It's always been that way the same way "Killers were always supposed to look down after a hit" was a thing.
It's a bug and BHVR is lying again.
-
It's about making money. It literally cannot be fomo because it would always be available. Sure it takes time to get to P100 but there's no permanently missing out on it.
Saying it's fomo is disingenuous at best and an outright lie at worst.

yeah, was the same for the PTB and probably due to Unreal Engine Upgrade.
Well, I should have known and still only realized when in match.
At least they fixed the obvious bugs with it now (trying to rebind took mouse movement as input on PTB)
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3706107#Comment_3706107
isn’t that expected? The binding is for the specific actions after all and survivors and killers have different actions..
It is, but if you haven't changed bindings in a while it's easy to forget about. Especially if you're trying to do it in a hurry mid match.
-
@Rick1998 said:
the worst is that i'm unable to make input bind changes . When i press m4 or m5 it just doesn't go through anynore . This update may have killed the game for me until it gets fixed .
Remember that survivor and killer bindings are separated, so putting m4 or m5 into the survivor bindings won't reflect into the killer ones. Ran into that one mid-match.

######### no.
-
I just had a killer game where I was rubberbanding all over the place.
-
Absolutely love that Sable and Unknown both got shafted in the rift. Sable gets a shop outfit and Unknown gets nothing at all. Meanwhile Nea gets two deep rifts in a row and Mikaela is in basically every single rift. I was looking forward to getting something cute for my new main in this, but no, gotta keep the Mikaela simps happy.
Pretty good job.
-
Blight, Billy, and Knight are the three killers I will strongly consider just going next against. They are always miserable. Blight always runs the strongest add-ons, Billy always runs lo-pro, and Knight always does the tired guard strat that makes it impossible to do anything. I'll take a Skull Merchant over those three any day.

what about it used to be see through for auras for almost 6 years then suddenly out of nowhere it got changed without even letting people know resulting in people thinking it was a bug?
Just another example of them lying to our faces.

This is a good suggestion.

Pretty much every cosmetic with a backpack ruins the cosmetic. This one included. Please let us remove them.

We removed the noose from the Dead Dawg offering,but we make descriptions like this? Kinda irky,would love some response.
Given that Nea has the Balanced Landing perk and the flavor text is that she's jumped from higher places, I think she's just thrillseeking. This doesn't read to me as an explicit suicide or other nasty stuff reference like the noose did.

what is your reasoning? Genuinely curious!
Honestly he's up there with Nurse where if I'm against one that's any good the game feels like it's over before it's even begun. They tend to bring the strongest add-ons (and blight has really strong ones) they know how to tech every single loop, it just feels hopeless. I'm not the greatest survivor but most other killers I feel like I can at least have a chance against.

To be fair, I don’t do this often… but 90% of the teams I go against bring the strongest builds + bt in a bottle, needles, BNP etc… so what’s the difference?
I play exclusively solo queue, hardly ever bring items and when I do it's not with those add-ons, and tend to go for builds that are more gimmicky or fun. I don't like playing sweaty on either side but Blight is a killer that if I'm not playing at 110% I don't even have a hint of a chance against him and I'm not about that.

Saying that should be a crime. xD
I stand by it. Blight is so horrendously unfun to play against.
-
@GeneralV said:
He is definitely in my Top 5 worst killers to go against.
Agreed. I would actually rather go against a Skull Merchant than a Blight.

I love that you have info perk bond and anti tunnel perk OTR. Windows im not a fan of so ill rate your build 8/10 Your build has a lot of everything so its good, but it depends a lot on the teamwork and we all know soloQ lacks exactly that :D.
My build. Kindred, Botany Knowledge, Strenght in Shadows and lithe. I have faster heals for the group and if im healing myself. I only use the basement heal when absolutely safe and needed. I quite often stay injured and do gens not to waste time self caring. I'm quite often using medkits to heal others even faster, never use it on myself due to botany.
My escape rate.. 40-50 maybe. On good days 60.
Pretty solid, and very good escape rate.
Strength in Shadows, Wicked, Reassurance, We'll Make It
Probably a 20-30% escape rate, I prioritise getting the rest of the team out over me.
-
Change SM to Knight and this is my list.
-
I use anon mode because if I don't people will leave hateful messages on my steam profile or find me in other places based on my username. Not having that happen again.

How do you know the zone? I see the blood rings but the seem to be all over the place it's hard to work out where it starts and stops. Well to my eyes anyway.
Yeah it's the blood rings. There's a 'blood moon boosted!' score event and if you look carefully you can see the ring edges. I do agree that it's really difficult to differentiate since all the red really starts to look samey.

