  • Because survivor mains will never be happy until they escape 80%+ of all their games. M1 heroes get frustrated because they think being able to pound out gens super fast makes them good and because they are good they deserve the escape.

  • Hmm I wonder how many of those are on the survivor perk side...

  • Dedicated servers broke more than they fixed. In fact I don't think they fixed anything really. Half of the killer cast suffers from extremely game breaking issues due to them, for the simple fact this game was built to be P2P originally and isn't made around Dedicated Servers. Idk I never see anything good out of it, I get screwed over as killer and survivor more than I ever did in P2P.

    Nope.

I know doc isn't in a bad place right now, but a good QoL change you guys should consider would be making his add ons work in T1 now. This would make T3 not worse than T2 without any actually buffs for the doc. Plz and ty <3

  • No. If you swf it actually removes her ability to mind game you during a chase entirely. Tbh this add on is trash and I would never use it, ever. Makes you weaker with no gain at all.

  • The problem isn't just gen speed, it is gen speed, namely early game, as well as map design on top of it. Ever notice how when you get The Game that the trial lasts quite a bit longer most of the time? That is because the map is small enough for the killer to apply the correct level of pressure to slow the game down well. Now switch over to Rotten Fields where a gen literally gets finished before you can run to it, assuming you headed straight to said gen.

Different maps need different gen speeds that or a majority of maps need a massive rework, because a lot of people hit the nail on the head: just run full meta perks, bring a toolbox and play with a friend or three and you will win 95% of your games, easily. I know all of this from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE DOING IT. I am a much better killer than I am survivor, but even I can run the killer around for 1-2 mins, costing him 2-3 gens easily, and that is before any kind of god window/pallet abuse.

May be unpopular but I definitely think it should. It prevents you from getting slugged and the killer timing it to avoid DS. Sometimes I get killers who like to stand on my body and literally wait. It’s boring for me. Yeah, my teammates get extra time on gens but where’s my fun ;-; . I feel like DS should just work differently. Having DS activate until another person is hooked seems like a pretty sufficient method to me, easily counter-able by simply playing the game!

The problem with it though is that the killer should be able to slug you. Slugging you is a form of slowing the game down with pressure without actually killing you in an unfair manor where you can't stop it. Being slugged off the hook sucks for sure, but so does an unhooked survivor instantly getting on a gen and knowing you can't stop them because they just hop in a locker.

  • Yeah she is...so long as her mask is still on!

  • All the salty comments from these survivor mains is pretty funny. "Spirit is ez low risk high reward." Keys, DS, DH, toolboxes say hi. Lets not even talk about god windows or corn maps. =p

  • Just use a mori. Most killers didn't really use moris that often so I know a lot of people have them stockpiled now, you are most likely one of those. Bring a mori, it's fun :)

  • It's a great way to punish genrushing. No matter how good you are as a killer, if the survivors are not being altruistic then gens are gonna fly by, no matter how good you are. I never use to run NOED but after the Ruin nerf I consider the gloves have been taken off, and there is no reason for me to play nice anymore. It's so much fun when you are doing well and still all gens are done in 5-6min, the survivors are cocky af because they know under normal circumstances you will not stop them from escaping...Boom, surprise son, I have remember me and noed, ez4k and SOOO much salt. I play at rank 1 btw, both survivor and killer, while I don't use noed constantly, it is fun to put it on when I see 3 toolboxes and a flashlight.

  • @ModernFable said:

Borrowed Time, Decisive Strike, Unbreakable, and Adrenaline are some of the first things that come to mind.

So typical META perks in red ranks? Nothing new then.

  • Most of these are really good ideas and sound very reasonable/fun. I hope the devs look at this because this is some good stuff my dude. +rep

  • People gripe and moan about how I play as killer all the time lol. I play to 4k, not to pip not for BP but to 4k and thus as a result I am not beyond slugging, tunneling, etc. The funny thing that I find in most of my post game chats however is when I actually play nice because the survivors were not nearly as good as me and thus said "scummy" tactics were not required is where people complain the most. Punishing a survivor for unhooking right next to me, and the unhooked survivor tries to block for a BT hit is considered "camping and tunneling." My dude here is some advice: play the game for yourself, don't worry about the other team or if they had fun because 9 times out of 10 they will be doing the very same thing. You don't need to play like a jerk but don't worry what they think, salty people will always find something to get upset about.

  • I had a Lery's game the other day as Oni, super stressful gens done in 6min only had one person dead and two people still never hooked. I managed to kill one and slug two of the remaining survivors (two were ttv) I hook one at the exit gate and the moment I pick the other twitch up, next to the hooked guy, hooked guy kobes. I hook the other guy and go after the one who just kobed and the OTHER GUY KOBES AS WELL. Both of them had DS and both of them got to escape for free. When you get cucked by 4% TWICE in the same game. Needless to say that was a fat ENTITY DISPLEASED.

