People like you complain endlessly about DS....”I wasn’t tunneling!!!” This isn’t fair!!” Well guess what, it’s also not fair for a survivor to be hit with NOED when they are forced to rush gens because of camping. Same damn thing. So if this is your stance quit crying about DS, it’s totally fair...take your stun or play smarter.
-
So 1 draw, in what appears to be balanced and good game for both sides, 1 survivor win where the killer still got 24K, and a DC game. Is this actually supposed to be a convincing argument? It’s not...at all. Sorry but this is just completely pointless., as you obviously wouldn’t have posted any screenshots where the killer won anyway.
I get the impression that you believe killers should 3-4K most games?

Solution:
Only survivors who were hooked get exposed. Killer can now Mori survivors who they down while NoED is active.
I have suggested this a few times myself, although I’m not in favor of the mori part.
Gotta love the “do bones” trolls who have nothing to say about about how you can’t do bones against campers. Obvious the type of killers they are. I’m sure these same people complain endlessly about getting hit with DS thoughwhen ”they weren’t tunneling”, yet NOED is fine in scenarios where the survivors have no choice but to rush gens. Don’t complain about DS then...just take the stun.

I mean if the killer is camping then surely that's enough incentive to do totems. They surely seem the type to run noed.
I think you missed the part where I said spending time on totems increases the likelihood he will get another kill. If you aren’t on gens once you find out the killer is camping, you are playing terribly and only benefiting the killer...unless you are going for a BT save and trade. Doing dulls is in this case is stupid and not the fault of the survivors if NOED procs. You just have to take the chance. Or am I to believe you’d enjoy being camped and seeing the other 3 survivors running around the map trying to find totems as you are dying?
-
Only part of the video I agree with is SenzuDuck’s tweet.

@AshleyWB said:
If the killer is camping then how is he able to kill 2 people?
Was he on the same half of the map as the hooked Survivor or just a few meters away from the hook?
Either way if an actual camper downs you I would say it's due to your inability to sense clear danger.
Easy. You’re blaming the survivors? Camp first hook...unlikely especially in solo queue that all gens will get done and gates will be opened during this time. Get another hook after that and camp. If you waste time on dull totems, you could give him a third...so you are forced to risk NOED wiping you out. That’s the entire point of this discussion. A NOED camper can’t be countered as countering the camp by slamming gens eliminates the counter to NOED. It’s a common scenario where NOED really is BS. And if you try to counter NOED, you are probably handing him another kill by wasting too much time off gens.

This is bullshit though. People get accused of gen rushing all the time even when they haven't.
I have been told to "Get AIDS gen rushers" in post game chat. In a game where all totems were cleansed, all gens done, both exit gates open, all chests opened. What do you expect the survivors to do other than that? Sabotage every hook on the map?
Gen rush is an excuse used by so many people because they lost not because the gens went too quick but because they were too ######### to handle the survivors. Never hear the killer moaning that the game ends quickly because they slugged everyone within 2 minutes though.
Honestly, I think A LOT of this comes from Tru3...where every game that isn’t easy for him is blamed on SWF genrush. Just watch his chat, even before he says anything you’ll see people typing “must be SWF”, “GeN sPeEd Is FiNe”...it’s comical. Then all his fans just mimic what he says when it comes to their own games. Now he’s even saying “must be SWF with stretched screen”😂, so I’m sure we will be seeing a lot of that here.

"I have always thought for this reason, that NOED needs a requirement....nothing major but just something to prevent this scenario which is very common. For example, only survivors who’ve been hooked become exposed? At least the killer would need to hook each survivor to get the full effect....I don’t know. Just something."
OhTofu made a good suggestion quite some time ago. His suggestion was to remove the Hex-Status of NOED and give the Killer 0,5% movement Speed per Hook and after a certain number of Hooks possibly the Insta-Down. This would make NOED actually rewarding. And it would remove this useless Totem Hunt. Cleansing is sadly worthless unless all 5 Totems are gone. And in fact, finding NOED afterwards is even harder then, because the Totems which were easy to find are already gone.
Yeah I’d be good with that too. Aside from the camping thing, NOED is definitely not balanced if an actual good killer decides to use it, especially playing solo. Spend time on totems and you’ll just lose the game before the gens are even done. They do need to rework it, especially now with the map changes.
-
Killers when survivors complain about camping. - “Just do gens and get out!!!”
Killers when survivors complain about NOED- “Stop being lazy and just do the bones”
Funny how so many choose to just completely ignore how this conflicts. Counter to NOED eliminates the counter to camping. Any survivor who cleanses dulls while the killer is facecamping is throwing an already garbage game and a useless teammate. Anybody who says otherwise I can 100% guarantee would not be rooting on survivor teammates running around totem hunting while they are camped. That’s a joke, come on....everyone would be calling them idiots and probably consider suiciding out. Everyone gets mad when they aren’t all on gens.
I have always thought for this reason, that NOED needs a requirement....nothing major but just something to prevent this scenario which is very common. For example, only survivors who’ve been hooked become exposed? At least the killer would need to hook each survivor to get the full effect....I don’t know. Just something.
-
Aaah yes, heavy nerfs to gens to balance the game around weak killers....meanwhile all the other killers become ridiculously stronger. Also huge buff to camping, tunneling, and slugging.

