Honestly I just want Dead Hard to not have invincibility. Dead Harding over a Trapper's trap or through a killer's swing just dumb.
The whole concept of dead hard was to avoid damage. If that dead hard I frames were removed the perk would be useless.

Maps now are either dead-zone haven, or pallet city.

Two of them are paid DLC, and Nurse needs multiple hours of practice. U don't want this game become pay to win.
Nurse doesn't take that long to get good at and shes fairly easy to play. If anything, blight takes more hours.

PSA: High MMR Survivor is Very Easy
I just want to take a moment to say that SBMM has turned the Survivor role into a joke for experienced players. I have stopped running perks entirely (solo queue survivor), and find myself escaping roughly 70% of my matches with ease. If I run a perk at all, it is Borrowed Time to help give my teammates a fighting chance against the camping killers.
The above screenshot where I played killer was a public match against a 4-man SWF of Competitive DBD players. Can confirm with 100% certainty that they are comp players, as I'm friends on Steam with the Gold III Survivor.
If you are a veteran DBD player, and are playing in a SWF, PLEASE refrain from running four meta perks.
It is overkill. It is monotonous & boring. And it is hardly impressive if all four of you escape.
---
As far as I can see, SBMM has made it ever more apparent that survivor is the power role in Dead by Daylight. I hope the numbers BHVR is seeing across the board say the same, and that balancing changes are not too far around the corner.
Yes, it may be overkill to you. But this is what high MMR loadouts are gonna be like. (excluding the use of the same map offering) The only thing I can tell you is run meta perks and git gud.

Billy
I used to main him and got a plentiful amount of 4-3ks with him. Ever since they butchered the most balanced and fun killer to play as and against I never touched him again.

The upsides outweigh the downsides. Overall a bad perk and rewards the killer for literally no reason.

Most maps will have obstacles and high wall loops to take advantage of. Dead Dawg and Rotten Fields as well as a few other maps are probably the only exceptions in this case (DDS still has high wall loops, just not as much as the others).
The majority of maps have loops that have short walls and they spawn quite often as well.

That isn't remotely what happened with Blight's release.
He was hot garbage in the PTB because of his collision. He couldn't get through any doorways and bounced off of everything unintentionally, but when you wanted to hit something head-on, he would slide off.
His camera was extremely low and made it difficult to see over any loops.
He couldn't break pallets or walls.
He had a double cooldown.
His dash attack with almost 3 m/s slower.
He had a lower turn rate during his Rush.
His dash attacks didn't continue if the input button was released.
Some of his add-ons were worse and Compound 21 was a must run.
He was basically useless on Console for EIGHT MONTHS.
Those were just the things I remembered off of the top of my head. People had plenty of reason to be suspect of him, he was NOT the same Killer he is now.
Blight is still useless on console. The sudden lag spikes and the turning rate make him unbearable.
-
Remove stretched res and the forum will be filled with comp kids complaining about it for a month.

