  • I appreciate the additional hook that now can be gained by putting you back on it, more blood points for us both... not going to let you just escape though.

  • The argument that a perk needs to be earned is flawed by far. There are many perks that are in the game that require no input from the user of such perk. Exhaustion perks are a prime example of them on the other side or take Corrupt Intervention which blocks gens furthest away from the killer with no input at all. The idea behind these perks is not to require input or earn them, but they have a downside in the form of being deactivated or activated at specific times.

NOED is a hex perk that is only active after all 5 gens are done. The majority of the game the killer has the negative of having only 3 perks available to them and due to it being a hex means 1 or 5 totem cleanses can get rid of it all together. It is a situational perk at best, it is fine.

'' The fact is that you are not entitled to ruin the game for others by rage quiting a match because you don't like how it is going.''

uh , yeah , i am , karen . i don't owe you anything. its that simple. what have you done for people that d/c in a match ? are you their parent ? you bought their game or something ? you pay for their internet ? no ?

    well then .

Did you buy my game, did you pay for my connection? No! So, why you you have the right to ruin my game by DCing? You booted up the game and you signed up to play the game... so play the game.

The hypocritical aspect is that you are a child that cannot handle you not dominating other players in a game... go play against bots, you can rage quit all you want.

    1. Because i paid for the game , you didn't buy my copy
    2. I bought it for my own self enjoyment , i don't owe anyone or complete strangers online jacksh** , that never did anything for me. didnt pay for my internet , didnt pay for my console, didnt pay for my subscription , but yet i owe somebody online something ?

you're the entitled one for thinking people should sacrifice their own enjoyment of a game for yours . nobody owes you karens anything .

You bought a multiplayer game and each player is entitled to play the game for their self enjoyment. The fact is that you are not entitled to ruin the game for others by rage quiting a match because you don't like how it is going. You are not owed a win for buying the game or having the game go your way. Just as you do not owe others anyone anything, they don't owe you anything either... win or lose you signed up to playing the game with other people, so play the game. You can rage quit and ruin the game for everyone else, but that is your choice and you are to bear the consequences for your own actions.

You act like I never have a bad game, I will try and win and you can do the same... if I lose I however don't complain and demand to be able to ruin the enjoyment of others because they need to sacrifice their good time because I am not having a good game. You are the karen in this conversation... you can try and turn it around, but just take the L and play out the game.

If you want to quit the moment things do not go your way; play against bots!

  • If it is such a casual game, why are you rage quiting because things are not going your way... entitled much?

I didn't stick around to see.

And I play plenty of killer - enough to be rank 1 every month, but I'm a survivor main. The reason I complain about killers so much is because they have the ability to dictate your ability to have fun. Losing fast as a killer sucks, but some of that can be attributed to the killer's ability. Chasing in bad places, chasing too long, perhaps bad perks. But the survivors can't just take away the killer's ability to PLAY and TRY to have fun. There is no equivalent.

This is why you lose credibility. It is ok for the killer to lose fast, but you losing fast as a survivor is unacceptable. Regardless of whether it is caused by you personally or your team either way the survivors just as much are traceable to why your game ended in a similar fashion. If you play survivor teamplay and teamwork are part of it, it isn't only about your own performance but that of the whole team.

Also, survivors very much can take away the fun out of the game for killers... again another showcase of your biased perception.

  • You can pick and choose which perks to compare, which will result in your argument.

    Case and point:

Take spine chill, works straight out of the box, with no conditions or actions required. Speeds up the survivor and provides information, all for free. Compare that to Blood warden, where the EGC must be active, you need to down and hook a survivor before the others escape and has a limited time that it is active.... clearly the biased behavior of developers.

The fact is that the more powerful the effect the more restrictions are placed on it. Additionally survivors can have them 4x, while the killers have 1 and that to needs to be taken into consideration. The developers are not biased, they consider the flow of the game where 4 survivors and 1 killer are present. It is not an easy task...