  • Sound issues for killers still a thing months in, but that DS bug fixed in a week lmfao.

  • No one is saying a Mori isn't bs just the same way a key is bs. The difference between the two is that the killer has to actually win the chase on you twice to get the kill, where as a key you actually don't need to touch a single gen to get away with. In fact just to test it out I escaped with a key after the killer wiped out my team and closed the hatch in my face. I depipped it was funny as hell, but also a reminder of why keys are more unbalanced than a mori. Stop comparing the two, one requires work (even if it isn't MUCH work) the other does not.

  • If I see a bunch of items I switch out my previously ruin exclusive perk slot for franklin's demise. God it is so funny when they lose their items, and they get hella annoyed too. If they pick it up again it just insures they lose more charges the next time I hit them, if they don't pick it up then that is what I was going for in the first place.

    Run calm spirit. It helps.

But that requires me not to run adrin, DS, DH, and unbreakable/IW. How can I run calm spirit without my crutches?

  • Coming from someone who loves to play fair and fun, switching between people giving the unhook guy a chance to recover, etc. I have been playing a lot more dirty after the ruin changes. I don't and have never needed Ruin to 4k and I still 4k consistently after the nerf, however I have to play a lot more like a jerk in order to keep enough pressure to stop gens from flying. I tunnel and slug very often now, which I dislike but I really feel forced if I want to win.

There is nothing mentioned in the patch notes. Is this a bug? He somehow is not able to do anything while placing snares until the snare is fully activated. Feels like the delay on doctor after a shock attack. This feels totally different now. Anyone else noticed that? Can we revert that please?

This is a bug my dude. This dev team has never been shy about giving us unnecessary and way over the top nerfs; if this was a nerf they would have told us. Also you gotta remember: when was the last time a major patch like this DIDN'T break something. Now how long will it take to get fixed is a different story entirely.

  • @MigrantTheGreat said:

    Killer: Very very fuckinging stressful

    Survivor: Too easy

So what you mean to say is: working as intended.

  • Killer and Survivor bugs in the same patch? Well we all know which out of those bugs is going to be fixed first don't we fellas? :3

  • The only reason I bring this up is because T3 is worse than T2, which is backwards. This change I put up here wouldn't actually buff the doc at all, it would just move his add on effects to different tiers and this make it worth getting people into T3. Other than killing people doc wants people at high lvls of madness as much as possible and I think this would help without actually making him stronger. But then again I would be VERY surprised if this post even got a dev reply let alone actually implemented.

  • T3 is worse than T2 now. I really wish they wouldn't of made snap out of it a free thing. I get why it resets you to T1 but they should of made it harder to get out of if that was the case, doc's add ons don't do anything to t1 so this really makes you want to get them into t2 and stop shocking people, which is silly and backwards imo. You should want everyone on T3 not T2.

  • No. They need only complain on the forums.

    I'm not writing "gg ez".

If the killer played "normal" and just had a bad game, I might gift them a kill at the end of the match. Killers can gift hatches, survivors can gift hooks.

I'm calling bull. I have played this game for years and never once had a survivor give me a kill if I did poorly. Sorry bud but this is just straight bs.

  • They should at least add hatch grabs for keys, that or remove keys entirely. It is really frustrating when a survivor is on the hatch tbagging even though you closed it and they just jump in cause you are actually powerless to stop them.

  • This is what happens when you upset half of your base. Doesn't matter if the changes are good or bad, the majority of the killer community either does or will feel like it is a terrible change and a bias one at that, again it doesn't matter if it is true or not, what matters is people's perception of it. If you read their original post when the changes for ruin/doc were announced it seemed extremely bias for survivors, that effects the people who main killer in a negative way. Like it or not, this kind of thing will make survivors have terrible que times, cause most killers will quit or change over. You made this bed, now you get to lie in it.

  • Xeno and Riply for sure, not even a fair question to be honest. Seriously I have wanted Alien/Riply for a long time, please make this happen BHVR.

  • While I know the people crying about this are ridiculous, with this dev teams' track record I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they gut Freddy at some point.

  • Just keep crying about him, I promise they will nerf him if you do.

  • Just start using noed, punish the gen rush. Also it's great for extra salt, M1 heroes think they are hot sh1t until they all get 1 shot downed then cry about it post chat. Oh well that's what people get when gen speed is junk and they butcher the only way to slow down early game. But hey guys don't worry, that pesky gatekeeper emblem will be changed to make up for gens being done 30s after the game starts lolololololol.

  • Z block is still a thing...

