I’m a rank 6 survivor and now that rank reset has come I’m playing a lot of gf. I just can’t beat him. I honestly think he is a A tier killer. He’s basically Myers 2.0. How do you counter him!!! Whenever I legit stand in front of him and look at him he always gets the exposed off before I can actually turn off his power. Please help! I also think that when a survivor is looking at you as gf, it should not give a indication on where the survivor is. Cause no matter what your going to find them.
Turn your full character towards him works, it's mostly where your head is looking as far as I've noticed

The problem with a 60 second pick-up immunity timer is that it allows survivors to be reckless. And of course, at red ranks survivors usually are quite reckless.
The idea behind DS is to prevent a survivor from immediately being targeted again after getting unhooked. In situations like that, I am okay with DS existing. Some killers will immediately return to the hook and go after the survivor who was just rescued, in which case said survivor deserves protection.
But as many of us killer mains know, DS goes beyond that. Survivors can use their brief immunity to make dangerous plays that otherwise should be punished by the killer. By dangerous plays, I mean survivors are intentionally putting themselves in a dangerous situation. Normally, a killer would heavily punish such a play.
I believe there should be provisions in play to make DS only activate if the killer immediately targets a survivor who was just rescued. If the survivor is not immediately targeted again, then they should lose the protection of DS. Because why should the survivor get extra protection if the killer doesn't come back to the hook?
Why not do it so it functions the same as bt?

im 100% solo player but controlling numbers of swf is just being selfish and stupid
because they just tied up with friends theres nothing wrong
just nerf their repair speed 10% at 2,3,4 members
10, 15, and 20 sounds better balanced though

What is wrong with devs? That's impossible for someone who plays only solo queue. Especially the one where you need to REPAIR 4 GENERATORS IN A SINGLE TRIAL in level 4 tome with a ######### perk when you could put Alert or other perk.
Dark Sense is fairly good imo

mori is a silly griefing tool with little counterplay in current dbd. its unhealthy and rewards alot of bad killers with easy kills. it needs to go
I usually have a Mori equipped just so people won't get so cocky, I only use it for rude peeps that tbag at all pallet loops or flashlight click me. Lets me get rid of them so they won't irritate me and thus make me lose my flow and concentration

I advise saying gg :) <--- that usually triggers them more

Xbox and PS4 already have this
You make a party, or a voice chat, and invite people
I meant for the community as a whole, less for the console plebs like me. It would make toxicity less apparent and more dicking around would happen instead of the sweatfest

Kill one and wait for hate messages
There's nothing you can really do other than tunnel one guy to death, of they're truly optimal you won't have time for second. I think im going to try to hit rank 1 as killer and then stay green from now on because of this. People argue about "whiny killers" and all that BS but SWF breaks the game, its while the Devs never intended it to be part of the game.
I don't want it taken out because i use it but if they want killers to actually play they should at the very least give you more BP for it. The higher i go in killer ranks the more often the games are over in less than 5 minutes. Harder, less fun, and more lobby times. What's the point?
My advice is stay in low green and a but into yellow, but be chill against the survivors

mori lists in general for any reason sound sad
I've made one sheerly for the people who screw their own team over, or for the ones who are absolutely rude and have DDos'd me. That's my only reason to make one, and thus it stays

Ew exhaustion add ons make exhaustion perks useless. Idk why killers bring that stuff and then complain they couldn't force others to play with it lol.
It's useful since so many people run alot of exhaustion perks. Maybe people should change up their playstyles more. Just a thought

No one made them release. If they bent to pressure and released it broken anyway then its double their fault. Might as well have not delayed it then.
Incompetence or cowardice. Neither is a good look.
To be fair this is like the Warframe issue, when they've released stuff too early, it's ended up being buggy, but when they said they'll take their time on something everyone complains. It's either have patience and wait, or go somewhere else. If you want a good game you wait instead of being a bunch of narcissistic pricks who think the world functions on their time. Unfortunately the gaming community as a near whole are completely rude.

what's the point of playing this game? All you see are sweaty killers that tunnel, use ruin, and bring ebony mori's Not surprised this game is dying.
I can see someone got a bad killer, they are sweaty cause survivors are sweaty, which in turn makes killers more sweaty, and so on and so forth

This has worked for other games... but what if the person keeps getting disconnected for reasons other than quitting on their own will? What if it was constant crashes, or other issues? Until dedicated servers go live, they can't actually tell, which would make this solution... bad for those unjustly punished.
Thats why I was thinking after dedicated

@Neverdweller said:
Sounds like you take the game way too seriously. I think ranked needs to be removed from the game for just that reason.
If someone wants to leave it shouldn't be a huge impact on you negatively.
It has never really been an issue for me.
You're missing the point here. I laugh when people DC since it shows they are a sore loser. I'm talking for other people who struggle with consistent DC's and #########

well we all want less dcs and theres no easy solution to it. mby i just dont get the point here. if you punish dcer with forcing them to play with other dcer it kinda feels like: okay so what. i play some matches with other dcer and then im back.
i think mby the dcer should just recieve an info that they get into an unhealthy state of where they can get banned soon. so he can change his playstyle accordingly. but i wouldn't dare to tell them they are out of that "unhealthy state"
That sounds much better, I hope the devs add a sneaky punishment with the dedicated servers