  • Euhm... I bet you that there are more killers that are nice every once in a while than there are survivors.

When do you ever see survivors being concerned with the killers enjoyment and adapting their play?

  • You realize that people can provide end results of 4ks when they tunneled a survivor out against keys as well.

2/3 gens left means you killed a survivor before the last gen was completed, which according to your tactic means... they can get the hatch earlier! What are you doing... you realize that it showcases nothing at that point, because even if you killed the key user in such a scenario the hatch would not have spawned!

Read my initial reply that provides you with exactly the reasons why tunneling out the key user can be effective. Leaving 4 survivors alive till the end game usually is already a liability, which is even worse if they have a key.

As it stands getting rid of one survivor early on is one of the most effective ways to win. Letting survivors with keys stay longer in the game makes it more risky as their efficiency is higher and they have a key for when ever you killed someone to move their goal closer!

The best option is to slug away, but that isn't what you are stating... just play the game casually against a key is more likely to make you lose!

  • @MeltingPenguins

    Tunneling against a key lobby:

    • If done efficiently enough will result in a far easier situation to prevent the hatch from spawning to begin with. No Hatch means No key escape.
    • If you manage to apply it to the key user, the location of the key is now known to the killer and if the hatch spawns means they need to locate it and retrieve the key.
    • Also, if the key user has Weaved Ring? Now the key is out of your lobby completely and actually quite a bit of people that use keys combine it with the add-ons to not lose it.

How is not killing a survivor to then scare them away from the hatch even a good tactic? In that situation all 5 gens are completed and they can use one of the exit gates instead, as they now have 3 exit options.

The tactic you suggest actually is far more useful to apply when you tunneled a survivor out and even better the key user, as you just have 4 spots to defend: 3 gens and 1 key, if they manage to get the key = corral the survivors away from the hatch and try to down the survivor with the key as far away from hatch as possible, followed up by slugging most likely or another tunnel. You simply have an additional exit to defend and the additional objective that opens that exit; which naturally is the whole annoying part but that is what it means to play in a key lobby.

Most likely slugging the key user over and over and over again and try to get a mass slugfest going on is the 'better' tactic, but doubt you would really be happy with that either.

  • Which gens are we talking about?

The first 2 gens are pretty much guaranteed to be completed by your first hook. Regardless of how good you may be, it is really more likely the survivors fault if that doesn't happen than anything else. If they are good or lucky it might even be 3.

The question is what you do pressure wise for the last 2 or 3 gens. There are multiple ways to apply pressure:

    - 3 gen strats where you focus on controlling specific ones for the final one, sometimes 4 gens.

    - Snowball by gaining multiple downs in a row or hooks.

    - Lowering the amount of survivors you face by killing one quickly.

    - End game builds, that doesn't care to much about the gens and usually ensures a snowball at the end by a huge power spike.

Map awareness is important, even if you have quick downs if it is on the other side of the map from the gens... the time you take to walk back also slows you down. Do you take chases in dead zones or super strong options with tons of resources and all that jazz.

Also, consider where you choose to hook survivors. If you can defend the hook and multiple gens at once or hook them in a dead zone to punish any save.

You will hear many survivors complain about camping, tunneling, proxy camping, slugging and even gen camping or NOED user, gen regression perks or anything else that you use to build pressure. Yet that is how you do it!

  • @CluelessWanderer wooow you are blaming the survivors DCing on the killer... *applaud* the entitlement is real strong!

Guess what the agency of the survivors is their own, I play solo queue and if someone DCs it on them for giving up and ruining my game! I run kindred and BT in nearly all my builds and I will not rush the hook to save you, because that is the BAD play to do! Hang in there for a moment, I will and most likely succeed at getting you off that hook before you hit the next stage, give you 12 seconds of endurance and will even body block for you if they ignore me and I might swap position with you because frankly I am not that good at looping. Hang in there let's us push some gens, then when I am on hook slam gens and let me die for all I care... I will give you 2 mins to escape!

