Absolutely agreed. Shrinking maps, creating huge dead zones and replacing established tiles like jungle gyms with new, incredibly weak "tiles" that are barely playable is the unfortunate way that BHVR is reworking maps. Haddonfield is probably the "best" (worst?) example of this trend.

Hope it gets nerfed soon. For a "training wheels" perk, it's insanely high pick rate must mean a massive portion of the playerbase for this 8 year old game are new players!
Smashing the skill gap between mediocre and good survivors isn't something desirable. It's part of what makes mmr matchmaking a nightmare for solo queue. And it further removes skill expression from the game.
It's high pick rate mainly shows that a large part of the player base plays soloq. Even experienced players that know how pallet/tile spawn logic works simply can't know which pallets have been used up by teammates.

It's 43% ER at High MMR vs 48%.
I've been out of school for a bit, but I'm fairly confident that isn't 10%
No, you see the difference might initially appear to be "only" 5%, but using extremely advanced maths, we can see that 5% is actually 10.41% of 48% and a staggering 11.63% of 43%, so if we add those 2 numbers we get 22.04 and if we find the square root of that number, we can come to the (very correct) conclusion that swf escape rate is actually 46.9% higher than soloq escape rate, which puts them at a 90% escape rate, so obviously swfs need to be perma banned from dbd for having such an insane advantage and being broken /s
-
People like you are one of the main reasons why soloq sucks so hard. One of the main strengths of swfs is that the players actually play like a team and support each other.
-
New Haddonfield. Absolutely atrocious map with massive dead zones and weak loops
-
That's how map reworks work. You simply take a map and:
Shrink the map
Insert huge dead zones
Remove all windows that are even remotely decent
Create new, much weaker versions of jungle gyms
And presto, you have a reworked map
-
Or, better idea, we just get rid off map offerings in general. Nothing good ever came out of them, so removing them would be ideal.
-
Better locker spawns and more lockers in general on some maps and maybe slightly faster teleporting speed outside of nightfall would be all it really needs.

but isn't running at killer to get yourself killed ASAP/staying AFK all match - bannable offenses?
How do you verify that they intentionally ran at the killer to die and weren't just confused/unlucky/tunneled/bad at the game/etc.? This is exactly what people mean when they say there are other ways to leave the game that can't reliably be tracked by a system.
-
Myers also shouldn't have add ons that allow him to instantly mori any survivor he pleases. His entire kit + add ons is extremely outdated and needs major reworking.
-
I proposed that idea specifically for grim embrace and pain res and got told that it would "kill the perks and variety". I actually like the idea. Tunneling and stacking slowdowns are the 2 most effective strats available, so I think they should be (somewhat) mutually exclusive.
-
It's blatantly obvious that BHVR, being a company, only cares about the cash cow female survivors when it comes to high quality skins.
-
I would assume that skins and rifts are classified as "dlc" for the sake of cross progression
-
After getting unhooked and while still having the "endurance" status symbol on my screen, endurance itself was not applied and the killer could immediately down me again. Happened with multiple killers on multiple maps.
-
Me when I sprout 3 fleshy tendrils out of my back and start disintegrating people once society collapses because I saw someone do that in a video game
-
It's only op in combination with franklin's demise, so much like old bu + ftp, all they really need to do is remove the synergy
-
Most likely just quirky loading screen nonsense
-
Dull merchant and wraith both bore me to sleep
Hillbilly's and hag's constant breathing/gurgling noises drive me insane, so I don't play them either
Edit. forgot to mention trickster. I just don't like his entire theme and his giggling is annoying.
-
It sounds fun in theory but I am fairly sure that in practice it will end up like light's out. Massively killer sided and dead after a few days because survivors won't queue up for an even more unbalanced game mode.
-
Original: Gabriel. His cosmetics may be trash, but he is quite handsome and maybe someday he'll get actually good cosmetics
Licensed: Carlos (so technically Leon)
-
Then just don't do the invocation? It's trash anyway, so I don't even know why you'd want to actually activate it.

