Oooh I've not seen this. I'd still be skeptical that she's -the- most disliked killer, especially since other killers like Trickster and Knight are, even in these results, so close to her as well.
Regardless it doesn't really matter how disliked she is, BHVR is never, nor should they ever outright delete a killer. They already reworked her so she's much better than she was, and they'll likely continue to give her some small tweaks to help her feel better to play against in future.
If you -really- hate SM -that- much that you simply refuse to even play a game against her, you shouldn't really be playing DBD to be honest.
oh no, I gotta quit playing DBD because I heavily dislike 1 of the 30+ killers in the game… shucks…
-
I know there’s probably limitations, I don’t know anything about coding and what not.. but I would have liked to see a heavier holiday / Christmas / snowy theme across the board. Maybe snowfall effects? Reindeer and a sleigh going across the sky? More snow on the ground? Etc.. Many of the maps felt no different, other than piles of snow skulls and the snowmen scattered across the place.
The snow skulls were fun. I had many chases where we would exchange snow skulls at each other while looping. No suggestions here.
The snowmen were cool. I think me personally, I preferred the old, cuter snowmen, but I understand the horror vibe y’all sought to achieve. But there was something unnerving about the old snowmen… so cute, but was the killer inside?
Lastly, I would have liked another event objective for both sides. Perhaps something like collecting presents and putting them under the tree to collect rewards or something like that. Something that made the event feel more “alive” I guess. Many players ignored the event entirely, not paying any attention to the snowskulls or snowmen. I think an event objective that requires some thought and input increases participation and interest.

Much more. It's lacking any explanation or reasoning, almost as if someone only parroted a popular opinion like everyone else does.
Though her being easy to play is a valid point - but I don't see why every low-tier killer must be hard to play. Not everyone has to be Hillbilly.
But to display the balanced nature of my views - I think her walk is absolutely abysmal, only comparable to Jessica Rabbit's - but she was meant to be a parody of sexy. Lucky for me I don't have to see it from first person. :P
I wonder why that opinion is popular. 🤷🏻♂️
What about what I said lacks explanation or reasoning? Or better yet needs one?

I think I can safely give a hard no to this. The Kill Switch is there purely for a bug that's game breaking - not because you don't like playing against a character. So this is definitely not going to happen...and most certainly, not everyone dislikes playing against either of those two characters.
Woah sick PFP, Mandy!

I can't take any Skull Merchant criticism seriously that doesn't start with
"yes, I know the drones do nothing if stay still, crouch-walk, avoid the scan-lasers or leave the loop, but..."
The only explanation for a Skull Merchant being better in 3-gen than any territorial killer is if the survivors doesn't know this. Also there is no explanation for a Skull Merchant being better in chase than a Clown besides the comparison-Clown being bad.
yes, I know the drones do nothing if stay still, crouch-walk, avoid the scan-lasers or leave the loop, but…. she remains the absolute worst killer ever made and implemented. Her “power” is brainless and boring, her “counterplay” is brainless and boring. She requires no thought to play, no mechanical skill, and her kit reaps more benefits from simply pressing m2 than any other killer.
Better?

While it's certainly a popular opinion you can't just say it's a majority held opinion without actually polling a decent amount of the playerbase.
Also they're obviously never going to outright remove a killer as that sets a terrible precedent, people can complain about any killer enough and eventually they'd get removed.
Also SM has and has always had a higher pick rate than a bunch of other killers in the game. Should we just delete less-picked killers because they're clearly not very popular either?

Bit unfair for the players who enjoy her.

I would send her away in a heartbeat. She’s the least enjoyable killer in the game, and that’s a majority held opinion.

Because the game uses a competitive MMR system.
Sure, in an old CoD you could run up huge winstreaks. However, in any game that has MMR, the ENTIRE point is to match people appropriately.
2000 winstreaks do not happen in Siege or OW.
Don’t really think you can compare a game like siege to dbd. They are in totally different realms of balancing and play style.
-
Wrong.
The only change needed was a full delete.

The Blight mains are the sweaty ones! It's @HugTechLover and his associates.

Blight requires more “chase” than any other killer. His power is, LITERALLY, “chase”.

So the playstyle is too good? Shouldn't every killer just tunnel/slug every game to win and doesn't that mean with other playstyles you handicap yourself? It's kinda surpricing that tunneling is not more common how superior it is?
Yes. That would be true. Choosing not to tunnel and slug is a handicap to yourself, but if you have any care at all about player experience, you won’t play that way because it’s miserable to be the victim of.

