I think you're forgetting Whispers is in the game, again a decent perk, and again, balanced. Much like Spine Chill, you don't know where the survivors are, only that they're nearby. From your example, you seem to be under the impression that Spine Chill shows you the exact location of killers at all times, which couldn't be further from the truth.
The point I was trying to make is that the counter play to my imaginary perk is the same as spine chill. Just awkwardly move towards objectives or suffer the consequences.

I did not understand Mikaela part... What's wrong with my girl 😐️
they need to sell more CoH as it is basically the only reason to get her

It's almost like the perk can be pretty much hard countered by moonwalking
I have an idea for a new universal killer perk. I call it eyes on the prize:
If a survivor faces a generator or hooked survivor that is within 36 meters of them, their aura is revealed to the killer. The killer also gains 9% bonus to pick up, hooking, vaulting and pallet breaking speed while this effect is active.
It's totally fair and balanced, just moonwalk if you go for an unhook and never look at gens 4head
-
The event is fun.
Lots of bps and nice discounts on basically every character except Mikaela (for obvious reasons).
Daily shrines are really good especially for new players.
The event tome with the cosmetics for dredge and haddie is nice as well (after they adjusted the previously impossible community challenges).
The masks are more unique than the crowns, so I see that as another improvement.
-
You can just turn it off in the settings menu. I do agree that a console exclusive cross play would be ideal, but we'll never get that
-
I want to, but dredge's event cosmetic set isn't fully available until next week
-
Prove thyself and unbreakable. I still think that once you use unbreakable to pick yourself up, it should get completely disabled. Not just the ability to fully recover, but also the increased recovery speed
-
That's so good to hear. Now the cosmetic might actually be obtainable.
-
The bar was set way too high. 2 full cosmetic sets that might as well not be in the game because only hackers will have access to them? Wonderful.

If every active player right now contributes their allotted 40... that's still only around 3-4million. The challenge is for 30 million.
The target is way off, everyone needs to kick around 400 gens to complete this.
Yeah, we were set up to fail. Or they accidentally added one 0 too many and can't be bothered to change it.

Doesn't need to with the ability to leave a husk to teleport back to and still move around as well as the amount of lockers there are
If you genuinely think that dredge's remnant is as powerful as nurse's blinks, then you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

We've got dredge moving at normal speed and can teleport why not
Because dredge can't go through walls instantly
-
You don't have to kick gens. I always use eruption, surge and pain resonance for challenges like this because they automatically damage gens.
But I do agree that we won't finish this challenge.
-
Why do anything when death comes for all of us anyway?
-
Both sides do it. I just finished a game with 4 bnps, 3 prove thyselves, 1 CoH, 4 ds, 4 bt, 4 dh. Game lasted maybe 4-5 minutes or so. Players trying their hardest during events happens literally every time.
-
I didn't notice a difference
-
Dredge and Haddie both get a full cosmetic set that is unlocked through the tome.
Then there are the invitations, which you have to collect during trials. They unlock a unique mask for certain survivors and killers.
-
Dead dawg isn't too bad. Main building is very survivor sided, but otherwise there aren't many survivor sided spots on this map
Corn blindness is horrible and cowshed is just one giant intertwined loop. I hate cold wind with a passion.
RPD is just a horrible map for dbd, but this goes for both sides.
Eyrie of crows is also obnoxious with its loop placement. Very easy to chain and huge map too.
Garden of joy tries to bring back infinities by making a main building with multiple god windows. Shack seamlessly connects to like 3 other loops and the shrubbery hitboxes are a nightmare for projectile killers as well as leatherface and hillbilly.
Gideon god pallet factory is quite simply a joke because you can't take 5 steps before running into yet another god pallet.
-
Resident evil was really cool. I love nemesis and we got 4 iconic resident evil survivors. The perks are meh but lethal pursuer is very useful on certain killers and flashing and blast mine are fun in meme builds.
I'm kind of conflicted on how to rate pinhead. His design is really cool and his perks, while not meta, are all quite decent. It's just that his box is good against solos and useless against swfs and his possessed chains are really hard to use and the effect isn't great even if you land it.
Mikaela looks neat and shadow step and clairvoyance are decent perks. However, she introduced CoH, so I don't like her.
Artist is one of my favorite killers. One of the best visual designs in the game, good perks and good power, though I can see why some people don't like her. Jonah is ok. Corrective action is trash but exponential and overcome are solid, if a bit niche.
Yoichi is my favorite survivor and I love him. Unfortunately, parental guidance was nerfed (which I don't understand at all) and his other perks aren't great. Onryo is the other way around. Her perks are actually decent, but she herself is hilariously bad. She needs buffs asap
-
AFK'ing is already reportable, however no one bothers to do it because the report system is atrocious
-
skill issue
-
I'll save them. Eventually, there will come a time when I'll need a lot of bps fast and since we can't stockpile bps, it's pointless to burn cakes now when I know I'll need them later
-
I think that corn maps and the swamp are just as bad if not worse when it comes to locker distribution
-
There have been a lot of horribly unbalanced and abusable suggestions on these forums, but I think this one deserves an award for being the worst I've seen so far. Congratulations.
-
with the new mori changes coming later this year, the last survivor will just be insta mori'd and we'll never have this discussion again
-
The zombie AI needs to be fixed and some useless add ons like the STARS combat manual need to be reworked, but otherwise he is fine. Not the best but not bad either
-
yes, but you need swf to do it, solos can't coordinate like that
-
I like it. Usually you don't see moris unless you specifically bring a perk or an offering. With this new change, they will become something you see more often and that's fine because a lot of them, especially the newer ones, are really cool
-
No, but they need to rein in the power of swfs. It's blatantly obvious that swf grants major advantages and this needs to be addressed.
-
Survivors would just go afk which would have the same effect on the match
-
Victor is a power, not a killer
-
Git gud

