I can only speak for myself, but if I don't enjoy being camped or tunneled as a survivor, I would be a massive hypocrite if I did just that as killer. I just treat others the way I would like to be treated and I don't care if they don't acknowledge that.
-
Personally, I don't see it happening that often, unless the killer is skull merchant, onryo or pinhead, in which case I'm not really blaming my teammates for wanting to go next.
-
the only thing xenomorph needs right now is a bug fix because the tail hitbox is broken

If it's like you describe, that's what I'm afraid of. it will encourage players to be more competitive, every match vs stronger build, every match burning their stronger map offering, every match going againts Nurse-Blight or Strong SWF team just to keep their Win-Rate at the top.
This already happens, so it wouldn't change anything
-
What do you mean? That nurse was obviously playing hard mode because she wasn't stacking 4 slowdown perks to stop all the filthy gen rushers /s
-
If you're only having fun if you get a 4k at 5 gens, then yes, there is no point in playing anything but nurse or blight with the most broken add ons and perks.
I can only speak for myself, but I play killers that I enjoy. Dredge is my favorite and I don't care that I can't win 99% of my games. I usually have fun and that's what matters most.
-
It's just because the tail hitbox is currently bugged. Xenomorph is no nurse or blight but it's definitely one of the better killers in the game and doesn't need a huge buff like finite turrets.

Then doesn't this make PTS useless?
It does. It's only good if you're trying to break a strong 3 gen or when it's time to do the final gen. Otherwise you're almost always better off working on separate gens.
-
They enabled the degenerate 3 gen kick meta. They had to be nerfed hard. Any buff would just bring that meta back and that's one of the last things this game needs.
-
It's the BHVR way of doing things. Every strong perk is going straight into the trash after a balance update because they don't make slight changes.
-
Hillbilly exists
-
No longer than 10 minutes. Exp gain caps at 10 minutes so every game lasting longer than that is a waste of time.
-
They literally took doctor's static blast, buffed it and made it into a perk. Maybe we'll get legion's frenzy or plague's infection as a perk next chapter.
-
The worst perk variety was during the 3 gen meta. Literally every killer was running cob/eruption/overcharge and a filler perk.
For survivors, the worst perk variety was very early in the games life cycle. You HAD to bring BT, so survivors were basically playing with 3 perk slots, and those 3 were usually ds/ub/dh

The counter to spirit is the same thing you need to be a pro spirit: a good headset. I agree, it's incredibly dumb to have a character that punishes you for making the foolish mistake of playing without a good headset but BHVR thinks it ok.
-
The only boon that was worth the time investment was old coh. Every other boon is bad and I think BHVR has realized this and decided to just not make more boons.
-
Same here. I haven't had any crashes in a long time but just today, I got dc'd twice. One was a "normal" disconnected from dedicated servers dc and the other one was this end of match dc.
-
It happened to me at the end of a farming match, so I don't think it's cheaters, but some serious server issues.
-
Some people can only have fun if they are winning, so if an event isn't making them win more, it's boring/unbalanced/etc.
-
Genuinely hope that they'll keep it as a post game thing only. Whenever I'm in a lobby with a p100 player, a lot of killers dodge the lobby which messes with the sbmm system

nah spirit does take some skill like blight and nurse but as caipt said she already has downsides built into her power
The "skill" you need to play spirit is a good headset

We've cycled back to the 2018 arguments.
"Don't want to be mori'd after a single hook? Just don't go down 4head."
the forums are evolving, just backwards
-
Survivors should start the game on hooks in the basement. This way killers might actually be able to get some pressure. It would also be a soft counter to gen rushing.
-
@Davinki said:
Also I feel like there should be counter play a way to stop or prevent this.
There is a counter: don't get hit, don't be injured and don't get hooked. Just getting nightfall through teleporting takes ages and is borderline throwing.
-
Issue is dead dawg. You could open up an infinite on that map. Dumb killers do that from time to time, but giving the survivor this ability would be too strong. On every other map the perk would be useless because you'd be helping the killer.
-
She still sucks to play against but at the very least she can no longer stall the game for an hour with minimal effort
-
Whenever I have a healing challenge I play as Rebecca with botany knowledge, empathy, we'll make it and empathic connection. I want to make it abundantly clear that this build is trash, but it gets the challenge done
-
Wait, you're getting paid to play killer?

I edited it

You don't need to make survivors scream.
You can interrupt them yourself.
But you physically have to be there to interrupt them meaning you can't possibly do something else. Full scream build passively does that for you, giving you plenty of time to do other things
-
It now has a similar problem like old shelter woods. A good portion of the map is just a dead zone.
-
The skins are pretty gross, so I guess that counts as body horror
-
We don't need tier 4 bamboozle. Tier 3 is usually sufficient.
-
Aside from skull merchant (because I think everyone hates her), condemned slugging onryo and scream build pig. Most obnoxious and boring thing to go against.
-
They need to make it so haste doesn't stack. Only the highest active value is applied. Then, they can actually introduce a lot more interesting haste perks without worrying that people will just run 4 of them and run around at 500% movement speed.
-
Just out of sheer curiosity: Which perks from Jill and Ada are "powerful" in your opinion?
-
Nurse and blight use this perk extremely well. Once you scream, they are basically already next to you.
Pig can force trap kills with this + face the darkness
Unlike other info perks (bbq/lethal pursuer/floods of rage) you can't really hide from it unless you bring the useless perk calm spirit (which STILL has a downside despite being bad). The killer also has full control over the activation of the perk and the cooldown is pretty short considering how good the perk is. It's so baffling how oppression, a much weaker perk, has an 80 second cooldown, but ultimate weapon only needs 30 seconds.

Do we really need an Anti Face Camp System?
Yes
But can't you see how skillfully the killer is outplaying you in those situations?
-
You don't. You pray that the spirit player is bad or that you have a god pallet/god window nearby to buy you a bit more time.
-
Pog log is not an infinite. Also, pog log usually spawns at the very edges of the map, so even if you get looped till the window blocks, you get a hit almost every time after that because no tile is nearby. And this is all ignoring blood lust and killer powers that can deal with loops.
-
It's still nurse/blight with add ons -> swf -> killer -> soloq
-
I try my best to avoid tunneling. I don't like it as survivor so I don't do it as killer.
-
Technically, undying had part of its aura reveal nerfed. It used to work on both lit and dull totems but now it only works on dulls.
-
I'm not a cheater or someone who plays dirty, but I don't like people sticking their noses into stuff that doesn't concern them, so whenever I get the option to hide my information, I do that.
-
It's always funny when the killer activates your blast mine
Also, the wesker visual bug, where it looks like the survivor is driving an invisible car after a hit, never fails to make me laugh because it looks so ridiculous
-
Since I like getting lots of bp I prefer killer. Even if I have a bad game as killer I usually still get 25k+ bp. Meanwhile, a bad game as survivor can realistically end with you getting less than 10k bp.
-
I choose male characters in almost every game I play. I just find it easier to immerse myself in a game while playing as a dude. But as you said, female survivors have an advantage in dbd.

I just like how they look. That is basically the only thing that matters when picking a survivor.
