If you're not playing Nurse, Blight, Spirit, and maybe Wesker, yes.
But if you make gens take longer, make chases shorter by buffing killers, or make maps smaller/weaker to help; most survivors will get upset so idk what to suggest to be done that won't have them throw a fit.
I would say better matchmaking for more even matches but this community seems to be more inclined towards unfair matchmaking so they can pub stomp more games "like the good old days" of ranks.
I'm never sure if these posts about only 3-4 killers being viable at high MMR are actually serious. I play killer nearly every day and have been doing so for years. I have no issues winning with any of them outside of maybe the bottom five weakest. Stricter matchmaking will never happen because killers won't allow it. 90% of the pushback on stricter matchmaking comes from killer mains who don't want to play against strong survivors every match. Usually influential streamers are at the forefront of this. The matchmaking being what it is now is what allows things like that one clown main to win 90% of his games at high MMR with zero slowdown perks. They've done so many things to make killers stronger since 6.1 and I have no idea what people even want at this point.
-
Yea the bloodpoints on survivor are not acceptable IMO. I usually get more BPs on killer even if the survivor bonus is up. At the very least they could have buffed objective BPs when they nerfed prove. 1250 for a 90 second generator is silly and doesn't make sense at all.
-
There have been multiple outfits I would have purchased if they didn't have backpacks. Please let us remove them.
-
In solo queue just escaping from the gate. I don't count hatch escapes since it's a mickey mouse mechanic. As killer at least a 3K.
-
It's problematic for the same reason knock out is. It's used exclusively by people who go into games with the sole intent of making everyone else miserable. People who run this addon do nothing but camp near the hook with their hatchet charged as the second poster said. It should be changed solely because it promotes unhealthy gameplay. Same story with things like tombstone piece.
-
Mobile games typically bring in way more money as far as I know. Although it is a shame to see so many basic features in DBD mobile that the core game doesn't have for whatever reason.
-
This is one of those things that is almost universally agreed on by reasonable people. The confusing part is why she isn't higher on Behavior's priority list. Although I do feel like a rework is coming once they check off some of the boxes on their current priority list. I'm sure they realize how broken she is at this point. Things always get changed eventually. Even if it takes them forever.
-
Why do people mention the anti face camp like it's some sort of huge asset for survivors? I've seen it trigger once in around 300 games that I have tracked and even then it only barely triggered. It doesn't do anything unless the killer literally stands on the hooked survivor which is a losing strategy to begin with. If anything the anti facecamp buffed killers since they now proxy camp which is stronger anyway.
-
Pretty sure they reverted the new MMR. A new video about the cheating epidemic came out recently and it showed that the soft cap is currently only 1500. Take that with a grain of salt but I can definitely feel it in my games.
-
Nah. Wraith is fine.
-
because you'd have to ban half the playerbase to stop it.
-
The fun factor in this game has gone downhill since MMR was introduced. Who is this system for exactly? It definitely didn't help the people I tried to introduce to the game. Even when I didn't play they were getting matched with people who have thousands of hours. It doesn't work for me either as I still get matched with P100 Blights and Nurses. Even when I go on a big losing streak in solo queue.
-
Cause nobody wants to play survivor in the current state. Terrible matchmaking, constant nerfs, etc. I've been playing mostly killer lately and still get more bloodpoints than I do in an average solo queue match. Even with the bonus.
-
They need to just go with the suggestion that she has to earn her power like Oni. No way any killer should have a power that strong with 100% uptime.
-
I've tried to introduce multiple people to this game and this was part of the reason why they quit. This is one of the least new player friendly games i've ever seen.
-
If you really want to make killers think twice about tunneling then make DS work multiple times like OTR does. Completely avoidable and only gets any value if the killer tunnels.

No. He's very much fine. Is he strong? Yes, very much so, but he's still a skill killer and has reasonable counter play. (seriously, The Blight HATES lockers. lol.) And quite frankly, this game needs more strong killers, not less
Do people really believe the game needs more killers on the level of Blight? I knew this specific forum was biased but my god.
-
Most people would be better off running it over sprint burst. Simply due to the fact that they wouldn't waste so much time walking around the map. I hate it when inexperienced players run sprint burst. The only thing I don't like about overcome is how it doesn't do anything if you are being tunneled. There's no reason why it shouldn't work through endurance considering it is weaker than other exhaustion perks.
-
I use it for two reasons
- I have no idea which pallets my solo teammates have dropped
- Most of the perks I used to use were gutted and aren't worth using anymore. I didn't even use windows until fairly recently.
Believe it or not after 4000 hours I know the layout of every map. No amount of knowing map layouts will tell me which pallets are still up. Dying because I have no way to know doesn't feel good.
-
I've been playing him a lot since the rework and sometimes feel bad for the people who have to go against me. They took an already annoying killer and made him much worse to go against. Aiming the knives is incredibly easy now that recoil has been removed. Not that I ever had a ton of issues since I am on PC. I get downs significantly faster than I did before the rework and there usually isn't anything the survivors can do about it. Main event in particular is way too strong at the moment. Especially when you use certain addons. Overall he's just a terrible killer to play against and I really don't know why they reworked him over some other killers. The amount of people who just give up when they realize which killer i'm playing is definitely more noticeable than it is on the average killer. I don't feel like he is oppressively strong but that doesn't make him fun to go against.
-
Some people are saying they reverted the MMR changes. I feel like I have definitely noticed this. My average killer match is back to being incredibly easy. Average solo match is definitely harder. I got THREE p100 killers in a row running four slowdown perks and hard tunneling at five gens a few days ago. I personally don't know why there is even an MMR system if it's going to be this loose. They'd be better off removing it entirely if it's not going to be strict and produce fair matches for solo players. Loose matchmaking is the biggest reason why solo queue is so bad.

