they know survivors still need so much more and when we see killers getting new things it feels like a slap in the face to us. Even if they were to take away perks from killers they still would be more powerful than survivors. Survivors have to make a loadout based on assumptions on how the next killer they go against is going to play. We only get 4, so if we don't go into the match with the right ones say against a tunneling killer then its probably not going to end well for us. We can use DS every match, but should we have to? Why should I buy new perks if I am forced to use the same perks every match just because I must assume every killer is going to be toxic? As I have said, this game needs to have big fundamental changes.

For the way you speak and answer to other people, specially the ones that dont agree with you actually yes, you come out as tinking you are the only one with a valid point. The way you feel and the way you are percieved are two diferent ones, you "might" tink you are being fair with what you say, but most people percieve you as entitled to what you say and im not the only one that has seen and mentioned that to you, plenty of people have quoted you on that regard. No i didnt, its quite clear how unfair and one sided that sugestion is, theres no sliver of fairness on it. Just answer me this one question about your "as fast as the killer sugestion", whats the compensation to the killer with that, what makes its as fair to the killer to implement such a buff to survivors. Quite honestly i dont need to dive to much on that regard, plenty of people when reading your post know the kind of person you are, its not hard, if you havent noticed most people who quote you are almost always againts your ideas, correct you on why they are wrong or straight out wonder if you are being serious, go back to your own post and the many people who have quoted you. Ignore me if you want, that wont stop many people on the forum to call you out and quote you as much, in fact i can asure you, i wont be the last person to correct you on the way you tink, so you might as well start doing a long list of ignore people, altought that will surely let you with little people in the long run to have a discusion with. You do are right, those are sugestion, i never told you not to post them at all, but that wont stop them from being criticised by me and everyone else who feel like doing so. I a game that has had such things implemented from day one? sure it makes total sense to kill the killer (aka VHS), in a game where the core concept its to kill or run no, it doesnt make sense at all. Its not me the one going on the complete defense each time im quoted, thats on you, every time someone tells you why your ideas might be wrong or they are actually wrong you imediatly go "NO you are wrong and im right", you want to have an actual conversation? start being more open minded to the fact you might be wrong, you might be seying things on the wrong light or might be straight out biased about things, until you actually acept this things im going to tell it you straight out, you arent going to have a decent conversation around here.
You are right, killers arent the only ones creating toxicity on the game, but heres where you are wrong, survivors are just as toxic, but with this you are proving my point that you are biased towards the survivors, specially with your last words, if you cant se that survivors can be just as toxic in creating a horrible experience on the game, more so to one side that its just as important to the game (aka the killer) then you are showing your one sided mentallity on the mater, survivors can be just as toxic, survivors can be extremely entitled, survivors can, will and continiously haras killers into DC just for the literal sake of doing that, or are you going to tell me they dont do those things? sorry but if you say they dont you are just being absurdly blind to the mater.
You want to have an actual discusion? lets have, but seriously, leave your one sided minded opinions on the door and be more open to "concieve" the idea you can be wrong on your ideas, THEN whe might be able to go somewhere.
Theres no point in having a discussion with you. Killer mains lose their freaking minds every time survivor mains suggest something here they think will just break the game for them. We can't suggest anything new without being talked down and made to think it was a bad idea if it involves allowing survivors do new things they couldn't do before usually it seems. Killers can play an offering that literally lets them murder survivors. What do survivors get in their offerings that is anywhere near that kind of offering? Nothing. Moris are an offering that lets killer perform unique actions on the survivors. Survivors do not have any offerings that let us do anything unique to the killer. Survivors should have a mori type offering as well. But I'm not going to keep arguing with that you here since its not even what this thread is about. Face camping is wrong and toxic. It needs to end now. My desire to suggest or hope for anything new and unique for survivors in this game just dies every time I come here. I've gotten to the point where I don't really care anymore. Its like a freaking sin for survivors to come here and suggest anything new it seems.

