  • Bamboozle, because there's no reason why a killer should be able to shut down mindgamable windows (Not talking about god windows obviously). It's a "crutch" for killers who can't run basic loops like T-L walls and jungle gyms.

Balanced Landing, unless the devs decide to balance out maps quicker. BL creates problematic loops where it's nearly impossible to catch someone, mainly Haddonfun houses and Grim Pantry.

  • Huntress: There might be bad maps for her but she's still very fun to play. Throwing and hitting hatchets is probably the most rewarding feeling. The longer the distance, the more satisfaction.

Ghostface: It's fun being sneaky and moving around like a ghost in the night. I personally run Nurse's since you won't always be able to get the exposed off. By the time they find out you're there it's too late.

  • I'm fine with map rng, I'm okay with map offerings to be removed though. People use map offerings mainly to give the other side a frustrating or unfun time.

Such as survivors with Balanced Landing burning Haddonfun. Or killers who burn Jigsaw Pieces.

I do think that they should alter the map rng a little though. There's no reason I should be getting Pale Rose 3 in 4 games when there's like 30 something different maps.

  • We have hopes for a non-crackhead Quentin. Let's hope they get Kyle's likeliness !

    Why dodging them?

Also killers can dodge survivors based on skins, names and items aswell. Is it unhealthy? No, not at all.

Personally if I see someone Urban Evading around the map I assume they do nothing to help the team. They'll usually hide and do nothing. I'm not saying all Urban Evasion gamers are like this but it's the majority of them.

I know that killers dodge for cosmetics, it's unjustified to me unless it's a Blendette.

Items depend on the person. The only thing I'd dodge is 4 toolboxes.

Names I don't really understand why.

  • I'm gonna be real honest, if that feature was added I would dodge my teammates if 2 or more had Urban Evasion. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be the only one either. That feature wouldn't be healthy at all for the game.

    Items are fine, not perks

  • It is definitely one of my favorite map aesthetically, but a lot of the pallets are extremely unsafe.

There's this one pallet in a corner where you'll be literally trapped if you throw it down. I'm okay with mindgamable pallets, but not ones that are a guaranteed death sentences.

  • Hopefully Haddonfield is reworked. It sucks for both sides unless if you have balanced landing as survivor. Then it's borderline unfair to the killer.

  • Don't cleanse, the safest thing you can do is stay infected and handle being one shot.

It's for your own good and your team. It's damned if you do, damned if you do. But more damned if you do.

One session of Corrupt Purge can mow down the entire team easily if they are all infected.

In my opinion, cleansing is a selfish action that can borderline sabotage your team if they are making the effort to not cleanse to deny Corruption and smash out gens.

  • People sending message like that to you are absolutely disgusting. No one should think it's okay to spew filth like that over a video game.

I love the Spirit to death, asthetic, power concept. I personally like playing her as she's on my roster with Huntress. I must confess I haven't been playing her as much as I use to mainly because I feel bad. Reason, almost everyone hates facing her.

I don't have any strong opinion about versing her, it's whatever. I'd still rather go against a Huntress or Billy. But I don't hate going against her like I do Trapper or Clown.

She just needs a few tweaks to make her a little less annoying to go against.

My main issue is the collision. It feels awful when you're trying to move around trying to trick her but she bumps into you completely ruining your "mindgame". To me it's a lot like juking a Nurse's blink but she ends up messing up the blink and you still get punished for it. I'd be fine if Spirit had no collision with survivors while phasing. It gives ballsy survivors the attempt to run through her to disorientate her sense of hearing.

I also wouldn't mind making the vaulting animation a little more noticeable.

I'm not really sure what else could be done to be honest. If you mess with too much of her base kit you risk gutting her.

Also, Father Glasses and Prayer Beads need a different ability. Both remove ways to counterplay the Spirit. Whenever it's not hearing her phase emission always being at risk being grabbed without even knowing her location or hiding your scratch marks, but her being able to see your blood with no way to hide or trick her.

  • There's no mindgaming on this map because all the safe pallets and lack of windows, I'll happily take a few more windows while removing some unmindgamable safe pallets.

  • I'd be alright with anything that doesn't kill my hand or my keyboard.

  • Survivor vs. Survivor is already a thing. It's called solo queue.

  • We got some priorities here. : D

  • It isn't as much as not being confident with dodging hatchets, it's the face that a killer that can shut down a survivors perks like that. The Berus Snake is enough. The Venomous Concoction is just absolute overkill with new exhaustion rules.