To your POV, you play the game normally. To survivors who dont use Distortion, all they see is you just coming back for them, and they have no idea until out of the game seeing all teammates have Distortion.
I just explain, why survivors who dont use Distortion pitching about tunneling, because they have the right. You said like they use Distortion so they should not complain about being tunneled.
Their complaint shouldn’t be with me, but with their distortion gamer teammates. Distortion is the sole cause of them being “tunneled”.

Technically they were right, you punished survivors who dont use Distortion.
Similar when killers complain about survivors use multiple second chances but out right tunnel survivors who dont use. Which, force them to use multiple second chances.
We can realize, people dont use Distortion because they dont want to get chase, hiding all the game. People use Distortion so they will not be the only one killers see their aura.
Mmmm. I don’t agree. Can’t call it “tunneling” or “punishment” when it’s out of my control and leaves me with no choice.
-
Yep. I have many a survivor b**ch at me for tunneling them, when I’m running full aura and two of their teammates have distortion.

Yea no that’s a pass from me.

Do it then buddy XD What do you expect me to say here dude? ^^ I find it quite impressive, not only would I probably get bored way earlier, just because playing the same killer that many times in a row tends to not be that interesting, besides the point where I am not even close to as skilled as those guys... But I find the commitment quite impressive...
As for the "it's nurse" ... I mean sure, but it still takes a long time to become that good and consistant on her even on indoor maps. And arguably with addons she is not even the strongest killer anymore... Sure to master blight you need a lot more time and effort, especially on maps with collision this bad, but I don' t think we should downplay the mastery and effort people put into those streaks.
I don’t expect you to say anything? You literally replied to my comment telling me how you are impressed. Ok? Cool… I’m not.. I’ve done the whole winstreak thing. Got more than 200 in a row with blight and got bored.
If you find the commitment to that playstyle impressive, good for you I guess? Lol
I never once downplayed their skill. They are good killers. But there is more to getting a win streak than being “good”. The majority of it is carried by the play style and perks once a certain skill is met. I am not impressed by that.

I mean, the commitment and consistancy over such a long period of time has quite some weight, especially considering that the performance is somewhat the same even on indoor maps, which makes average nurses struggle quite a lot... But sure you don't get comp players in pub games a lot and the matchmaking struggles to find proper opponents for this guys, resulting in such winstreaks.
The all slowdown part does not really apply to the perkless addonless nurse does it?
Still, not impressed.
Also, it’s nurse. Lol

Don't forget, these are also people that have pretty much perfected their play style. An unprepared solo group will not stand a chance against these killers. Put them in a tournament setting though with the survivors knowing who they play against and suddenly this looks a lot different.
Exactly. That is another key point. These are not average killers.
-
The “win streaks” don’t carry much weight to me, after seeing the winstreak style of gameplay.
Congratulations, you hard tunneled and slugged at 5 gens using all slowdown in pub matches. More than half the games have people just immediately give up and go next.
Not impressed. Without that style of gameplay, regardless of the killer, the streaks would be nowhere near as high.

Why does everybody say blights addons are too strong? I read them yesterday and for me they were meh. I only use the iri one to distroy pallets and one other, for me that one is the most important.
Are you a newer player?
The issue is the addons in the hands of a good blight become very problematic. C33 is problematic for everybody. Insane value for little input requirement.
You give me alch ring, crow, and shadowborn, and I will comfortably beat most teams. Granted, I have a ton of hours on blight, it’s still a bit much.

Ahh so you’re not ignorant to what they do for survivors and against killers, but you will ignore it because it doesn’t support your narrative. Got it.

I don't think so. The last hacker I encountered started out subtle but when I couldn't catch up to her even in Bloodlust 2 out in the open, I knew something was off. A minute later Yun-Jin Lee used the perk "I believe I can fly" and made her way onto Ormond's main building. That was the last I saw of her.
Hahah! That reminds me of a huntress game I had. I downed a yoichi pretty early on, 30 seconds or so. There was a kate sitting nearby, and I left yoichi slugged to go chase her. After about another 30 seconds every single gen insta pops and the gates open.
There was a feng, and in end game chat said “we don’t slug around here” and left. I still have the clip of it. Kate stopped running and just turned around to look at me. It was hilarious.

