I wouldn't be against giving shrouds another purpose. Like you said survivors will most likely spawn in the close proximity of each other.
But the real question is what could they do instead of tampering with survivor spawns?
-
Anything I can get my hands on. Mainly some type of chips or candy, something I can easily grab for while healing or doing a gen. That way I can quickly move my hand to my spacebar when I need to.
Sometimes I'll just eat my lunch or dinner while I'm hooked or sitting in a lobby.
-
Bamboozle: Just shut down an easily mindgamable loop without thinking. 4Head
Sprint Burst: Just walk around, cucking survivor map pressure. Then when you're about to get punished by being found just click shift and sprint to a loop or to hump the Rancid Abattoir window. 4Head
-
I use it on most killers and try to get as many downs and hooks as I can before it runs out.
Mainly Huntress and Demo. I don't use slowdown on new Doctor.
Huntress can use it to tighten the playing field on large maps.
Demo can place portals near the 4 remaining gens and prepare to pressure mid game while looking for other survivors at those gens.
-
I really like the top. The pants don't go well with anything.
They go with the leather jacket nicely and the top it came with.
The hair is cute, but the... face... no...
It seems like bhvr saw a blow up doll and took inspiration from it for the face.
If she had goth-like makeup instead of the plastic Barbie makeup I'd like it a lot more.
-
I tried to run as Pig by pressing shift (It's a reflex).
However my secondary ability key is bindined to Shift.
Ended up crouching instead.
Done the same with Hag as well with the teleport.
-
I personally think Shadowborn fov should be base fov for killer.
The reworked version you proposed would be a rather interesting tracking perk and fits well with Wraith's teachable perks as being a tracker.
It has potential to change the meta slightly for killers like Billy and Nurse, since you have better vision on them within a long range.
Also, goodbye... well actually... Hello Blendettes : )
-
- Immediately see survivors saving Sprint Burst and Urban Evading
- See the killer is Clown : (
- When the map is Hawkins, The Game, Yamaoka, or Shelter Woods.
- Everyone is on a separate gen on one side of the map and not spreading out.
- When I hear humming and the survivor gets insta downed.
- When I see a Plague fountain as solo queue.
That's just a few : )
-
Like was said before, Huntress benefits from being able to throw over debris and loops. Most killers benefit from being able to break line of sight with the survivor to hide their stain.
Map size is a major issue for both sides, but hurts Huntress definitely since it takes her basically half a gen to be able to traverse to one side of the map. That's why some Huntress players want 115 movement speed on her.
If they downsized maps and had a good mix of loops that can be thrown over and and high walls like jungle gyms that can be red stain mindgamed, Huntress and other killers wouldn't be so map dependent.
-
That would be something interesting, I'd have to test it myself, but the concept sounds pretty cool. I've always had a soft spot for lock picking systems in Bethedsa games and Dying Light.
That mechanic would be a cool thing to see on DbD's hatch and maybe chests.
It would be a lot more interactive than holding M1
-
I ate cigarette ashes and candle wax as a child... I was bored okay?
I have almost 3k hours in DbD
I'm 18 and graduating high school in the summer.
I don't usually go to sleep til 2 am. Mainly because I pass out right when I get home from school.
I'm a gay dude.
-
Since Hex: Ruin is reworked, will we be seeing a change in Toolboxes and/or the survivors' objective itself in the near future?
-
Huntress can be very amazing on a good map for her. On a bad map she can still be dangerous, but she can't play up to her full potential.
In a way every large, debris filled map that made such as Yamaoka or Ormond is an indirect nerf to her as a whole since there's an insane amount of line of sight breakers, high debris, or loops that can't be thrown over.
-
I'm hoping the Coldwind is next since it's part of a bigger map pool. Haddonfield can sit for a bit now that BL is nerfed.
Coldwind is notorious for strong building windows and loops chaining together. And because it's part of a realm with multiple maps we see these maps far more often than say Haddonfield or the Game.
-
- Farming
- Crouch Walking around the map w/ Urban Evasion (DoING GenS, yOU?)
- Leaving me to die on hook to finish a gen 0% to 100%
- Pallet Camping, creating deadzones when it's time for me to be chased
- Rushing hook, making the killer want to stay around
- Getting in my way while I'm getting chased.
- Wasting time looking for a well hidden Ruin and not pushing through it.
-
This idea really gets me thinking. Survivors would have to reserve god windows for emergencies and it would punish window humpers big time, but then it punishes the other teammates if someone uses them inefficiently like shack pallet.
This would make god windows have more of a skillcap to them by chaining them with structures while trying to reserve the window usage.
I'd like to see this idea put in a PTB in the future!
-
Ghostface's stun: HHHHHH
When you hit the carcass on cow tree.