  • I'm okay with everything but the Base Kit exhaustion hatchets. A killer shouldn't have the ability to exhaust survivors in their base kit.

  • Brenda Meeks and Ellen Ripley!

  • Some time on a Wednesday before mid-chapter. I hope Feng's outfit gets released soon tho. Same with Pig's and Huntress'.

If they fix the maps than they definitely need to get rid of bloodlust as well.

And I get your point. I'm sure though that it's possible to create aesthetically pleasing maps and still not make them to huge.

They just need to stop relying on putting a lot of clutter in the maps and make them normal sized. Perhaps making pallets and lockers look different for each realm. Shoot, even make killer shack look different but don't change how shack is played by both sides.

I'm all right with adding different foilage as long as it doesn't make it impossible to find a Blendette. But adding different junk that negatively affects gameplay for both sides isn't a good way to add aesthetic.

Making any change to the reward structure is a mistake imo. If you punish SWF you are saying it is a bad thing to play with your friends; which it's not. If you reward killers for going against survivors you are saying "oh sorry you are outmatched this game, here take some extra points."

SWF groups clearly have an advantage over the killer. So like I said in my previous post: The info solo survivors have needs to be buffed, then killers can be buffed to balance it all out.

I see what you mean. But yes, solo survivor and killers need to be balanced to the level of SWF.

  • Punishing people for playing with friends is not the answer. Rewarding the killer for playing with a SWF gang and making solo queuing less irritating is the way to go.

maps in general are just badly designed. I'll never understand why the devs keep pushing out huge maps that makes gen pressure almost impossible. It's crazy that they just don't improve in that area.

Let's hope the upcoming map reworks will help this problem.

They push them out probably because they want aesthetically pleasing map design, but the aesthetic parts of the map end up making the map unfun and unbalanced to play on; along with size of the past 3 maps.

It takes awhile for Bhvr to learn from these sort of things. They are learning somewhat with the map reworks that are happening. However, like a lot of people like myself fear about bloodlust being unnecessary on the reworked maps.

  • @Raptorrotas said:

Dont forget that huntress also suffers from the bad collision boxes of most objects.

When theres an invisible box above every debris just so survivors cant jump on them but it hurts huntress even more.

I remember Autohaven trucks being broke for the longest time before they fixed them. That was a bad time.

I remember a lot of the boxes on Swamp with higher collision boxes than the box itself and the invisible walls on the corners of the Ormond lodge that have yet to be fixed. Sad times.

  • It's bad, but it is not as bad as Christmas 2016. When survivors and killers can stack the same perks or equip the opposing sides perks. Myers with a Chainsaw.

  • @alphonsk said:

It's just not fun to play Huntress anymore nowadays. It's not worth, to many maps are huge and have so many objects you can't throw over.

I still think she is fun for the most part, but like I said, every patch with a new map or new map changes nerf her indirectly, which make more annoying to play. Just another vicious cycle of this game.

  • @PoisonN said:

Haddonfield is by far the worst map for Huntress, then Spirit, Legion and Freddy's maps

Even Shelter Woods is becoming annoying to play with her, this scenario has so many trees after the update (I know, Ghostface lol) but It's kinda hard to do some good shots

You might as well DC on Haddonfield when playing most killers. Trapper probably has more potential on it than others. But the fact that they changed some maps for the sake of a new killer and not considering how other killers will perform is really annoying.

  • I'm thinking... I know that the devs probably won't do it but what if they slowly start disabling Bloodlust on reworked maps?

  • @Jdsgames said:

Would be a higher rank but queue times are horrid. Although, I can say even without 'sniping' she still has plenty of potential. The main thing that kills are are sections where the loops are a certain length where bloodlust and following are nil. Essentially an infinite for lower than 115% killers. Which due to poor LOS detection there are many on a few of the coldwind maps and autohaven at times. However, this is again perkless and don't comment on the dc they pulled the ripcord once they couldn't complete a gen in front of me and got grabbed. Although, Yamoka Estate is by far the worst map to play as Huntress.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/279/GY7F2Q0F38LT.png

A lot of parts of certain maps are infinites for 110 killers. It's best to ignore those parts because you would be chasing for nothing. I know that she has more potential without sniping, but it's something that makes her really fun to play.

  • @miaasma said:

map design is sort of a universal problem right now, huntress is just disproportionately affected by it. BHVR seems to want to fill their maps with more "stuff" to increase their aesthetic value but this unfortunately undermines huntress's ability to do well on these maps (and hampers other killers too)

Yeah, it's really frustrating. What do you think about the new map (Loop Money) changes occuring? I personally see an issue with Bloodlust with the new changes.