Blame the people that don't know how to punish campers and tunnelers while throwing in the towel because Boohoo they have to dangle and distract the killer like that for 30 seconds and in essence are making their distraction of the killer last longer. Darn the developers stated: hang there as long as possible to give your team time! Literally you are blaming your opponents for the choices of your own teammates.

If you DC, suicide on hook that is your choice and nobody forced you to do so! Hanging on the hook is part of being a survivor, just as holding M1 on a gen or running away from the killer. If you cannot handle that, go play killer or Civilization according to the devs it is a good alternative!

  • Avoid being caught first each game? Use spine chill can help with that.

Have some teamwork to save and rescue the one on the hook?

Practice is the only way to get better! By stopping to play the game, you won't become better.

The opponents are not going to make your time easier and it is unreasonable to expect that! Survivors don't slow down or give away free hits and consider the fun of the killer, just as the killer isn't expected to consider the fun of the survivors. Look at your teammates who are on the same side as you you to slam gens, take agro, etc.

  • You are still learning, learn to play with the opportunities presented to you. If that is classified as tunneling, camping, slugging, unfun, unfair, sweaty, toxic... realize that you are the killer, you are not responsible for them and their fun. Survivors are not going to slow down the game for you, they are not intentionally going to give you free hits or kills.

Play the game, make the right decision and if Feng runs into while in death hook ... take that present and ignore what they say in post chat. You can play like the nicest killer in the world, if you win... you are a filthy camping, tunneling, slugging baby killer with no skill!

My advise to you, if you want to enjoy killer... laugh at the salt in the post game and move on. They are just salty and poor sports when losing. Play accordingly to how you want to play.

  • Since when did meaning trying to win a game equate to not having fun?

The query is biased and totally misleading. Just because you play to lose? Don't you try and win? Most people enjoy winning when they play a game and there is nothing wrong with that!

Don't be a bad winner or loser, but to judge people on trying to do their best and win... to claim they aren't trying to have fun is complete bogus.

I think it's an effort between all 5 people, but I agree.

Survivors tend to go into fight or flight pretty easily, which is fun and great for the asymmetrical aspect, but it's also up to those who aren't being chased in order to ensure the strength of the team by looking out for each other. That means not hiding after an unhook, distracting the killer when a teammate is on death hook and being targeted, healing each other, etc. Teamwork is the core strength the survivors have, and unfortunately most matches lack it. But even without teamwork, the match can still be fun as long as we're offered enough time to hammer out some objectives (or if we just say F it and act goofy lol), which is where the killer gameplay enters the equation.

Again, nobody is forced to play any way they don't want to, but you're right that stronger team work and less focus on pushing gens quickly would (hopefully) see a decline in tunneling.

Yet if you turn to the killer gameplay to make up for the survivors lack of teamwork, don't you see the major flaw in that logic. If survivors work together they will have the time to do the objectives and more. They don't need to be a death squad either. Shouldn't you turn to the survivors to learn to look out for each other? They are on the same side after all, instead of asking the opponents to not capitalize on their own mistakes as a team?

This is a 1v4 game and yet the responsibility of the 4 is usually placed on the 1 they face. The point is part of survivors skillset is that of cooperation, as they are part of a team. Sadly enough people don't want to acknowledge that and rather act like this is a 1v1,1,1,1 therefore they need to be able to halt a tunnel without help, they need to be able to loop the killer forever and what not.

I came here as a new killer asking what I was supposed to do against survivors that capitalized on my mistakes. The response I received were some tips and get good! Yet when we talk about survivors... it is turn to the killer gameplay, the killer is toxic and nerf them. Why not, learn to play with your team?

Killers don't need to do anything. Survivors don't need to do anything either. Everyone has the freedom to play the game the way that they like.

Personally, I do what I can to not push gens too hard and work on the other objectives I'm able to complete as survivor. I take protection hits and distract the killer when necessary as well. I do what I can to make sure my teammates get a good amount of time in during the match, while also maximizing the amount of points I can get. I also try not break Ruin the moment I see it or work on more than 2 gens per match (unless we're down to the wire).