Am i mocking you? actually i am, am i harasing you? not really, if thats what you feel its on you, then again i have seen a patern on you to make yourself a victim quite a lot, specially when people dont agree with you in any shape or form, you imediatly disregard what you are told and stick to your square shaped opinions, tinking you are the only one with a valid point, and the funny thing is im not the only person that has pointed out this, but then again, you always ignore this and just keep pretending your ideas are the only valid ones, you have some serious mental gimnastic going on in that side. Your sugestions arent "to much" they are for the most part straight out ridiculous or overly survivor sided, and just to point out the very few i remember at the top of my head:
Make survivors as fast as killers (ridiculous and quite dumb)
Give survivors BT to both on ANY kind of unhook (rewards survivors for dumb plays and just straight out prevents them from learning to do smart safes)
Report camping proxy camping or even patrolling (something that will create a super abusive system where entitled survivors will report killers for ANY dumb reason, and its a fact survivors will abuse this system, just as they abused the old proximity "anti camping" mechanics and devs straight out took it out of the game for that)
Survivors killing the killer (self explanatory, dumb beyond belief and completly againts the core concet of the game)
Demanding double the pallets on every map (wich is just as laguable as it sounds)
I could go on and on, but so far in all the time i been around the forum and seen your post, 99% of them are viased towards survivors buffs while at the same time nerf anything killer related, and im going to repeat it because you seem to always ignore it, plenty of people have pointed it out to you, and yet you keep ignoring it.
On the next point sorry but its laguable you tink your opinions and ideas are for the better of the game and the comunity, that unless whe go back to the main point of your viasness towards survivors, you lack a fundamental understanding of what its true balance, you varely ever give something in return to most of your ideas, going for both sides, demanding ridiculous buffs to survivors perks and mechanics, while at the same time demanding nerfs to killres powers and perks, and this isnt something new, again as it needs to be hammered down, PLENTY of people have pointed it out yet you always ignore it.
Mocking your ideas quite honestly its just a side thing when im around, but unlike you i have shared plenty of ideas that unlike yours, are tought with balance in mind, considering both sides and what could potentially be good and bad, but in all honesty i doubt you are ready for that conversation as its blatantly obvious to most people you (as i have repeated plenty already) always just look out for survivors buffs and killer nerfs.
The only thing whe might agree upon is that certain things hav eto change on the game, But unlike you i dont only se what i percieve as "bad" from the killer side, you want actual problems that need to be adressed aboce your petty needs to nerf killers?, heres a list:
Map layaout needs to be heavily adressed
Pallet distribution
Structures safetiness wich mixes with pallets, creating ridiculously safe areas for survivors to abuse quite easily
Match making
Survivor perks (like boons as one of the biggest problems in the courent game)
Game objectives (mostly the generators speed repair and the problem generators in themselves create as survivors are forced on gen repair simulator most of the game, creating a rift on the concept of killers chasing survivors and survivors running away from killers in a more organic and fun way)
Survivors items (mostly healing kits wich are a problem in the courent meta, specially convined with CoH wich just creates a tremendously unhealty enviroment for M1 killers wich are completly gutted and striped out of lasting preasure trought the game)
Killer balance to make the bottom of the barrel more engaging and up to par to A and above killers in order to create a more diverse experience
And theres plenty more problems wich are FAR more relevant, and why do i say this? simple. Unlike you i se the core problems of the game, and its NOT tunneling or camping, those are bioproducts of much more relevant problems wich IF where adressed would reduce said problems significantly.
If gen speeds are adressed killers wont be as preasured to rush the game, wich in turn meens they will not tunnel as much or even face camp (then again, there will ALWAYS be people doing this just for the lols, just like theres PLENTY of survivors going to games for the sole and ONLY purpouse to bully killers until they force them to DC something you rarely ever awknollege at all).
Another thing whe might agree upon is that the game has quite a lot of toxic things on it, but until you also aknowllege the heavy part survivors play on it, how they are just as toxic if not worse than killers, how they also push killers on DC constantly theres not much to talk about, you seriously need to take a few steps back and look at what you say and what you missed while being so stubornly fixated on tinking killers are the only ones creating a toxic enviroment for the game, not to mention you seriously need to take a long look at the MANY overpowered mechanics survivors have on their side and THEN whe might be able to start talking about proper balance for the game.
Wall of text much?
I don't try to make myself out as a victim here or think that I am the only one with a valid point. I am simply giving my suggestions and opinions on things but yet when I do there are always those who come here and say things like "entitlement" when that is not how I feel at all. You misrepresented what I said when you mentioned my "make survivors as fast as killer" suggestion by not providing the entire context of that suggestion I made when I said it. I literally said when I made that suggestion that the LAST survivor when the hatch has spawned should be able to move around the map as fast as the killer so both the survivor and killer have a fair chance at finding it. Now when someone reads your reply and sees you say that they are going to get the wrong idea about me if they don't know what I really said. That alone is reason enough for me to ignore you from now on. If you're going to quote me, then quote what I actually said. And by the way, all of those things you mentioned that I said are just suggestions... in a feedback and suggestion forum. They are simply things I'd like to see in the game one day. I'm sorry but being able to kill the killer under the right circumstance makes total sense. I've watched a thousand horror movies in my life and the bad guys usually die in them. I never said make it an easy thing to do either. Of course it would be difficult to do. That would be the point. It would be a super risky thing to do but rewarding if its done. Killers can mori us so whats the problem with survivors being able to do the same to them? I don't feel like going over everything I've said in this forum just to appease you. If you don't like my feedback and suggestions, then don't read them. If you think mocking me all the time is a good way to respond to me then go for it, but you're wasting your time. If you care about mocking me rather than having a conversation on my suggestions then I don't care to hear from you.
Killers aren't the only ones creating a toxic environment in this game, but they are doing most of it in my opinion. Like I said, face camping and hitting survivors on a hook, as well as tunneling and unnecessary slugging is far more toxic than anything a survivor can do to the killer.

