When I first played this map I felt so amazed by the little circus. There’s the burnt out chapel which is scary enough on its own, but then the circus is also here. It’s so creepy like exploring an abandoned fairground almost. I love all the small details. It feels like a bad vacation. But obviously in a good scary kind of way.
-
Massive air of foreboding. Everything is burnt and the there’s (almost) no way out. Constantly checking in and out of the asylum as you escape the Killer. Story wise are we the Survivors patients? Is the Killer a former patient too?
Thematically it’s amazing. Being trapped in the Asylum grounds with the Killer is classic.
-
Love the map. Just straight cornfields and a Killer Shack. I wish the corn was denser but overall a thematic success in delivering a “cornfield” stage for horror.
-
Tone wise it feels highly secluded. Very middle of nowhere vibes.
-
The cowshed feels like the middle of nowhere. There’s a peaceful quiet to it.
-
The abattoir is so gross. The main building definitely evokes the feeling of an operation where things are worked on.
-
The aesthetics of the house itself are so nasty, disgusting, and gross. It definitely triggers a type of germaphobia when I play it.
So what I mean is: It’s a massive success in horror.

You jave to remember that those buffs happened after the biggest nerfs all around to perks for survivors and certain basekit buffs to killers. So the buffs were probably to stabilize survivors. But they had been stronger initially.
If i lose my leg tomorrow and I got a wheelchair, it would be better than being one legged. But not better than when I had both legs initially. It's the same thing for survivor. The buffs survivors get are essentially tweaks, not real buffs. Because the state pf the game remaina the same. If the killrate is still 60% across the board, then the buffs dont really have any effect. The buffs and nerfa are really a meta shift to keep things fresh .
When people ask for buffs, whether that is killer or survivor, they rarely adk for shifts. Instead what they ask for is different results to what is going on now. When people were happy about the anti-camp mechanic, thry thought camping in general would become weaker. Not that camping would remain as strong or that the advantage camping gives killers would shift to a different strategy (say tunelling).
On top of rhat map changes etc. hurt solo survivors who can only rely on themselves, not SWF. So basically you get constant nerfs to solo survivors, that barely touch SWF. It's expected that solo would bleed as a result because most of their tools are taken away so the survivor's gameplan has to shift to a more team oriented one, thereby encouraging SWF.
Perhaps the only way to give strengths to solo survivors is to buff players who play solo. I think in league when you played duo rank, you'd get somewhat better opponents MMR wise because you're supposed to have an advantGe as duo. Maybe they could do some thing similar for solo's where they can get extra info, such as whoch killer they are up against and the teams loadout. SWF's wont get those benefits for obvious reasons
You bring up highly fascinating points.
I think you’re completely right.
-
Yes. 100% absolutely.

All of these 'mutations' to use a left 4 dead term should be available in customs if people want to mess about. Occasionally the 'mutation' should be available to play in the main game from a bunch available that get added to.
That would be really neat, like a rotating “mutations” mode. I would LOVE that!

I would support it, as long as Freddy was made available.
That sure felt like a slap to the face after being hyped for Lights Out.
I felt so bad for everyone who loves playing as Freddy.
-
Pure capability wise I believe it is Survivor sided. Like if both roles play perfect it’s Survivor sided and I kind of agree that it should be.
It doesn’t make sense if the Survivors can’t escape at all. But it should be just barely.

Seems out of touch doesn’t it? I think this thread, the people in it, and the responses are a perfect example of why this game is bleeding players.
Survivors are supposed to bleed.

Honestly, until I came across this thread, I thought I was a bit too harsh on people. However, this video proves that Survivor is not taking advantage of maps that are biased in favor and disadvantage, and survivors have made enough mistakes against Region to allow the end with fourth generation on this map.
This is a nightmare. Even in the best region in the world, it is impossible to achieve a 4-generation match on this map unless all the survivors are beginners. However, there are so many people who look at this result and complain that the killer is too strong. Someone please tell me this is a joke. I don't want to believe it.
This is no joke. This is the reality.

Are you guys at least wearing your aluminiun hats when posting stuff like this, like there is this secret killer main society in McCotes basement with him wearing dark robes: "Brothers, we are going to buff DS, but no worries we have a plan!"
Or maybe the killer main circle captured his hamster and holds it hostage "You shall not buff DS, here is the little guys small toe"
😂
Why are you telling them all of the Killer secrets?! 😳
-
Never.
It will never be enough until the Survivors can take the Killer’s blood and make the Killer run around with a little dunce cap and a foam bat that gives the Survivors permanent stacking haste and 1,000,000 extra bloodpoints per hit.
Realistically only time will tell depending on kill rates after buffs/nerfs and new releases.