Do I wish more people played like me? Of course. But do I expect anyone to? No. Like you point out, fun is subjective but it's nothing worth seething about or getting mad at anyone over. Naturally that goes for both roles. But I think it's fair to say that ending the match quickly and minimizing the amount of gameplay isn't the way most people prefer to play. Hence why nobody typically has anything nice to say about sweat.

If you take your gameplay as survivor, I believe that it would prevent tunneling far more than anything they can do to a killer. From my perspective it are your teammates that can improve your chances against tunneling than anything else.

When I unhook someone I try and protect them, also nearly all my builds have borrowed time and I will flat out body block if needed to give my teammates time.

I am not as nice as you, I will cleanse the totem, I will push gens if needed and I will do my best to distract or loop to the best of my ability (which isn't amazing at all).

The issue is that people turn to their opponents to make the game fun for them instead of their own team.

  • @Apollos

Euhm... killers need to play in a way that ensures everyone else their fun, even if that comes at the expense of their own. Survivors can play how they want and not consider the killers experience? Playing to win only applies to one side.

The counter argument of it isn't fun for me, you must consider my fun... never seems to apply the other way. I never seen the survivors slow down the game and freely hand the killer pressure, because they are struggling and not having a good time... usually you get Baby Killer, learn to pressure! Yet when you do.... Not like that, that isn't FUN!

You have two opposing sides and both are trying to win. It is the nature of the game, each side will do things that aren't fun for the other. Telling people not to play to win or to simply outclass their opponents to have a chance is unrealistic. Survivors will slam gens and killers will kill as fast as possible. Those are their objectives afterall.

  • If you mindlessly use tunneling every match, decent survivors will punish you for it. Camping, tunneling, slugging are all tools to use as a killer, but mostly based on the situation that is presented to them.

  • Congratulations mister 2k killer main, that you are experienced enough to avoid the scenario on which you can not tunnel and camp. I play at red ranks and have 350 hours when I play killer usually the first 2 matches I give survivors some slack and play "nice" and you know what the result is? Gens fly! You claim tunneling and camping are Over Powered, while they are simply included in the way to play at high ranks if you aren't at a different level than the majority of your opponents. You cannot do it mindlessly either, it is timing, situational and not always the right call... just the same as slugging.

Then when I solo queue as guess what I do that as well, it is simply a RNG aspect on your team. Many don't use simple logic in their decision making, most of the tunneling situations are created by survivors and just because you ignore them when you play killer that is the reality.

Skill matters, but you cannot look at x K hour mains and go like, see them... they are what killers should be else they should be crushed! Most survivors aren't held to those standards, you need to be an Aryun quality survivor?

Should kindred be base kit, maybe... because it closes the gap between solo and SWF a bit, which would make balancing the game easier. Yet most games even what is considered solo has a duo or even a trio in the mix. Solo queue is not just 4 solos, you have them mixed with SWF teams! Killers face the majority of the time some form of teamwork.

Killers cannot assume they are against 4 solos, they have to assume SWF teamplay or have a 5 min match. Just like survivors need to assume that killers will try and kill them as quickly as possible when given the chance. That is the life at red ranks.

  • The penalty is because it runs the game for all the other players in the match, this applies to both sides.

If you are trying something new, then just take a deep breath and practice. When confronted with such a situation how are you going to deal with it... push on and analyze your predicament. You want to learn do you not and if they slam gens, you can open the gate yourself to force the end.

  • @Zokenay said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2401423#Comment_2401423

Not that simple on solo cue, people will likely dont know where you are, or that you need help due to a tunneler.

(Can we add an emote wheel already?)

Someone has to get you off the hook do they not?

I play mainly solo as a survivor and understand that concept, I protect the one I unhook and even usually have BT in my builds. I have also been left alone, had the healthy person hide away, slam a pallet in my face and farmed straight under the killers nose enough... yet I don't blame the killer for slapping me down and putting me back on the hook (I don't really run DS).