  • Since we are talking about a Ruin "rework" that I would be okay with here goes: Change it to be a normal perk instead of a hex, have the regression boosted up to 300% at lvl 3 and remove the fact it automatically works on generators, make it work only on things you kick or proc with things like Surge. I think this would make it a solid slow down perk, that works with other slow down perks, but isn't oppressive by itself. On a side note, can we make Huntress Lullaby not a hex as well? I can't see that perk being oppressive as it currently is, even if it wasn't a hex, it just requires you to pay attention more.

  • The 3 second stun the doc has not only is it unbalanced and seriously needs to be changed, but it feels like absolute crap; you just stand there hitting M1 over and over and nothing happens. Seriously 3 seconds is way way way to long. Static blast is alright, but the 3 second stun is enough by itself to make doc entirely unfun to play, and it makes him weak. The snap out of it changes should not drop you below t2 either in my opinion, I think you should not be able to go below t2 like it currently is on live, but other than that they are okay nerfs.

  • @Almo said:

New Ruin is extremely powerful late game. It must be a Hex Perk, or it would be OP as hell.

Late game and Hex don't go together. I don't know what game you play but my hex totems never last more than 2-3min, and that is a very VERY long duration for hex perks.

  • @Aztreonam78 said:

    Holy crap.

I only now realized that Surveillance will highlight ruined gens constantly!

Start the game - run to yellow gen. It seems to be really insane information! You'll be always awarned about Survivors doing gens.

I really want to try this combo!

Yeah it's gonna be a fantastic combo, for the first 25 seconds of the game before your ruin breaks :)

  • @Divinitye9 said:

That's behavior's theory. A foolish theory, but theirs nonetheless.

It's not a theory, it's the made up excuse to nerf the perk into oblivion. They have wanted to nerf ruin for a long time, my guess is they just lacked a good excuse for it. Cause with what they said they can just pretend that no one will see this as a bull nerf "see we fixed the main reason you had to use this! it's not a nerf it's a change!!!"

  • Yes there are, in fact, nearly every killer in the game is going to be a no-ruin killer now, because the perk is TRASH.

  • It isn't a second delay after shocking people, it's 3 seconds, gives the survivor enough time to camp the pallet and throw it on your face before you can hit them lol. Your power stuns you longer than it stuns the survivor, this dev team really makes me laugh. This is a nerf to the doc, not a buff my guy. Also snap out of it regresses you to madness t1 not t2, another nerf. Also it is far easier to snap out of it since it is like healing now, you can finish it later.

Here you are, the leaked notes, which are very likely to be accurate based on past leaks. https://imgur.com/a/9bipeqm

When moris get balanced we can do something about hatch

Hatch is in every game no matter what, a mori is not.

  • They do it to ignore the EGC countdown, basically making it useless. Tbh there needs to be a decay on door progress if left alone long enough, but that will never happy so don't get your hopes up.

  • Short answer: Yes gen speed is way to fast. Biggest problem is that it doesn't seem to be balanced around anything other than 1 survivor spending 80 seconds on a gen, which is almost never the case. You can cut a gen down to less than 30 seconds to finish from start to finish if you want, even with ruin.

  • Oni is just a worse-in-every-way Billy. Just play Billy, Oni is just a weaker version of him in every aspect.

  • Because the game is entirely balanced in their favor and add on top of the fact that most of them have a sick up their ass. It's easy to talk ######### when everything goes your way all the time.

  • Oni is trash, I never get hit by his ability anymore, you just sound like you have no idea how to turn 45+ degrees.

  • Uh keys are balanced my dude. An item that lets you have a free escape with 0 counterplay is fine, it's a survivor item after all so it's balanced. Now a mori on the other hand, those are OP and need to be nerfed to only be cosmetic items for the final hook.

Alright to be serious though, don't get your hopes up on it being nerfed my dude, the devs are very survivor biased even if they swear up and down that they are not. Minor nerf to BL, absolutely butcher the new killer. Bug that screws a survivor: fixed in no longer than a week. Bug that makes a killer very clunky and sucks for them (sound bug, spirit/wraith lunge post power) those take months to fix. I mean take a look at how long it took them to rework Freddy, a killer who was so trash that he got his own tier on the killer scale. Survivors get nerfs here and there sure, but it is almost always either extremely minor (Balanced Landing) or something that never should have existed in the first place (Mettle of Man.)

Seriously my dude don't stress about keys, they are very likely here to stay.

  • Never. Do the survivors let me get a few hooks when I got completely rolled? No they don't and I don't show mercy when I roll them. Also the only time I ever get a GG from survivors is when they win, bunch of toxic little turds get no free escape from me, well unless they are a baby survivor who is clearly learning the game, I'll let them go most of the time but experienced survivors nope.
