Go on youtube and watch some videos while eating doritos
I prefer munching on chocolate drizzled coconut macaroons.

Here is what I think he needs-
- Start the match with 4 traps
- Disarming traps inflicts oblivious status on survivors. There should be some base-kit risk to disabling a killers power.
- Faster trap setting.
- Traps spawn closer to the center of the map, not out on the edges.
- Traps change color depending on where they are placed. Not so much as to be indistinguishable from the surroundings, but enough to where they can't be seen from a mile away.
-
Thanks! You sold her to me. I now want to buy her and force weekend sweaty survivors into 30+ minute matches.

All that. And:
- space station
- rocky mountain location (with elevations)
- Hawkins Lab
- Cyberpunk city (hopefully with proper cyberpunk killer design, not Skull Merchant)
- Tropical island (ocean instead of walls)
- Hawkins Lab
did I mention Hawkins lab?
I'd love an Island map where if you go too far into the water, an Orca would grab on to you and fling you back into the map.

Darktide is a Warhammer 40k 4-player co-op first-person horde shooter game about conscripts fighting demons. It's a sequel (sorta) to Vermintide, a similar game but in the Warhammer Fantasy setting.
But I have no idea what "uber doge mlem doge" means.
I think this is the meme (could t find one without text)

How is saboing and flash saving just “playing the game” but camping and tunneling is not?
Camping and tunneling isn’t fun for survivors, therefore, it’s not part of the game and you must avoid it at all costs in order to spare their emotions.
Saboing, blinding, locker stunning, body blocking, t-bagging, and everything else survivors can do is fun for them, regardless of how the killer feels, so it’s all part of the game. You should understand by now that the killers feelings are irrelevant to 99% of survivors.
-
The entity is already in the game. They’re a master shapeshifter indistinguishable from those it copies. It loves to take part in the trials as a survivor in order to inflict maximum misery. Every time you see a useless survivor teammate, it’s the entity trying to fill you with despair. Every time a killer goes against a Claudette that they can’t catch, they’re actually going against the entity.

I like it when you guys run Lightborn. It means a lot of games, you get to run 3 perks the entire game
With the current state of the game, Franklins is so much better than Lightborn. Not only are blinds minimized, healing through Med Kits is too!
Bonus points for stealth killers since they can hide near the dropped item and wait for you to lower your guard and come back to it.

Oni rakes them in. You get points juat for collecting blood and charging around, that's without landing hits and getting hooks. He can one hit break doors and pallets for quick destructive points too.
Yea, while I don't mind losing, I don't want to not be able to hit survivors. Both Oni and HillBilly are no can do for me. My brain goes on pause when trying to use their power.

@MrMori said:
Some say "have a build with a mix of slowdown to max all categories, etc", but that actually isn't the best way to get lots of BP.
Equip Distressing, Beast of Prey and Thrill of the Hunt, and whatever comfort perk you want. Ditch gen slowdown entirely. As you mention, it doesn't matter if the games are short, that's exactly what you want. As long as you're getting max Deviousness + Hunter, you'll have really good BP gains.
Lategame sacrifices aren't worth more than 700 BP unless gates are powered, so forget whether you're getting a 4k or a 0k, it's all about having the fastest games with the most BP per minute. Open gates whenever you have an opportunity for bonus Sacrifice points.
The best characters are ones that have no issue maxing their Deviousness, get into many chases, and can get multiple hits or free hits somehow, often through stealth or other methods. It doesn't matter if the game ends in 5 mins and they all escape if you got max Deviousness and Hunter, that's still tons of BP.
So here's a list of a few really good ones loosely ordered:
- Blight - Tons of chases, tons of hits, great deviousness gain
- Wesker - Similar to Blight
- Wraith - Stealth killer, easy Hunter and Brutality points with hit and run
- Nemesis - Extremely fast Deviousness gains, gets into lots of chases.
- Trickster - Very easy to max Deviousness, fast chases
- Sadako - Free hits + high Deviousness gains. 2200 Deviousness per hit with her BP addon.
- Bubba (With Speed Limiter) - Hits for 3400 Deviousness points, multihits for Brutality points near hook, etc.
- Clown - Can farm Deviousness in chase.
- Knight - Good BP gains in most categories, Distressing makes his Deviousness point gains pretty good.
Honorable mentions:
- Ghostface - Bonus BP in Brutality which is unique and good, very good Deviousness points, but often gets mediocre Hunter points thanks to instadowning and stealth
- Oni - Also gets bonus Brutality in his power, and good overall BP gains too.
- Nurse - Surprisingly awful Deviousness gains, remedied by often getting a 4k for easy 5000 Deviousness points. Sometimes simply ends games and chases too quickly to actually get any good BP lmao.
- Legion - Not bad at all, but if you're going for multihits you slow the game down a lot. Can hit people to go out of frenzy for some extra Brutality points, but gets surprisingly few Deviousness points unless survivors group together.
- Doctor - Sure he gets easy Deviousness points, but what else does he have? Not much. Not bad by any means, but not great either.
Probably too detailed of a post honestly, but I run BP boosters every game and play for BP and chase mostly, so I figured I'd weigh in.
No, not too detailed, I really appreciate it. I tried Doctor, and like you said, he doesn't have much going for him. I'm doing better with Vanity Mirror Myers than I was with Doctor 😅
I'll give Wraith a try. I enjoy him for the hit and run and I like spooking survivors. I'm tempted to purchase one of the Resident Evil killers, but I need to watch some game play videos and see what looks more attractive to me. I wish we still had those shards that let us try out a killer we don't own.
Thanks again!