-
I only like the stuff without talking...the whispering is usually awful imo. Wordless ASMR on Youtube is under the radar and the best I’ve found, the Monopoly one is probably my favorite. One of the few who gets it. Odd Tinkering is another one I like...this is not an ASMR channel, but more the unintentional variety. Just a guy repairing stuff, including old video game systems, without saying a word. I like the sounds.
-
I really wish people would stop acting like killers are all honorable and play with some moral code, and survivors are just scummy. We see it all the time here....
”If the devs made gens take longer, killers wouldn’t camp and tunnel anymore.”
”what did you (the survivor) do to make the killer facecamp you? You must’ve been toxic to them”
Now it’s allow killers to see ranks and groups and they will make an even and fun match out of it. Wrong. Killers would look for easy games and still use the strongest killers and moris. Just as if gens took an additional 20 seconds, killers would still camp, tunnel, and slug.
-
Couldn’t you just run into issues as a solo player, where nobody saves you because maybe the killer is around and they have no idea you have BT? Or perhaps they do save you, with the logic of “I thought you’d have BT”, and you get rehooked? SWF would still know who on their team has it. The only way it would benefit solo players more is if upon being hooked, the icon for BT pops up similar to Kindred, so others are aware you have it.
-
“Game is actually balanced around solo play”
Killer vs 4 solos is advantage killer, come on. If you’re going to argue to nerf SWF, then this at least needs to be acknowledged. It’s going to be even expanded further with the upcoming patch. A balanced game currently lies somewhere in the middle, a mixed lobby of solo and SWF. Hypothetically, if the devs removed SWF today, this game would absolutely be killer sided. I don’t see how people can even argue that. So yeah, solo players should be getting buffs (not just perk buffs) if you want to nerf SWF.

This exactly. Killer isn't the power role because "power role" is a stupid made up term parroted by bad killers who want to whine about how they aren't getting free wins. This is a PvP game, there's gonna be winners and losers, and the "power role" is just whoever is more skilled. If you want to be the powerful one in the game, then git gud.
Yep. People who use this term are the ones saying “this is a horror movie game, I’m supposed to be the scary monster who gets to kill everyone!!!” Like you said, this is a PvP game. Some games youll kill everyone, other games all 4 will run out. Thats why the 2K is the balance point, which it should be. Nobody wants to play the kill simulator they envision this game should be.
-
”power role” is a just a made up term, usually from killers who believe they should win every game and more than 1 escape should be rare.
-
I don’t know.... more than one survivor with small game, self care, and spine chill doesn’t exactly scream SWF squad to me.
-
Have to ask...are you sure about that SWF? It definitely doesn’t look like it at all.

As far as I know they only tested this idea without any other conditions than that the killer is near a hook. There are adjustments that could be made to not make it abusable.
Yep, everyone always comes in with the “this was tried before and it didn’t work” reply. To my knowledge, the emblem penalty for camping was added in after that test and was NOT included. Of course it wouldn’t work without something like that. If hook progression was tied directly to the emblem penalty mechanic, meaning if killer is engaged in a chase or another survivor is near the hook...it simply wouldn’t apply when that happens. This in addition to it being disabled when gates are powered seems very easy to try out.

This doesn't end the thread because I'm asking for developers "How much now?".
As @yandere777 pointed, there's a lot of changes since last stats. And still, there's no lie about the thread. The fact that I missed november stats don't invalidate individual stats from April because there're a lot of things that we can't see on november stats format.
The title of the thread isn’t even accurate with regards to the April stats though, that has nothing to do with missing the November stats. Obviously people who are informed and know it was never 80% are going to call you out on it if it’s left in the title.