In the vast majority of cases it isn't the killer that created the scenario for the tunnel it are the survivors! I play both sides and understand that it is in the killers best interest to punish survivors for mistakes they make. If the killer hasn't found a new survivor to chase once you unhook, expect them to come back... if you rescued someone, you tend to have an additional health state, maybe less hook states and maybe you should you know... take agro!

  • 3k/4k or 3/4 man escape based on the role I am playing.

    2k/escape is a tie.

    0/1 is a loss.

Win or lose the fun of a game isn't solely depending on the outcome, a game can be fun while losing or winning and can be frustrating and less fun while winning or losing. Fun isn't solely based on the outcome you achieve and anyone who plays a game should understand that concept.

  • In return let us apply a similar penalty to survivors, so the speed of the game matches what you want to achieve.

If you stop working on a generator because it is finished or any other reason, a BP penalty is applied if you work or even tap on any generators for the next 60 seconds unless you have done any of the other objectives first, cleanse a totem, healed another survivor or safely unhooked them.

We need to stop the gen rush after all and punish anyone who dares to do their objective to quickly... lets be real, if you are being tunneled out of the game, maybe your teammates should step up and body block for you, wait for a safe unhook, allow you to hide away while they take agro and what not!

Instead of punishing the people for doing their objective... maybe work with the other 3 people to keep each other safe!

  • It is a perk only active at the end stage of a match with a tangible strong effect that can be countered before it is triggered, after it is triggered and the trigger is doing gens!

Therefore, either do the totems before the last gen, do the totem that lights up at the end before the save or give up one survivor and just escape. Like... why isn't it changed? Maybe because it really isn't all that bad to face?

  • @MadmegMain said:

All the killers in this thread supporting tunneling at 5 gens are pathetic no skilled killers

As someone that plays both sides, the question at that point is more how bad are the survivors to let a killer tunnel a survivor out of the game before even a single gen has been completed. It truly as someone that pretty much only does solo queue is astonishing to even witness such a failure of 4 individuals. It is actually less of a showcase of skill of the killer or a reflection of their ability other than seizing the opportunity presented to them by the survivors to secure an easy win.

You might me surprised, but in sports it could be extremely beneficial to use doping in order to maintain your leading position.

They also try to win, althought for some reason many are surprised.

Yet the use of doping is against the rules, while the acts of camping and tunneling have been stated by the developers themselves to be legitimate strategic elements of the game and within the rules of the game.

Making false equivalents are not valid arguments. You just make yourself look like a fool and showcase your inability to make a valid counter argument.

  • How else are you going to make sure any killer with a brain camps, so you can insult them in the end game chat and whine on the forums...

I don't get these people either.

  • 99% gates in the vast majority of cases provides more benefits than not. If you have any resemblance of teamwork it is always better!

  • @FilthyLegionMain said:

I know this. but this game isn't built for tryharding. before you ask, trying not to bait post. just wanted to waste time on a dc penalty.

Euhm... ever played at red ranks?

In any case not sure why you DC if you were tunneled, as that means you would have died... the more you share... I don't feel any sympathy for those that DC, they are horrible teammates and opponents.

  • You answered your question yourself... "It isn't like he is a strong killer" therefore he must be that he falls well on the line the devs see as balanced.

Boring or not fun to verse is a subjective question.

  • The reason is simple, the opportunity was there at 5 gens and eliminating a survivor at that stage is extremely beneficial and nearly creates a guaranteed win condition straight off the bat.

You might be surprised to hear this, but most people try and win when they play games.

  • Let's be honest the first 2 gens popping means little, many killers sees that as pretty much the first free ones.

Hex Ruin and Undying isn't always the best choice based on the killer you are playing. Not every killer can utilize this combo.

Consider the map and gen locations of where you take chases, hook and slug.