I played a couple of games now. Yes the turning during dash is limited. That feels bad. Is he not usable anymore? For most of what I already did, nothing changed. Just the more fancy stuff is harder. I found, that after sampering, turning still worked like before. Weird. Flicking with Chucky still works from what I've tested. I even got a 180 flick around shack. Dont know if that's intended or not. 90 degree flicks definitely work just fine. As expected.
Chuckys still alright. But limiting movemebt never FEELS good. If it's a bug that needed to be fixed, alright, fix it. But then his turning could maybe be adjusted accordingly.
Put in a couple more games today. Not much changed against your “ehh” survivors.
But the good survivors capitalize off the change, knowing how to hit angles that I couldn’t hit with an m2. It felt pretty terrible.
On the flip side, I’ve started baiting the m2, which will many times make them set up for a corner tech… and I just walk through and m1. So funny. Lol

When I fire up DBD on my Xbox series X it takes 83 seconds to get to the main menu. When I select Play as Survivor for the first time it takes 52 seconds to get to that roster. When I select Play as Killer for the first time it takes 55 seconds to get to that roster. Once I've selected either role at least once they both will load in much faster, probably half the time (haven't clocked those yet).
Back when I played DBD on the Xbox1x it would take over two minutes to get to the main menu. I very clearly remember it hanging on whatever tf "loading RTS store" is, and then hanging on "Initialization complete" for even longer. I don't recall how long it took to load into the rosters, but I think it was faster than the Series X does it for some reason. I imagine all this is absolutely horrific on a Nintendo Switch.
The point being this game is a resource monster that because of the way it was coded bottlenecks very easily. A strong PC will power through almost anything DBD conjures up, but it is different on the consoles, particularly so on the older machines.
Back in 2019 on their Road Map they set a goal for getting all platforms running this game at 60 fps minimum. After like two years passed or so they confessed that they simply could not do it on the prior gen machines. Not because of their capabilities, but because of the bottlenecking problems. They even said adding in graphics options like Low or High or Ultra such as PC has would not help at all, and like two years ago they removed the Switch's ability to record their matches to try and improve performance. The code is that unwieldy apparently.
That’s what I’m saying. I get it 100%. My wife plays on my old Xbox and it takes forever for her to start up, and load in and out of lobbies, whereas it takes me a couple seconds at most.
My buddy with the new console loads in pretty fast.
Just older consoles getting old, and contemporary games getting harder for them to load.

It requires more skill to be more precise when slice n' dice-ing, and manipulating the survivor's pathing in your favor. Expressing skill and being skillful are not the same.
When did I say Blight doesn't have a skill ceiling? Read it again. The fact that you're being offended by another player's opinion in a video game tells me all I need to know. Continue to live in your delusion.

May i ask what motivates you to play overpowered addons on an already extremly strong killer? If i remember correctly, Blight is your main and you are like devotion 40. Whats the point?
It’s a valid question. I don’t run it to be “overpowered” or for easy wins. I run it because the fast paced gameplay that alch ring allows me to maintain. Going for crazy lethal rush hits is what is fun for me, and with alch ring I can rush all game with no cooldown.
Truthfully, anybody that doesn’t drop themselves by the time I get to 8 hooks, gets let out. I don’t really go for the kills anymore.

If you're so skilled, make 90 degrees work. A skilled Chucky shouldn't have to flick 180 degrees in the first place. If you need 180, it's because the survivor was skilled or you dashed past them. Arguably this change made Chucky more skillful to play. However, I can understand your frustration if you put in "23 prestige's" in 16 days for your main during that time to be changed.
I personally believe Blight simply is difficult to play for beginners and doesn't have a high skill ceiling -- just higher than some other killers -- but that's another discussion. I am looking forward to his changes.
I’m sorry, but you’re not making any sense. They made him more skillful to play by removing a mechanic of skill expression?
Blight doesn’t have a high skill ceiling? lmao

No, I am not. A bug fix is a good thing. It allowed you to circumvent limitations that the devs put on his power on purpose.
Yes, you are. It shouldn’t have been an intended limitation in the first place. All they did was remove a feature that promoted skill expression. A feature that other similar killer have. It makes no sense to limit chucky.

Well Blight's hug-tech also confirmed to be bug. So maybe they are going to fix his bugs too, we will see that. After PTB , things can change for Blight too.
I can't wait to see PTB only because of Blight. I waited long time for his day.
For Chucky; he should not be balanced around bug. If he needs help, they can buff him. But exploiting bug should never be option. Unless devs changes their mind and make it feature.
Again, it shouldn’t be a bug. Blight’s hug tech and chucky’s flick should/should have been left as features, because they promote skill expression.

I don’t agree. It should not have been “fixed”. It shouldn’t have been a bug. I can 180 as intended with blight. Chucky, who has one dash, with an 18 second cooldown, and very obvious telegraphing of his power, should be able to hit a flick as well.