Quite honestly i mock you often as your mentallity its very similar to that of hunter main, both are agresively viased towards demanding VERY ridiculous nerfs towards killers while at the same time demanding VERY idiotic buffs to survivors. For the most part i just copy paste your post with little teaks and change them to killer situations to show how ridiculous your post look, most people can se that as the hands up say something in comparison to you always geting quoted and heavily corrected on just how wrong you are most of the time. So you "might" tink i failed miserable, the peopel here on this topic clearly tink diferently.
That said going back to your "sugestion" its quite honestly a very dumb one, you arent creating a healty state for the game, you are just demanding an opresing "behave like i demand or screw you" type of place where everything its made in favor of survivors and screws over killers, i have seen you plenty of times demand very ridiculous nerfs to the game with no compensantion of any kind, while at the same time just demand survivors be handheld much more they already are, you just want an easy to win game for survivors, if you cant se that its not everyone else problem. You need to take not a step back but a good walk and se just how poorly structured your ideas are, how lacking of balance they are made and MAYBE you will be able to have a decent conversation with someone and not be bashed and rtidiculed as much as you are constantly.
You're mocking me to harass me in my opinion. You think my suggestions and opinions are too much, but they aren't. If you think face camping and hitting on the hook is in any way Ok in this game then you are completely wrong. I have met so many people who have said that face camping and other toxic actions by killers make the game unfun and unplayable for them. This is a problem. Me pointing that out is not saying anything new and it is not dumb. I'm not demanding anything. Stop putting words in my mouth. I am stating my opinion on what I think would make this game and its community a better experience. Look at how you responded to me. You're more interested in mocking me and insulting my opinions than you are in working together to come up with a good solution to this. Certain things in this game have to stop NOW. Camping has to stop NOW. Tunneling has to stop NOW. Unnecessary slugging has to stop NOW. It could all stop today if the people who do these things would simply stop doing it which would make this community better and the overall experience of the game for everyone better. That is what matters here. The toxic bull crap in this game has to stop and it has to stop now.