gasp as a Jeff main I'm insulted of you to such monstrous things. But I would want to know why you dislike him since you did catch my eye.
Well, I think he's the ugliest male survivor we currently have in game and his injured/wiggling noises are imo the most obnoxious and annoying ones.
-
Male: Jeff
Female: Feng
-
Gen rushing is 4 players with their entire build dedicated solely to gen progress doing gens in record time and not doing anything else (healing, unhooking, totems, etc.) until it becomes absolutely necessary.
-
The slow pace of iri shards gain is intentional since every purchase made with iri shards wasn't made with auric cells and therefore the devs get nothing out if it.
-
The anniversary survivor experience is so atrocious that I'd rather wait an eternity in the lobby to start a killer game than quickly hop on a survivor game.
-
Same for Gabriel. His twitch shirt also has a unique design
-
Just because a niche perks exists that would counter a former meta perk doesn't mean that said former meta perk needs to be buffed again.
This would be like saying that the mft nerf can be reverted now because languid touch exists.
-
Because it is by far the easiest way to win. It doesn't require a lot of if any skill and gets great results against most survivors in public matches.
-
Gabriel probably has to suffer because some people were upset that Vittorio wasn't exclusively receiving medieval cosmetics, so now Gabriel will only get futuristic skins.
-
Blights (and nurses) are mainly used by sweatlords with 4 slowdowns, a map offering and, of course, tunneling at 5 gens and a lot of slugging
-
The problem is not only the extremely high number but also the (not even explained) fact that you need to have the challenge selected at all times if you wish to continue to contribute.
However, that means that you can no longer do any other challenges. If you already have every tome at 100% that's not really an issue, but the vast majority of the playerbase would rather progress other uncompleted tome challenges than just do one community challenge over and over again with no reward.
-
From my experience, morning games tend to be a lot more casual than evening games. The sweatiness of players seemingly increases over the day, or maybe I'm just crazy.
-
As killer? Absolutely.
As survivor? It's about as pleasant as bashing your head against a concrete wall.
-
It's less obnoxious than the exposed effect last year, but still pretty annoying. Fortunately, this year we have separate game modes.
-
If you don't care about the fun of the other side, you really shouldn't be surprised if they don't care about yours either
-
Killers wouldn't even bother changing their builds as they just run as many slowdowns as possible and survivors would need to switch out 1 perk. So basically, you're just playing a standard match of dbd.
-
They just recently standardized cosmetic prices. 7200 iri shards is the norm for 1 purple rarity cosmetic piece. I don't see why they'd change that.
Also, Adam is only free on some console versions, as far as I know at least, so he isn't comparable to the 4 original survivors, as he is DLC and much like most other DLC characters, he doesn't have free cosmetics.
-
Why not just make no mither (minus the upsides, of course) base kit?
-
Who needs counterplay anyway, right?

Well I don't think this elf embodies the trans representation people have been asking for. Following the drama of The Unknown killer we get Jeryl 2.0.
Probably because she's not meant to be a trans character? Nothing in her lore even implies that. She's just a female elf.
-
Its only purpose is to notify tunnelers that it's tunneling time.
-
It's still a throwing perk
-
you're not supposed to m1 turrets, you have a ranged attack for that. Also, turrets are necessary as xenomorph chases would be unbearable if there was no way to disable the tail.
-
still a trash tier perk
-
If only he had some casual pants to wear with the hoodie or the iron maiden shirt...
-
I'll try it out but just from reading the patch notes, mage hand might just be the new scamper
-
I look at my available dailies and my remaining tome challenges.

Why can't niche/meme perks exist?
We get 3/6 new survivor perks every chapter, they can't all be meta, in fact we're lucky if we get one decent perk and 2 trash perks. Making some of them have niche effects that require specific setups, or straight up meme/challenge perks, is a neat way to make these trash perks actually useful.
Chaos Shuffle is it's own thing, and it's all in the name. No one should be taking games seriously in this game mode, those who do are the problem here.
A perk that is not only self sabotaging but also dragging down the team should not exist in a team focused game.
Meme perks can exist, but no mither isn't a meme perk, it's a throwing perk. All of Cage's perks fit the meme description perfectly and they don't make you cripple yourself.
Edit: I'm also not saying that no mither needs to be the next big meta perk. I just want the perk to not be horrible. Even if it gets changed to be useless like corrective action, it would still be a massive improvement over its current iteration.

It's amusing how with Chaos Shuffle being around, these threads about No Mither are popping up a lot all of a sudden... no one cared 2 weeks ago xD
Because no one uses this throwing perk in normal games. Now that people are reminded that a perk that is actively detrimental exists, they are rightfully asking for this terrible perk to be changed. It's mere existence can ruin chaos shuffle games before they have even started.