Interesting... Didn't remember that. Thank you! Must be something around 70% still.. Which is still very high before Hex:Ruin nerf.
Guess again. It was more like 43%.
-
I think it sounds ok. While it does seem like it will help weaker killers, the thing is it also benefits the already strong killers too. So nothing is going to change as far as killers like Freddy, Spirit, Billy being used in very high volume. Those killers will now have easier games so we will have to see if it’s too much or not. People aren’t going to switch to Clown and Legion now.
-
Killers used to complain that ruin was broken in 30 seconds every game lol. If it was actually vital to game health, these genrush complaints would’ve been as popular just as much then as they are now. But no, they weren’t. Interesting. So no matter how you slice it, there’s exaggeration going on somewhere. If the perk was being destroyed early every game, what’s the difference now? Hmmm

At 1:02 and 1:20 he broke chase when you were an easy target ie running and leaving scratchmarks everywhere, fast vaulting right near him. You'd almost have to try not to catch up to a survivor making those kind of reckless moves.
At 1:50 all 3 of you on a gen and you all ran to it leaving tons of scratchmarks, not to mention he should have been able to see your scratchmarks leading towards the gen. Was he chasing the 4th survivor around and completely ignoring everything else??
From 2:30 to 3:00 all 3 of you ran to a gen plus you missed a skillcheck and then all fast vault out of there? How does he not pay any attention to any of you?
At 3:38 he completely ignores you even tho it's clear your wounded. I would have gone for you and gotten another easy down. He was more concerned with the person on the hook getting unhooked.
At 4:31 another player starts messing with the portal right next to the gen. Most demos I've played against would have rushed to portal there, especially at that stage in the game.
At 5:02 he completely disregards you and goes for the Claudette hiding around the corner? What? He also could have used his leap attack at you and gotten an easy down, I don't know why he didn't.
At 5:23 he clearly sees you and could easily gain on you plus you're running and leaving scratchmarks and then fast vault right away after but for some weird reason he breaks the chase and THEN finally decides to use his teleport?
At 7:15 you break his portal and he STILL doesn't try to go after you. Most killers I've played against would have gone right over to me and tried to get a third down, leaving one survivor on the hook and the other in dying state.
The whole time you're teabaggin the exit gates he never once used his leap attack and also just ignored the downed survivor the whole time. Something seems off about that.
Don’t hit him with facts man, apparently the game is supposed to be balanced for killers who get 2 downs in 5 minutes. He dodged the question not once, but twice, when asked whether that is quality play from any killer. You’re right, something is up. This killer obviously had no clue what they were doing with Demo, not only does the play indicate that, but so do his perks show that he’s probably new to him. But yeah, let’s spin that into another silly genrush video.

uh...two hooks in 5 minutes is a lot more than one mistake buddy. You didn’t answer my question...do you believe that’s acceptable play for a killer?
Also...I knew it. Only 1 tier 3 perk...highly likely this guy is new to playing Demogorgon. Of course he’s going to struggle.
-
Heres an idea...how about, I don’t know....he could try hooking survivors? Took 2 minutes and 20 seconds to get his first down. Took another 2 and a half minutes to get his next down lol. Do you think that’s fine? So you think gen times should be balanced around killers who play terribly? Everyone would 4K in their sleep if that were the case. This is just yet another in a long line of “genrush” videos that proves absolutely nothing.
-

I main Survivor now, used to main Billy. Every now and then I go back to Billy. Sometimes I wipe the floor with the Survivors, sometimes they're ridiculously toxic. Camping pallets, just attempting to bully when they really can't. If you're one of the toxic lads who flashlight saves 4 times in a game, I'm gonna camp you, or tunnel you. If the survivors wanna be toxic, you gotta be toxic back. And as a now Survivor main, if I pull a purposefully mean move and get camped, I don't really care, I know it's deserved. But for DM's and stuff, just reply with "thanks", that usually stops them.
If you’re getting hit with flashlight saves 4 times, that’s you playing terribly. That’s not toxic whatsoever. You should be angry at yourself, not the survivor.
-
I think NOED is unfair just in two instances. One being a camper using it. It is unreasonable to expect survivors to cleanse dull totems when even killers themselves will tell survivors to “just do gens” if a killer is camping hooks. Any survivor who runs around looking for totems while the killer is facecamping is completely throwing the game. You need to be on gens to counter the camp. So in that aspect, I do believe it’s unfair and should have a requirement at least on the killer end so that can’t happen. For instance, only survivors who have been hooked become exposed. This makes it pretty useless on a camping killer, which is good. The other way I’d say it’s unfair is if a legit GOOD killer decided to use it. Let’s say hypothetically, a killer like Zubat decided to use NOED every game. If he were to use it on one of his stronger killers especially, spending time on totems would be a death sentence. You don’t have time or things will snowball quickly. So the survivors are pretty much screwed either way.
-
Definitely not. Killers would just take advantage of this by running heal slowdown builds for easy 4Ks, even though it would be overkill and not even needed. It would make the game especially unplayable for solo survivors.
-
I read that RE3 is less about puzzles and more action oriented? I think that’s a mistake, probably have to pass if true. That’s very disappointing. RE2 was perfect so I was really hoping for another game just like that.