If hitting on hook and camping are so toxic and unsportsmanlike that it needs to be reportable and bannable, then so are flashlight spamming and teabagging. But no, you are too entitled to see that. Sad.
Its not entitlement to point out the FACT that flashlight spamming (which is a limited charge item btw) and teabagging (which gives the killer an advantage if it happens at pallets or windows) is in any way comparable to the toxicity of hook camping and hitting. You can call it that all you want, but all you're doing is trying to divert away from the fact that killers who do that are being extremely toxic. Hooked survivors can't do anything against face campers. They rely solely on their team to help them out of a situation that could very easily end badly. There is no comparison here. The fact that people here are trying to compare these things as similarly toxic is laughable and shows great ignorance on this subject.
-
Downing 2 survivors in a row doesn't mean you get a guarantee kill on either of them. It simply means you downed 2 survivors in a row. You choosing to do something other than hook them creates the risk involved in that decision. If you feel its better to hook survivors then hook them. How do you know you would even get to the hook in a shorter time anyway? This is a non issue

The next can be a 1 day suspension, then 3 day, then a week and then if they still keep doing it then just keep adding time to it.'
No? Just..no?
There's no set definition to what even face-camping is. Do you know how many BS reports for a Killer 'facecamping' when they were not doing so? Also; do you expect the devs to just take angry-they-lost Survivor's words on it?
Do you know how many times I've had salty Survivors accuse me of 'proxy facecamping' because I put my Hag/Trapper traps NEAR the hook? IE: In obvious chokepoints, not next to the hook itself). Now imagine 'facecamping' becomes reportable; Survivors who lost fair & square would report Killers for facecamping, just as as 'screw you'.
SWFs would group-report. Play Doctor? Reported for facecamping. Used NoED? Reported for facecamping. Managed to down everyone before 3 gens popped? Reported for facecamping.
The day the devs punish a tactic on behalf of whiny Survivors who can't stand losing is the day I uninstall this game, downvote it to oblivion, and never look back. This is a horrible, biased idea based on nothing more than 'I don't like facecamping, thus Killers should be punished so I can feel better'.
Ok... but those "whiny survivors" who complain about face camping do it for a reason. Its not like were trying to make the game unplayable for killer mains or anything. Obviously there would need to be some kind of proof provided before anything is done if they ever recognized it as reportable. You shouldn't want to uninstall the game over this if its done fairly. Don't you think face camping might make survivor mains want to uninstall the game too? It sure has for me. I have stopped playing this game a lot in the past few months over toxic killers. Toxic play styles is the most frustrating thing about this game for me. This is a problem with the community and players of this game. Not everyone does it, but those that do have done it enough to bring light to the issue and make aware that it is in fact a problem in this game.

Ground humping after every pallet drop, vault jump, at the exit gate, after a DS, overabusing the stunt mechanic of a locker, exploding generators continiously just to create noise, abuse of flashlights to bully killers and many many more things is something that simply ruins the game for me and many more in my experience. It happens in a daily basis and thats a fine thread that has a lot of killers on the verge of of leaving the game. A group of survivors doing the forementioned list of things over and over is simply unsportsmanlike and it needs to be recognizes as disrupting normal game play. Its toxic and something needs to be done to greatly discourage it from happening. Bullying the killer trought the game just for the sake of it and i dont care what anyone says about it. At any point it happens on the game its toxic.
In my opinion the simple solution to this is just to make it reportable with levels of punishment for doing it. The first time can be a warning so they know not to do it again. The next can be a 1 day suspension, then 3 days, then a week and then if they still keep doing it then just keep adding time to it. It doesnt have to be a ban so there can always be that chance that they get in and stop doing it. If there is any concern that it would deter people from playing survivors or the game then wouldnt that be a good thing to have less survivors players doing this? If steps are being taken to address it then isnt it something that is seen as problematic in the game? I do hope something can be finally be done soon to put and end the the continious abuse killers are subject to in a daily basis in this hopeless situation for the bullyed killers.
If you're trying to compare those things to being even half as toxic as face camping then you're completely wrong. Sorry but all the things you listed as "ruins the game for you" first and foremost do not prevent you from playing the match. Being face camped on a hook however does. There is no comparison in toxicity here. Also exploding generators to create noise? What? Did you mean locker because you know survivors can't actually make skill checks happen when they want just to miss them over and over to create noise. DS can be avoided. Its your fault if you pick up a survivor before the timer runs out. Flash lights are limited. They eventually and often very fast run out of charge. Bouncing up and down after a pallet drop actually gives the killer an advantage in catching that survivor... because they're not running from the killer when they do it. None of these things prevent you from playing the match. You know what usually prevents a survivor from playing though? Face camping. It takes a super coordinated effort to stop a face camp and even still its very risky.
You tried to mock me in your reply, and failed miserably. Face camping is a big problem. The things you mentioned are not. You can keep playing and do something about every thing you mentioned survivors doing. A face camped survivor relies solely on their team to try to get them out of that situation. It doesn't usually end well in my experience.