Threads like this are the exact reason why the balance in this game is such a joke.
Too true; also op is one of those "everyone who disagrees with me is a toxic killer main" types of people, who can't be argued with, so anything we say here is pointless anyway
-
Isn't it quite telling how every killer since blight, with the single exception being onryo, has been labelled "op", "unfun", "boring", "unbalanced", "no skill", etc. by survivors?
I agree with you, it has been released for less than a week and we can already see people asking for unnecessary nerfs, despite not even knowing how to play against it. The only complaint I can kind of see (especially since I'm on switch and the game is already super dark on there) is that nightfall MIGHT be a bit too dark on certain maps, but everything else about it is fine. You can just not mindlessly run around pallets or sit on gens and not pay attention to your surroundings.

Firstly, the animation of the installation of portals is very poorly done, it looks like a shapeless biomass and it is not at all clear what it is doing there, especially during darkness. Secondly, it is a killer with a speed of 4.6, very often the survivors simply do not have the opportunity to be dragged into another loop. Thirdly, his bloodlust does not reset during the installation of portals!
bloodlust not being cancelled is a bug, 4.6 is the standard movement speed and, as artist has proven, still allows survivors to w key to the next loop and if it places a remnant, it slows down so much that it even survivors notice that it is going considerably slower, which is your cue to go to the next loop. Also if you are in a dead zone and can't reach another loop, that is the point of a dead zone.

I would even be ashamed to play for a new killer, it's too easy. I play for Pyramid Head, Legion, Doctor, Shooter, Freddy (I played before their nerf), Clown, Pig, Demogorgon, Cannibal, Nemesis, Pinhead. All these killers have a fair counterplay, if the killer is an anti-cycle, then he is restricted in movement. But dirt is an anti-cycle, mobility, passive braking, and all this in one character, without any drawbacks. I play as both killers and survivors, I see that his set is insanely overloaded!
Dredge also slows down tremendously when using anti-loop? Do you even know what you're talking about or is this just pointless whining?
-
Skill issue; get good. Counters exist. Chain loops, break line of sight and juke, touch the remnant, W key away, etc.
Nightfall could be but less dark.
Lockers can be locked but you need to be strategic about it.
Pay attention when in chase to not get cut off by a teleport.
-
A weird smoke comes out of a locker if dredge stays in for longer than 8 seconds to warn survivors so it's worse at camping than a wraith standing still
-
Licensed killers aren't all weak. Pyramid head, nemesis, pinhead, leatherface and demogorgon are all very decent. I think they don't want to make licensed killers too strong since this could be labelled as pay to win.
-
Swf will win unless the killer is a god nurse or god blight with their best add ons
-
I agree with everything except the remnant nerf. Chaining loops, pre dropping and W keying are already pretty strong counters because of the massive movement speed penalty dredge gets while upholding the remnant and unlike killers like artist it also can't get hits over pallets and windows. So the counterplay is already there.
-
Maybe they could make perk that allows you to destroy pallets that are still up, but it would need some serious prerequisites to be balanced
-
@BenZ0 said:
Is that some kind of new trend? I mean this has been said against LITERALLY EVERY single new Killer the past year.
No, onryo is "fine" in the eyes of people who make post like this
-
No, they shouldn't be reworked just because they are stealth killers. However, I do think that most stealth killers need some buffs, especially onryo.
-
What? You don't think 3 god windows and a god pallet is a fair and balanced structure? The windows on garden of joy are also just low enough that you don't suffer from fall stagger and because they give so much distance you can slow vault them so the fun never ends.
-
False reports fall under "abusing the report system" which can get you banned. A killer playing a normal game, even if someone dc'd, is not a reportable offense according to the official rules no matter how much you try to stretch and twist the definition of unsportsmanlike behavior.
Dc'ing is an offense, but you don't have to report it, as they have an automatic dc detection that punishes the player.
-
Skill issue; have you tried getting good or is your first instinct going to the forum to whine?
-
if you are having trouble (even though it's not that bad) try either memorizing the map layout or bring windows of opportunity, which is a seriously underrated perk in soloq and completely counters nightfall
-
most likely a bug (if it's true, I haven't experienced it yet), powers always cancel bloodlust
-
I like them; they are supposed to be gross and unsettling. It's a shambling mound of darkness and human remains, the noises are very fitting