In the end much of it comes down to small choices. As many stated before for real feedback more information is required.

Also, sometimes you will be simply outplayed.

A good 1v1 doenst make a killer strong if he has no pressure in a 4v1. Take trickster as an example: Even after the buff hes still considered pretty weak, even though hes got one of the strongest 1v1s in the game (up there with slinger imo). But at the same time hes much less interesting to verse, which leaves both sides unhappy. the killer because he still lost, and the survivors because they cant have interactions with the killer, thats the point im making. give the killer a 4v1 potential (like blight, nurse, freddy, billy...) and make them less oppressive in a 1v1. that will make them more fun and overall stronger

So... make all killers have mobility?

    - Blight runs fast.

    - Nurse blinks.

    - Freddy teleports.

    - Billy runs fast.

A strong 1v1 doesn't by definition make them strong, but killers need to excel in a part of the game to stand a chance! The 110 killers have it more difficult in map pressure as they traverse it slowly, that is why they are usually even stronger in the 1v1... they rely heavily upon downing fast.

Answer the question I stated... what is the alternative? You can smart mouth, but are solely having mobility killers really the solution?

  • Have an objective view on what type of killers are chosen and are considered strong?

The fact of the matter is a killer either can traverse the map or they can guaranteed end chases quickly or they are considered bad, rng, etc. Most of the 'boring' killers you mention rely heavily upon downing survivors fast in order to apply any type of pressure on the team of 4! This is not a 1v1 game? What do you suggest that the developers do? Only make mobility killers? Is that interesting?

  • The points I see being made here is that:

    1. In an SWF you are querying if a gen is even being worked on...

    2. Apparently killing all survivors before 5 gens are completed make you a bad killer?

It sounds more like an issue you and your friends have than who you are facing?

  • If you ease up after a good start and let the other side recover... more often than not you are going to regret it.

  • If you don't want to escort the survivors out, I would just go around breaking pallets, breakable walls and spamming your ability if it grants points to pass the time.

  • Break the doors required early on usually helps. But above all Pick which gens you want to focus on, the one on the bar upper terrace is pretty a free be. Usually you have 3 to 4 good gens to defend, 2 decent ones and 1/2 just horrible ones.

Pay attention when chasing as it is a pretty small map, but can be pretty easy to catch one out of position that is a bit to comfortable on the gen. Some of the gens are really not that close to safety.

With PH the small elevations are nasty as it does not travel upwards, but you can place trails in bushy areas.

In the end it is a great map to practice applying general map pressure and overall decision making rather than just looping. Though it isn't a free win by any means, as it is also a pretty good map for survivors to slam gens quickly.

  • Grind out the survivor rank a bit, use the early ranks to practice looping and map awareness; where are others, where is the killer, how to avoid 3 gens and such and try to ensure you don't depip with gens, totems and some chase. Don't expect to escape!

Survivor is way better even as a solo once your team has some general experience and aren't extremely scared, start doing gens, etc.

  • Playing on PC and have no reason to look down on my fellow gamers that play on different platforms. Your attitude is an elitist one, crossplay is a great addition to the gaming industry to unite gamers to play the game together and it is good it is on by default.

So I'm forced to not play the game because I was forced into crossplay with pc. Crossplay with just the two consoles would be great. Infact It wouldn't surprise me if the vast majority of xbox and playstation users would avoid PC.

Crossplay was done for PC. If the devs cannot have a ban system that detects and stops these players then they shouldn't have done it. Once again while it isn't all pc players hackers exist. People cheating with mods exist. The numerous and debatable advantages exist. Until those are adjusted and fixed they should of held off the crossplay feature.

Btw if this topic wasnt so popular it wouldn't of earned it's way into surveys made by the developers. That indicates they are thinking about it and I hope it becomes a feature.

Let is follow your logic here; it was made for PC players, yet they should target removing them from the pool because you don't want to play with them! You claim that most console players would opt out yet it is impossible to play without PC players!

The numbers are made up, they are based on nothing but fictional fear mongering.