Punishing with bans is not the way at all, it has to be something in the gameplay itself, otherwise players will find every possible way to evade the system, over the fact that it's just a bad idea. Proxy camping can be countered, the real problem is the uncounterable part of facecamping
Well the point I was trying to make is that something needs to be done to simply discourage players from doing it. If something can't be changed or added within the game to do this then the only other thing I can think of is recognizing it as disrupting normal game play, which in my opinion it does, and giving warnings then suspensions for it. Once players see that happening I strongly believe most face camping would stop. The most annoying thing about this game for me and the thing that deters me from it the most is toxic killers. I used to love this game and invest a lot into it. The longer I played however the worse it got as I encountered more toxic killers.
-
Face camping is something that simply ruins the game for me and from my experience a lot of other survivor players too. It happened to me again today and that fine thread that still has me attached to this game gets a little thinner every time it happens. A killer standing in front of you to face camp and even worse when they decide to hit you over and over on the hook is simply unsportsmanlike and it needs to be recognized as disrupting normal game play. Its toxic and something needs to be done to greatly discourage it from happening. Proximity camping is toxic too and I don't care what anyone says about that. If it happens in the end game collapse that is one thing but before that is just toxic.
In my opinion the simple solution to this is just to make it reportable with levels of punishment for doing it. The first can be a warning so they know not to do it again. The next can be a 1 day suspension, then 3 day, then a week and then if they still keep doing it then just keep adding time to it. It doesn't have to be a ban so there can always be that chance that they get it and stop doing it. If there is any concern that it would deter people from playing killer or the game then wouldn't that be a good thing to have less killer players doing this? If steps are being taken to address it then isn't it something that is seen as problematic in the game? I do hope something can finally be done soon to put an end to face camping and hopefully other things as well such as tunneling and slugging in hopeless situations for the survivors.

Its not a bait thread. Its my opinion and feedback on something I strongly believe is and has been ruining this game for a long time. I'm a survivor main with 1800 hours played in this game so I know from experience how much it makes the game unfun to play.

Aww man... if only killers didn't camp... like it wouldn't be something that would ever need to be addressed or complained about. Sounds like a toxic killer problem to me.

I know I'm not the only one who thinks BHVR has pretty much nerfed the Hatch into the ground. The fact that the Hatch ONLY spawns for the last Survivor isn't a good thing, and I know that even Killer mains are complaining about this. So BHVR, please fix this.
I completely agree. I have dropped millions of points to get keys in this game and now I feel it was all wasted. The hatch change was beyond wrong and unfair for survivors. When I found out this happened I literally leaned back in my chair and regretted putting as much time and investment as I have into this game. I honestly couldn't believe they did this. The hatch should not have been changed this much. It should still spawn based on the number of gens done and survivors alive. That was never a problem. And also the fact that the key doesn't instantly open the hatch now is another unnecessary and unfair thing for survivors. The fact that the hatch was literally the only way anyone was going to escape in many situations if you had a key was already annoying. Now you can only use it if you're the last survivor and it has a delayed open animation now? You have got to be kidding me. Keys are worthless now in my opinion and I wish I could get all my BPs back I ever spent on them. I'm never going to use them. Whats the point?
-
If you think face camping is a valid play and fun then you're literally part of the problem as to why many people complain about this game. Its not a valid play and it is not fun. It literally ruins the game for survivors and no the rest of the team should not be expected to finish the rest of the gens while the camped survivor takes one for the team. The killer should be severely punished for doing this. Face camping should screw the killer over so much that it discourages them from doing it. If that doesn't stop people from doing it, then recognize it as disrupting normal game play and start giving account penalties for it. I think if toxic killers had a nice 24 hour and stacking penalty for face camping you'd probably see a lot less of it.