Because the game is very unfair and unbalanced.
This is really what it comes down to. Like what is a solo team supposed to do when they load in against a blight or nurse running four slowdown perks? You just die and there's no way you're winning those games. You shouldn't need to be in a organized group doing call outs and using clock maps to have a chance.
-
Still don't know why the lobby even exists. All it does is cause problems and delay the start of the match.
-
The only ones I hate are Skull Merchant, Sweaty Blight, Sweaty Nurse, Hag, and Twins.
-
The lobby should not even exist to begin with. You should just queue and go straight into the loading screen once you find a match. You'd get games faster and the games would likely be more balanced due to less dodging on both sides. I think the problem is deeper than just killers seeing prestige levels. It's also the fact that they can see hours, items, etc. This should not be a thing. All it does is encourage lobby shopping. The lobby right now is an inconvenience at best. It just makes you have to wait at least 2-3 minutes longer than you would have to if it didn't exist.
and P100s do not get targeted. I have not been successfully tunneled in my last few hundred games and I almost always play on a P100.
-
I don't know why they even buffed a killer that is almost universally hated. Like couldn't they have put that time into fixing nurse, hag, twins, etc? Something that would actually make the game better.

Playing killer is extremely unfun right now. Gens are rushed so hard that you don't even have a chance. I'm getting one hook and two hook games. Can't even get a kill. Can't get pips.
Eventually they will just have to replace killers with bots because nobody is going to want to play killer.
I want these insane teammates you guys always go on about. I am back to getting matched with P100 killers who have 5000+ hours and teammates who won't touch a gen the entire game. Every game is just 3-4 slowdowns and hard tunneling. MMR did seem better for awhile but it's back to being random for me.
-
It's a dumb fantasy scenario because even comp teams do not play perfect matches. Getting four people to play perfectly in a game is not something that ever happens in a real match. Then there is the Nurse/Blight factor as well. Every argument about survivors being stronger is always based on these fantasy scenarios that don't actually happen. There's always a big IF at the start of it.
-
Hopefully this brings more attention to how ridiculous Blight is. I personally want to see Momo reach 3000 wins in a row. At some point the devs will have to admit that it's just silly.

Basekit corrupt would help a lot. Survivors have gotten a bunch of free basekit stuff recently to counter killer strategies that they don't like. Killers have gotten basically nothing in return and as was mentioned above Corrupt got nerfed when literally no one was asking for it. So now the only way for killers to apply any kind of pressure is to tunnel and survivors wonder why killers tunnel all the time. Slow the game down a bit and tunneling won't feel required to secure a kill.
Ah yes one of the strongest perks in the game free for S and A tier killers. Making them even more oppressive.
-
I have seen this system work once in probably 250 games on both sides since it was added. A big problem other than it being extremely lenient to the point of uselessness is that there is literally no way to know the progress as a solo survivor. It SHOULD be something that shows up on the HUD since SWFs can just call it out anyway. Not sure why this isn't a thing. People would play much smarter in these situations if they knew what was going on.
-
You have to rush gens because half of the killers you run into hard tunnel at five gens. If you don't then it's a loss. You basically load in and pray that the person being tunneled is a strong looper with OTR, DS, etc while doing the gens as fast as possible. There's no time to do anything else unless you're throwing for archives.
-
I'd rather have no hook grabs than anti facecamp. Getting rid of hook grabs is the greatest step they ever took towards ending camping. The anti facecamp system is useless and I have seen it trigger in any of my games only once.
-
The extreme shift in balance that existed for awhile. It made the game miserable to play. The game went from favoring bad survivors to favoring mediocre killer players. I think this has gotten much better in recent patches. Especially since they finally made positive changes to gen perks. Especially the horrible gen kick meta. Beyond that I really don't like the the overall work they have done with the maps. I get that a lot of them were survivor sided but I think they went too far on a few of them. People got mad about them not nerfing garden of joy enough but I think slowly making changes is better than sweeping changes which massively swing the balance to the other side. Small maps where half of the map is deadzones is not the answer.