@LilBunBun said:
I would love punishments for people that DC early on in the game, but recently I've been suffering a game breaking bug where I just randomly disconnect almost every other game. It's not my internet, I've run tests, I can play other games just fine. I've verified integrity of game files and reinstalled the game to no avail.
If we were to put punishments for people that disconnect, everyone else that experiences this issue would do so though no fault of their own.
Thats unfortunate honestly, but the punishment would only be a few games of dealing with quitters, like 3 or something

sure but the difficulty is to seperate. i dont think its good to throw them all in one cell and let them devour themselves just to get them isolated and punished. i would try to reward not dc'ing. like a stacking bloodpoint bonus for every match you see through.
Rewarding people hasn't made things better in this community, all it did was worse
-
@Madjura said:
I don't think the problem is a lack of punishment, the main problem is that the disconnect detection mechanics are all awful and need to be changed.
If it's possible to properly detect people who disconnect a lot, why bother putting them in a low priority queue or the like when instead you could just ban them? That seems like an easier solution.
True, but it's still better to give them a swift kick in the balls so they learn to not be an ass
-
@T2K said:
Also i forgot, let dc'er play wirh other dc'er? imo also bad idea. if i dc because i dont want to play against an ebony mori prayer beads spirit that Tunnels off the hook im forced to play with players who dc coz they played toxic and didnt want to lose their purple flash? no thanks.
also what if the killer dc? he gets lobbys full of dc'er? no fun for no one
It's not supposed to be fun, it's supposed to be a kick in the balls essentially
-
@foochill1 said:
I belive the game already does that, except the ban part, down vote players get put with downvote players
Well that's good to know, hope the devs kinda see this idea though, cause it would give them a generally easy time during dedicated servers

@Mochan said:
The reason why Ruin is used by almost every killer is because it's a genuinely strong perk.
Now, if your reasoning for making a perk baseline is because it's a strong perk, then maybe we should also make Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time baseline in every survivor's kit.
I'd say borrowed should be available to everyone, but decisive would mean we'd lose our killer base pretty much then and there

If you get good with nurse or spirit you pretty much get a 4k/3k every match. Just watch some videos of them if you want to get better. They aren't hard to learn like people keep saying
It's probably because I'm a more Huntress if I wanna be sweaty, the only map that screws me these days is the Stranger things one
-
@Mochan said:
If you only want to play Spirit I could say the same to you. Maybe you should play a different game.
LOL imagine thinking that you need to work for your kills as spirit and finding it difficult.
Honestly any killer is difficult, have you tried playing them for extended periods of time into the red and purple ranks? It sucks ass being there with even Spirit and Nurse since you're not getting more than one kill if you're a semi casual like me

Then the killer mains also want easy games since they keep complaining about gentimes/adrenaline/ds etc.
I play killer and survivor on and off mostly, and I dunno what the problem is with adrenaline is. Gen times could be better tbh, or at least more tolerable on both sides, and decisive is honestly fine as it is. It punishes you for focusing down and being an dick to someone
-
@artist said:
people really need to stop assuming anyone who complains about something does it just because that something is strong. it only shows you don't actually know or care about what the other side is arguing and let's me know you aren't open for debate
Usually the killer Mains are correct on the assumption though, 80% of the survivor community seems to act like strong characters should be nerfed so they have easy games. No one seems to want a challenge in the gaming community as a whole.

I don't like this response.
"As part of the Community Manager team I can say we are aware of this issue and it is something we are working on."
Is something you could have said, instead of this weak "Well there's nothing we can do about this.". To me this issue is clearly one that the Community Management team should be working on, but you make it sound like it's not something you care about.
Maybe people should learn to be decent so developers wouldn't have to reduce capabilities on both ends. Ever thought of that instead, Peanits really isn't saying they aren't doing anything, but you just be nice instead of making yourself into an ass

@Mochan said:
People have been asking for this feature for years.
I think it's a good idea, but it's not being implemenetd.
Which is unfortunate, because it really could be good for a QOL for the killers. I hope they will do it, since after dedicated comes out people will wanna DC less

Additional remark:
It could work that a lot of killers would willingly play against SWF if they would get "compensated", that means bonus bloodpoints and bonus emblem points.
that's kinda more along the lines I was thinking, maybe get like 100 iridescent shards for playing with SWF squads, even if it's not a full team

This punishing mentalitly is ridiculously childish, "mom mom, he wont let me play with the toys😭😭 do something MOM!" this is you dawg, yeah hes childish too but youre being a lil whiney fck that noone likes.
So what you're saying is you support toxic behavior like lobby dodging and stuff? If you're one of the people that does it, you're getting your ass completely banned when dedicated servers roll around.

Not gonna lie people will be caught doing this ######### when dedicated servers eventually come around, but for now it's sucktastic and you'll have to suffer with the rest of us

Absolutely not. Lunges are perfectly easy to dodge, if you're having problems dodging them it's honestly probably your fault for being predictable enough to be smacked by said lunge. I play both sides consistently and when I play survivor(I'm a Claudette) it's really easy to avoid them if you learn how to bait them into using it early, or using dead hard