Thats what happens when survivor mmr is based on escapes

Note
- this is about their appearance not about the gameplay of survivors
- I don’t care about this stuff in movies and tv shows but in video games where everyone is just a cosmetic imo it matters a bit more since its meant to include everyone from everywhere
- its only about original survivors because that is what BHVR can control
TLDR: BHVR has been lacking when it comes to the differentially of the survivors (and cosmetics) instead just making them feel repetitive and stale
Time
All survivors are modern-day and would like some from other time periods like the 70s, 80s, and 90s especially since those are times where slashers where popular and It would help create differentiate the characters with trends from those time periods and it would match the licences that are from that time as well. like why is Laurie the only survivor from the 70s
Gender
We barely get any survivors that are male it's been 1 year since Felix, 2 years since Adam and Jeff, and it’s going to stay like this. BHVR knows that females are more popular and will bring in more money than a male but in the process makes females staler and staler. I don’t see anyone use Zarina, or even Yun-jin is kind of rare to see. It feels like BHVR is just throwing females at a wall to see who sticks to just pumps out cosmetics for them (Nea, Kate, Feng, Elodie). I wont be surprised if the new survivor is going to be a female. It’s at the point I’m so bored to see what the new survivor looks like because ik it’s just going to be some “Fashionista” or “Queen” that has terrible cosmetics that will probably be a set so Good luck making a good outfit.
Race
This problem is not as bad with with females but is terrible with males like it has been 3 years since Adam (Black/Jamaican) 5 Years since Jake (Asian/Korean), And a Latino or a Middle Eastern character is still not in the game
Orientation
All I’m going to say is how does Rainbow 6 siege have 2 LGBT characters but this game where they said they would add one a year ago still doesn’t. What is so hard to say “His boyfriend” or something like that in tome lore or backstory. This issue wouldn't be as bad if they didn't promise it back when the silent hill chapter came out its been a year and some and nothing came out of it except them saying they are still researching the topic. Whatever that means
Cosmetics
- They have 18 original survivors and only 4 get cosmetics on repeat. we could live with an update without a Nea outfit
- Males (After Kate) don’t have Uncommon Head Pieces but females do. What’s so hard with changing the color of hair and selling them.
- Survivors need a mix of cosmetics jake doesn't need another survivalist outfit same as how Felix doesn't need another suit. some outfits aren't bad like another cowgirl kate, but the ones that are overused; Jake and Felix are some examples that could get some diversity in their outfits.
- And if you are going to have a set at least give people that own that outfit the headpiece if it’s possible (like Kates and Janes Greek Outfit.)
- The amount of greed Bhvr had with Jills Hair Annoys me a lot. They made the outfit and still sold it for 1080 AC knowing damn well that they are charging for the default hair. In pin Head’s New outfit he doesn’t have a head but do you see his outfit being sold for 1080? No, it’s 720, and Ghost Faces’ Mask in the Classic Ghost face cosmetic was 200, not 400 for being too similar to the original. They do all this but won’t budge on the jill hair.
- Onesies: Not a complaint but they should make more and universal ones that could be used all year, as well as some other holiday ones like for Halloween and Christmas
This problem is not as bad with with females but is terrible with males like it has been 3 years since Adam (Black/Jamaican) 5 Years since Jake (Asian/Korean), And a Latino or a Middle Eastern character is still not in the game
Correct me if I'm wrong but Jane is Latina and Zarina is Middle Eastern. But I do agree that we need more males of color especially ones that are Latinx, Pacific Islanders, Asian and etc.

I would, but I'm on console and the turn rate for blight and blight in general for console players sucks ass.

I'm sure a lot agree that blight is one of the most fun and unique killers in the game. It's just the PLAYERS that make Blight unbearable to play against.

I can clip how SWFs are doing it against me. It's possible and easy, just use BT, lol. The unhooking animation is shorter than chainsaw rev time, so by the time Bubba is able to down the unhooker the unhook animation will be completed and BT tanks the chainsaw.
I mean, I guess you can consider that a counter but then what about the unhooker?

I dont understand people who are so miserable they gotta try to bring others done and be so hateful. If I wanted that type of hate id just go to a family reunion
You're saying you've never got death threats while playing COD? Weird...

@Junylar said:
Even if the thread is a joke I think I should say it: it's ridiculously easy to save someone who is being facecamped, even if it's Leatherface. You just need 2 people and a bit of coordination, which you 100% have since you play in SWF.
It's impossible to get a safe unhook against a facecamping bubba. If you think its so easy send a clip of you and your SWF doing so.

These matches have been happening to me for weeks whenever I play killer and its getting boring.

I do it when I need to.

@PalletsAndHooks said:
Don't use dead hard, it's not the top tier exhaust perk. Sprint Burst will always be of service and Lithe is the 2nd best option if you wish to better control when you want to sprint.
Always use the long walls except against blight, billy, huntress or possibly trickster (depending on wall height). These killers can counter the long wall loop.
Attempt to use the window up to 3 times before moving over to the pallet. Plenty of players will bemoan an early pallet. Yes it does impact late game, but it really doesn't matter if your goal is to run the killer for five gens. All pallets are your pallets.
Stay on the opposite side of the loop at all times. Prepare to change directions with the killers, and learn to have your survivor face AWAY from the killer for those successive moments of redirection.
Once you drop a pallet, try to move beyond the next loop, not the immediately available pallet loop next to where you just dropped one. You want to capitalize on time and space, so simply moving to the nearest pallet is inefficient (depending on a situation with Cannibal or whatnot). Move to the NEXT loop over; this way, you can retreat BACK as needed to that skipped loop, and you can MAINTAIN THE FREEDOM TO MANEUVER.
Remember this golden rule: Always move away, not around the loop, if you can help it. Don't spend so much time on a jungle gym, because the killer is taking the time to learn about your defense mechanism. Also bloodlust is a means of brute forcing a hit when you're there for too long.
Break the chase = break bloodlust. You don't want the killer to capitalize on time and space, so try to break line of sight often enough that a new chase starts. That's a pallet's strength.
If the killer does not immediately break the pallet, use the long wall to FORCE that pallet break. Once you know the killer committed to breaking the pallet, take advantage of the time and skip a loop. Hopefully you're in a position where you can break bloodlust too.
Your safety is a number one priority when running loop after loop. Learn when things are becoming unsafe. Tombstone Mikey is an easy example to prepare for. Why hasn't he hit tier three yet? NOED is another threat to your escape. Have you run 3 gens? 4? Beware.
Running the killer for five gens is possible. It's going to require that you drop pallets, so try to use the unsafe pallets in between the safer loops if the killer is starting to close distance. Not always ripe, but the conditions can present themselves and you'll be glad that pallet is there (I'm looking at you, pallet behind the Dead Dawg Saloon).
If your team is skillful, they are watching you. They are possibly following the killer with a flash light and prepared to help you. Four generators were completed and the good team knows. They want to help you and they are going to help you when the opportunity presents itself so have faith that your team isn't sitting on their asses only holding M1. If you do go down, you might see their aura and realize they are in close proximity. Crawl to the pallet. Recover if it's too far.
When you do start running for 3+ gens, you are going to fall down hard and a good team will be there to pick you up. This isn't a 1v1, it's always a 1v4, so don't despair. Unless your team is potato. Then you should despair a little and hope you aren't about to get tunneled.
Always use the long walls except against blight, billy, huntress or possibly trickster (depending on wall height). These killers can counter the long wall loop.
To be fair, this is only the case when that Billy, Blight, or Huntress is extremely good at using their power. Other than that you can run long walls normally, just be cautious of the killer and when they decide to use their power.
(Btw I excluded Trickster because hes flat out easy to play.)
-
If you know you didn't tunnel or camp why bother making a post complaining about it? Just ignore them.
-