Anything that’s not Borgo or Garden of Pain. After getting sent to those maps by survivor offering over and over this past weekend, I’m at the point of just tabbing out the next time I’m forced to go there. Everyone can play M1 Gen simulator while I go pet my cats.

legion and doctor 100%
but with doctor farming points is waay easier since you dont need people to be closer unlike legion to get the maximum bp gain
@Wampirita said:
Doctor and Legion are an amazing bp printers. You can slap distressing on both, since it affects their power + makes you reach the category bp cap faster. You don't need to have good games with them to leave with 30+k bp every game.
I have both, though I enjoy Doc more.
What’s a good build that I could use? Also thanks for the responses!

They’re never going to do anything to SWF. In a perfect world, SWFs would be limited on the perks and offerings they use, but that’ll never happen.
So, instead, killer mains, when facing them, just tunnel the weakest link out asap. Proxy camp, force second stage, run NoeD, play only strong killers(because it’s obvious none of the M1 killers will ever get buffs to compete vs good survivors) and do what you have to do. SWFs do it all the time and go all out with BNPs, Flashlights, Tool Boxes, map and hook offerings and Med-kits with syringes.
Don’t sleep on Franklin’s Demise. If you have Lethal Pursuer, you can make all their tool boxes and items useless before they can use them. Feel free to use map offerings to killer sided maps or even bring in a Mori. They may not be what they were in the past, but I’ll save you from having to hook a boiled over user.
It bears repeating- If They go all out, so too should you. It sucks that you can’t main your preferred killer because they’re weak, but complaining about it won’t change anything.

Myers needs a high polygon body remodel with washboard abs, well built pecs, arms, thighs and a shirtless cosmetic. He also needs a black suit cosmetic with slicked back hair.
Huntress seems to need work too. While I understand she’s supposed to be muscular due to living in her own in the woods, her hooked on you outfit looks weird on her.

Pfft, get back to me when you put in 4k more hours

Some moist towelettes so survivors and killers can clean their dirty bits. A few Snickers and Reese’s and maybe some Mr Goodbars so Dwight and Felix can have snacks while they hide.

I’m sorry if I don’t chase you. People who t-bag at the start of the match are usually the good loopers. I’ve learned to ignore them and find the weak link and tunnel them out instead. That way, I get rid of the map resources quickly and make it easier to catch the t-bagger and bleed them out.

Slug them and bleed them out. While they're slugged, find the weak link and tunnel them out. It'll buy you more time to bleed out the boiled over user.

I dont see claudettes in my games
I still see them but nowhere near as much as I used to. They’ve become a rare species. The Bush is not what it once was. Players have given the message they want “sexy, glamorous, hot and cool” characters and the devs obliged.
Not complaining, I just wish they’d let me design 10 outfits for Claudette.
-
yea, I see less and less of David. I miss getting teamed up with three shirtless David’s.
I see more and more Fengs, Leons and Elodies with a sprinkling of Janes and The rare Nancy here and there.