I think it would be horrible for the game. Knowing how many edgelord, and toxic people plays this game they would constantly leave lobbies when the perks aren't good enough for them. It would force people to play certain perks, what the other's think they have to play. And if not, they leave. Which would be also a bad thing, since matchmaking at that point just fill up lobbies the fastes possible way.
Also when you try to play random perks (as a challange, or as content for your audience) they would reeeee etc. I think it would create more drama and problem then how usefull would be.
I'll be 100% honest. I would absolutely dodge lobbies if I saw meme perks. I do agree that this would likely be a major problem.
-
No one despises Blight more than me but i'd honestly rather wait to see the outcome of the addon changes before anything else is messed with. If he's still busted then you can go from there and change other things.

All games are balanced around skilled players except dbd. The devs care more about letting people meme and bully killers than they do a balanced game.
Other games also have better/more strict matchmaking than DBD. If you balanced like this then you would need to significantly change the matchmaking. How do you think high MMR killers would feel about actually having to play against the sweatiest premade groups every single match? I already know how they'd react. People already whine about how sweaty the game is.
-
I do think having to do 8 gens per match because of regression is starting to feel like a bit much. If you go up against something like a blight or nurse stacking regression then you basically have no chance unless the person playing killer is exceptionally bad. I'm not sure how to fix it without screwing over lower tier killers but it's definitely something they need to look at.
-
I am winning more as survivor. I have over a 50% gate escape rate in solo queue in my last 50 games. Probably around 60%. I was below 40% when I had MFT. This is probably the MMR change more than anything though. MFT just happened to get nerfed at around the same time. I really don't notice any difference in my chase length without MFT. I can last just as long as I did when I had it.
-
The only ones I really dislike playing against are Skull Merchant, Twins, Hag, Blight, Onryo, and Nurse. In the case of twins and onryo you just spend way too much time being slugged. It's terrible gameplay that makes me want to shut my computer off. Nurse and Skull Merchant need complete reworks to be enjoyable to play against. I am hopeful that the changes to Hag and Blight will have a bigger effect on gameplay than I think they will.

If they truly do remove any form of three gen from the game all that will do is make tunneling and camping much more frequent. They would literally be shooting themselves in th foot. I hope you're not right but it wouldn't surprise me anymore.
I'm not worried about being tunneled by killers who rely on three gens to win. Players like this are usually terrible in chase in my experience.

So much for the whole "public SWFs are pushover" myth.
These people did an admirable job facing off against the best of the best sometimes being held back by tourney limitations.
And those don't exist on public servers, no reasons not to send some random killer to Garden of Pain with 4 syringes and meta perks.
I think it's incredibly dishonest to act like these are the typical SWF you will run into. The second one had a combined 35K hours. It also needs to be said that the killers won all but one game while also being restricted. Including 4King with Wraith, Singularity, and Dredge. Killers this forum has told me are not viable against high level SWFs. All this video proves is how overpowered tunneling is when even a 35K hour team can't handle it.
-
People gave up more during the gen kick meta. I don't get anywhere near as many quitters as other people say they do. It's a problem but not as big as some people say it is. They just need to add a DC penalty for people who give up on the hook early in the game.
-
Solo queue escape rate is definitely extremely low. The overall survivor escape rate was 39% last time they released official stats. That is when they discounted games with DCs and made no distinction between SWF and Solo. The true escape rate for solo players is probably so low that they don't want to show it.
-
Why don't we just make it so survivors don't get ANY perks? How about they get one less health state too?
-
Blight needs basekit nerfs in addition to his addon changes. Hopefully they finally realize this after the addon changes. Nurse just needs to be completely reworked. Skull Merchant needs to be deleted from the game entirely. Just give everyone some shards and call it a day. If I was running the dev team then I would probably prioritize reworking nurse instead of spending resources on things like hag, twins, trickster, etc. The game doesn't need a killer who breaks every rule of gameplay and has no effective counterplay once the nurse player reaches a certain skill level. The worst thing about nurse is that you don't even need to be insanely good to win nearly every match. Killers like blight are overpowered but require much more skill to achieve incredible results.
-
I do wonder if Behavior will do more with Skull Merchant since she wasn't on the road map. I personally don't think she is acceptable in her current state. Still by far the worst killer to play against. At this point I am in favor of just deleting her outright.
-
I feel like it sort of works. I had a very bad stretch recently where I just lost game after game. However in the last few days I have gate escaped in 13/16 solo queue games. One of those losses was from a teammate giving up. The killers were significantly worse than the ones I am typically matched with. I definitely notice less sweaty blights/nurses than I had before which is a win in my book. My teammates are consistently decent to good but not amazing. Occasionally a terrible player will sneak in.
-
Mine are completely fine on both sides.
-
Cause it's incredibly strong despite some killer mains hilariously trying to claim that gen regression is currently weak. I run it on all my killer builds as well.