  • @AetherBytes said:

I have a sought of photo-negative version of this problem, where I keep getting Mother's Dwelling as anything but huntress, and with the gens so spread out its hard to patrol effectively.

That's what I'm saying! I go on survivor and get Autohaven, MacMillan, and Coldwind. But when I decide to play killer in general I get Swamp and worse.

  • I keep seeing people say you can use grass/corn to track a Spirit phase walking. THIS IS FALSE.

Here's some proof for the argument. You can look at the video in the post and the discussion itself.

I've played against Spirit enough to know that grass and corn does not move in her phasing. People are spreading misinformation about this subject.

  • The best thing you can probably do is listen for her footsteps. The Prayer Beads is a ridiculous add-on that needs some type of downside.

Also, you can't see grass moving while she is phasing. Only thing that you can see is disturbed crows and hearing her footsteps.

Spine Chill and Iron Will are good against Spirit, but you shouldn't run perks just in case you run into a killer you don't like. There's better perks you could be running that will help you against any killer.

  • I've noticed it happen a more than normal since the patch. I'd be basically off the pallet and still get hit. It's not a ping thing either, I'm sure about that.

  • What would be nice is vault speed to be slightly buffed. Maybe make durations a little longer base kit? Make missing a Frenzy attack take him out of it, but give him half the bar full.

Make mending be seen throught Nurse's Calling.

Rework a lot of his add-ons; mainly the pins and Frank's Mixtape. Give Frank's a different ability other than draining the Wound Timer. Make pins apply the effect on the initial Frenzy Hit.

We don't want anything that makes him cheese again so draining the Wound timer passively in the Terror Radius or through add-ons is out of the question.

I think making requirements mid match would be better.

Maybe having to hook each survivor once and then you can kill them, and maybe making it so instas come with a small progress bar so you can't drive by heal before the killer can pick up.

That sounds like a very solid change. The Insta change will give more risk to using them. The Mori change will stop the tunnel/mori thing and not immediately remove a survivor from the game. Hopefully the devs see this and consider it.

Nah. moris were more akin to the old BNPs, they never touched moris when they nerfed BNPs. They could certainly patch them seperately if they needed too.

I forgot bnps were a thing. But thinking back at it, I agree it is possible to do the reworks seperately.

  • This map is an abomination of bad map design. Survivors forced to run in straight lines because of long fences. Killers having to deal with borderline house infinites and infinites in general. Not fun for anyone. Guaranteed DC unless there's bp offerings when I play killer.

  • I really want the Cenobites. Pepehands

  • If they were to change these two mechanics, they would need to do both of them in one patch. If only one was changed it would cause an outrage from the recieving side.

Kind of like the issue with the Exhaustion changes last year. A mechanic got changed, however the things that affect the mechanic (Killer add-ons) weren't changed to balance it.

  • They could've at least done something with the blade alongside the handle if you ask me.

  • Shack isn't an infinite though? I can send you a very educational video on how to run basic tiles as killer.

  • Most the time when I burn bps the killer goes full sweat mode. The only time I'd burn my bps is if I was in a squad and if I knew I'd get use out of the offering.

  • I feel like they should give multi-stalk back for him.

Fix stalking in tall plants such as corn or bamboo on the farm maps and Yamaoka Estate.

Maybe increase the amount of evil you can get from stalking survivors until they're sucked dry?

One thing that I've thought of is that Ghostface has a Killer Instinct effect after getting revealed. What if Myers got Killer Instinct for awhile after Evil Within 3 ends?

Myers is a decent killer, but I agree that he can be a little better with changes.

  • I really enjoy playing as her, but I can agree that she can be irritating to face for a lot of people. The only thing that I can't stand while facing her is her being able to collide with survivors while she's phasing. It feels really cheap. Other than that I don't mind facing her.

  • Feng's "I'm 5 and I cut my own bangs" Ponytail.

  • Ummm... Do you really want a killer that's basically a base kit Prayer Beads Spirit? The teleport is intended to get a survivor off of it and start chasing (or just channel it to scare them off). Not to get free grabs.

  • P L E A S E

  • I don't feel like the powers should be add-ons, but rather a different variation of the power. Like you can click on the power in the ui to pick what power type you should get. Kind of like how MKX and MK11 have variations for characters. If we get all 3 of the powers on one base kit that would be great.