Nah, I’m finding my matches more enjoyable now. Survivors aren’t “in my face” like the used to be and my games don’t feel like a chore. I mainly play low mobility killers and I’m doing okay. PWYF and Mind Breaker/ Fear Monger help a lot as well.

I've never thought about camping an item with franklins on scratched mirror. You're a genius😂. I love that idea.
You’d be surprised how often they fall for it! It’s made some matches really fun. Sometimes I don’t even hide. I just stand there and when they approach I shake my head left and right to imply “No”. They point or beckon me to follow trying to distract me while their friend tries to be sneaky and steal it from me.
It’s also fun to trap their items with Trapper.

To be honest as much as I'd love a trapper buff, I don't think giving him all traps at the start of the match basekit is the way to go. All it takes is one person being an idiot (which, in solo, very often) and suddenly he can trap the entirety of Basement or another tight structure and render unhooks effectively impossible.
We don't need another Bubba situations on our hands.
I don't know how I'd buff him in different ways, but I'd rather try and do that instead.
This will be a great buff to Trappi Boi

How the hell are you playing scratched mirror on outdoor maps? I wouldn't even be able to get a down lmao
It’s not easy, but I’m currently farming blood points to hoard indoor map offerings.
If I get Borgo or Garden if Pain I expect to get nothing accomplished. It’s so hard to sneak up on people on those maps.
Strategy is to try traveling along the edges of the map and approach from angles survivors don’t expect. Always walk with LOS blocked by objects. Always get three stacks of PWYF and save the obsession for last. Always run Franklins because they can’t heal and most of the time they go back to the item while I’m camping it.
If they’re t-bagging I proxy camp and tunnel or force a hook trade. If they get to two gens, I force them to get into second stage if I could.
-
I’m doing fine playing casually as Scratched Mirror Myers without even using map offerings. PWYF, Haunted Grounds, NoED and Franklins. Franklins is amazing with the current healing nerfs since it takes away Med Kits. It’s also fun to camp an item while hiding behind a wall, waiting for the survivor to come back for it.
Sure, I get my butt handed to me by people who know Myers weaknesses and how to loop, but it’s not that often and it’s nothing that a little bit of tunneling and proxy camping can’t help with in evening the odds.

OP has clarified multiple times that he simply wants to see how the devs would react to playing solo-q. Asking for his personal gameplay videos has nothing to do with the conversation.
How does their personal gameplay experience have nothing to do with the conversation? They specifically state that Solo Queue is “virtually unplayable” but fail to explain why. I just requested they show us how it’s unplayable.
I guess my request was unreasonable.

No, you instead decided to be condescending instead. Plus, OP has clarified themselves multiple times and you’ve continued to press.
I didn’t know asking for OP to be more constructive and for gameplay videos of their matches being “unplayable” is condescending.
I would say that the OP is the one being condescending towards the devs.
-
Just because I’m not good at the game doesn’t mean I can’t recognize good and bad players.
Your teammates making bad choices or being bad at the game is not indicative of problems with the game but more so of problems with their skill.

Never said I’m good at the game or that I’m a master. I’m just intelligent and honest enough to recognize when an issue I have with the game is a “me” problem.
I play in NA and I have over 6K hours, mostly solo queue. Been playing since Stranger Things chapter.