would you offer sympathy also for survivors that quit? Yes or no. Im sure you tell them gg and keep their head up, rather than insult them. I’m familiar with you not only here but Reddit in the past, and know you are insanely biased.

Like I said before, the outcome is irrelevant.
The feeling of losing 3 gens (which is 60% of the survivor's objective) without being able to do anything about it is the issue.
Irrelevant? Many killers win after early gens lost. You said Huntress for you is weak. Why would you be surprised people want to see what led up to it? Come on. The rest of the game matters to see how the rest of the gens went, as well as needing to know what the survivors brought. All perfectly reasonable expectations. Do you give up with Hag in this same scenario? Honest question. I have a strong feeling everything you are saying has to do with using a killer you aren’t any good at. That ain’t a gen speed problem.

Ugh, that does hurt to see, but i am going to have to agree with the other comments in this.
I do understand the point, showing how gens are popping like crazy, but it is an 8 second clip. If it showed the supposed other 1.5 minutes of space patrolling around and foing a chase, and this still happened, then I would 100% agree. The problem is we don't know the first 1:25 of the game. He could have been afk for the first minute, he could have done a chase, or literally solved an equation to win a Nobel prize. There is a 99.9% chance he wasn't solving an equation, but we don't know.
I do believe that it is true, he did do his job. Bit without the evidence of the first minute and 25 seconds, this cannot count as evidence.
@SpaceCoconut can you please, if you have it, show us the minute and 25 seconds beforehand. They do need to see it.
I want to see the entire game, including post screen so can see ranks and items. For all we know, another gen never even got repaired. If something is going to be promoted as evidence of something wrong, it definitely requires the entire story so people can judge knowing everything. As it stands, it’s beyond useless.
-
No.Aside from the fact I just don’t think it’s a good idea, the devs would just end up getting criticized for how they rate the killers. How would that even be determined, there is no official tier list. One person might think a killer is strong, and another person might think they stink.
“why is [insert killer] still 80 seconds and [insert killer] is 90 the devs are so stupid they don’t even know their own own game!!!!!11”
You know that would happen.
-
Again, where is the full game? How do we even know from this 8 second clip, if the 1:25 prior is even accurate? Everyone knows how killer clocks can be exaggerated around here. I love how you are just saying the killer was doing his job, when we have no idea what happened before. Maybe he had an awful chase? You are making a bunch of assumptions to make this “evidence”, that’s just silly. Do you even know evidence means? Clue...it doesn’t involve you speculating everything about the game except for 8 seconds. “We all know what happened”...lol come on.This is a content creator who records matches, show the whole game. Simple. If not, there’s reason they are choosing not to.
-
@BigTimeGamer said:
Why not show the whole game? If 3 gens pop at once, usually its the killer over-committing to 1 person for too long
Right. For someone who posts full games on YouTube, to now just post an 8 second clip, definitely comes off like they might be hiding something. Let’s see it, it’s obviously recorded.
-
Unless you intend to, why would you just post a clip and not the full game on your YouTube channel? Seems like a suspicious. At minimum that’s a requirement if you are going to say something happened in a specific time. We should also be able to see how you played and what the outcome was.
-
After a certain amount of game time has elapsed, I wouldn’t have a problem with killer opening the gate early. However that killer certainly can’t continue doing anything, so there would be no nonsense like opening the gate early and then downing and camping a survivor. That killer surrendered and can gain nothing at all afterwards. It has to be time based, not generator based, otherwise too many will be babies and open the gate way too soon.