Hello,
I'm glad that no one can see their own MMR. I think otherwise total chaos would break out and a toxic city would be inevitable. There are already a lot of streamers and players who think they have a high MMR or are imagining it. Last weekend was by far the sweatiest weekend I've ever played. To be honest, I don't even know if it was because of my MMR. I also don't know if I'm high, medium or low, but what bothers me is what Dead by Daylight has become.
This game just doesn't compare to 2016 anymore and I get that, but Dead by Daylight is just a race now. Genrush versus tunneling. That's all this game is anymore.
A chase or a fun build only works against weak opponents now, because otherwise the generators fly around your ears and the game is over in 5 minutes. You can no longer play normally and I find that sad.
If you want to level up, you have to play a meta build, and that's frustrating. It's bad enough that there's a meta in a game, and YT and Twitch have contributed a lot to that. There's just too much copying going on, and the result is a boring disaster. But that's just my opinion
Do you agree that DBD has become too fast, or am I the only one with this opinion?
Yes I completely agree the game has gotten too fast. I would love for the game to be slowed down some more.
You’re definitely not the only one who feels this way.
Good luck out there 💪

The invocation certainly does. I wish it had a stronger effect.
I have to wait and try it out but absolutely. But only if Unknown gets a buff 😉
I’M KIDDING! 😂
But for reals I really am excited to try a new playstyle. From what I can see the broken status effect may be overkill though.
But then again… lol jk jk

Well, there’s blood dripping from the ceiling so there’s slip and infection hazards. There’s probably splinters and rusty metal everywhere so pretty dangerous.
In all seriousness it’s a dead end so while it may waste the Killer’s time it’s still a death trap for a Survivor.

I’m actually very excited for the new chapter 😊 The Killer is so scary!!! 💀
Plus Sable is just pure awesome 🤩 I can’t wait to use the new perks.

I looked up Harvestella (I have heard of it before but never seen game footage), and OH MY GOSH I love the idea of a Final Fantasy-esque faming sim! I don't think I have anything that could run a game like that right now without throwing a fit, but it is gorgeous!
Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a really nice game and with a great (and sometimes, heartbreaking) story. And glad to hear you are enjoying Cult of the Lamb! Don't forget when a follower asks to eat a bowl of... um... 💩... there are two recipes that call for the ingredient... make sure its not the one with the 75% change to kill the follower 😅During my first playthrough, I was wondering why I had many more follower graves than others I saw playing the game... lesson learned! rofl
And Paleo Pines is incredible! Once you are out of the (very short) tutorial, you get quests and aside from that, can go and do almost anything from the get-go.
I followed your advice. Although, now that I can compost bodies well…. 😬

A tunneling killer puts no pressure on gens. If survivors are too afraid to do gens, well...
Yes, killers can bring perks to delay gens, but survivors can bring stuff to speed up gens, extend chases and increase survival.
A killer that wants to tunnel will always keep an eye on the hook and a hook stage takes 60 seconds. There is no need to unhook within 5 to 10 seconds, especially if the killer is still near. There is also no need to heal directly under the hook, get some distance and heal inside the next jungle gym. Even killers that dont tunnel immediately will return to the hook if they dont find anyone else.
Why does the killer not find anyone else to chase? Because even nowadays in most matches 2 survivors are instantly hiding near the hook as soon as the killer picks up. Again, no gen pressure. And dont try to convince me otherwise, I've been running Bond nonstop for over 6 years. Stick to your gens!
One last thing, survivors are at their stongest at the beginning of the match and WoO is the most popular survivor perk. There is no excuse to hide for minutes at the start until the killer finds someone else, this is lost time to pressure gens that the survivors will never get back. Somebody will get found, use this time when you are most powerfull.
Against decently experienced survivors, a hard tunneling killer should get one kill, maybe another during endgame. But one survivor dead at 4 or 5 gens, that's the survivors fault.
Incredibly well said 👏👏👏
-
Other Survivors are a bigger detriment to survival than even the killer lol

Yeah that set up is broken. Chapel and sanctum have a bad habit of spawning Jungle gyms or 4 lanes right outside shack.
it Should be the next map up for a rework after swamp & Haddonfield. The main building is full of bad vaults that have multiple drop points near each of them. Bottom three map for Survivor if you ask me
You should know because you’re a high mmr player right? 🤭

Three games in a row. Huntress, Deathslinger and Hag, literally all face camped. the entire game was slugging and trading hooks. How is this remotely fun? Killers that can't even complete a good chase. So we either are either down a person or have two to three people tied up. It's ridiculous.
Let's add a real punishment. Speed up Gen repair when the killer is still in the area. Gens start popping they will be motivated to start working on Gen control....WHICH IS What THEY SHOULD BE DOING!!.
Start docking points, have them lose perks inside the radius... something.
I play killer just as much. Gen control and always been good for me. I end up letting survivors farm because usually I know they ain't getting out. Every once in a while you get a good sweaty team. It happens...you get schooled. This whole "they get gens done too quick" is bs.
I love playing killer, love playing Survivor with friends but this camping is ruining it for me. Especially when you have three in a row of literal face camping
The best way to punish camping and tunneling is to gen rush

On Reddit there's a big thread with killers saying this perk is op when used in combo with other perks in SWF. Let me explain what the problem is. The SWFs are taking Boil Over + Flip Flop + Unbreakable + toolbox + Petrified Oak. The result is it's almost impossible for the killer to hook anyone. They travel in teams of 2 so they can sabo the hook if the killer even manages to get there. If the killer leaves one on the ground they use Flip Flop and crawl away from the nearest hook. If the killer slugs they just revive with Unbreakable. I don't think BHVR was expecting this kind of combo and maybe it needs some tweaks? For example Boil Over could be reduced from 80% to 50% and remove the part that hides hooks from killers.
Let them have it at the cost of removing basekit BT

Ugh!… How annoying! But it is an awesome tech though.