When you hit a hatchet snipe and it makes the squish noise
-
This is so wholesome <3 Have a good Christmas.
-
I gotta say Dwight. Junk food, video games, and cuddles are all I need.
-
Definitely toolboxes are worse. Flashlights have many forms of counterplay (Looking at walls, baiting out saviors) Technically a built in slowdown perk if they're constantly waiting around chased survivors and not doing gens.
There's not much you can do about toolboxes. Gens will get cracked down and will most likely force you to play a lot more sweaty due to the time crunch before gates get powered. .

Yeah and facecamping to block the unhook prompt was a good mindgame that skilled killers used to do some impressive last minute sacrifices.
I can't say that facecamping is a fair comparison for the survivor hook trick.
Facecamping back in the day made it practically impossible for the person to be saved and was a guaranteed death. Unless the saviors magically lost collision with the killer to unhook.
The hook trick still has counter play from the killer's side. They could look at the survivor's moving patterns and be able to hit or even grab them.
Many survivors will still go for the save and trade places with the hooked survivor.
-
Wait, again? This has to be a bug. I don't see why they would fix a bug to only remove the fix right after the patch.
It's a good mind game that skilled survivors used to do some impressive last minute saves.
-
I would be down with it, if it's actually a fun and balanced indoor map. Unlike Lery's, The Game, Hawkins, y'know, all the current indoor maps.
-
These proposed changes are amazing to me personally. These would make Legion feel less frustrating and punishing to play as for many players. The faster speed would make it easier to block pallets and windows to prevent survivors from using them and the cooldown makes is easier to react more efficiently.
The Deep Wound change would be interesting. Now that survivors bleed out when not running along with the change where they can't do things such as repair and heal they would be forced to mend. While I don't think it should be considered healing and affected by healing perks or action speed reduction perks, it would be cool if it was affected by Nurse's.
These addons are very interesting. I would see Cold Dirt paired with things like M&A to do stealth Legion.
I'd be happy if these changes would be added for them.
-
The perk's passive stagger reduction made it to where players can create unfair loops and infinites. It made maps like Haddonfield, Temple, and Ormond (Still nasty) awful to play on for the majority of the killers.
-
The only killer that I feel absolutely miserable to face is Clown. To me, Spirit is nothing compared to him. (Iron Will gamers unite)
Intoxication effect gives me headaches and gets me light headed from the blurriness and makes me strain my eyes trying to see irl .
Not only that I hate his exhaustion add-on, it's way too easy to exhaust someone with the way his power is designed.
So yeah, make the digital character feel sick, not the actual player.
-
According to the release notes they found a way to detect who earned the event items so they should be giving them back to people who lost them some time soon(tm).
-
David's got a rockin bod, but his face reminds me of the twins from Outlast.
Adam and Dwight are my survivor picks.
Killer picks are Trapper and Shirtless Legion.
-
I think he's okay personally. He's a little annoying to me because of snare spam but it's not that bad to deal with to me.
His main issue is how disgustingly well he can synergize with slowdown perks with Swing Chains and Ropes (Forever Freddy). That would be the only thing that I would change to him.
-
Ultra Rare Perks and recovering exhaustion while running. : (
-
I personally run BBQ, Ruin, and Nurse's. You should probably run Whispers but I run Shadowborn for the extra fov. Don't do Shadowborn kids.
-
Most my experiences with Steves haven't been really good. Most of them are really annoying to go against because there's a trend in my games where Steves just hump very strong buildings and windows.
I don't dodge them by any means because it's the player, not the character itself. Much like how people think all Nea players like myself are evil. I'm a wholesome Head On memer. :(
-
I don't really mind when streamers are in my lobby. They're players just like us.
I just play the game like I normally do and maybe meme around a little bit as well.
Sometimes I'll burn party streamers because y'know, haha streamers ha ha puns.
-
- Tried to vault a freshly Bamboozled window.
- Dead Harded a hatchet and made it hit another survivor.
- Tried to take a hit because I thought I had DS, turns out I switched it out the last game.
-
This is by far one of my favorite killers right now, but I feel like he's a little too strong in some aspects.
The flick he can do when swinging his Demon Strike is a little nuts.
I'm not saying it should be completely removed, but it needs toned down a bit.
He should have some form of cooldown when coming out of the dash since he can just zoom around the map to insta down people with a longer than normal lunge.
However, he shouldn't lose his Blood Fury when he picks up or pulls someone out of a locker. .
Other than that I find him really fun to play as and it's an intense but fun experience to go against.
-
How cool would it be if parts of her body slowly appeared on the opposite side of the window as her vault? The new animation seems really boring, lazy, and doesn't fit with her ghostly aesthetic.
-
I usually run around the map to look for the killer so I know what I have to deal with. But I'm definitely on edge for most the game when it's Ghosty or Piggles that uses stealth.