@Xernoton said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3680192#Comment_3680192
Yeah, I think that's how it works. You can also retrieve blood droplets from active basins and by hitting a survivor with a M1 or stunning the killer. As for how far these effects reach, it says that you benefit from them "anywhere in the trial grounds". So that should mean it's global.
If you're the one to create the blood zone you get a temporary bonus wherever you are. Once that wears off you have to be in the zone to benefit from it. Regardless of who set it up everyone in the zone gets to benefit, so if you as a survivor set one up the killer will benefit too if they get into it.

@Nick said:
200% is the max reward. Even though anniversary events gave 500% and you got cakes for the whole year
It's just a bloodhunt that we have to unlock as a community. Absolutely pathetic and BHVR lied to us about BP gains.
-
@HexHuntressThighs said:
Everyone needs to relax for real, they said the bonuses will increase as the event goes on. We’re only 3 hours into the first day☠️
They go up to 200% at max, which is just a bloodhunt. Anniversary events are still far more lucrative.
-
The 200% bonus that we're all working toward is just a bloodhunt. This event is trash.
-
It's basically a bloodhunt with a very meh event wrapped around it. BHVR lied to us when saying it would be the best source of bp ever.
-
@LSDoneal said:
Love "earning" so much BP that eve bp offerings are disabled. even 200% added from the event is nowhere near tons of BP.
200% is just a bloodhunt. The thing that happens every now and again already. How is this in any way meant to be the most BP gained ever?
-
@averagemikaelamain said:

Yes it was,but I guess BHVR just plainly lied to us.
They sure did. I don't know why I'm surprised at this point.
-
Wasn't this event supposed to be the best source of BP yet? Why is it so mediocre instead?
-
@IHasDan said:
Yeah this event sucks even with the 200% bloodpoints. It was meant to be the best event for bloodpoints according to the devs.
I would appreciate it if the devs would explain where they pulled that from, because it's definitely not true.
-
This event is garbage. The devstream promised more BP than ever before, which is a complete lie. Why even bother playing it if they're just going to make stuff up.
-
@Leidenschaft90 said:
It seems that the new event offering cancels all other BP offerings. And in the devstream they literally said no other event will guarantee you the amount of BP as the Blood Moon Event does xD.
The bonus caps out at 2X. The devstream was lying to our faces.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
So they said this event is all about BPs and more than ever. Does everyone feel like they are getting more during this event?
The bonus caps out at 2X which is pathetic.
-
Wesker is a very close second for me. I'm so sick of playing against him.
-
I still don't get the SM hate these days. She's nowhere near as the bad as pre-rework version and I've had some enjoyable matches on both sides. I'd much rather face her than nurse, blight, or billy.
-
@SpaghettiVase said:
This is most likely s Source engine specific issue, RCE and Source have had a long history together.
Yeah, I would be extremely surprised if this wasn't a Source issue.
-
Blight. Incredibly unenjoyable to play against.
-
Nerf them both into the ground. Nurse isn't even playing the same game and Blight is just ridiculous.
-
Killer is incredibly stressful. So many things to keep track of, bully squads to try to deal with, constant toxic messages no matter how you play... survivor is downright relaxing in comparison.
-
@AbsolutGrndZer0 said:
Removal of pallets that you could have used to stun the killer is it's own penalty. Pre-drop the shack pallet at 5 gens and see how quickly your fellow survivors chew you out in the end-game chat.
I love doing that (and then resetting it with Any Means) just to see reactions.
-
Dissolution tells the survivors that you're running it which kinda defeats the entire purpose. Brutal is good, but could be better.

Might as well cut out the middle man and just bring no mither lol.
Bring No Mither and a BNP and you basically get the same thing with zero downside
-
Imagine starting the ritual, getting interrupted a bunch, eventually finishing, and nothing happens because grim embrace went off.
This is your worst design decision yet, devs. That's impressive.

Not that I think Spiders wouldn't still be the worst perk ever released even if blocked gens weren't exempt from its effect, but its effect does not "progress" gens, it doesn't add any charges to them, it reduces the amount of charges required to complete them. It is entirely without precedent that gens beng blocked would interfere with this in any way.
Yeah this is a good point. Removing max charges is not regression or progression. The answer given is nonsensical.
-
@Mandy said:
If a Gen is blocked it cannot be progressed or regressed - so yes, this is not a bug but by design of the perk.
You're kidding, right? 2 minutes + perma broken and it can be negated entirely? Congratulations on the new worst perk in the game.
-
Good to hear BHVR is doing their part. I wouldn't mind the skins being linked to prevent community shittiness but we'll see.
-
@tjt85 said:
I'm sure we'll get a Legion buff one day. I mean, BHVR are buffing every other Killer in the game. Even The Huntress and she didn't need any buffs.
We'll just need to wait until after The Twins rework.
Maybe...
(And to be fair, they were probably at their worst during the MFT days).
This just makes it extra amusing that MfT basically hard counters Legion now.

I can definitely see them doing a "Best Friends" collection of sorts with them. Kind of like how they do cosplay outfits with Feng.
Sable would rock the heck out of Mikaela's hat. That's a fact.