Would you mind providing video evidence on how you experience none of these problems as a solo-q player? According to your logic, you’ll be happy to post multiple videos or else your point is invalid :)
I never claimed I experience none of these things, nor am I the one who posted a complaint thread. The onus to provide the evidence is on the OP since they’re the one who is having grievances with Solo Queue.
-
@Ayodam said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3418208#Comment_3418208
Hmm. You really don’t need OP to provide video evidence of how people behave in solo queue. The experience of solo queue is a dead horse that has been beaten ad nauseam in these forums. You know solo queue players are inefficient. Everyone does. It’s talked about daily—and many other players provide evidence, including the most popular streamers. Hell, Otzdarva talks about how bad solo queue is //weekly//. The reason you asked for ‘evidence’ is because you want to try poking holes in OP’s argument. That’s where the argument from bad faith comes from.
I do need to see some evidence because I, as a solo queue player, do not have the same experience as the OP does. Sure, I’ll see some tunneling and camping here and there, but it’s no where near as rampant as the OP or other posters on the forums claim it is.
The solo queue experience has only improved over the years. The devs have done everything they could to make it better for solo players and it’s become so much better with the active hud information.
The daily complaints about solo queue that you mentioned are just that, complaints. There’s hardly any constructive discussion at all. It’s usually Killer OP or Killer is too easy with zero evidence to back up their statement.
Solo Queue players being inefficient isn’t a problem with the game. The devs can’t make the players better. The devs can’t force a duo swf to do gens and not chase the killer with flashlights. They can’t force players to learn how to loop and not go down on 5-10 seconds. They can’t force them to play killer in order to learn how their powers and abilities work and learn how to counter them when playing against them. They can’t force survivors to care about each other and work together, nor can they force killers to play how survivors want them to play. It wouldn’t be the game we all got addicted to and trying to do so would kill it.
The only thing that needs work is matchmaking, but that’s never going to get better because there’s simply not enough players across all the skill spectrum to match people appropriately.
But sure, y’all can whine as much as you want and accuse people asking for a proper discussion of not being genuine.
-
@Ayodam said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3418135#Comment_3418135
So my problem with this narrative is that this one person (OP) isn’t going to carry a team to victory through solo queue even if they’re an amazing looper or whatever. They said they aren’t a great survivor but tbh they shouldn’t have to be. And it really wouldn’t matter if they were. I’ve seen great survivor mains like Ayrun and Naymeti and really good killers who play survivor like Spooky Loopz and Otzdarva loop killers from start to end yet still die. And that’s a loss because they didn’t escape the trial, which is the win condition for survivors. It doesn’t really matter how efficient this one person or that one person is because this is a game of attrition. The only way OP could theoretically have a great solo queue experience and potentially win by themself is by bringing some sort of end-game selfish survivor build. Which you and your ilk discourage (sUrViVoR iS tEaM or whatever your battlecry is). I think you approached this argument in bad faith and that’s why OP ultimately dismissed you.
They don’t have to be a good looper. The point of asking for videos is to see what they and their teammates are doing. To see how good or bad the killer is and to see how bad solo queue actually is for them. Is it really an issue with the game design or the players? Is buffing solo even more than they’ve already been buffed warranted or is it simply a matchmaking issue?
It’s not bad faith to ask for evidence. It’s bad faith when you run from a conversation or imply the devs don’t care or are bad at their jobs without actually saying so, like the OP did. They obviously have an issue with the game but they refuse to even have a discussion and just want people to jump on the bandwagon get ignored.

I'm sorry this isn't about me or anyone I play with, this is about the solo queue in general. I think you're missing the point of my post. It's simple.
Devs, play a game of solo and give your honest opinion. Is this what you intended solo to be like?
This is about you. You have an obvious complaint about solo queue, which is why you made this thread. But rather than be straightforward, you’re deflecting.

Same. My games haven’t been much different other than teammates are more efficient now. Sure, I still get the potato hiding behind a rock trying to self care while I’m on a hook, but that’s never going to be fixed. It’s not a problem with the game, it’s a problem with players in general.
I wouldn’t mind if we can get an emote that we can use while on hook that causes our character to scream out “STOP EFFIN HEALING AND COME SAVE ME YOU TURD!!!”, but it’ll never happen.

Of course I could. I'm a casual gamer, so my games are not optimal. I'd be showing you a plethora of videos of the first person hooked being camped and/or tunneled, but that wouldn't be very interesting, would it?
It would be very interesting. It would be interesting to see how long you loop the killer or how fast they down you or your teammate.
Tunneling and camping only work because survivors let it work, and it would be interesting to see how often you/your teammates fail by feeding the killer.
Being casual is a “you” problem and not a problem with the killer or their tactics. If one side wants to play to win and the other is indifferent about winning, the side who wants to win will usually win, irregardless of the tactics used.
Of course, like so many posters on here, you won’t share videos of your gameplay. You’ll just deflect instead.

Can you post some videos of your gameplay?