Once again showcase the disingenuous nature of your whole argument and the full discriminatory nature of your position. Crossplay is about inclusion of others and you just try to throw all PC players under the hacker category... as justification for an exclusivity feature addition. "You have no issues with PC gamers" is such a bogus flat out lie based on your whole request.

  • Where is your evidence? I smell made up numbers here

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Once again. I do not mind the small advantages. I do not want to verse hackers and that a completely justified response. Why should I be forced into longer queues and limitations because hackers are free to do whatever?

If so many people would avoid pc there must be a reason. Mine is hackers and cheaters (cheaters be the ones using mods etc.)

Gamers dont cheat. I have no issues with any platform except when they ruin games like how hackers are plaguing dbd.

Most people don't want to face hackers, including those on PC the fact you make it out that all PC players must be avoided to avoid a very small portion of people that hack on PC is not justified. Either accept the PC community or opt out, if your queue times are unbearable if you do... apparently not enough of your own platform community agrees with you.

I am not a hacker or cheat, yet you are telling me that I am not welcome to play with you! That is the reality, sorry but that is not what crossplay is about! Make your choice, opt out or embrace every gamer that wants to play the game

  • PC players are not by definition hackers, if you want to generalize like that just turn the crossplay off! Crossplay is for gamers that look beyond the hardware someone uses and sees a person instead of the console vs PC elitism, such egotistic discriminatory behavior due to the hardware someone uses is not what it is about!

  • Do 5 totems as a team and you will never encounter it again or do 1 totem after it activates... but if you want to remove it I would gladly exchange it for your exhaustion perks? Fair deal?

  • The entity and emblem system reward those that engage in the full scale of the game, this goes for killers and survivors. If you don't engage with the killer it isn't them denying you points it is you rushing to escape. Both sides are reliant on the other to make progress and action. Additionally you can do totems to gain additional points and all that jazz if you refuse to engage with a killer.

Your argument is if the killer is bad then it is harder to engage with them for points? No if they are bad it is easier, just take the time and do it! Give them a free hit, run them and once they give up go heal and repeat... It are killers that are reliant on survivors more, if they are really good at what they do... there is nothing you can do to get more hooks, hits, etc. If you want to use the other party to maximize your own ability to pip and gain bloodpoints it really is significantly easier if they aren't good, goes both ways!

  • Do the gens, do a couple of totems and escape?

I'm not saying I believe it, just relaying the devs response last time they actually gave one to this question. If the guts to do it are already there, then why hasn't it been implemented yet? Must be reasons.

I still think it won't happen, not even on the newer gen consoles.

When did they provide that answer, as consoles have been releasing support in the last what 2 years.

Why they don't do it? Priorities, not wanting to create divisions between the platform to keep opt out more equal or because not enough people would use it even if it was an option or they simply don't deem it necessary.

Pulsar is not selfish at all for saying that he doesn’t want to play against PC players when cross play is enabled, only against similar consoles such as PS4 (and to my knowledge he plays on an Xbox One). What is so selfish about being able to play with your friends on separate consoles but not put yourself at an inherent disadvantage by playing against players with 100 more FPS and minimal stutter/lag?

Theres nothing “elitist” about this at all. People just want to have fun with what they’re given, not be at a disadvantage by not being able to afford a $2000 PC.

Console has always been treated as the little brother in this community, and always will be.

Opt out then, you are selfish because you want to pick and choose who you play with. Not everyone has a 2k machine, you act like every human that owns a PC has a top of the line machine. I bet you and Pulsar have a PC use that if it so apparant.

It is always funny, consoles are some what equal you say... new gen doubles the FPS. All PCs are monsters that run at 100 FPS because you know Laptops, low end devices etc. Are not a thing yet you want to exclude them as well.

You have an option if you don't want to play in the spirit of crossplay! Opt out and play with identical machines as your own. There is no need to negatively impact others because you want to tell them they are not welcome in your game, selfish!