People act like this build gives you ez 4ks when thats simply not the case. Blight is extremely difficult sometimes and very frustrating it requires a decent amount of skill to use him effectively
It really does, 4 gen perks on a killer with insane map pressure and chase potential is an instant 4K. Even if you're not the best with him you can at least guarantee 1-2 kills with that build.
-
Same reason why people hate survivors that sit on gens, or killers that tunnel off hook.
-
They should just rework Pig's power entirely. A power thats heavily reliant on RNG isn't okay.
-
@miketheratguy said:
I always heard that people hated Claudette because she blends in too easily with the rest of her surroundings. Because she's black I guess? I don't know, I never hear anyone say the same thing about Tapp.
I like Claudette, I think she comes with one of the more solid perk sets. And anyone can blend into tall grass or bushes if they wear dark outfits, especially if they've prestiged as well. I've never had any issue with her as killer, the only female character that I seem to get regular attitude from is Feng.
I think its because her cosmetics are generally darker and on top of that she's a smaller survivor.
-
Why is Wraith lower than Plague and Doctor.
-
@TacitusKilgore said:
You could say this about literally any killer you complete dope, blame it on your own inability to cope with loss in a videogame. If i die to several RBT's several games in a row, i too, could hop on the forum and say "Congrats pig players, you made me hate solo surv" like an idiot. But thankfully, i am not an idiot.
But the thing is is that RBT are RNG based, Getting slugged out by a blight with strong addons in solo queue isn't. The OP has the right to come on the forums and talk about their experience with players like this as much as you do.

That’s definitely not true. I win the overwhelming majority of my killer games at red ranks using this basic strategy:
- Get an early hook before corrupt is over
- Secure the nearest 3 gen to the hook, or it’s already secure depending on where Corrupt still is
- Camp/Tunnel the first survivor to death
- Snowball in the 3v1, through slugging, if too many gens got done during #3
I literally camp and tunnel every game of DBD I play, and I will stop doing it when it stops working
And what do you do when that survivor you tunnel ends up running you for the entire game. Because anytime I try tunneling they just pre-drop every pallet and all the gens fly by.

Point-wise, being "tunneled" is great...
Once you become decent at the game, all it takes is losing them one of the 3 chase sequences they have on you, and you can basically guarantee a +1 pip because your chase score will be maxed. Do one single gen, maybe open the gate, and escape... or get a rescue, a heal, and die... Should be a +1 pip.
If you're being tunneled omega, and you're losing all those chases too fast to get maxed points, AND can't seem to lose the Killer ever during any of those chases... Then it's either time to say, "Maybe I'm not a good Survivor," or say, "Hey, guys, can you start running BT please???"
You can't guarantee pips while getting tunneled because the emblem system cater towards doing generators, not getting chased.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/273970/in-regards-to-pinheads-box
The survivors gradually build up Pinheads passive overtime. When the passive is maxed, all survivors start getting constantly harassed by hooks (These do not reveal survivors to pinhead, and serve rather to slow and annoy the survivor, unless in chase in which case it's dangerous). Completing the box resets the passive, with the downside that Pinhead can teleport to the box's location as its being solved.
Ok that makes a lot of sense now, thank you for informing me!