While I am also in agreement about the tunneling/camping issue, unfortunately your post history does very much invalidate your opinion to a lot of people. I've seen you demand Noed be deleted, that the chainsaw shouldn't down, that exit gate perks need to be deleted, that survivors should be as fast as the killer, etc. Etc. So you DO come off very survivor biased.
There are issues on both sides that should be resolved by the devs that they are ignoring. There are things about survivors that need to be nerfed as well, like the strength of CoH, the flashlight bullying, to name only 2 of many.
There is no easy way to stop the tunneling and camping, it's been in the game for too long, and any punishments that have been suggested could be exploited by toxic survivors, ruining the game the same way from the other side.
Honestly.. the game is supposed to be in the killers favor, that's the core idea behind it. If the killers hadn't been nerfed so much to cater to whiny survivor mains, maybe they wouldn't have adopted such a cheap tactic to win. And that's coming from a survivor main.
Survivors should be as fast as the killer when they are the last one and the hatch has spawned. If you're going to mention things I have said, please be sure not to leave out details that would make others think I meant something else. Yes, NOED is overpowered. I'm not the only person that thinks that or posts about it. Cannibal's chainsaw shouldn't instant down unless it become powered up first by doing other objectives to make it that powerful temporarily. Exit gate perks that do block the lever for so long that the survivor can die before being able to interact with it need to be changed. These are not unfair or bias opinions. These are suggestions that I really do feel would make this game more balanced and fair.

That just proves my point. You're having bad matches, either due to your own skill or SBMM just decided you're not having fun today and then make posts complaining. My Survivor matches, tho extremely boring, are won in a couple of minutes with 2-6 hooks, which happens like 90% of the time, SoloQ aswell. Most people can agree that Survivor is the power role, unless the Killer is Nurse or Blight, which are the only Killers that can play against a good SWF.
To your point about running Killers. How hard is it? You're running around a Pallet a few times and then drop it or ShiftW because the Killer mindgame'd themselves. The skill ceiling for Survivor is extremely low, even Killer is pretty easy
That simply is not true. The skill ceiling for survivors is a huge difference between people who can loop a killer for 5 gens and those who go down within a few seconds of being found. The majority of survivors can't do that in my experience, not even close. And most of the things I complain about are camping and tunneling, which shouldn't be a thing in this game to begin with and that is not an opinion original with me. A lot of survivors agree those actions are terribly unfair for survivors.

I've never seen an objective, non biased opinion from you. Either crying for unnecessary Killer Perk nerfs or unnecessary Survivor buffs
Because you think anything I say is a bias opinion rather than feedback based on my experience. I want the game to be fair and believe that it currently is not fair for survivors. I do believe a lot of changes need to be made. Most survivors aren't professional killer runners in this game.

Aren't all your posts biased in the Survivors favor? Kind of a weird thing for you to say
You're mistaking fair opinions and suggestions as biasness. That is you being bias by the way.
-
I would rather see camping as a reportable offense and people start getting banned for it. That would stop it from happening in a heart beat. It should be considered as disrupting normal game play. Its not enough to just have in game mechanics to discourage it. This is the most toxic and unfair thing a killer can do to a survivor and it needs to stop yesterday.
-
Just a friendly reminder that tunneling is in fact toxic and is ruining this game for many survivors. I can't imagine any who are ok with this are in the majority. Saying there is nothing wrong with it proves ignorance on the subject and a severe biasness. I have seen so many people mention tunneling as a reason they either hate this game or simply don't want to play it anymore. It has to stop. It needs to stop. Something has to be done about this.

Yes. RPD is one of the best maps they have made. I never see killers have issue with it either. They seem to do pretty well in my experience on a map a lot of killer mains complain about. Playing on the map more often does help you figure out how to navigate it better. At first it was super confusing but that to me just made the game scarier which is what I like.