I mean then it proves the matchmaker and ranking systems are busted as all hell; so either way there is obviously a huge issue.
Matches like this are no fun for anyone, it's not even a game anymore it has no challenge.
Sure, it shows a matchmaking problem. This was shown however, to prove a point about game balance and it’s absurd. Had it been presented as a matchmaking problem, that would be different. I mean, anyone who thinks this shows a problem with gens has a case of entitlement going on. The odds were significantly against this basically perkless rank 15 killer, and it played out as expected.

Question: what's stopping you to enable an Obsession every game, no matter the perks in the trial? You would indirectly introduce an anti-tunnelling mechanic without any game play change.
Agree. I would say this idea is very similar to not knowing if a killer has NOED (yes their play can sometimes give it away, you know what I mean though). Questioning whether there is DS or not should also happen every game no matter what.
-
So you are asking for the survivor objective to balanced around weaker killers. Ok, so what about those killers you named who you are getting 2-3K with now? That would become 3-4K. You think that’s balanced? A major issue with this game is the gap between strong and weak killers, as well as many killers using playstyles such as camping, tunneling, and slugging which would be massively buffed with any “genrush” nerf. There is no easy fix to any of this. You can be good with any killer though, the weaker killers just require more time and effort. Pick one and only play them for a while. I think too many people try to be like streamers jumping from killer to killer.
-
Maybe if these content creators actually believe what they are saying, they would set aside their egos and start posting videos where not only gens go fast, but they get crushed and LOSE badly(if these games exist, that is). Don’t you think that would be a much better way to prove a point? But no, it’s always games where a few gens pop early and then stall, with the killer still at least managing a draw, usually winning. All it shows is something everybody should be aware of, gens will go faster early and slower late. Not hard to figure out. Some streamers, one in particular, like to run the narrative that every game they have the odds stacked against them, so when they win they look amazing and if they happen to lose “there was nothing they could do because the game is broken”. Even here ego seems to get in the way of making points, where a killer will complain about gens but in the same post claim they still 3-4K most games at red ranks.

That"s called punishing the gen rush , so at least they'll consider healing and of course with your tiny brain you can think further , of course they would chose / nerf thanatophobia and dying light . Geez survivors have really the IQ of a red fish.
You really should not be insulting the intelligence of other players while suggesting a 50% repair speed penalty. I’ve seen many bad ideas that are entitlement at its finest, but this might be at the top of the list. Insanely bad.
-
I’d love this. Don’t give a damn that Back to the Future isn’t horror, who cares.
the radiation suit would be another cosmetic!
-
I agree. I think the speed is balanced with regards to how quickly a killer can potentially snowball especially through tunneling and slugging. You see it now with many killers talking about how they need to play this way to 4K after the ruin nerf. Ok, so let’s say the survivors were given another objective (or repair slowed, whichever). Are we supposed to believe killers would then abide by an honor code (aka the “survivor rulebook” which is openly mocked by killers) and wouldn’t do this stuff anymore? Nope, sorry. This aspect is completely disregarded by so many. Killers who continued to tunnel/slug/camp would just stomp and be defended for “playing optimally”. You know damn well that’s what would happen. So in a nutshell, nothing can or should be slowed on the survivor side unless these playstyles are also eliminated in the base game, so a killer couldn’t use it as a strategy anymore. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t ask for the game to be balanced around playing totally fair, and also have the ability to not play that way and crush survivors any time you want. The only thing I’ve seen that I think is fair and should be implemented is Scott’s idea about the Trial warmup or whatever it was called.

I agree it would be abused....same way how survivors abuse just dying on the hook..
Had a bad first chase? die on the hook
Got stopped doing a hex:totem? die on the hook
DH did not work? die on the hook.
I agree it would be abused, but it would be the most fair option if both sides had a fast out, but I repeat myself, it would kill the game so killers just have to suffer through it.
Difference is those games continue on with each side still able to get points. Come on, it’s not the same thing at all as a killer opening a gate after the first minute and ending the game for everyone cause they’re being a baby.
they need to get rid of struggle entirely, and maybe even unhooking yourself too expect for Deliverance. Or do something else with kobe attempts that doesn’t involve draining the meter and going into second stage, I don’t know. So no quick exit, you have to hang there for the full amount of time. Of course the person can just go afk while on the hook, but at least they have to wait

No way. This would be heavily abused. Hex totem got cleansed? Open the gate. Had a bad first chase? Open the gate. It would be ridiculous, the escape points arent enough. It would have the give the survivors a pip as well as a lot more points to even be considered.