-
Ghostface, because nothing's scarier then randomly becoming exposed and not knowing where he was stalking you from.
Trapper because grass, windows, and pallets are scary.
-
Hawkins has a similar issue that Haddonfield has.
Bring Balanced or you're screwed.
There's a lot of unsafe pallets on both of these maps, but the houses and catwalk rooms are way too strong with Balanced Landing.
-
There's not much you can do without Urban or a Flashlight. Either you can risk it all and run through every trap and hope you don't have to trade.
Crouch to not set off everything, but have all the traps up the stairs to deal with while escaping the basement.
If possible, you can try to coordinate a team play by having everyone running down the basement to unhook, then everyone can have a chance to escape by taking protection hits each other.
But the chances of that happening in a solo game is very unlikely.
-
Thanks for clarifying this dude. I was always confused when people say "look at her shards". I'd always be looking and never see them. Just the random hair twitch and animation resets that only happen sometimes.
Spirit needs some sort of real tell when in phase that isn't bugs. Nothing too obvious, but something that gives some kinda feedback where she is.
-
@Bongbingbing said:
Any changes to indicate her using her power will ruin her. If she can be easily countered like that then she becomes a slow movement speed killer with a power on charge that may or may not help in a chase.
Like I said, I don't want it to be extremely noticeable because like you said, it can ruin her. Being able to see grass and corn helps the survivor and the Spirit herself. The survivor can try to maneuver around her and the Spirit can see the grass moving.
Thank you for pointing out that too much indication will hurt her drastically.
-
There will probably be other changes to her that they didn't announce til PTB like they did Legion and Nurse. Hopefully not as devastating as Legion's changes though.
Honestly, I'd be fine if there was a small tell where she is, like her interacting with corn and grass.
She would still be very strong, but survivors can be rewarded for paying close attention to the environment and react.
-
Indoor maps are cool, but they're always so damn unbalanced.
Much rather have a basic outdoor map.

Not sure if BHVR needs to remove any addons.
Dunno why there needs to be a limit as to how many addons a killer can have.
I know that BHVR has some sort of addon philosophy where they want a specific amount of rarities like 2 Ultra Rares, 4 Very Rares, 5 Rare and Uncommon, and 4 Commons.
Amanda has that philosophy so I was thinking that we can replace the less useful addons with stronger ones.

I've had this idea too.
[Very Rare] Partially Filled Syringe
A syringe a quarter filled with a sedative, enough to put one favored victim asleep in preparation for the game.
- Match selects an obsession.
- Obsession begins the trial with an inactive reverse bear trap on their head.
[Ultra Rare] Filled Syringe
A syringe completely filled with a sedative, enough to put multiple victims asleep in preparation for the game.
- All survivors start the trial with inactive reverse bear traps on their head.
- Slightly increases the reverse bear trap death timer.
Those syringe addons would be pretty nice as well. They can be used to have some early game pressure.
I do agree that she needs more Ambush addons. I'd be happy if we removed some of the RBT status effect addons such as utility blades to have some Ambush enhancers of some sort.

I used to think making rule set 2 base kit was too OP, but, considering her huge nerf, I think it would definitely balance her out. Plus it would free up an addon slot and make things even more interesting.
It would be really neat, but what would Rule Set 2 do then? I was thinking that it would drastically change how to play Pig and it's like playing a different version of her.
Maybe something with the RBT being on the survivors at the start of the trial and their keys are attached to a certain survivor.
The survivors can't tell which survivor is attached to their trap.
After being hooked twice the Pig can mori the survivor in question and the attached survivor's trap becomes active and they have to search the corpse for the key.
The survivor has a shorter amount of time to get the trap off since they only have to search one thing.
There would have to be something to keep the Pig from staying on the corpse to insure the attached survivor dies as well thought.
This is just a spitball idea that I came up with off the bat.
-
I'd love to keep this in the game. :D
-
The Rancid Abattoir has a true infinite on it for 110% killers and even maybe 115% killers. It's tremendously way worse than the Cowshed.
A lot of the Coldwind maps' buildings need some sort of nerf. Mainly the Silo, Cowshed, and Slaughterhouse buildings.
The copious amounts of intertwining jungle gyms to other jungle gyms and loops need to be addressed as well.
-
Yo that would be pretty neat if it was a pig squeal instead that roar.
Amanda's stealth ability received a really nice buff with the Undetectable status. It was a good buff after a few indirect nerfs to make all killers consistent.
I know that Rules Set 2 is requested to be base kit ever since she was released, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.
I'm guessing BHVR wants to do something more abstract rather than making an addon base kit.
I proposed the change with the five box scenario that Rules Set 2 was not going to be changed at all.