There are a plenty of situations in which the final survivor is not escaping out the exit gate if the hatch is closed. Sometimes doors spawn on the same wall. Sometimes the killer can watch both doors because there's no LoS blockers on either door.
There's no reason to balance for the last survivor and exit gate situation, because that's inherently killer sided and there's not a problem with that because the killer has already won the game.
No the killer wins the game when the last survivor dies. No perk should give the killer this much of an end game advantage if one survivor is left and the hatch is closed. What is the survivor's option at this point without a key? Perks like this are going to force survivors to use keys just so they can have an option to escape against build's like this.

If a team of survivors is giving the camping killer 4 unique hooks before all the gens are done, that's a survivor issue not a perk issue.
Same thing with the killer tunneling a single survivor to death.
The issue you are having with the perk is not the fault of the perk.
No, but it still benefits the perk anyway. You're trying to say we should do nothing in a situation where the killer is clearly being a toxic jerk to someone just so this perk doesn't gain power. We don't even know if they have it until the end. There is too much risk to make the "right" decision in every match and all we can do is hope things work out for the best in the end. And also, a camping killer is a toxic killer issue, not a survivor issue.
-
@Starrseed said:
Oh boy hello katemain I thought you quit nice to see you around.
Since you always complain about tunneling and camping you actually should like this perk it gives the killer a reason not to tunnel and camp cause it makes his endgame viable and to be fair gens go relatively fast atm so endgame builds are a good chance for killers. The only thing I don't get is what timer are you talking about? Do you mean the end game collabs? That thing only starts if the killers closes the hatch and let's be real what are the odds the last survivor escapes through the gates at this moment anyway I actually never saw that happen
When and where did I say I quit? I have said I would in time if things didn't change. There is a difference...
Yes I do always complain about tunneling and camping because its ruining this game for survivors. I also don't really notice much less of it happening even when this perk is used.
-
@Crowman said:
There really isn't anything survivors aren't going to complain about.
A perk that rewards the killer for spreading hooks around the match by giving them more time to finish the job when the gens are finished is not overpowered nor does it need a change. The only situation in which the perk can seem oppressive is when there's only 1 survivor remaining and that's a situation that already favored the killer.
Also you complain about camping and tunneling and then want to nerf a perk that rewards a killer not doing that.
If you think a killer can't camp or tunnel and still benefit greatly from this perk then you're wrong. The only thing they have to do is hook each survivor 1 time. In fact it seems tunneling would benefit this perk because if only 1 survivor is left what chance do they have to escape with a full token no way out? Camping is a toxic move by killers and survivors often try to save the person being camped because they know its a toxic move. I guess we should be punished for simply trying to save someone on our team.
Also just for clarification, I am talking about a last survivor situation although I think the perk altogether needs to be changed to half its time. I have seen so many last survivors die with no other option because the lever was blocked off even when the end game timer ran out. This is not fair. This perk does not discourage camping or tunneling. At best it might prevent it from happening for the first few minutes. Maybe you should think about WHY survivors complain about a lot of things in this game. Most survivors in my opinion are just trying to have fun, meme and get jumped scared in a scary game and aren't trying to be the best looper in the world.

Like what will it do? It will get you extra kill. Oh, so broken. It's basically NOED effect. You play whole game with 3 perks and it will give you a chance in end-game. How is that OP?
If you don't screw it, you will escape anyway.
And it's weird to look at it as "punishes survivors for being hooked during the match". It's better to look at it as "rewards killers for hooking different survivors". This perk is actually worse if you are camping / tunneling, because you are not going to get full duration...
That perk design is actually really healthy and we need more perks with same system. Hey, we got that, but Grim Embrace sucks...
Nope. The perk is overpowered. I don't care if it makes killers hook different survivors. That doesn't make the perk fair. If we literally cannot interact with the lever with this perk active then the timer should be extended for the amount of time it makes the levers blocked. If the killer finds the hatch the last survivor is pretty much dead. It needs to be changed.
